Abstract

The study aimed to determine the effect of the reward and punishment method, teacher readiness, and the use of information and communication technology on student achievement in the Akidah Akhlak subject at Madrasah Aliyah Hidayatul Mubtadiin Jati Agung, South Lampung Regency. The research was quantitative. The population in the study was 235 students with a random sampling technique. The sample used was 235 students. The data collection method used was a questionnaire. The method of data analysis was done by descriptive analysis and path analysis. The study showed that the reward and punishment method positively affected student learning achievement by 19.20%. Second, teacher readiness positively affected student achievement by 26.5%. Third, information and communication technology positively affected student achievement by 29.1%. Fourth, the method of reward and punishment, teacher readiness, and the use of information and communication technology simultaneously positively affected student learning achievement by 36.7%. Thus, teachers were expected to use the reward and punishment method, prepare themselves, and utilize information and communication technology to affect student achievement positively.

Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the effect of motivation, reward and academic supervision on the pedagogic competence of post-certified Islamic Religious Education teachers at Madrasah Tsanawiyah in East Lampung. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. The type of survey used was an explanatory analytic survey using cross-sectional. The population in the study were 176 certified Islamic Religious Education teachers from 90 schools, through simple random sampling to be 17 teachers from 9 schools. Tests and questionnaires did data collection. The data analysis technique was by analyzing data descriptions, testing assumptions/preconditions for linearity tests, and hypothesis tests, namely bivariate analysis and multivariate analysis. The study results indicated that the effect of motivation, reward, and academic supervision was 92.1% on pedagogic competence.

Abstract

A professional teacher not only serves as a teacher, but also as a coach, counselor, facilitators, and managers. In order to perform all these functions, teachers are required to have certain qualifications and competence. One of the competences is competent to apply the various approaches, strategies, methods, and techniques that teach creative learning in subjects taught. This paper attempts to offer an alternative approach that is independently developed by the author and has been tested in its application of PAI learning, which is reflective learning. Reflective learning can help learners improve their understanding and awareness of Islamic values learned through learning activities which involve the process of reflection. Application of reflective learning approach has been proven to improve the success of PAI learning in schools characterized by increased religiosity of students, both in terms of effectiveness, efficiency, and attractiveness.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to find out the characteristics of teacher’s performance, spiritual intelligence, and self-efficacy also to find out the correlation between spiritual intelligence, self-efficacy either individually or collectively, and teacher’s performance at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Fatah. The descriptive and correlation method was used in this study. The population was teachers at MA Al-Fatah. The total number of respondents was 20. The technique for collecting the data was: psychological scale and questionnaire. The quantitative technique was used to analyze the data. The result of the study shows that: 1) most of the teachers (70) were at fair category based on the performance. 2) most of the teachers (65%) were at fair category based on the spiritual intelligence. 3)  most of the teachers (70%) were at fair category based on the self-efficacy. 4) there were a positive and significant correlation between spiritual intelligence and teacher’s performance with contribution of 69.06%. 5) there was no a significant positive and correlation between self-efficacy and teacher’s performance with contribution of 17.72%. 6) there were a positive and significant correlation between spiritual intelligence and self-efficacy individually and collectively with contribution of 69.10%.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the use of ICT by lecturers of Raden Fatah Islamic State Univercity and the factors that influenced it. The research used a quantitative approach with survey method. The research was conducted in May-July 2014. The data was collected using a questionnaire. Respondents were lecturers of UIN Raden Fatah totaling 86 people. Analysisof data usingunivariate, bivariate, andmultivariate techniques. The results showed that: 1) the use of ICT by lecturers of Raden Fatah Islamic State University was still not maximum, 2) the age, sex, level of education, teaching experience, andmotivation of the lecturers does not significantly affect theuse of ICTby lecturers, 3) the rewards factor had given significantly affect the use of ICT by lecturers, and 4) therewards factor hadthe most influence onthe use ofICTby lecturers ofRaden Fatah Islamic State University.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the fact that there were several principals at SMPN Prabumulih, sometimes in certain aspects of leadership they still rely too much on their subordinates, including waiting for ideas from their subordinates. Then, teacher performance is required to plan, implement and assess learning programs and train students during the learning process. This study aims to analyze the influence of the Principal's Leadership Style, Supervision Ability, and Work Climate, on the Performance of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Teachers in Junior High Schools in Prabumulih City. The method used in this study was a quantitative method. This research is a causal-comparative research. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires. Data wasanalyzed by using data normality test, autocorrelation test, linearity test, multicollinearity test and path analysis. From the results of data analysis, the following findings were obtained; 1) There is a positive influence between the principal's leadership style and academic supervision ability; 2) There is a positive influence between the principal's leadership style on the work climate; 3) There is a positive influence between the ability of academic supervision on the work climate; 4) There is a positive influence between the principal's leadership style on teacher performance; 5) There is a positive influence between academic supervision ability on teacher performance and 6) There is a positive influence between work climate on teacher performance.

