One way that can be used to make mathematics learning more concrete and easy to understand is the contextual model of media-assisted teaching and learning. Classroom Action Research has the aim of improving mathematics learning outcomes for arithmetic operations on integers, addition and subtraction in class I at SDN Bintoro 05 Jember by using the Contextual Teaching and Learning model with the help of a Character Calendar. Contextual Teaching And Learning Learning Model is a learning model that connects material with the real world. The method used is the Class Action Research method with the Kemmis and MC Taggart spiral cycle which has 2 cycle stages. The approach used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The results of the research that have been carried out show that the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning model assisted by the Character Calendar can affect student learning outcomes with a significant increase in results in the first cycle of 50% with an average value of 70 in addition and a percentage of 50% with an average score of 62.5 on subtraction. The next increase can be seen in the second cycle of 100%.

Science learning should be carried out using a method that is in accordance with its nature as a product, process, and scientific attitude. One method that can be applied is the experimental method. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of science learning outcomes in fifth grade students of SDN Pucangan III through the experimental method. In this study, the data collection methods used were interviews, observation, tests, and documentation with quantitative qualitative data analysis techniques. The result of this research is that there is an increase in the science learning outcomes of the fifth grade students of SDN Pucangan III in each cycle. At the pre-cycle stage, the percentage of the number of students who completed was only 60% with an average value of 67. In the first cycle there was no increase in the number of students who completed, which was still in the range of 60%, but there was a slight increase in the average learning outcomes to 68%. In cycle II, the percentage of the number of students completed and student learning outcomes both increased, respectively to 80% and 78. Based on this, it can be concluded that the experimental method can improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN Pucangan III in science learning.

The science learning outcomes of sixth graders at SDN Dlemer in understanding solar and lunar eclipses are still low. This is caused by teachers who only use the lecture method so that learning becomes ineffective. To improve student learning outcomes on the material of solar and lunar eclipses, it is necessary to have a variety of learning methods, one of which is the demonstration method. Therefore, this study aims to determine whether the demonstration method can improve the learning outcomes of sixth grade students at SDN Dlemer. This research is in the form of classroom action research which is carried out in two cycles. Collecting data using interview, observation, test, and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the learning outcomes of students in science subjects regarding solar and lunar eclipses have increased. In the first cycle the average value of the class was 54.37 and the remaining number of students who successfully completed it were 6 students or 37.5%. In the second cycle the average value of the class increased to 80.25 with the number of students who successfully completed 14 students or 86.5%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of the demonstration method can improve student learning outcomes.
