Abstract

This research aims to describe mathematics creative thinking skill reviewed by habits of mind on probing-prompting learning with open-ended approach. The used research method is mixed method with concurrent embedded design. The population of this research consisted of X grade SMA N 1 Sumpiuh, in academic year 2019/2020. The subjects consisted of seven selected students based on high, moderate, and low habits of mind. The technique of collecting the data used mathematics creative thinking skill test, habits of mind questionnaire, and interview. The results showed that the description of students' mathematics creative thinking skills in each category of high, moderate, and low habits of mind had different mastery of mathematics creative thinking skills. This difference does not depend on the category of students' habits of mind, but because of students’ learning activities.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to produce a learning module with mobile augmented reality based on 9E Learning Cycle. This research is a type of research design. The development model used is ADDIE model which consists of five development phases namely analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of this study are learning modules that have been installed with QR-code and ModulAR apps that runs on the Android operating system. The results of validation get from experts’ reviewer that consist of 4 mathematics education lecturers and 3 mathematics teachers that showed the predicate of products was valid without revision for use. Then, the module and ModulAR apps has been implemented at SMPN 2 Mantup, Lamongan which involved 68 students who were divided into experimental and control classes. The module and ModulAR apps has received a practical predicate based on the analysis of the practicality questionnaire filled out by experimental class’s students. The use of learning modules with mobile augmented reality based on 9E Learning Cycle is also effective to improve problem solving skills. It can be seen from the average n-gain score obtained 61.10% which is include in the moderate category and the results of the independent-samples t test show that the average of problem solving skills improvement in the experimental class is significantly higher than the control class. The purpose of this research was to produce a learning module with mobile augmented reality based on 9E Learning Cycle. This type of research was a research design developed using the ADDIE development model with five development steps, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of this study are the learning module and the ModulAR application that runs on the Android operating system. The results of expert validation consisting of 4 mathematics education lecturers and 3 SMP / MTs mathematics teachers showed a valid predicate without revision for 8 aspects of validity. The product developed has been implemented at SMPN 2 Mantup, Lamongan which involved 68 students who were divided into experimental and control classes. The product developed has received a practical predicate based on the analysis of the practicality questionnaire filled out by students in the experimental class. The use of learning modules with mobile augmented reality based on the 9E Learning Cycle is also effective in improving problem solving skills. This is based on the average n-gain score of 61.10% which is included in the intermediate category and the results of the comparative test show that the average increase in problem-solving abilities in the experimental class is higher than the control class.

This research method is mixed-method research with a sequential explanatory design. The research population is class VIII SMP Futuhiyyah Mranggen Academic Year 2020/2021. The sampling technique of self-regulated learning uses simple random sampling by taking 6 subjects. The results show that students with high Self-Regulated Learning can have a smooth flow of thought, can produce uniform ideas, can give answers that are different or unusual from the others, and can develop, add, and enrich an idea. Students with Self-Regulated Learning can have a smooth flow of thought and can develop, add, and enrich an idea. Students with low Self-Regulated Learning are only able to have a smooth flow of thought.

Abstract

The learning objectives according to Permendiknas Number 22 emphasize that students could understand problems, design, and solve mathematical models, and interpret the solutions obtained. The objective will be the basis for students to become independent learners. Missouri Mathematics Project learning has a strong chance to achieve this goal. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of the Missouri Mathematics Project learning model on understanding mathematical concepts in terms of independent attitudes of fifth grade students. A combination research (Mixed Method) is used in this study by combining of Concurrent Embedded design. The sample in this study amounted to 58 students who were divided into two classes, namely the experimental class with 30 students and the control class with a total of 28 students. The results showed that there was an effect of the Missouri Mathematics Project learning model on understanding mathematical concepts in terms of the independent attitude of grade V students. This was indicated by the average percentage of understanding mathematical concepts by 63.1%. Students' understanding of mathematical concepts with the Missouri Mathematics Project learning model has been classically completed, are 73. The average independent attitude of students using the Missouri Mathematics Project learning model with an average percentage yield of 83.7%. Student independence has a significant effect on students' understanding of mathematical concepts by 10.6%, while the remaining 89.4% is influenced by other factors. It can be concluded that the Missouri Mathematics Project learning model affects the understanding of mathematical concepts in terms of students' independent attitudes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of learning models Eliciting Activities Model and Problem Based Learning to investigate the problem-solving ability and thoroughness learn problem-solving skills with both models. Sampling was conducted by cluster random sampling. Experimental class were treated by applying a learning model eliciting Activities Model and control class were treated by applying the learning model of Problem Based Learning. Data collection techniques used are the methods of documentation, testing, and observation. Data is collected by administering the test problem-solving abilities at the end of the study. Average problem-solving ability test of class experiment is 80.15 while the control class is 73.01. Based on the results of tests of normality and homogenity of the test result data, the data obtained that the two samples of normal and homogeneous, so to test the hypothesis used the t test. From the calculation results obtained tcount = 2.27, while the value of a ttable = 2.00, because tcount> ttable then H0 is rejected. Thus, the average problem-solving abilities of students in the experimental class is better than the control class. Based on these results concluded that the learning model eliciting Model Problem Based Learning Activities and effective problem-solving skills, but learning model eliciting Activities Model better than the Problem Based Learnin.