Abstract

The curriculum has a strategic position and influence in the whole process and outcomes of education. Each program of study required to formulate a minimal learning outcomes description refers KKNI higher education in accordance with the level. This study uses a model curriculum evaluation Countenance. The data were analyzed qualitatively in the form of qualitative narrative analysis of documents and interviews. The results of the study, namely; (A) the coverage of document components in the curriculum, a curriculum document Prodi MPI components do not meet the minimum coverage specified by the Higher Education. (B) the formulation of graduate profiles in curriculum documents Prodi MPI, both on process and outcome, both not fully meet standards. (C) the formulation of learning outcomes in the curriculum document Prodi MPI, both on process and outcome, both not fully meet standards. (D) the distribution of subjects in the curriculum structure Prodi MPI has not fully meet the standards.

Abstract

Analysis of Al-Qur’an on all facts on violence is related to the Qur’anic concept on human being, the concept of “Fitrah” and “behaviour”. Based on the interpretation of the Qur'an, the violence is not stated as a basic human nature as expressed by psychoanalysis, because all humans are born with the condition of “fitrah”. But during its developments, the fitrah is much influenced by the environment so that people do the violence. The factors are as follows: family, film, television including angriness—all make people aggressive and tend to do the violence—are claimed by Islam as something unaccepted. To avoid the harsh, people are asked to control their character and to do their religious obligation; such as praying and fasting.

Abstract

Islamic education is an educational concept that has existed in Indonesia for a long time even before Indonesia's independence. The birth of UU No. 20 of 2003 concerning ‘Sistem Pendidikan Nasional’ is the starting point for the development of Islamic education in Indonesia. This study uses a type of literature study (library research) to analyze Islamic education and UU in UU No. 20 of 2003 concerning ‘Sistem Pendidikan Nasional’. In the UU Sisdiknas No. 20 of 2003, Islamic education has been recognized for its existence in the national education system. This is indicated by the existence of several positions of Islamic education in UU No. 20 of 2003, that is (1) Islamic education as an educational institution both formal, non-formal, and informal that is explicitly recognized; (2) Islamic education as a material or subject of religious education as one of the subjects that must be given at the elementary to tertiary level; (3) Islamic education as the values ​​of Islamic teachings (value), namely when Islamic values ​​are found in the education system. However, in its implementation there are still problems that make the implementation of Islamic education less than optimal. So that in its implementation, the existence of Islamic education in UU No. 20 of 2003 (Sisdiknas) needs to be supported or elaborated in other regulations.

Abstract

Kurikulum merupakan alat yang penting bagi keberhasilan suatu pendidikan. Tanpa kurikulum yang sesuai dan tepat akan sulit untuk mencapai tujuan dan sasaran pendidikan yang diinginkan. Kurikulum adalah sejumlah mata pelajaran yang harus ditempuh atau dipelajari siswa disekolah atau perguruan tinggi untuk memperoleh Ijazah tertentu, sejumlah mata pelajaran yang ditawarkan dalam suatu lembaga pendidikan atau jurusan. Kebijakan Kurikulum 2013 merupakan usaha pemantapan pelaksanaan Sistem Pendidikan Nasional yang salah satu kebijakannya berbunyi untuk penyempurnaan kurikulum pendidikan dasar dan menengah serta pembelajaran. Dasar kebijakan perubahan kurikulum 2013, elemen-elemen perubahan, dan implikasi perubahan kurikulum 2013 dalam sistem pembelajaran. kebijakan perubahan kurikulum 2013 didasarkan pada tantangan internal dan eksternal yang dihadapi oleh bangsa Indonesia dalam rangka menyiapkan generasi yang produktif, kreatif, inovatif dan afektif. Kebijakan kurikulum 2013 dimaksudkan untuk menyempurnakan berbagai kekurangan yang ada pada kurikulum sebelumnya. Kurikulum 2013 disusun dengan mengembangkan dan memperkuat sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan secara berimbang.
