Abstract

The study summarized current studies on student motivation and satisfaction and identify research gaps for proposing studies for the next study. A total of 50 academic research papers on satisfaction and motivation during COVID-19 pandemic learning were published during pandemic era December 2019 to December 2020. There were 45,935 participants on the study with 357 elementary students, 478 middle-high students, 42,151 college students and 2,949 teachers. An important result of this study is a significant change in motivation and satisfaction. From the review, this paper updates a new database, with a wide range of student satisfaction and motivation through online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially to improve student satisfaction and motivation for a successful learning process. Suggests that it can be considered an effective learning method. This study is beneficial for education experts, lecturers, teachers, trainers, and technologists who are interested in assessment, learning, guidance, design, and online-based learning environments during a pandemic or after a pandemic to increase motivation and satisfaction in learning.

Abstract

This developmental research had developed two applicablecurious note programs (CNPs) worksheets for quantifyingstudent performances in designing experiment on newton law’s of gravity. This study involved fourdevelopmental proceduresof Thiagarajan’s 4-D model. The CNPs worksheet was pilot tested in 3 groups of students at Yogyakarta’s public school. It included 22 students for the pilot group and 60 students for the implement group.  Our initial step of this developmental project had designed applicable CNPs worksheet based on acceptable CVI values, reliable measured results, and positivefeedbacks from the user in both worksheets. Using this instrument, this study had revealed some interesting findings that our participants still discovered some difficulties in performing this kind of scientific abilities. Meanwhile, this study has recommended CNPs worksheet for the physics education communities as a convincing tool for measuring students’ ability in designing physical experiment.

Abstract

This research aims to describe students learning activities through the implementation of students worksheets based on POE. This study was descriptive qualitative research. The research was conducted in one of the Islamic Senior High School in Bantul, Yogyakarta on Circular Motion material. The research subject was determined through random sampling. The number of subjects in this research consisted of 26 students in the first year. Data were collected using an observation sheet in 3 meetings observed by two persons and the interview. The results of the analysis obtained are expressed in terms of percentages and then interpreted in the form of scientific narratives. Data analysis results show that the students’ worksheet based on POE can be used to enhance students’ learning activities, especially in visual activities, oral activities, writing activities, motor activities, and mental activities with the most dominant activities is writing activities, and the weakest one is oral activities. Students feel that using students’ worksheets based on predict-observe-explain makes them involved directly in the demonstration or the practicum, can create their curiosity, make they even more seriously in the study, increase the interest in studying physics and help each other with their friends. But, the students’ confidence and speaking ability must be the concern, so students are not reluctant to share their idea in front of the class.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah berkembangnya life skill mahasiswa, berkembangnya strategi kegiatan belajar mengajar (KBM), serta berkembangnya cara pengorganisasian kelas dengan optimalisasi penggunaan atomic physics equipment sebagai media pembelajaran untuk peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran Fisika Atom. Penelitian ini penelitian tindakan kelas. Instrument penelitian adalah handout, lembar kerja mahasiswa, lembar observasi, performance based evaluation sheet, kuisioner, dan tes. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Fisika FMIPA UNY. Data penelitian berupa tingkatan academic skills, pemahaman konsep Fisika Atom dan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan piranti eksperimen. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif untuk menggambarkan proses dan produk pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa optimalisasi penggunaan atomic physics equipment dalam pembelajaran Fisika Atom dapat menumbuhkan academic skills mahasiswa. Peningkatan academic skills mahasiswa dari siklus 1 s/d siklus 3 secara berturut-turut 63,12%, 72,50%, dan 81,88%. Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa dan Performance Based Evaluation mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep Fisika Atom mahasiswa dari siklus 1, 2, dan 3 secara berturut-turut 61,50%, 77,00%, dan 81,50%. Model pembelajaran yang terpadu antara eksperimen, diskusi kelompok, dan handout mampu meningkatkan life skills, keterampilan, dan pemahaman mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Fisika Atom. Peningkatan tingkat keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan piranti laboratorium dari siklus 1 s/d siklus 3 secara berturut-turut adalah 52%, 74%, dan 90%.Kata kunci: optimalisasi, atomic physics equipment, dan life skills

