Abstract

Many research has been done on professional madrasa (Islamic school) teachers, but incorporating Islamic values and motivation for continuous professional development into them has been neglected. This study aims to determine Islamic professional madrasa teachers based on motivation for continuous professional development in the teaching for future profession. This study used a phenomenological research design, and involving 16 aliyah madrasa teachers as informans. Data was collected by conducting interviews with madrasa teachers and analyzed using a systematic design. This research shows that Islamic professional madrasa teachers are related to prophetic abilities based on Islamic values, moral, and related to human functions as khalifah (leader), imarat al-ard (manage the world), and ‘abdullah (servant who worships Allah). Madrasa teachers view the motivation for future professional involvement in professional Islamic teachers as involvement in self-development through continuous learning, trying to be the best in every activity and fighting endlessly in educating students, anyone who has sincere intentions and has the desire for continuous learning and self-development both academically and non-academicly, training or workshops and also seminars and includes involvement in various forums for future professional development. Teaching is an inseparable part of getting blessings from God (Allah SWT). Utilizing technology to develop learning materials, learning methods, learning evaluation, and others that support the competency of madrasa teachers. Self-improvement has role models that are emulated and practiced in learning.

Abstract

Dalam kajian ini penulis mencoba mengangkat supervisi kepegawaian (ketenagaan) pendidikan. Yang menjadi fokus masalah bagi penulis ialah supervise, tenaga kependidkan, dan kinerja. Selanjutnya dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Pendekatan ini lebih dideskripsikan dan diklasifikasikan sesuai dengan kondisi penelitian. Selain itu penulis juga menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kepustakaan atau library research. Dari hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa: kegiatan supervisi tenaga kependidikan dapat meningkatkan kinerja tenaga pendidikan serta meningkatkan profesioanalitas tenaga kependidikan. Supervisi dilaksanakan selain kegiatan penilaian kinerja juga merupakan kegiatan pembinaan dan pendampingan yang dilakukan kepala sekolah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa supervisi kepegawaian (ketenagaan) pendidikan merupakan sebuah proses dalam mengoptimalkan kinerja pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan yang ada di lembaga sekolah.

Abstract

Dalam kajian ini penulis mencoba mengangkat supervisi pendidikan. Yang menjadi fokus masalah bagi penulis ialah supervisi, prinsip supervisi, dan teknik-teknik supervisi. Selanjutnya dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Pendekatan ini lebih dideskripsikan dan diklasifikasikan sesuai dengan kondisi penelitian. Selain itu penulis juga menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kepustakaan atau library research. Supervisor pendidikan (kepala sekolah dan pengawas) harus memiliki kemampuan profesional yang handal dalam pelaksanaan supervisi pembelajaran (instructional supervision), kemampuan profesional pengawas diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembinaan guru di sekolah. Masalah peningkatan kualitas pembinaan guru di sekolah pada hakikatnya berkaitan dengan peranan supervisor dalam memberikan bantuan dan pelayanan profesional bagi guru-guru agar mereka lebih mampu melaksanakan tugas pokoknya. Kualitas kinerja supervisor sekolah perlu dilandasi dengan peningkatan kemampuan supervisi kepala sekolah dalam melaksanakan kewajibannya secara bertanggungjawab. Supervisi tidak berhenti pada selesainya pemberian bantuan dan terlaksananya teknik supervisi melainkan harus ada follow up untuk melihat keberhasilan proses dan hasil pelaksanaan supervisi.

Abstract

Various studies illustrate that pedagogical competence is studied more psychologically in the learning process but has not revealed the strengthening of project-based learning in madrasa teacher learning. This study analyze whether increasing the use of project-based learning (PBL) by madrasah edago teachers in Indonesia improves the pedagogic competence of madrasah teachers in learning. This type of research is experimental and uses a quasi-experimental method. The instrument used to collect data is a questionnaire. The technique used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative analysis, quantitative and statistical inferential. The subjects of this study are teachers from these madrasas who teach one of the four core subjects of Islamic religious education in total of 139 teachers. The result of the study is that the pedagogic competence of madrasah teachers is only considered a determinant of the teaching practice of Islamic religious education. However, we found that the pedagogic competence of madrasah teachers can be positively influenced by the increased use of PBL in learning. Among the madrasah teacher pedagogic competence subscales, PBL positively relates to student engagement and teaching and learning. Analysis using student data shows that students’ positive responses to Islamic religious education learning practices can mediate the relationship between PBL and the pedagogic competence of madrasa teachers. This research has implications for developing the PBL model in improving the pedagogic competence of madrasa teachers in learning Islamic religious education.

