Abstract

Studies on professional madrasah teachers have been widely explored, but its development from the religious aspect is still limited, while professional teachers are needed in the development of quality madrasah education. This research focused on developing professional teacher of Madrasah Aliyah by strengthening Islamic behavior and Islamic psychosocial. Using ex post facto research design and involving 397 Madrasah Aliyah teachers in 12 regencies/cities of Riau Province, Indonesia. A questionnaires were made to measure Islamic behavior and Islamic psychosocial and tests to measure professional madrasah teachers. The data were analyzed using inferential statistics. The findings of this research revealed that mastery of Islamic behavior and Islamic psychosocial contributes to developing professional madrasah teachers in carrying out teaching profession. Islamic behavior and Islamic psychosocial, specifically, is predicted to improve professional madrasah teachers. However, Islamic behavior has a higher contribution than Islamic psychosocial. This study concludes that professional madrasah teachers can be developed significantly by strengthening Islamic behavior and Islamic psychosocial in madrasah teachers. This research contributes to the Director General of Islamic Education of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia in taking the policy to develop professional madrasah teachers in Indonesia and design lecture materials for prospective madrasah teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the efforts of madrasah teachers to internalize Islamic values in developing students' actual morals. Using case study research by conducting in-depth interviews with 8 madrasah tsanawiyah teachers and analyzing them with data cleaning, transcripts, coding and categorization, and interpretation. This research resulted in: First, duha sunnah and fardhu prayer in congregation, and get used to respect the teacher, to manage the syahwiya power of students, resulting in "iffah" which gave birth to the morals of jud, syakha', qana'ah, amanah, zuhud, rahmah, hilm, and al-afwu. Second, get used to dzikrullah, and accustom shiyam sunnah, to curb the hammiya power of students, resulting syaja'ah, ‘adalah, ihsan, insyaf, rahmah, and hilm. Third, get used to muhadharah activities, and Islamic integrative learning, to educate students' powers of mufakkara, thus giving birth to wisdom and fathanah behavior. It can be concluded that the internalization of Islamic values in developing students' actual morals is duha sunnah and fardhu prayer in congregation, get used to respect the teacher, get used to dzikrullah, accustom shiyam sunnah, muhadharah activity, and Islamic integrative learning, to curb the spiritual power of shahwiya, manage power of hammiya, and educating students powers of mufakkara, thus giving birth to the behavior of' iffah, jud, syakha', qana'ah, amanah, zuhud, rahmah, hilm, al-afwu, syaja'ah, 'adalah, ihsan, insyaf, mujahadah, sabr, wisdom, and fathanah. The results of this study have implications for the theory of "Islamic moral development" which can be applied to all madrasah education in Indonesia and the Islamic world.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan menulis akademik mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam Universitas Islam Riau. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh metode inkuiri terhadap keterampilan menulis akademik mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam Universitas Islam Riau. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasi. Penelitian ini melibatkan 371 sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan teknik analisis data menggunakan one way anova (uji anova satu jalur). Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan keterampilan menulis akademik mahasiswa berdasarkan jenjang kelas dan pekerjaan orang tua. Penelitian ini berimplikasi pada teori keterampilan menulis akademik di Perguruan Tinggi Islam. Kata Kunci: Metode Inkuiri, Keterampilan Menulis Akademik, dan Mahasiswa

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsep dan aplikasi metode ceramah dalam pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam. Kajian terhadap persoalan ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan karakter yang bersumber pada ajaran Islam yaitu al-Qur’an dan al-Hadits. Metode ceramah dalam pembelajaran PAI adalah cara guru menyampaikan materi pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam dengan penuturan lisan secara langsung kepada peserta didik di depan kelas disertai penggunaan media untuk mencapai kompetensi dan indikator pembelajaran yang telah ditetapkan agar peserta didik dapat memiliki pemahaman dan menerapkannya dalam kehidupan sesuai dengan ajaran Islam. Dasar metode ceramah digali dari QS. Al-Furqan, 25: 63, yang menegaskan adanya penggunaan metode ceramah secara intensif dan menyenangkan. Setiap metode harus memiliki langkah-langkah ril yang dapat dipergunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode ceramah memiliki enam langkah yang kesemuanya saling terintegrasi yang teraplikasi dalam proses pembelajaran.Kata Kunci: pendidikan agama Islam, metode ceramah.

Abstract

Research on Malay culture has been carried out a lot, but seeing it in its application in the madrasah Tsanawiyah curriculum has not yet been found. This study aims to determine the implementation of Malay culture as a vision of Riau 2020 in the 'Madrasah Tsanawiyah' educational curriculum in Riau Province. This research is a descriptive study that describes the implementation of the Riau Malay culture in the educational curriculum in all Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Riau Province. This research was conducted at Madrasah Tsanawiyah in 12 districts/cities in Riau Province, involving 24 heads of Madrasah Tsanawiyah. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire and the data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that 39% of the Riau Malay culture in the Madrasah Tsanawiyah education curriculum in Riau Province was accommodated and implemented in the curriculum. The application of Malay culture is very urgent to be disseminated in the Madrasah Tsanawiyah curriculum in Riau Province, by the Education Office and the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Riau Province to develop this local wisdom in the community.

