Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effects of genetic personality traits and parenting styles, particularly the authoritative parenting style, on children’s character development. The research employed a correlational design using a quantitative approach. Data were collected through online questionnaires distributed to respondents selected using a simple random sampling technique. The study population consisted of 150 parents of elementary school students. Data analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) with SmartPLS version 3.0 software. The findings indicated that genetic personality and authoritative parenting style exerted a positive and statistically significant influence on children’s character development.

Abstract

The diversity of family medicinal plants in Indonesia represents an important biological resource that supports public health and has considerable potential as a learning resource in biology; however, it has not been optimally utilized in senior high school biodiversity education. This study aims to identify medicinal plant species in Bulusari Village, analyze their distribution, and evaluate their potential as a biology learning resource based on local wisdom. The study employed an exploratory descriptive method with direct field observation and semi-structured interviews. Data collection was conducted using a total sampling technique, in which all medicinal plant species found in home gardens and surrounding village environments were recorded and identified. Data were analyzed descriptively based on botanical classification, distribution patterns, and medicinal uses. The results identified 25 medicinal plant species belonging to 19 families and 6 classes, with Asteraceae as the dominant family. The plants were distributed across cultivated home gardens and wild habitats. These findings indicate that the diversity of family medicinal plants in Bulusari Village has strong potential as a contextual biology learning resource for senior high school, supporting authentic, environment-based, and locally relevant learning.

Abstract

Biodiversity-based learning that utilizes local potential plays an important role in enhancing students’ understanding of biological concepts through direct interaction with real objects in their environment. This study aimed to identify Dendrobium orchid species found in Desa Nglurah, Tawangmangu District, Karanganyar Regency, and to analyze their potential as learning resources for senior high school biology, particularly on biodiversity topics. The research was conducted from May to August 2025 using a descriptive qualitative approach to describe field phenomena based on actual conditions. Data were collected through direct observations at several randomly selected sites and supported by descriptive notes, photographs, and records of morphological characteristics. Species identification was carried out using reference literature and Google Lens. Each encountered Dendrobium species was identified, and variations in flower morphology, color, and form were documented for classification purposes. The results revealed 26 Dendrobium orchid species classified into two main flower types: star-shaped flowers (22 species) and curly-shaped flowers (4 species). Flower color variations included white, pink, purple, golden brown, bluish purple, bright yellow, red, and bright green, most of which resulted from hybridization. These morphological variations reflect species-level biodiversity and align with senior high school biology learning outcomes. Therefore, Dendrobium orchids from Desa Nglurah have strong potential to be utilized as contextual and concrete learning resources. This study recommends further development of the identification results into biology learning media and teaching materials based on local potential.

Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education reshapes the learning process by positioning AI as a learning partner that influences students’ thinking, information exploration, and academic decision-making. This qualitative case study explores students’ cognitive presence in AI-assisted learning using the Community of Inquiry framework, focusing on the phases of triggering, exploration, integration, and resolution. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations of digital learning activities, and analysis of student interactions on an AI platform involving 12 students from a technology-based university in Gading Serpong. The findings show that AI effectively supports the triggering and exploration phases through adaptive feedback and conceptual assistance, while knowledge integration relies largely on students’ self-reflection. The resolution phase emerges primarily among students with higher digital literacy and self-regulation. The study concludes that AI can enhance cognitive presence, but its impact depends on students’ cognitive readiness and instructional design, contributing to AI-based learning theory and informing more adaptive, student-centered learning environments.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the consumer marketing strategy at the Magnetic Distro in Wajo Regency. The background of this study is based on the importance of marketing strategy in increasing sales, especially amidst competition between other entrepreneurs. Marketing strategy variables are measured through five indicators: price, place, product promotion and quality. Meanwhile, sales increase is measured through product indicators, income, customers, users and new variants. This study uses a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires distributed to 51 respondents selected from a population of 105 consumers. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression. The constant value of 23.783 indicates that sales increase by 23.783 if the marketing strategy variable is not changed. The marketing strategy has a regression coefficient of 0.066. This value indicates that sales increase by 0.284 if the marketing strategy is increased by one unit. The T test from the coefficients table on the pricing variable obtained a Tcount value = 523 with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. Based on the F test results shown in the ANOVA table, the calculated F value was 274 with a significance value of 603 > 0.05. With an R2 value of 0.006.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has changed people's consumption patterns, especially among students who are active users of e-commerce. This study aims to determine the effect of prices and promotions on the Shopee platform on the consumer behavior of students in the Management Study Program at the Lamaddukelleng Institute of Law and Economics. This type of research is quantitative with an associative approach. A sample of 60 respondents was selected using a purposive sampling technique with the criteria of students who actively shop at Shopee. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of the SPSS program version 31. The results showed that price (X₁) had a positive and significant effect on consumer behavior with a t-value of 4.704 and a significance of 0.000 <0.05, while promotion (X₂) also had a positive and significant effect with a t-value of 3.214 and a significance of 0.002 <0.05. Simultaneously, both variables had a significant effect on student consumer behavior with an F-value of 12.430 and a significance of 0.000 <0.05. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.426 indicates that price and promotion can explain 42.6% of the variation in student consumer behavior, while the remainder is influenced by other factors outside the research model. The results of this study prove that Shopee's digital pricing and promotion strategies significantly encourage student consumer behavior in the digital era