Abstract

The aim of this research were: 1) to determinate mercury disposition in water, sedimen,   and biota in Kapuas river, and 2)  to evaluate whether mercury disposition of the sample have been exceeded the threshold value which permitted  to  be  consummed  by animal an human. The sample of this research were water, sediment, and biota (algae and fish)  in Kapuas river.The research was carried out by experiment with  neutron activation  analysis  (NAA) method     The determination of the elements in sample was conducted by gamma spectroscopy.  The mercury disposition in sample was determined by comparing the cps of sample and the cps of standard (20 ppm). The results showed that the mercury disposition in water at TPI pier, KPLP pier, Dephub pier, and Kampung Mendawai were 0,25 ppm,0,14 ppm,    0,19 ppm,  and  0,09 ppm  respectively.    The mercury disposition at sediment in TPI pier and Dephub pier were 1.56 ppm0.63 ppm  respectively.  on  the  other  hand  the  disposition  of  the mercury in KPLP pier and Kampung Mendawai were not detectedThe mercury disposition at algae  in a  cross  of Pertamina   office, Taman Alun-Alun  Kapuas, Kapuas bridge, and near Sudarso hospital were 0,41 ppm, 0,59 ppm. 0.58 ppm, dan 0,68 ppm respectively.Keywords: The mercury disposition, water, sediment, water biota. andNAA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika berbasis kegiatan outbond untuk pencapaian kompetensi sesuai tuntutan Kurikulum 2013. Selain itu, untuk mengetahui kualitas perangkat pembelajaran hasil pengembangan serta mengetahui peningkatan penguasaan materi gerak melingkar, capaian sikap kerjasama, motivasi berprestasi, dan keterampilan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan 4D Models. Pada tahap Define, merencanakan perangkat pembelajaran gerak melingkar dengan kegiatan outbond. Pada tahap Design, merancang produk perangkat pembelajaran berupa RPP dan LKPD. Pada tahap Develop, validasi draft produk oleh validator ahli − revisi, uji coba pembelajaran 1 − revisi, dan uji coba pembelajaran 2 − revisi. Pada tahap Desiminate, penyebarluasan perangkat pembelajaran hasil pengembangan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X MIPA2 MAN Yogyakarta II. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes, angket, dan lembar observasi. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan penguasaan materi gerak melingkar peserta didik dalam kategori sedang. Capaian dengan kriteria sangat baik, baik, dan cukup baik pada aspek kerjasama (56%, 33%, dan 11%), motivasi berprestasi (22%, 59%, dan 19%), dan kreativitas (33%, 52%, dan 15%) dari keseluruhan peserta didik.Kata kunci: perangkat pembelajaran, outbond, mata pelajaran fisika SMA

Abstract

In higher Education, Graduate Students have a special characteristic of the learning process. Especially in the new normal era, Higher Education needs the best learning model that fits and comfortable for graduate students. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Blended Learning with Peer Tutor (BL-PT) for graduate students in the new normal era, especially on the aspect of motivation and service satisfaction. It is descriptive quantitative research with the random sampling technique. In addition, this study also examined whether the level of satisfaction had an effect on student motivation in learning in the new normal period. There were 43 Graduate Students from Graduate School Program, Yogyakarta State University as participants in this study. The technique of data analyses was used comparative-descriptive and paired sample t-test using SPSS 24. The study reveals: (1) The BL-PT model has a positive impact on students motivation and service satisfaction of Higher Education; (2) there is not a significant difference in students motivation of male and female graduate students; (3) there is no significant difference of students service satisfaction level after learning with BL-PT. Learning with the BL-PT model can be an alternative for policymakers, Higher education Institution, and lecture to solve the learning model that fit and comfortable with graduate students in the New Normal Era

