Abstract

Internet of things adalah representasi barang nyata yang memiliki kemampuan untuk berinteraksi dan berkomunikasi pada internet maupun dengan satu sama lain. Pada bagian pertanian Internet of things dapat digunakan untuk pengumpulan data secara berlangsung menggunakan sensor sensor dan perangkat keras bersifat kecil. Data tersebut akan digunakan untuk proses knowledge processing yang hasil dari akuisis data gateway. Kekurangan gateway statis adalah infrastruktur di area yang sangat luas memerlukan kapital yang sangat besar, karena knowledge processing memerlukan sumber data yang luas dan unik, maka diperlukan infrastruktur yang dapat mengakomodasi keperluan tersebut. Dengan mengganti sifat gateway secara portable maka akan mengurangi harga infrastruktur dan fleksibilitas area yang dicakup. gateway mobile berperan sebagai perangkat yang mengakusisi data secara portabel, Perangkat mobile dapat memiliki aplikasi yang menarik dan agregasi data dari protokol komunikasi yang digunakan sensor, Kemudian data tersebut akan diteruskan ke Cloud untuk knowledge processing. Protokol komunikasi yang digunakan untuk komunikasi kepada sensor adalah. Bluetooth Low Energy digunakan sebagai protokol komunikasi karena sifatnya yang mudah diakses dan konsumsi energi yang kecil, ideal dengan akuisisi portable data Internet of things

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran jaringan komputer sering kali tidak cukup hanya melalui penyampaian materi dan memerlukan praktik, tetapi praktik dengan perangkat sebenarnya memerlukan biaya yang besar. Sebagai solusi masalah tersebut dapat digunakan laboratorium dengan perangkat virtual yang memanfaatkan emulasi jaringan. Salah satu pendekatan emulasi jaringan adalah mininet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pengembangan platform laboratorium virtual untuk perkuliahan jaringan komputer dengan menggunakan mininet tersebut sebagai basisnya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan langkah-langkah tahapan pengembangan yaitu perancangan platform, implementasi platform, pengujian platform, dan evaluasi platform. Evaluasi platform dilakukan dengan cara perbandingan dengan platform routing_lab yang menggunakan pendekatan berbasis docker. Dari penelitian ini berhasil diperoleh sebuah platform berbasis mininet yang dapat digunakan untuk melakukan praktik percobaan routing dan dapat digunakan untuk skenario praktik di mana terdapat seorang asisten praktikum dan beberapa praktikan. Platform berbasis mininet ditemukan memiliki kecepatan mulai serta penggunaan sumber daya komputasi lebih rendah jika dibandingkan dengan platform berbasis docker. Platform berbasis mininet hanya membutuhkan rata-rata waktu pembuatan platform sebesar 3.85 detik ketika membangun topologi jaringan yang telah terkonfigurasi penuh, sedangkan platform berbasis docker membutuhkan waktu 14.54 detik. Dalam kondisi yang sama pula, platform berbasis mininet memiliki rata-rata penggunaan sumber daya memori, dan puncak penggunaan CPU ketika mulai berturut-turut adalah sebesar 528.3 MiB dan 28.06% sedangkan pada platform berbasis docker diperoleh hasil penggunaan memori 653.4MiB dan penggunaan CPU 99.276%.

Abstract

This study focuses on the design and development of programmable frequency generator using embedded devices that are able to produce square wave signals in the wireless power transfer (WPT) transmitter. We validate the accuracy of the output signal by measuring distance error. We validate that our system can change and sweep the frequency and produce high power by measuring the absorbed power in the load. We conduct the frequency sweep analysis to find optimal frequency and the frequency splitting phenomenon. The experiments show that the system can produce and sweep the square wave signals with less than 1% error. We also find that the frequency splitting occurred when distance among two coils in the range 0.5-6.5 cm and the splitting disappeared when the distance is above 7.5 cm. The frequency splitting shows that the measured optimum frequency differs from the calculation. The difference confirms that the programmable frequency generator is needed to adjust the frequency that can transfer maximum power to the load.

Abstract

Surabaya is the capital city of East Java Province, Indonesia, and the largest metropolitan city in the province. Surabaya is the largest city in Indonesia after Jakarta. With its large area and a fairly dense population, the city of Surabaya has a variety of culinary to offer. This culinary diversity attracts responses and opinions from the public (both positive and negative). People have certain ways to express their opinions, including through social media. Opinions shared by the Indonesians about Surabaya’s culinary in social media provide the right step to know what people think about the culinary places in Surabaya. But these opinions are very diverse because social media does not decide what people will say. We need opinion analysis to gain uses information from those opinions. In this research, we offered a new approach in analyzing the opinion on the culinary places in Surabaya using temporal analysis based opinion mining. The source is the opinions expressed in Foursquare using Indonesian. The rate of the accuracy is still around 67.32%, because other than Indonesian as the formal language used in the express opinions, social media users there also use many local dialects and slangs.