Abstract

While much research has explored the development of Islamic higher education, the contributions of Malay figures remain underexamined. This study investigates the development strategies of Islamic higher education through the perspective of Zaini Kunin, a prominent Malay scholar. This study a historical approach, the research involved interviews, literature analysis, and focus group discussions, analyzed through thematic identification, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The findings highlight Zaini Kunin’s method, which includes: (1) constructing an Islamic scientific framework based on Surah Al-Qashash [28]:77 across four domains—religious sciences, natural and social sciences, social ethics, and environmental sciences; (2) affirming tauhidullah (the creed of Oneness of God) as the ultimate goal; (3) embedding Islamic values in the curriculum; (4) developing sincere and committed human resources; (5) promoting social piety; and (6) fostering national and international collaboration. In conclusion, Zaini Kunin’s method for developing Islamic higher education is rooted in the foundational philosophy of Islam, as drawn from its core teachings.

Abstract

Much research has been done on continuous professional development (CPD) madrasa (Islamic school) teachers, but incorporating motivation of engagement in future professions into them needs to be addressed. This study aims to determine CPD madrasa teachers based on the motivation to engage future professionals in teaching. This research used a phenomenological design involving 16 madrasa Aliyah teachers as informants. Data was collected by interviews with madrasa teachers and analyzed using a systematic design. This research shows that CPD madrasa teachers are related to organizing teaching and learning activities to improve teachers' abilities and competencies in carrying out professional duties and performing as educators. CPD should include skills using digital technology, ethics, and professional values, applying sharia principles, makarim sharia, and integrity in educating students. Madrasa teachers’ view of motivation for engagement in a future profession in CPD refers to the drive that teachers professionals have to continue to be committed to their profession and develop with the changes and demands of the times. The motivation for madrasa teachers’ future professional involvement and sustainable professional development is mutually reinforcing. Motivation becomes a driving force for madrasa teachers to engage in CPD, while CPD renews and strengthens madrasa teachers’ motivation by providing the skills and knowledge necessary to adapt to future challenges. In this way, motivation and CPD together support better quality education, increase job satisfaction for madrasa teachers, and ensure that teachers remain relevant and competent in facing developments in the world of education.

Abstract

This study was motivated by children's low interest in reading storybooks available at school. Although the books presented are interesting and good, they do not offer many bilingual storybooks to introduce local culture. This study aims to describe the readability level of bilingual children's storybooks by involving teachers and students to encourage their interest in reading. This study uses a descriptive-quantitative method. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation. The sample used consisted of 65 respondents, comprising 40 teachers and 25 students. The results of this study indicate that the readability level of bilingual children's storybooks from the teachers' perspective can be described in four aspects: the readability of bilingual storybooks in terms of material (80.34%); presentation (80.87%); graphics (77.79%); and language (72.87%). Overall, the readability level of storybooks from the perception of B-2 level students was in the Very Good category. This means that the readability level of storybooks is easy for students to understand. Based on the findings of this study, the readability level of bilingual storybooks is suitable for use by students to learn about the regional languages of various ethnic groups, thereby developing students' literacy skills through a love of reading storybooks.

