Abstract

Kata Kunci: Nilai Sejarah Lokal, Memori Siswa, Kesadaran Sejarah Exposure to local history can help students bridge their understanding of historical events in the surrounding community and foster their interest in learning history. The purpose of this paper is to describe how teachers instill historical values in Kudus Regency among students, delineate students' memories of the history of Kudus Regency, and analyze the extent of students' historical awareness regarding the historical heritage of Kudus Regency. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with the research conducted at SMA NU Al Ma'ruf Kudus. The findings of this paper suggest that, in instilling local historical values in Kudus district, the initial strategy employed by teachers is to capture students' interest first and then provide knowledge, including information about key figures who spread Islam in Kudus, da'wah, teachings, and historical heritage in Kudus. Students' memory of the local history of Kudus district is closely associated with Islamic history. Children from Islamic boarding schools, in particular, have a better understanding of the value of tolerance, as they grasp the meaning behind the prohibition of slaughtering cows—a teaching that originated in Kudus when Islam entered the region. Other students are familiar with the figures who spread Islam in Kudus and the methods employed by each of these figures in their preaching. Abstract

Kata kunci: penanaman nilai, ketokohan Soekarno, pembelajaran sejarah The cultivation of values is an important aspect of history education. By instilling values, it can contribute to shaping the nation's character and fostering superior individuality. The purpose of this writing is to explore the role of teachers in instilling the values of Soekarno's leadership, students' memory of Soekarno's leadership, and the implementation of these values in daily life at SMA Kesatrian 1 Semarang. The method used in this study is the qualitative descriptive method. The research findings indicate that the role of teachers in instilling the values of Soekarno's leadership can be seen through aspects such as knowledge conveyed through lectures and video presentations, the values instilled in students, the media used, and the teaching methods and evaluation. The most remembered memory of students about Soekarno is his role as the proclaimer of independence. However, in the liberal era, students cannot recall Soekarno's leadership, but they do remember the guided democracy period when Soekarno had full authority. The values that can be implemented in daily life include firm and wise leadership, nationalism manifested through participating in ceremonies, singing the Indonesian national anthem, and having a high sense of social spirit displayed through tolerance, respect for opinions, and lack of selfishness. Suggestions for teachers include providing students with knowledge that goes beyond a single topic, evaluating the taught material, schools providing historical spaces, and students enhancing their literacy in reading historical materials. Keywords: values cultivation, Soekarno’s leadership, history learning

Abstract

The presence of itinerant traders and street vendors who are categorized as small traders in the city of Semarang is not a problem that disturbs the order and beauty of the city. However, when their activities are carried out in areas that the gemeente views as spaces that are free from disorder and free from disorder, then both categories of traders will experience a fate that is not in their favor. The big question that is then presented in this article is, how do we understand the existence of traveling traders and street vendors from a historiographic perspective? To answer this problem, it is necessary to present as optimally as possible primary sources to present an adequate historical narrative.
