Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' conceptual understanding of linear equations and inequalities in terms of sociomathematical norms. The background of this research is based on the importance of conceptual understanding in mathematics learning and the role of sociomathematical norms as part of the classroom social environment that influences students' learning processes. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with six tenth-grade students from SMA Muhammadiyah Bangkinang Kota, selected through purposive sampling based on high, medium, and low categories derived from the sociomathematical norms questionnaire. The research instruments consisted of a questionnaire, written test, and semi-structured interviews. The findings show that students with high sociomathematical norms tend to have better conceptual understanding, as evidenced by their ability to restate concepts, classify objects, provide examples and non-examples, correctly apply mathematical procedures, and implement concepts in real-world contexts. In contrast, students with low sociomathematical norms struggle to understand and apply concepts accurately. These findings indicate that sociomathematical norms significantly contribute to students' conceptual understanding in mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the JUCAMA learning model assisted by the Math Solver application on students' mathematical critical thinking skills. The background of this research is the importance of developing critical thinking skills in mathematics learning, as well as the need to utilize learning models and technology that can support this process. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design and involves seventh-grade students at MTs in Sawah Village as research subjects. Sample selection was done using purposive sampling with two classes: the experimental class using the JUCAMA model and the control class using expository learning. The research instruments include a critical thinking skills test covering indicators of interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference. The research results indicate that there is a significant influence of implementing the JUCAMA learning model assisted by the Math Solver application on improving students' critical thinking skills. Students who participated in learning using the JUCAMA model showed higher achievement in the indicators of interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference compared to students who underwent expository learning. These findings suggest that using the JUCAMA model with the support of digital technology can be an effective strategy in developing students' mathematical critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' early reading skills through the Play Based Learning method with the help of Puzzle media in class I students of UPT SDN 004 Sungai Jalau in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this study were students, while the objects in this study were the Play Based Learning method with Puzzle media and students' early reading skills. This study was carried out in 2 cycles, each cycle was carried out in 2 meetings. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, tests and documentation. Based on the increase in the number of students who achieved the learning objective achievement criteria (KKTP) and the increase in the average class and classical scores. The classical completeness presentation value in cycle 1 meeting 1 was 61.90%, in cycle I meeting II 76.19%, and cycle II meeting 1 90.47%, in cycle II meeting II 95.23%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that through the Play Based Learning method with the help of Puzzle media, it can improve students' early reading skills in class I UPT SDN 004 Sungai Jalau.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Di Kuala Lumpur, terdapat anak-anak usia sekolah keturunan Indonesia yang tidak dapat mengikuti sekolah formal karena status kewarganegaraan. Untuk membantu agar anak-anak tersebut tetap bisa belajar dan mengikuti pembelajaran, sejumlah warga asal Indonesia berinisiatif mendirikan Sanggar Belajar Muhammadiyah (SBM). Anak-anak belajar di SBM tersebut tanpa ada guru yang tetap, sehingga kurikulum yang diikuti tidaklah kurikulum formal dan hanya diajarkan agar tetap bisa membaca, berhitung, belajar beribadah.Tujuan: Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk: 1) meningkatkan pemahaman konsep belajar angka dan bentuk bangun datar melalui kontekstualisasi budaya, dan 2) menumbuhkan kebanggaan terhadap warisan budaya. Pembelajaran diharapkan menjadi lebih bermakna dan mengurangi kecemasan matematika karena menghubungkan matematika dengan identitas budaya.  Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan karena siswa di Sanggar Belajar Muhammadiyah (SBM) belajar tidak memiliki guru khusus matematka, sehingga pemahaman terhadap konsep-konsep dasar matematika, khususnya angka dan bangun datar masih sangat kurang.Metode: Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bentuk partisipasi sebagai Invited Speaker dalam konferensi internasional The 3rd IJESAS 2025 dengan tema "Innovating for a Sustainable Future: Holistic Integration of Sciences to Achieve the SDGs through Technological Advances". Kegiatan dilaksanakan secara hybrid pada 2-3 Oktober 2025 di SBM Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Metode yang digunakan adalah presentasi ilmiah, diskusi, dan diseminasi manuskrip. Hasil: Hasil yang dicapai antara lain: (1) Terjadi transfer ilmu mengenai etnomatematika kepada peserta internasional; (2) Terjalinnya jejaring untuk kolaborasi masa depan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan berlangsung lancar dan seluruh siswa dari SBM Kuala Lumpur Malaysia yang membuktikan bahwa partisipasi dalam forum internasional efektif sebagai media pengabdian masyarakat memiliki berdampak positif, yang mana peserta sudah lebih baik dalam memahami konsep tentang angka dan bentuk bangun datar. Disarankan untuk melakukan pendampingan lanjutan dan pengembangan modul berbasis etnomatematika untuk sanggar belajar komunitas Indonesia di luar negeri