Abstract

Discussion method are increasingly popular in the learning, but in terms of its accuracy, mixed results are reported without clear reasons. This research aims to explore the impact of gender and teaching duration on discussion method accuracy in Islamic higher education. To evaluate the accuracy of the use of the discussion method, lecturer's teaching duration and gender, a quantitative study with a correlation approach was used. A research project, which deals with the use of discussion methods in lectures using questionnaires, was carried out in two faculties at two universities. Data were collected from 175 lecturers involved in this research. The analysis is differentiated based on the gender and level of teaching duration of lecturers in the competencies being assessed. The results show that the accuracy of the use of the discussion method is low and is related to the gender of the lecturer, that males perceive themselves to be higher in the use of the discussion method than females, and that even using method analysis with methods and implementation in the classroom. Lecturers who teach more than 30 years tend to have higher accuracy in using the discussion method than those with lesser tenure. The findings of this study have implications for the development of "the use of discussion methods in higher education" and it is necessary to examine the reasons behind this difference and to look for steps to improve the accuracy of the use of the discussion method.

Abstract

Developing professional madrasah teachers are increasingly popular in the teaching classrooms. But regarding developing professional madrasah teacher accuracy in teaching, mixed results are reported without clear reasons for this. This article addresses the impact of gender and length of certification on developing professional madrasah teacher accuracy in teaching classrooms. To develop the accuracy of the developing professional madrasah teacher, madrasah teacher length of certification and gender are used as a reference. A research project, which deals with the developing professional teacher in madrasah teachers using questionnaires, was carried out in two types of Madrasah Aliyah (public and private madrasah) at seventy-five madrasahs. Data from 325 madrasah teachers were collected and involved in this research. This analysis is differentiated based on the level, gender, and level of the length of certification of madrasah teachers in the developing professional teacher competencies being assessed. The results show that the accuracy of the developing professional teacher is low and is related to the gender of the madrasah teacher, that men perceive themselves to be higher in the developing professional teacher than women, and that even length of certification analysis with developing professional competence and implementation in the classroom. Madrasah teacher length certification more than 10 years are higher than teachers who certified between 5-10 years and more accurate than teachers who certified less than 5 years with the ability to developing professional madrasah teacher that is low. It is necessary to examine the reasons behind this difference and to look for steps to improve the accuracy of the developing professional madrasah teacher.

Abstract

The development of students' academic achievement in the field of Indonesian language is very urgent and for that a writing assessment is needed. The aims of this study is to analyses the involvement of faith and the identity attribution of Indonesian language teachers in developing writing assessments in madrasah. This study uses a phenomenological approach. This study are involving twenty Indonesian teachers in madrasah and conducting in-depth interviews to reveal the narrative of teachers' practices in developing writing assessments. The collected data using first experiences with informants and their reactions to those experiences, a semi-structured interview schedule was used. This study uses thematic analysis to examine the holistic meaning of phenomena through the description of subjective perceptions. The result of study shows involvement of personal morality and religiosity, attribution of identity when assessing, plays a role in the development of writing assessments in Indonesian language and literature in madrasah. The application of faith principles is the main link in the development of writing assessments, in addition to attribution of the identity of God-given personality to the assessment of writing Indonesian language and literature. The identity and writing assessment abilities of Indonesian language teachers develop with various variants, and students' skills and mastery of material also develop in improving literacy, as well as their academic achievements. In conclusion, the results of this exploratory study show that faith and personal identity attribution can develop writing assessments in the Indonesian language field.

Abstract

Indonesia is facing the digitalization era. It is making it possible to see opportunities for digitalization trends in the social, religious, and humanities. Not many are aware of this aspect which also influences the development and changes that occur in social, religious, and national life. From year to year, aspects of technology and humanities social interactions have increasingly important influences. This research is based on data, qualitative research approaches, and methods supported by digital or internet documentation sources. The essence of this research discussion is about how the social digitization trend of religion and humanities, especially in the discourse of religious moderation, Pancasila, and civic education. What is the impact of digitalization on the behavior of the community (netizens) in supporting the creation of good life order? Found several facts that cannot underestimate digital trends in the social humanities field. His contribution is extraordinary in influencing the behavior and knowledge of the people in Indonesia. Its impact is also felt in social innovation, humanities, and civic education today and in the future.

Abstract

Developing students' scientific thinking in aqeedah and akhlaq (moral theology) is urgent, and a project-based learning method is needed for that process. This study explores how teachers can experience their Islamic behavior with their identities and impact project-based learning methods in learning moral theology in madrasah aliyah (Islamic high schools). This study uses a phenomenological approach to explore the Islamic behavior and identity of teachers in madrasah aliyah in developing project-based learning methods. A total of 20  moral theology teachers are involved in this study, and in-depth interviews are conducted to uncover the narratives of teachers' practices in utilizing project-based learning methods. The thematic analysis of two-group interviews with 20 teachers showed that Islamic behavior teachers' personal beliefs provided a religiously motivated narrative framework that facilitated interpreting one's experiences. Islamic behavior and teacher identity play a role in developing project-based learning methods based on moral theology. Islamic behavior is the main bond in developing project-based learning methods and the attribution of identity from God-given personality to learning in moral theology. Teacher identity, Islamic behavior, and students' scientific thinking develop when learning moral theology. Islamic behavior and the personal identity of madrasah teachers can improve project-based learning methods