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk: 1) memberikan  pengetahuan bagi guru IPA SD untuk merancang media pembelajaran IPA sederhana, 2) melatih keterampilan guru IPA untuk membuat media pembelajaran IPA sederhana, dan 3) melatih keterampilan guru IPA dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran IPA sederhana.  Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan kepada 7 guru IPA SD di Kabupaten Sleman tentang merancang, membuat, dan menggunakan alat peraga IPA sederhana.  Pelatihan dilakukan di Ruang Perpustkaan Fisika pada tanggal 4 November 2016.  Hasil pengabdian pada masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa: 1) peserta memiliki pengetahuan dalam merancang alat peraga, 2) peserta memiliki keterampilan dalam merancang alat peraga IPA, dan 3) peserta terampil menggunakan alat peraga IPA. Kata kunci: pelatihan, media pembelajaran, IPA

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah: 1) meningkatkan pengetahuan guru IPA SD tentang materi kelistrikan dan kemagnetan yang terkait dengan  Kit Listrik dan Magnet SEQIP, 2) meningkatkan keterampilan guru IPA SD dalam menggunakan  Kit Listrik Magnet SEQIP,  dan 3) meningkatkan minat guru IPA SD untuk menggunakan alat peraga ( Kit IPA) dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas.        Pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan memberikan pelatihan tentang penggunaan Kit Listrik dan Magnet SEQIP.  Subjek pengabdian adalah guru-guru IPA SD di Kecamatan Manding Kabupaten Bantul.  Pelatihan dilakukan dengan memberikan penjelasan percobaan-percobaan yang terkait dengan Kit Listrik dan Magnet dan praktik menggunakan kit untuk melakukan percobaan sederhana. Materi percobaan meliputi: rangkaian listrik sederhana, rangkaian resistor seri, rangkaian resistor parallel, motor listrik, dan dinamo.  Data peningkatan penguasaan materi listrik magnet diukur dengan tes. Data keterampilan guru menggunakan kit diukur pada saat peserta pelatihan melakukan kegiatan praktik menggunakan alat percobaan. Data minat guru IPA untuk menggunakan alat peraga dalam kegiatan pembelajaran diukur dengan angket.    Evaluasi kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dengan meminta saran dan masukan secara langsung dari perserta pelatihan  di akhir kegiatan dengan angket.        Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah: 1) Penguasaan materi listrik magnet peserta pelatihan mengalami peningkatan setelah mengikuti pelatihan, 2) Keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan kit listrik magnet SEQIP mengalami peningkatan, dan 3) Minat guru IPA SD untuk menggunakan alat peraga dalam kegiatan pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan menghasilkan  perangkat pembelajaran berbasis mobile learning yang layak digunakan oleh mahasiswa PPL dengan pokok bahasan Gerak Parabola dan Fluida serta mengetahui hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran tersebut.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian R & D dengan desain ADDIE, aplikasi yang dikembangkan diujicobakan kepada siswa kelas X, dan XI. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemberian lembar validasi kepada ahli materi, ahli media, guru fisika, dan  peer reviewer untuk menilai kelayakan produk serta angket respon siswa  untuk memberi masukan produk yang dikembangkan. Pengadaan test , pengisian angket, observasi di kelas, dan wawancara untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran mobile learning terpasang di Play Store (FISIKA ASYIK)  layak digunakan untuk pembelajaran Gerak Parabola dan Fluida. Sebagai media pembelajaran dengan pokok bahasan Gerak Parabola kelas X dan Fluida kelas XI yang terpasang pada Play Store, dan mampu membatu siswa untuk mencapai KKM dengan persentase sebesar 60,7% pada materi Gerak Parabola di SMAN 4 Yogyakarta, 39,3% di SMA N 1 Sewon, 30,1 % pada materi Fluida statis di SMA N 4 Yogyakarta dan 35,5% pada materi Fluida Dinamis di SMA N 1 Depok. Kata Kunci :  Mobile Learning, Gerak Parabola-Fluida, PPL