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap kreativitas mengajar dan kompetensi profesional guru di SDN 4 Talang Muandau. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen melalui desain one group pretest–posttest. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 15 guru yang dipilih menggunakan teknik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana dan paired sample t-test dengan bantuan IBM SPSS Statistics 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kreativitas mengajar guru serta kompetensi profesional guru. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa kepemimpinan yang efektif, ditandai dengan kemampuan memberikan motivasi, dukungan, supervisi akademik, dan keteladanan, mampu menciptakan iklim kerja yang kondusif bagi pengembangan kreativitas dan profesionalisme guru. Secara teoretis, penelitian ini memperkuat kajian kepemimpinan pendidikan yang menempatkan kepala sekolah sebagai penggerak utama peningkatan kualitas kinerja guru. Secara praktis, hasil penelitian memberikan implikasi bagi kepala sekolah dalam merancang strategi kepemimpinan yang lebih partisipatif dan transformatif guna meningkatkan kreativitas mengajar dan kompetensi profesional guru di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of principal leadership on interpersonal skills and the use of Canva media by teachers at SDN 6 Talang Muandau. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sample in this study were all teachers at SDN 6 Talang Muandau, totaling 16 people. Data collection techniques were carried out by distributing questionnaires to 16 teachers who were respondents in this study and observation sheets. The research instrument includes three variables, namely principal leadership (X), interpersonal skills (Y₁), and use of Canva media (Y₂). Data analysis was carried out using IBM SPSS Statistic 25 through simple linear regression tests and partial t-tests. The results of the study showed that there was a positive and significant influence between principal leadership and teacher interpersonal skills, with a regression coefficient value of 0.984 and a significance value of 0.000 (0.05). In addition, principal leadership also had a positive and significant effect on the use of Canva media by teachers, with a regression coefficient value of 0.651 and a significance value of 0.030 (0.05). From these results, it can be concluded that the quality of the principal's leadership contributes directly to improving teachers' interpersonal skills and encouraging the use of digital media such as Canva in the learning process. This study recommends the importance of increasing the leadership capacity of principals and ongoing training for teachers in utilizing learning technology.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of transformational leadership and principal motivation on teacher performance at SDN 31 Bathin Solapan. The problem in this study is based on field findings that teacher performance is still not optimal, which is indicated by the lack of innovation in learning, low discipline in compiling teaching materials, and minimal teacher involvement in professional development activities. This study uses a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques use questionnaires and observations. The sample in this study amounted to 15 teachers, with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that: (1) transformational leadership has a significant effect on teacher performance, with a significance value of 0.001 0.05 and tcount ttable (8.077 2.703); (2) principal motivation also has a significant effect on teacher performance with a significance value of 0.001 0.05 and tcount ttable (8.841 2.703); (3) Simultaneously, transformational leadership and principal motivation have a significant effect on teacher performance with a significance value of 0.000 0.05 and Fcount Ftable (7.405 3.89). Thus, it can be concluded that the higher the quality of transformational leadership and principal motivation, the better the teacher performance at SDN 31 Bathin Solapan

Abstract

Primary education is a crucial phase in shaping students’ intelligence, character, and morality. Its quality is largely determined by the role of professional and competent teachers. This article aims to theoretically analyze the role of teacher competence based on the National Education Standards (SNP) as a pillar of quality learning in elementary schools. Although numerous studies discuss teacher competence and its impact on learning quality, research that specifically positions the SNP as the primary analytical framework for evaluating teacher competence in elementary schools remains very limited. This study employs a literature review approach with a theoretical-qualitative analysis method, drawing on legal sources, national literature, and international research findings from 2015 to 2025. The findings show that the four teacher competencies in the SNP (pedagogical, personal, social, and professional) play a strategic role in creating effective, humanistic, and innovative learning. Pedagogical competence supports student-centered learning, personal competence shapes exemplary behavior, social competence fosters inclusive interaction, and professional competence enhances subject mastery and teaching creativity. International studies reinforce that the integration of these four competencies positively impacts students’ learning motivation and achievement. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening continuous teacher training and implementing evidence-based policies to develop professional teachers with global competitiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of compensation and collaborative leadership of the principal on teacher work enthusiasm. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research type and multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The population of the study was all teachers at SDN 20 Mandau, with a sample of 12 teachers taken by total sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a Likert scale and an observation sheet. The results of the study showed that partially compensation did have a significant effect on teacher work enthusiasm, with a significance value of 0.004 0.05 and a t-count of 3,349 t table (2.201) so that Ho was reject. On the other hand, the collaborative leadership of the principal had a significant effect on teacher work enthusiasm with a significance value of 0.000 0.05 and a t-count of 5.401 t table (2.201) so that Ho was rejected. Simultaneously, the compensation and collaborative leadership variables of the principal had a significant effect on teacher work enthusiasm. This is proven by the significance value of 0.001 0.05, and the Fcount value of 14.823 Ftable of 4.84. Thus, the better the collaborative leadership of the principal and the more adequate the compensation received by teachers, the higher the teacher's work enthusiasm.
