Abstract

Introduction: The Indonesian healthcare sector has grown quite impressively these years, with increased competition due to private investments and rapid development in the services of hospitals. Even though government hospitals dominate the market with 51.4%, the business environment is promising, with private hospitals having a low concentration ratio that demands strategic initiatives in terms of service quality and reputation. This research investigates the relationships between hospital image, patient satisfaction, and loyalty. Methods: This scoping review utilized databases like Google Scholar, PubMed, and Science Direct, focusing on studies published between 2019 and 2024. The keywords used for this scoping review were: (Hospital Brand OR Hospital Image OR Hospital Reputation OR Hospital Identity OR Hospital Branding Identity OR Hospital Branding) AND (Patient Satisfaction OR Satisfied Patient OR Healthcare Satisfaction OR Patient Experience OR Hospital OR Healthcare Service Evaluation OR Patient Perception of Care OR Patient Perception of Service) AND (Patient Loyalty OR Patient Retention OR Patient Adherence OR Patient Commitment OR Hospital Loyalty OR Healthcare Consumer Retention OR Healthcare Consumer Loyalty). Results: After screening 367 records, 101 studies were assessed for eligibility, and 12 met the inclusion criteria. Results consistently highlight the direct and indirect impact of hospital reputation on patient satisfaction and loyalty. Conclusion: Patient satisfaction played a major role in forming patient loyalty. Healthcare providers should be more aware of developing services through medical equipment and medical personnel recruitment, which may lead to the improvement of patient experiences and create satisfaction and loyalty. Future research needs to investigate complex correlations that may form patient loyalty in a hospital setting including socio-economic aspects, perceived value, and service quality.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Medication Supervisors (PMO) during the treatment period of tuberculosis patients have an important role in patient non-compliance in treatment, as a reminder for patients to return to health facilities and motivate patients so that the patient's treatment success rate will increase. The role of PMO in motivating patients to continue taking OAT as recommended by health workers, with the aim of preventing patients from breaking the treatment period and preventing drug resistance. This study aims analyze the factors associated with the practice of tuberculosis medication supervisors (PMO) in carrying out their duties. The design of this study is analytic with a statistical quantitative approach to test the hypothesis that has been set. Data collection used in this study was a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a sample size of 100 people from a total population of 203 PMO. The research was conducted by filling out a closed questionnaire. Data were analyzed by Chi-Square test and logistic regression. There was a significant relationship between knowledge towards PMO practices (p=0,001), attitude (p =0,000), and communication (p= 0,015) towards PMO practices, while health worker support did not have a significant relationship with PMO practices. Variables that are jointly related to PMO practices are knowledge (p=0,026) and attitude (p=0,024). It can be concluded that the majority of PMO in the Kedungmundu Community Health center working area have good PMO practices. Abstract

Doctor patient consultation services play a crucial role in improving healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. With the increasing adoption of telemedicine and mobile health applications, understanding the impact of these consultation services on patient adherence, recovery, and satisfaction has become essential. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of various consultation methods, including telemedicine and mobile apps, in enhancing treatment adherence and patient experience, particularly in managing chronic diseases such as tuberculosis and diabetes. A comprehensive literature review was conducted, analyzing empirical studies focused on doctor–patient consultations delivered through traditional, telemedicine, and mobile health platforms. Key variables examined included service quality dimensions (reliability, responsiveness, empathy), educational interventions, and the use of digital reminder systems. Studies from diverse healthcare settings and patient populations were considered to assess the influence of consultation quality and technology-assisted interventions on patient adherence and health outcomes. Findings consistently demonstrate that high-quality consultation services significantly improve patient adherence and satisfaction. Telemedicine and mobile applications contribute positively by facilitating continuous engagement and medication reminders. Educational efforts integrated into consultation processes further enhance patient knowledge and compliance. However, adherence is multifactorial, influenced by socio-economic status, health literacy, and systemic healthcare barriers. While telemedicine shows promise, challenges such as infrastructure limitations and regulatory hurdles remain. The study recommends integrating technology with empathetic, patient-centered communication and tailored educational support to optimize treatment adherence and clinical outcomes.