Abstract

Pengelolaan perangkat terdistribusi, seperti IoT gateway yang tersebar di lingkungan lokal dan remote, memerlukan manajemen efisien, terintegrasi, dan adaptif. Kubernetes menawarkan orkestrasi terpusat untuk aplikasi dan layanan pada klaster IoT gateway, termasuk inferensi machine learning di lokasi untuk mengurangi latensi. Namun, Kubernetes memiliki keterbatasan ketika klaster mencakup perangkat di berbagai jaringan, sehingga diperlukan integrasi yang mempertahankan kinerja dan mempermudah administrasi. Penelitian ini mengintegrasikan konektivitas antar IoT gateway menggunakan VPN dengan NAT traversal, untuk mendukung pengelolaan terpusat pada klaster terdistribusi di lingkungan lokal dan remote. Solusi yang dikembangkan mencakup modul konektivitas terdistribusi, manajemen terpusat, serta fault tolerance. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pengujian fungsional dan performa pada klaster IoT gateway. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan klaster IoT gateway terdistribusi berhasil memenuhi kebutuhan fungsional. Sistem mampu mengelola perangkat secara terpusat, mendukung komunikasi dua arah antar IoT gateway dengan latensi stabil di bawah 1 ms dalam jaringan dan 190 ms antar jaringan, serta menjalankan mekanisme failover dengan downtime 5 detik. Pada pengujian performa, pemrosesan inferensi secara terdistribusi menunjukkan latensi jauh lebih rendah (<0.1 detik) dibandingkan inferensi terpusat yang mencapai lebih dari 10 detik. Namun, throughput antar jaringan dibatasi hingga <20 Mb/s akibat penggunaan relay VPN, dan waktu deployment aplikasi pada jaringan remote mengalami variasi besar (60–800 detik) tergantung pada kondisi jaringan, terutama bandwidth.

Abstract

Abstract. Internet becomes critical infrastructure in the distribution of information. The information is used for decision making and ensure the success of human activities. However, the distribution of information in rural Indonesia is inconvenient, because the digital communication infrastructure (internet) doesn’t cover all areas in Indonesia. This problem causes the digital divide in Indonesia. This study proposes communications infrastructure and data transfer mechanism or media sharing that can be applied to a variety of rural areas conditions in Indonesia, which has limited communications infrastructure. The approach is to build low power digital carrier devices in the form of minicomputer and utilize Delay or Disruptions Tolerant Network (DTN) architecture. Testing results in the digital carrier node show that the data is successfully delivered. Keywords: Rural Area, Mini-PC, Delay Tolerant Network

Abstract

Proportional tuition fees assessment is an optimization process to find a compromise point between student willingness to pay and institution income. Using a genetic algorithm to find optimal solutions requires effective chromosome representations, parameters, and operator genetic to obtain efficient search. This paper proposes a new chromosome representation and also finding efficient genetic parameters to solve the proportional tuition fees assessment problem. The results of applying the new chromosome representation are compared with another chromosome representation in the previous study. The evaluations show that the proposed chromosome representation obtains better results than the other in both execution time required and the quality of the solutions.

Abstract

Abstract. The number of visitors and content accessed by users on a site shows the performance of the site. Therefore, forecasting needs to be done to find out how many users a website will come. This study applies the Long Short Term Memory method which is a development of the Recurrent Neural Network method. Long Short Term Memory has the advantage that there is an architecture of remembering and forgetting the output to be processed back into the input. In addition, the ability of another Long Short Term Memory is to be able to maintain errors that occur when doing backpropagation so that it does not allow errors to increase. The comparison method used in this study is Backpropagation. Neural Network method that is often used in various fields. The testing using new visitor data and first time visitors from 2018 to 2019 with vulnerable time per month. The computational experiment prove that the Long Short Term Memory produces better result in term of the mean square error (MSE) comparable to those achieved by Backpropagation Neural Network method.

Abstract

IoT devices are constrained in computation and storage, therefore cannot store all long-term obtained data or perform complex computations. Shifting those jobs to cloud platform are feasible, yet rising heterogeneity and security issues. This study proposes an IoT cloud platform to facilitate communication among heterogeneous devices and the cloud while ensuring devices’ validity. It uses publish/subscribe paradigm with an end-to-cloud architecture and HTTP-based auth server. The proposed system has successfully addressed heterogeneity and security issues. Performance tests conclude that the fewer publishers publish data simultaneously, the smaller the delay. Moreover, the system performs better at up to 250 publishers as the average delay is under 1000 ms, compared to 500 publishers that has average delay above 1000 ms. On its scalability, in 250-concurrent-publishers experiment, the system affords 191 publishers responded in under one second with 100% success rate. In 500-concurrent-publishers one, 187 responded in under one second with 99% rate.
