Abstract

Building an entrepreneurial enterprise with a team is a dynamic process and requires effective teamwork. Thus, The idea of shared leadership as a team leadership approach is crucial. Based on social exchange theory, Through knowledge sharing as a moderator and team trust and creativity as a mediator, we examine how shared leadership might enhance team performance.  To test our hypotheses, data were collected from 71 entrepreneurial teams (306 members and 73 supervisors) through combined online and offline surveys. Aggregated at the team level, Smart PLS 3.0 was used to analyze the data and evaluate the suggested model. Findings reveal that team performance is greatly improved by shared leadership, with trust and creativity partially mediating this effect. Contrary to expectations, knowledge sharing did not moderate the relationship This study advances the literature by introducing team creativity as a previously underexplored mediating mechanism in the link between team performance and shared leadership. Moreover, the use of dyadic data from both leaders and team members strengthens the methodological rigor by mitigating common method bias and enhancing the robustness of the findings. The findings highlight the critical role of building trust and encouraging creativity in boosting team effectiveness, providing meaningful insights for improving entrepreneurship programs in Indonesia and promoting long-term success.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the paradigm shift in the study of orientalism through the thoughts of contemporary orientalists such as Karen Armstrong, Annemarie Schimmel, Martin Lings, John Obert Voll, and Charles Kurzman. This article attempts to show how their approaches correct the bias of classical orientalists by offering a more sympathetic, holistic, and internally based perspective on Islam. This research uses a qualitative approach through literature studies with descriptive analysis methods. This study finds that the paradigm shift from classical to contemporary orientalism was triggered by historical, religious, political, cultural, and intellectual factors after the end of colonialism. These contemporary orientalists emerged and brought major contributions such as a humanist approach that emphasizes an empathetic narrative of Islam, a deep spiritual and esoteric understanding of Islam, and a critical analysis of the dynamics of contemporary Islam in responding to modernity and democracy. Together, they challenge the stereotype of classical orientalism by showing the diversity, depth, and relevance of Islam in a global context. This article concludes that the thoughts of contemporary orientalists have represented a new generation of Islamic studies in the West that is fairer and more objective. They not only correct the misperceptions of past orientalism, but also pave the way for a more productive dialogue between Islam and the West. Keywords: Contemporary Orientalism; Classical Orientalism; Paradigm Shift.

Abstract

: This study examines the limitations of classical ushul fiqh epistemology in responding to legal challenges in the digital era. Traditional ushul fiqh, which is grounded in a textual-formalist and analogical logic approach, is considered inadequate in addressing the complexities of modern technology and society. In this context, two contemporary Muslim thinkers—Nasr Abu Zayd and Khaled Abou El Fadl—are analyzed as representatives of a new approach to Islamic law that emphasizes contextual and ethical interpretation. Nasr Abu Zayd highlights the importance of hermeneutics in interpreting religious texts, rejecting the notion of a singular, objective meaning and emphasizing the social and historical contexts of interpretation. Meanwhile, Khaled Abou El Fadl underscores the ethical and justice-oriented dimensions of ijtihad and Islamic legal production. Both thinkers offer a critique of authoritarian interpretation and propose a more inclusive, participatory, and relevant framework for engaging with contemporary digital legal issues such as AI-generated fatwas, crypto transactions, and personal data protection. Using a qualitative approach and textual analysis, this study concludes that a reconstruction of ushul fiqh epistemology is necessary— one that is based on a contextual-ethical perspective. These findings are crucial for developing an Islamic legal framework that is more responsive to digital realities and for opening methodological reform within contemporary Islamic studies.

Abstract

Objective: This study examines the impact of energy-saving labels and social media on consumers' intentions to purchase energy-efficient household appliances (EHAs), utilizing the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) framework with curiosity and attitude as sequential mediators. Design/Methods/Approach: Data were collected through an online consumer survey, which resulted in 318 valid responses. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was employed to test the hypothesized relationships. Findings: The results indicate that energy-saving labels and social media significantly enhance consumer curiosity about EHAs, strengthening positive attitudes and purchase intentions. Curiosity and attitude sequentially mediate the effects of these external stimuli on purchase intention, with energy-saving labels exerting a more decisive influence than social media across the mediation pathway. Originality/Value: By extending the S-O-R framework to EHA adoption in a developing economy context, this study offers new insights into the psychological mechanisms shaping sustainable consumption, particularly the sequential mediation through curiosity and attitude. Practical/Policy implications: The findings suggest that clear energy-saving labels and culturally relevant social media campaigns can stimulate consumer curiosity and foster positive attitudes. These strategies can inform marketing practices and policy initiatives to accelerate EHA adoption and contribute to broader global sustainability goals.
