Abstract

This research was conducted to find out how effective the blended learning learning method is for thematic learning in increasing student learning independence. The results of the observation of learning in pre-cycle students experience difficulties in learning independently due to a lack of motivation from the teacher and confusion in understanding and finding references to subject matter. This research is a classroom action research with blended learning variables to increase learning independence. From the implementation of the actions of cycle II, it is known that there is an increase in learning independence through the Blended Learning approach. It can be seen from (1) the criteria for learning independence, namely the average score of the selfconfidence aspect is 81.43; discipline aspect 81.07 ; initiative aspect 79.64 ; and aspects of responsibility 82.14. The average score for each aspect has reached the minimum completeness criteria, namely 75. (2) where the average student score increases from cycle I (before action) which is 62.14 and in cycle II is 77, 14. (3) Learning completeness also increased from cycle I, namely 42.86% to 85.71% in cycle II. Thus thematic learning with a blended learning approach is said to be successful. As for the advantages and disadvantages of blended learning, the advantages of this approach include that students are more active in learning, learning is more varied and interesting with various learning support platforms, and student learning independence increases. While the weaknesses are such as if the teacher does not master the learning support platform, the learning objectives will not be achieved.

Abstract

This research was conducted in response to the low literacy skills in reading and writing the Javanese language among elementary school students, particularly in the use of unggah-ungguh basa (levels of politeness in Javanese speech). Many students at MI Islamiyah Ngrejeng still struggle to use krama (formal Javanese) in daily communication. The aim of this study is to develop an interactive multimedia product called Pacelathon and to analyze its development process, results, and effectiveness in strengthening students’ Javanese literacy. This study employed the Research and Development (R\&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The multimedia developed integrates animated videos, Wordwall quizzes, and audio narration in Javanese accents. Expert validation results showed a high level of feasibility: 92.5% from media and language experts and 90% from subject matter experts. The effectiveness test revealed an increase in students’ average scores from 79% (pre-test) to 86% (post-test), with an N-Gain score of 0.33, which falls into the moderate category. These findings indicate that the Pacelathon interactive multimedia is both feasible and moderately effective in improving students’ literacy in the Javanese language, and it can serve as a meaningful learning tool to preserve local culture through education.

Abstract

The lack of use of digital-based learning media causes the social studies learning process to be less than optimal, in addition, in the initial research the critical thinking skills of students in class V of MI Al-Ma'had Roudlotul Huda were low, so the researcher developed augmented reality learning media. The purpose of this study is to develop AR-based digital learning media in IPAS subjects to improve the critical thinking skills of students in class V of MI Al-Ma'had Roudlotul Huda. This research uses the Research and Development research method, with the ADDIE development model: analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. This study involved 20 students in class V. The results of the study explained that the augmented reality learning media developed was suitable for use, as evidenced by the validation results of material experts of 93% and media experts of 91%. The results of the product test in the pre-test stage showed a percentage of 63.3% in the "medium" category, while in the post-test stage it showed a percentage of 92% in the "high" category. Furthermore, the results of the pre-test and post-test were analyzed with the N-Gain formula, and the result was 0.74 with the category of "high improvement". Based on these results, it is stated that augmented reality learning media shows that it is very feasible to use in the learning process. In addition, augmented reality learning media has proven to be very effective in helping students understand, analyze, and draw conclusions by relating to everyday experiences.
