Abstract

This study aims at exploring instructional leadership of elementary school principals in Malang. It employs quantitative approach with descriptive study design aiming at describing phenomena as what they really are at times of study. It means that this study result in systematic, factual and accurate findings describing genuine condition. The objective of using descriptive study design is to describe or elaborate instructional leadership of elementary school principals in Malang. The subjects of study are 80 principals. The findings show that 62 respondents or 77,5% of school principals in Malang are on highly qualified category, 16 respondents or 20% are on qualified category and 2 respondents or 2,5% are on fairly qualified category. None is on less qualified category. Therefore, instructional leadership of elementary school principals in Malang are on quite high level or quite good category.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to find out the role of digital-based leadership in the development of schools in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The Industrial Revolution 4.0 is characterized by rapid technological advances and the penetration of digitalization in various sectors, including education. Digital-based leadership refers to the ability of leaders to utilize digital technology in managing and advancing educational institutions. In this context, school leaders are required to master information and communication technology, implement digital management systems, and create an innovative and responsive learning environment for technological changes. The research method used is a literature study to find out descriptively how digital-based leadership can improve the quality of education in the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0. The results of this study show that digital-based leadership is the key to creating schools that are adaptive and competitive in the digital era.

Abstract

The pre-service teacher professional education program is organized with the support of academic systems, administration, and learning facilities designed to optimally meet the needs of students. This study aims to evaluate the level of student satisfaction with the learning process, academic administration services, and supporting facilities in the implementation of pre-service teacher professional education program. The method used was a quantitative descriptive survey involving 402 respondents. The instrument in the form of an online questionnaire was developed in an internal information system that contained 10 questions and one comment column. Data analysis was carried out in a qualitative and thematic manner. The results showed that the learning aspect obtained a very high level of satisfaction, especially in the ability of lecturers to convey material and guide practice. Administrative services are considered efficient, but students propose improvements in the clarity of schedules and coordination between parties. Learning facilities including classrooms and technology access were considered adequate, although some records suggested technical improvements and the addition of supporting facilities. These findings underline that the quality of learning, service effectiveness, and availability of facilities need to be seen as a complementary unit in supporting the quality of pre-service teacher professional education program implementation. Students' perceptions of these three aspects provide a valuable reflective foundation in the process of evaluating and formulating program management policies in a sustainable manner. This study recommends the development of advanced information systems that are relevant to quality assurance mechanisms in a structured and sustainable manner.

Abstract

Community service activities with the theme of training in developing teaching modules based on the implementation of the "Merdeka" curriculum for elementary school teachers in the Bantur District, Malang Regency. The objectives of this activity are to assist teachers in developing teaching modules based on the implementation of the "Merdeka" curriculum, to assess the performance level of the resource persons, and to assess the performance level of the organizing committee. The community service activities were conducted through several methods including lectures, discussions, Q&A sessions, modeling, demonstrations, Problem-Based Learning (PBL), and assignments. Participants consisted of 103 teachers from grades 2 and 5. Supporting instruments for this community service include pre-test and post-test sheets, and program evaluation questionnaires. The training material covers the implementation of the "Merdeka" curriculum, characteristics of learning in the "Merdeka" curriculum, and the development of assessment instruments for student learning outcomes. The results of this training indicate a 35.7% improvement in teachers' ability to develop teaching modules, 56.31% performance level of the resource persons in assisting participants categorized as good, and 74.76% performance level of the organizing committee categorized as very good.

Abstract

There is a degradation of values ??and morals in the midst of a massive era of change, efforts are needed to fortify students with the civilizing of Pancasila values ??in order to create students with character. The purpose of this activity is to provide new insights and skills for school principals and teachers in cultivating Pancasila values as the basis for the value of strengthening students character in schools through fostering students and structuring school infrastructure. The activity was carried out at the Laboratory Elementary School, Universitas Negeri Malang, Blitar, using a training and mentoring approach. Evaluation of activities using pre-test and post-test instruments were analyzed using a descriptive quantitative technique. As per the findings of the evaluation, it showed an increase in participants' insight and skills in strengthening character education based on Pancasila values, indirectly this training and mentoring activity also had a positive impact on increasing participants' motivation to realize Pancasila-based schools

Abstract

The community service conducted aims to contribute to our partner school, MTs Sunan Kalijogo in Malang City, by providing support for teachers' skills through the utilization of the Learning Management System (LMS) Moodle as a tool for remote learning during the pandemic. The implementation methods include mentoring, training, and workshops. The stages carried out are: (1) preparation, (2) training and workshops, (3) implementation of the results, and (4) evaluation. The results of the community service are as follows: (1) 90% of the participants strongly agree that the use of the Moodle program can assist teachers in conducting online education in the madrasah; (2) 80% of the participants are highly proficient in utilizing the Moodle program for distance learning; and (3) Based on the reflections conducted, participants have gained a strong understanding of using Moodle in the context of online education during the pandemic. This is evident in the high level of interest and enthusiasm displayed by the participants.

