Abstract

Hospitals function to provide complete health services, both curative and preventive, to the community. Hospital pharmacy installations have an important role in managing medicines such as selection, planning, procurement, storage, distribution, and use of medicines. Planning drug needs is one of the important factors in selecting the type and determining the amount of drug needs. To formulate a strategy, you must start with a situation analysis, one of which is using a SWOT analysis. To determine a SWOT analysis of drug planning in hospitals using a Scoping Review approach. This study uses a Scoping Review method of research using a qualitative approach. Searching for research data sources used the PRISMA-ScR flow diagram which came from several databases such as Google Scholar, ProQuest, and Science Direct. Where published in the last 5 years (2019-2023). Search results using the database obtained 1524 articles. After that, we checked the research location and the year the article was submitted, 1517 articles did not meet the inclusion criteria. A SWOT analysis was carried out from the seven articles. SWOT analysis is the most appropriate analysis for carrying out drug planning in hospitals. Using SWOT analysis makes it easier to determine opportunities and strategies that will be used in the next process.

Abstract

Patient safety is a global and national issue for hospitals, which is also an important component of the basic principles of patient care, quality of health services and a critical component of quality management. The implementation of nursing actions must be by operational standards and safety targets, to improve the quality and quality of services and minimize the number of patient safety incidents. This research aims to analyze behavioral factors that influence the role of nurses in implementing patient safety goals. This research is quantitative research with a type of non-experimental research, namely design or relationship design or to test the significance of hypotheses. Sampling in this study used the sample census method, therefore 68 nurses were selected with the criteria of 23 nurses as a profession, 1 person with a bachelor's degree in nursing, and 44 people with a D3 nursing degree. The results of this research show that the factors that influence nurses in implementing patient safety targets consist of nurse experience, age, knowledge, self-efficacy, health facilities, training and work environment. The variables of nurse experience and nurse age were not found to have a relationship with the nurse's role, but the variables of nurse knowledge, self-efficacy, health facilitation, training and work environment partially had a relationship with the nurse's role in implementing safety targets for patients at RSU William Booth Semarang. Apart from that, the results showed that the dominant factor influencing the role of nurses in implementing patient safety targets was self-efficacy.

Abstract

Electronic medical records (EMR) have made the management of patient health information more efficient by replacing manual record keeping. However, health workers still need to understand and apply RME well to get the maximum benefits. The role of counseling is needed for health workers in changing the use of manual media to digital. The research method uses scoping review. Based on the PubMed database as many as 88,041 articles with the keyword "electronic medical records" and as many as 84 articles with the search keyword "electronic medical records and video learning". The results of article screening in the last 10 years from 2013 – 2023 were 74 articles. Then there are exceptions based on article type, namely Clinical Trial as many as 2 articles and Randomized Controlled Trial as many as 1 article. So that articles that match the theme: review and systematic review as many as 10 articles. VOSviewer generates network, overlay and density visualization. The role of counseling through video media in electronic medical records is very important. The counseling provided does not help them deal with social, emotional, and psychological problems that may arise as a result of such changes. Abstract

Background: Public health graduates are increasingly expected to possess not only theoretical knowledge but also practical competencies such as task execution, adaptability, and effective communication. In Indonesia, however, assessment practices predominantly focus on cognitive domains, often overlooking essential workforce competencies. Methods: This study employs a descriptive case study approach at the Faculty of Public Health, Diponegoro University, analyzing 18 group reports from the 2024 Field Learning Practice 2 (FLP_2) program. Assessment focuses on five competency dimensions defined by the Indonesian National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP): Task Skills (TS), Task Management Skills (TMS), Contingency Management Skills (CMS), Transfer Skills (TRS), and Job/Role Environment Skills (JRES). Results: Students demonstrated TS through systematic problem identification using the Multiple Criteria Utility Analysis (MCUA). TMS was evident in the planning and management of community interventions. CMS was reflected in effective responses to health crises, such as dengue outbreaks. TRS was noted for its ability to adapt to different socio-cultural environments. JRES was demonstrated through professional conduct in diverse institutional contexts. Authentic learning activities fostered readiness for complex public health roles. Conclusion: FLP_2 effectively evaluates comprehensive public health competencies. A shift towards performance-based, contextual assessment frameworks is essential for aligning education with workforce needs. Embedding such frameworks into curricula will enhance the quality and preparedness of graduates for addressing real-world challenges

