Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of the experimental method, specifically using hydroponic techniques, in improving student learning outcomes in primary school science education. A quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test measures was employed, involving two groups of sixth-grade students from MI NU Tamrinut Thullab Undaan Kudus, Indonesia. The experimental group engaged in hands-on hydroponic activities, while the control group received traditional lecture-based instruction. The results indicate a significant improvement in the experimental group’s post-test scores (M = 89.31) compared to the control group (M = 74.33), with statistical analysis revealing a t-value of 5.85 (p < 0.05). Qualitative feedback from students further supports these findings, as they reported increased motivation and a deeper understanding of scientific concepts through the experimental method. This study highlights the potential of inquiry-based, hands-on learning to enhance student engagement and performance, especially in resource-limited educational settings. The findings suggest that integrating experimental methods into the science curriculum can significantly improve learning outcomes and should be considered in future educational reforms. However, the study's limitations, including a small sample size, indicate the need for further research to replicate these findings in diverse contexts.

Abstract

The gubernatorial candidate debate was broadcast live streaming through various YouTube channels, which attracted public attention. Many discussions and conversations appeared in the comments section of each YouTube channel that broadcasted the debate. Given the numerous public discussions, it is undoubtedly interesting to analyze the contents of the conversations, as well as the expectations and feedback from the public. However, analyzing conversations in the form of text data will be challenging using conventional methods. Therefore, in this study, public opinion will be analyzed using the topic identification and sentiment classification approaches. Topic identification is conducted to obtain accurate information about what the public is discussing, while sentiment classification is used to determine whether each comment contains positive or negative sentiments. This research is novel because it utilizes data collected from various major media YouTube channels and includes a qualitative analysis of the findings. This study uses public comment data taken from the KPU, NarasiTV, and KompasTV YouTube channels; the results obtained included 4,147 data points. Data preprocessing involves identifying topics using the LDA method, evaluating the LDA model, performing sentiment classification using IndoBERT, and visualizing the results of the public opinion analysis. The results revealed five topics with a perplexity value of -7.7909 and a coherence score of 0.5109. In addition, topic 4 is the most dominant compared to other topics, with 1,146 comments classified as positive sentiment and 504 classified as negative sentiment. Topic 4 reflects how religion, culture, and frequently mentioned figures are perceived and discussed by the public, especially in relation to the gubernatorial election (pilgub) or gubernatorial candidate debates.

Abstract

Abstract

Introduction: Mental health issues among university students are becoming increasingly prevalent and have a significant impact on academic performance and overall well-being. In response, mobile health (mHealth) applications and digital psychometric tools have emerged as promising solutions for expanding access to mental health support. However, challenges remain in terms of effectiveness, user engagement, long-term scalability, and integration into institutional frameworks and policy systems. Methods: This study conducts a comprehensive bibliometric analysis using three established techniques co-citation analysis, bibliographic coupling, and co-word analysis to examine the evolution of digital mental health research in higher education. These complementary methods collectively provide a triangulated understanding of intellectual foundations, thematic development, and conceptual trends. Data were retrieved from the Scopus database, filtered for relevance, and visualized using VOSviewer software to identify key themes, conceptual structures, and research trends. Results: The analysis identified four major co-citation clusters centered on psychometric tools and digital intervention strategies, three bibliographic coupling clusters highlighting challenges in engagement and implementation, and five Co-word clusters representing emerging research areas such as mindfulness apps, resilience, and digital literacy. Findings reveal growing interdisciplinary collaboration, yet highlight persistent barriers in user adherence, cultural adaptation, and policy development. Conclusion: The study provides a structured overview of current research on digital mental health interventions in higher education, uncovering gaps in policy integration and long-term effectiveness. It offers practical insights for educators, healthcare professionals, and policymakers seeking to develop sustainable, evidence-based mental health strategies. Moving forward, institutions must focus on inclusive design, ethical data use, and institutional readiness to enhance the impact and scalability of digital mental health tools.

Abstract

This study develops a web-based Service Management Information System tailored for small-scale tool maintenance businesses that traditionally lack integrated management solutions. These micro enterprises commonly encounter operational inefficiencies such as poor workflow management, inaccurate cost estimation, and manual transaction recording, which hinder service quality and diminish customer trust. The proposed system addresses these challenges by automating critical service functions, including customer queue management, technician diagnostics, spare parts tracking, and invoice generation, thereby improving operational efficiency and transparency. The development process followed the Waterfall model within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), providing a structured framework covering requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance phases. A key feature of the system is the integration of the Time and Material Pricing (T&M) method, enabling dynamic cost calculation based on actual labor hours and material usage. This method ensures fair and transparent pricing, which is vital for sustaining customer confidence in environments with variable service demands. Functional validation through Black Box Testing confirmed that the system’s core modules met all specified requirements without significant errors. Furthermore, a user satisfaction survey involving 30 respondents indicated substantial improvements in cost transparency, service speed, and ease of status tracking. Overall, the system markedly enhances both operational performance and customer experience in small tool maintenance workshops. The findings suggest that this web-based solution supports digital transformation in a traditionally manual sector, promoting competitiveness and sustainability for micro enterprises. Future enhancements include mobile application development and integration of digital payment systems to further optimize service delivery.
