Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of social media platforms on the character formation and behavior of children in Sipayo Village, Sidoan Subdistrict, Parigi Moutong Regency. Amid the rapid advancement of digital technology, social media offers various benefits as well as challenges for the younger generation in rural areas. On one hand, these platforms facilitate children’s access to new knowledge, enhance communication, and foster creativity. On the other hand, uncontrolled usage often leads to decreased motivation and discipline in learning, reduced direct interaction with parents, excessive gadget dependency, susceptibility to uneducational trends, and the emergence of impolite attitudes and language.The research problems are focused on two main aspects: the forms of children’s behavior that emerge as a result of social media exposure, and the types of digital platforms most dominantly used by children in the village. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research was conducted in Sipayo Village. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with key informants, and analysis of related documents.Data analysis was carried out in stages, starting from data reduction, data presentation, to conclusion drawing. To ensure the validity of the findings, the researcher applied triangulation techniques covering sources, methods, and time.It is hoped that the results of this study will provide an in-depth description of social media usage patterns among village children, such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and WhatsApp, as well as various positive and negative behaviors that appear in family and community environments. These findings are expected to serve as valuable considerations for parents, teachers, and related stakeholders in developing strategies to improve digital literacy and strengthen character education for children in the current digital era.

Abstract

Nusantara's tafsir is understood as an interpretation product written by Nusantara scholars. There are things that are unique when we read the interpretations of Indonesian Ulama products. Among them, namely, the use of local languages, cultural elements and contexts that are specific to the Indonesian context. In general, after they perform the pilgrimage, they lived in Mecca-Arab for a long time to study religion over there, but their cultural identity and nationalism never disappeared. For example, Kiai Ṣaleh Darat who has a masterpiece in the form of interpretation, that is Faiḍ al-Raḥmān which will be explained in this article. The method used in this paper is descriptive analysis with a historical approach. The type of this research includes library research. The data sources are several libraries from books and journals describing Kiai Ṣaleh Darat. The result of this paper is a description of Kiai Ṣaleh Darat's intellectual history, the process of transmitting-transforming knowledge, its contribution to the thinking of the Nusantara’s Tafsir, and the locality of the interpretation of faidhur rahman.

Abstract

Kondisi nalar Arab mengalami stagnasi yang cukup akut. Akibatnya, dunia Arab mengalami ketertinggalan dibanding dengan nalar modern yang semakin berkembang. Problem mendasar tersebut menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi M. Abid al-Jabiri untuk membangkitkan nalar Arab dari tidur panjang. Al-Jabiri berpendapat bahwa dunia Arab dan Islam tidak harus menutup mata dari perkembangan dunia Barat, justru harus terjadi dialog kritis dan dialog peradaban. Metode yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah deskriptif analisis. Dilihat dari jenisnya penelitian ini termasuk riset kepustakaan (library research). Sumber pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah beberapa pustaka dari buku dan jurnal yang memaparkan tentang “Epistemologi Keilmuan Islam al-Jabiri”. Hasil dari tulisan ini menjelaskan bahwa al-Jabiri sangat menekankan epistemologi pemikiran Arab kontemporer sebagai jalan untuk menghadapi modernitas. Dalam upaya merekostruksi nalar Arab kontemporer, al-Jabiri membagi tiga nalar epistemologi yaitu bayani, burhani dan irfani. Apabila sinergitas ketiga paradigma epistemologi tersebut dilakukan maka teks atau naṣ keagamaan tidak lagi gamang berdialog dengan isu-isu kontemporer, karena teks tersebut sebenarnya sudah membawa pesan universal tentang kemanusiaan (humanity), keadilan (justice), dan kesetaraan (equality).