Abstract

Drug management is a process of planning, implementation, and control. This study evaluates the drug procurement planning process at the Pharmacy Installation of X General Hospital. The research is descriptive qualitative. Data for this study were collected in November 2023, at X General Hospital. The informants in this study consisted of 5 individuals, 2 primary informants, the Head of the Pharmacy Installation and the Pharmacy Warehouse Pharmacist, and 3 triangulation informants, a user, a finance staff member, and the Deputy Director. Data collection techniques included indepth interviews, direct observation (IFRS) with note-taking, and document analysis using monthly drug usage reports. The triangulation method was also applied. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results revealed that the drug planning process, drug selection, and drug calculation were different from holds. Price determination during planning was based on prices offered by suppliers by cooperation agreements. Examination of financial records showed that the percentage of capital funds in 2023 was 20.7%, indicating that the allocation of funds was inefficient. The number of drug items held at the Hospital, compared to those planned for 2023, was 91.8%, meaning not all drugs were acquired as planned. Similarly, the percentage of drug receipts relative to the plan was also 91.8%, further indicating that not all drugs were received as expected. This study concludes that drug planning and procurement at X General Hospital must still comply with existing regulations, necessitating planning, procurement, and evaluation improvements. The ABC-VEN method can be utilized to assist hospitals in creating a matrix to plan drug procurement more effectively Keywords: Pharmacy, Management, Medicine, Hospital

Abstract

Marketing strategy is important in marketing management. Hospitals need to develop effective strategies to increase outpatient service visits. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the Segmenting, Targeting, and Positioning (STP) strategy with outpatient revisits at Waled Hospital, Cirebon Regency. The design used was quantitative descriptive with a cross-sectional approach in 110 patients (Slovin, 10% error tolerance) who were selected by consecutive sampling. Primary data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire that was tested for validity (p<0.05) and reliability (?>0.60). The analysis included univariate for perception and bivariate using Chi-Square test (?=0.05) and Spearman Rank test (?=0.05). The results of the respondent's characteristic test showed that it was not related to the outpatient revisit of Waled Hospital. The results showed positive perceptions of segmenting (easy access, services for all ages, easy flow) and positioning (quality is considered good, many polyclinics, affordable prices), while targeting was relatively weak (innovation and promotion are less attractive; routine treatment is low). Although the proportion of repeat visits was higher in the "good" category in each variable, the Spearman Rank test showed a significant relationship between segmenting (p=0.320), targeting (p=0.287), and positioning (p=0.491) and repeat visits. These findings indicate the need to focus attention on other components of healthcare and a follow-up evaluation of hospital marketing strategies to ensure alignment with patient needs and perceptions.

Abstract

Healthcare experiences have been transformed in the digital age by patients' communication. Electronic word of mouth (eWOM) is no longer simply a technical phenomenon. It plays an essential role in influencing the way that service quality and satisfaction are perceived in hospital outpatient care. Online feedback from patients can describe their positive and negative experiences, making eWOM a key means of gauging what matters most to them. In this scoping review, we investigate the ways in which eWOM reflects and influences service quality and patient experience in outpatient care. The goal was so hospitals could actually develop and implement solutions that are responsive to patient needs and sincere. The infusion of such digital insight can drive patient satisfaction and increase the hospital's reputation in the community. Following the PRISMA-ScR framework, a literature search was performed in the Scopus database (2013–2025) employing PCC-based keywords: electronic word of mouth, online review, hospital, and outpatient. Of 527 records, 14 studies fulfilled the inclusion criteria. A narrative synthesis of the data, including variables of eWOM, quality dimensions of service provision, and patient outcomes. Findings suggest eWOM has a notable impact on decision and hospital reputation. Negative reviews (particularly about waits, communication and staff attitude) weighed a bit heavier than positive ones. Responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and reliability stood out as the most relevant dimensions of service quality aligned to SERVQUAL. Digital feedback rose during the COVID-19 pandemic, with an increased emphasis on hygiene and safety. eWOM acts as an immediate feedback method of supplementing traditional quality assessments. Hospitals are encouraged to implement eWOM analysis techniques as part of their quality improvement systems in order to provide digitalized and patient-oriented care.

Pencarian artikel dilakukan melalui search engine ScienceDirect, Portal Garuda dan ProQuest dengan kata kunci: “pandemi COVID-19” OR “kunjungan ibu balita” OR “posyandu”.