Abstract

Kecerdasan emosional merupakan salah satu kecerdasan yang sangat mempengaruhi perkembangan kehidupan anak, karena 80% kesuksesan kehidupan sangat ditentukan oleh kecerdasan emosional. Memberikan pendidikan kepada anak sejak dini merupakan hal yang sangat penting dan sangat dianjurkan karena sejak anak dilahirkan hingga tahun-tahun pertama, anak akan mengalami pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang pesat. Perkembangan anak pada tahun-tahun awal lebih kritis dibandingkan dengan perkembangan selanjutnya, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa masa kanak-kanak merupakan gambaran awal manusia sebagai manusia seutuhnya. Peran orang tua dalam perkembangan emosional anak sangat dibutuhkan, karena orang tualah yang dapat mendampingi dan mengembangkan kecerdasan anak semaksimal mungkin. Perkembangan anak khususnya perkembangan emosionalnya tercapai dengan baik dan sempurna. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Peran Orang Tua Dalam Mengembangkan Kecerdasan Emosional Anak di Desa Petonggan Kecamatan Rakit Kulim Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh orang tua yang mempunyai anak usia 7-14 tahun yang berjumlah 122 kepala keluarga. Karena besarnya jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini, maka penulis mengambil 50% dari jumlah populasi yaitu sebanyak 61 kepala keluarga. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif yaitu dengan menggambarkan data yang berwujud angka-angka hasil perhitungan dan pengukuran dapat diproses dengan cara dijumlahkan. Dari hasil penelitian ini, dapat diketahui bahwa Peran Orang Tua dalam mengembangkan kecerdasan emosional anak di Desa Petonggan Kecamatan Rakit Kulim Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu pada taraf “76,04%” yaitu berada pada rentang 61%-80% dikategorikan “Baik”.

Abstract

Melacak isu-isu penting awal kemunduran pendidikan Islam di masa lampau dapat dilihat pada fakta sejarah peradaban Islam, di mana terdapat dua corak pemikiran yang selalu memengaruhi cara berpikir umat Islam. Pertama, pemikiran tradisionalis (orthodox) yang berciri sufistik, dan kedua, pemikiran rasionalis yang berciri liberal, terbuka, inovatif, dan konstruktif. Kedua corak inilah yang kelihatannya pada saat-saat kejayaan Islam berlangsung bersatu padu, dan saling mengisi satu sama lain. Masyarakat tidak mau lagi membedakan gagasan dan pemikiran mana yang mereka harus pelajari. Namun yang jelas, baik ilmu agama yang bersumber dari wahyu maupun ilmu pengetahuan yang bersumber dari pemikiran rasional, mereka pelajari secara seksama tanpa mendikotomikannya. Kedua corak pemikiran ini, tampak dijadikan sebagai sarana untuk menggali berbagai ilmu pengetahuan, baik pengetahuan agama maupun umum hingga sampailah pada kejayaan atau keemasan Islam.

Abstract

Dalam proses belajar mengajar, guru berperan penting dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Untuk menghasilkan pendidikan yang efektif dan efisien, diperlukan metode mengajar yang sesuai. Penerapan suatu metode dalam pengajaran harus ditinjau dari segi keefektifan, keefesienan dan kecocokannya dengan karakteristik materi pelajaran serta keadaan peserta didik yang meliputi kemampuan, kecepatan belajar, minat, waktu yang dimiliki dan keadaan sosial ekonomi peserta didik. Selain itu, pembelajaran dengan metode mengajar yang sesuai dengan materi yang diajarkan dipercaya meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik. Metode resitasi merupakan metode dimana guru memberikan tugas tertentu agar peserta didik melakukan kegiatan belajar. Dalam pembelajaran PAI (pendidikan agama islam), proses belajar peserta didik secara maksimal dapat di hasilkan melalui metode resitasi yang mana metode ini dapat dilaksanan baik di dalam maupun di luar kelas dan selama itu berada dalam lingkungan sekolah. Alasan penggunaan metode resitasi dalam pelajaran PAI adalah karena bahan pelajaran yang ada dirasakan terlalu banyak, sementara waktu yang tersedia hany sedikit. Artinya, banyaknya bahan yang tersedia dengan waktu kurang seimbang. Dengan demikian, agar bahan pelajaran selesai sesuai batas waktu yang di tentukan, maka metode resitasi inilah salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan oleh para guru PAI untuk.