Abstract

Instrumen penilaian memiliki peran penting dalam pendidikan kejuruan, khususnya bidang tata boga yang menuntut penguasaan teori dan praktik. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kelayakan instrumen tes tata boga yang digunakan dalam Program Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) bidang kuliner. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan melibatkan 75 peserta PPG. Analisis dilakukan terhadap validitas butir, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, daya beda, serta efektivitas distraktor menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson dan Cronbach’s Alpha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 65% dari 63 butir soal memenuhi kriteria valid dengan nilai validitas berkisar 0,20–0,62, dan reliabilitas instrumen tinggi (α = 0,84). Tingkat kesukaran berada pada kategori mudah–sedang, sedangkan daya beda rata-rata 0,42 menunjukkan kemampuan instrumen dalam membedakan peserta berkemampuan tinggi dan rendah. Sebagian besar distraktor berfungsi baik, meskipun masih ditemukan butir yang memerlukan revisi, terutama pada aspek pengecoh yang tidak bekerja optimal. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa instrumen tes tata boga layak digunakan sebagai alat evaluasi kompetensi guru kejuruan, meskipun penyempurnaan tetap diperlukan untuk meningkatkan ketepatan pengukuran. Temuan ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan instrumen asesmen yang lebih valid dan reliabel dalam pendidikan kejuruan serta menjadi acuan bagi lembaga PPG dalam meningkatkan mutu evaluasi pembelajaran.

Abstract

Cases of bullying, promiscuity and drug abuse are forms of juvenile delinquency that are currently often occurring. These three cases certainly provide long-term risks that can affect students' psychological, physical, and emotional well, even the most extreme risk is pregnancy and transmission of sexually transmitted diseases. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide insight, knowledge, understanding, and increase the capacity of students in the context of the dangers of bullying, promiscuity, and drug abuse. A training approach based on socialization seminars is used in this community service activity. The community service activity was carried out at SMK Widya Dharma Turen involving 328 students in classes X and XI.  This community service activity is carried out through several methods used, including; (1) seminars; (2) presentation of materials; (3) awareness campaigns; (4) role play; (5) discussion; (6) problem-based learning (PBL), and (7) evaluation of pre-post test-based activities. The results of the pre-test and post-test will be analyzed using the t-test (difference test) assisted by the SPSS 24.0 program. The results of the activity showed an increase in student knowledge as seen from the comparison of pre-test and post-test scores. The average pre-test score of 65.76 increased to 73.81 in the post-test, with an improvement difference of 8.05. These findings show that the training provided is effective in increasing students' understanding and awareness of the negative impacts of bullying, promiscuity, and drug abuse. Thus, this service activity makes a positive contribution to prevention efforts.

Abstract

MBKM activities have been carried out by many universities in Indonesia. Through MBKM activities, it is hoped that the quality of students will increase following the experience gained from the programs. This study aims to examine MBKM policies on student quality. This research method was carried out through the Literature Review (SLR) Study with the steps of this SLR research activity using Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) which refers to four steps, namely Identification, Screening, Eligibility, and Included.. The result of this research is that MBKM activities can influence the improvement of student quality such as skills and direct experience to students.

Abstract

Abstract: This community service report discusses improving teacher competence through digital-based supervision, which aims to Objectives The implementation of this community service activity aims to: Improve Teacher Competence, Develop Technical Skills, Encourage Collaboration, Improve Learning Quality, Increase Transparency and Accountability. This activity was carried out by a team of educators from various universities, focusing on the integration of technology in educational supervision. The program includes planning, online seminars, thematic presentations, and interactive sessions, emphasizing the importance of digital tools in teaching supervision. The digital-based supervision method introduced in the program allows for more objective assessment, timely feedback, and continuous professional development for teachers. This initiative succeeded in increasing participants' understanding of digital supervision, technical skills in using digital tools, and promoting collaboration through digital-based lesson study. In addition, the program also highlights the use of technology in internal quality audits to ensure transparency and accountability in education management. Significant results include increased teacher competence in utilizing digital tools for supervision, improved reflective practice, and better collaboration among educators. These results demonstrate the potential of digital-based supervision in supporting continuous improvement in teaching quality and overall educational outcomes. The report concludes with recommendations for ongoing training, mentoring, infrastructure development, inter-school collaboration, periodic evaluations, and supportive policies to maintain and enhance the benefits already achieved through the program. Abstrak: Artikel pengabdian masyarakat ini membahas peningkatan kompetensi guru melalui supervisi berbasis digital, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan Kompetensi Guru, Mengembangkan Keterampilan Teknis, Mendorong Kolaborasi, Meningkatkan Kualitas Pembelajaran, Meningkatkan Transparansi dan Akuntabilitas. Kegiatan ini dilakukan oleh tim pendidik dari berbagai universitas, dengan fokus pada integrasi teknologi dalam supervisi pendidikan. Program ini mencakup perencanaan, seminar online, presentasi tematik, dan sesi interaktif, yang menekankan pentingnya alat digital dalam supervisi pengajaran. Metode supervisi berbasis digital yang diperkenalkan dalam program ini memungkinkan penilaian yang lebih objektif, umpan balik yang tepat waktu, dan pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan bagi guru. Inisiatif ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman peserta tentang supervisi digital, keterampilan teknis dalam menggunakan alat digital, serta mempromosikan kolaborasi melalui lesson study berbasis digital. Selain itu, program ini juga menyoroti penggunaan teknologi dalam audit mutu internal untuk memastikan transparansi dan akuntabilitas dalam manajemen pendidikan. Hasil yang signifikan meliputi peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam memanfaatkan alat digital untuk supervisi, peningkatan praktik reflektif, dan kerjasama yang lebih baik antar pendidik. Hasil ini menunjukkan potensi supervisi berbasis digital dalam mendukung perbaikan berkelanjutan dalam kualitas pengajaran dan hasil pendidikan secara keseluruhan. Laporan ini menyimpulkan dengan rekomendasi untuk pelatihan berkelanjutan, pendampingan, pengembangan infrastruktur, kolaborasi antar sekolah, evaluasi berkala, dan kebijakan yang mendukung untuk mempertahankan dan meningkatkan manfaat yang telah dicapai melalui program ini.
