Abstract

West Java is endowed with diverse natural landscapes—mountains, rivers, and forests—that offer strong potential for the development of sport tourism. As interest in nature-based and adventure tourism grows, especially among younger generations, the region has an opportunity to foster innovative and sustainable tourism models. This study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach to explore perceptions and challenges related to sport tourism in West Java. The research involved university students with a demonstrated interest in tourism and sports, selected for their responsiveness to emerging travel trends. Data were collected through questionnaires focusing on two key dimensions: natural potential and development challenges. Findings show that students generally view West Java as highly suitable for sport tourism, citing its natural richness and varied landscapes. However, several obstacles were identified, including inadequate infrastructure, limited safety regulations, and weak digital promotion. These challenges suggest the need for a more integrated strategy that aligns environmental potential with institutional and promotional support. Strengthening both ecological and managerial aspects will be essential in positioning sport tourism as a prominent driver of regional development and identity in West Java.

Abstract

Integrasi media pembelajaran dalam modul ajar merupakan aspek penting dalam pelaksanaan Kurikulum Merdeka di sekolah dasar. Namun, pada praktiknya guru masih menghadapi berbagai kendala, seperti keterbatasan sarana prasarana dan perbedaan kompetensi dalam mengintegrasikan media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses integrasi media pembelajaran dalam modul ajar, mengidentifikasi jenis media yang digunakan, menganalisis faktor pendukung dan penghambat, serta menjelaskan dampaknya terhadap pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus di SD Negeri Panyingkiran II, Kabupaten Sumedang. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen pembelajaran, yang dianalisis secara tematik dengan triangulasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru mengintegrasikan media pembelajaran melalui tahapan perencanaan, pemilihan media, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Media yang digunakan berupa media konvensional dan media digital sederhana berbasis offline. Integrasi media didukung oleh kolaborasi guru dan dukungan kepala sekolah, meskipun masih terkendala keterbatasan fasilitas. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya kreativitas guru dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran.

Abstract

The Social Welfare Center-Integrated Service and Referral System (Puskesos-SLRT) is a community-based institution designed to improve access to social welfare services for poor and vulnerable populations at the village and sub-district levels. In practice, the implementation of Puskesos-SLRT services has encountered major challenges, particularly the limited capacity of facilitators in managerial skills, social service delivery, and social data management. Therefore, this community service program aimed to enhance the capacity of Puskesos-SLRT facilitators in Sumedang Regency to enable them to perform their roles more effectively. The program was implemented through structured training, continuous mentoring, and capacity-building activities involving facilitators from 277 villages and sub-districts. The evaluation of capacity improvement was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, reflective discussions, and assessments of facilitators’ understanding of their roles and service functions before and after the program. The results indicate an improvement in facilitators’ understanding of social welfare service management, increased responsiveness to community needs, and strengthened coordination with local government institutions. Overall, this community service activity contributed to optimizing the role of Puskesos-SLRT facilitators in delivering more effective and integrated social welfare services at the local level   Abstrak Pusat Kesejahteraan Sosial-Sistem Layanan dan Rujukan Terpadu (Puskesos-SLRT) merupakan lembaga berbasis masyarakat yang berperan dalam mendekatkan layanan kesejahteraan sosial bagi masyarakat miskin dan rentan di tingkat desa dan kelurahan. Dalam praktiknya, pelaksanaan layanan Puskesos-SLRT masih menghadapi kendala utama berupa keterbatasan kapasitas sumber daya manusia fasilitator, khususnya pada aspek manajerial, keterampilan pelayanan sosial, dan pengelolaan data. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas fasilitator Puskesos-SLRT di Kabupaten Sumedang agar mampu menjalankan perannya secara lebih optimal. Pengabdian dilaksanakan melalui pelatihan terstruktur, pendampingan, dan pembinaan berkelanjutan yang melibatkan fasilitator dari 277 desa dan kelurahan. Metode evaluasi peningkatan kapasitas fasilitator dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif melalui observasi, diskusi reflektif, serta evaluasi pemahaman terhadap tugas dan fungsi layanan sebelum dan setelah kegiatan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman fasilitator terhadap manajemen layanan kesejahteraan sosial, meningkatnya responsivitas dalam menangani kebutuhan masyarakat, serta penguatan koordinasi dengan perangkat pemerintah daerah. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini berkontribusi pada optimalisasi peran fasilitator Puskesos-SLRT dalam penyelenggaraan layanan kesejahteraan sosial yang lebih efektif dan terpadu di tingkat lokal. Abstract

Student participation in class discussions in the Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) program is often still low, indicating the need for an instructional model that actively engages students. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) learning model in increasing the active participation of PGSD students in class discussions. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental One Group Pretest–Posttest Design involving 35 PGSD students. Data were collected through pretest–posttest instruments and observation sheets of student active participation and analyzed using descriptive statistics, paired sample t-test, and Cohen’s d effect size. The results showed a significant increase in students’ pretest and posttest scores, with a t-statistic of 19.18 and a p-value far below 0.05. The effect size analysis yielded a Cohen’s d value of 3.24, indicating a very strong effect of the TPS model. Observation results also demonstrated an improvement in all indicators of active participation from the fairly active category to very active. In conclusion, the Think-Pair-Share learning model is effective in enhancing active participation and creating a more interactive and collaborative learning environment for PGSD students.
