Abstract

ABSTRAKMeniran adalah anggota dari famili Euphorbiaceae. Lignan, berupafilantin dan hipofilantin yang ada di dalam tanaman, dilaporkan sebagaiagen hepatoprotektif dalam terapi pengobatan yang utama. Eksplorasitelah dilakukan terhadap 13 aksesi meniran pada berbagai tipe habitat yangberbeda di Kabupaten Bangkalan dan Gresik, Provinsi Jawa Timur.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh dari aksesi dan tarafnaungan terhadap pertumbuhan dan kandungan filantin dan hipofilantintanaman meniran (Phyllanthus sp. L). Penelitian dilakukan di KebunPercobaan IPB di Babakan Sawah Baru, Bogor, Jawa Barat denganketinggian tempat 250 m dml dari Maret 2009 sampai September 2009.Percobaan disusun dalam rancangan petak terbagi dengan 3 kali ulangan.Petak utama adalah 3 taraf naungan (N) terdiri atas : 0% (N0), 25%naungan (N1) dan 50% naungan (N2). Anak petak adalah 13 aksesimeniran (A) terdiri atas : A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, A9, A10, A11,A12, dan A13 berasal dari Bangkalan dan Gresik. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa naungan 50% meningkatkan tinggi tanaman danmenurunkan jumlah daun majemuk. Terjadi interaksi naungan dan aksesiterhadap jumlah cabang. Uji Duncan menghasilkan 3 kelompok aksesiyang mempunyai respon berbeda terhadap naungan. Aksesi nomor 6 dan 7merupakan aksesi yang menunjukkan pertumbuhan dan produksi biomassayang lebih besar dibandingkan aksesi lainnya. Aksesi nomor 7 mempunyaikandungan total filantin dan hipofilantin tertinggi, karena pengaruhnaungan dapat menurunkan kandungan total filantin dan meningkatkankandungan total hipofilantin.Kata kunci : Phyllanthus sp. The sub plot wasof Phyllanthus sp. accessions (A) consisting of A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6,A7, A8, A9, A10, A11, A12, and A13 taken from Bangkalan and Gresik.The results showed that 50% shade increased plant height but decreasednumber of leaves. Interaction between shading intensity and accessiongave significant effect on number of branches. Referring to their responseson shades, all accessions were divided into 3 groups by DMRT. Biomassproductions of accessions number 6 and 7 were greater than the otheraccessions. Accession number 7 was the highest in phyllanthin andhypophyllanthin contents where the shading reduced the phyllanthin butincreased the hypophyllanthin contents.Key words: Phyllanthus sp., phyllanthin, hypophyllanthin, shading,accessions

Abstract

Six tomato genotypes were grown in the field under full sun at 50% reduced light intensity using shading net to evaluate growth, fruit set, and fruit cracking incident. The experiment was conducted during the rainy season in December 2016 to March 2017 in Cikarawang Experimental Station, Bogor, Indonesia. The genotypes tested were sensitive (“Tora” and F7005001-4-1-12-5), tolerant (F7003008-1-12-10-3 and F7003008-1-12-16-2), and shade-loving (SSH-3 and “Apel Belgia”). The results showed 50% shading delayed flowering and harvesting time in all genotypes. Genotype and shading treatments had an independent effect on fruit set. Shaded plants had lower flower abortion and resulted in a higher number of fruits per harvest, except in “Apel Belgia” and “Tora” genotypes. Fruit cracking incidents were low under shading implying the use of shading can increase tomato quality. However, it needs further investigation through using natural shading, e.g., intercropping system before this finding is applied in farmers’ field.

Abstract

Abstrak: Masalah dalam penelitian ini apakah melalui pembiasaan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca doa dalam kegiatan sehari-hari pada anak usia 5-6 tahun.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan sebanyak 2 siklus dalam 3 kali pertemuan, setiap siklus meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian mengunakan teknik komunikasi langsung, observasi langsung dan dokumentasi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan anak membaca doa dalam kegiatan sehari-hari mengalami peningkatan yang sangat baik setelah diberikan tindakan berupa penerapan melalui pembiasaan sebagai upaya meningkatkan kemampuan membaca doa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini maka saran yang diberikan ialah:  Diharapkan dapat menambah sikap yang benar dalam berdoa pada anak usia 5-6 tahun, pemberian motivasi yang tepat pada anak dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar anak dalam membaca doa dan menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri yang positif, guru dapat mengadakan pendekatan kepada anak secara individu yang kurang agar kemampuan membaca doa anak semakin meningkat. Kata Kunci : Membaca, doa, pembiasaan Abstract : The problem in this research is through habituation can improve the reading skills of prayer in daily activities in children aged 5-6 years . This research is conducted as a class action 2 cycles in 3 sessions , each cycle including planning, execution , observation , and reflection . Data collection techniques in the study using the technique of direct communication , direct observation and documentation . The results showed that children's ability to read a prayer in daily activities has increased very well after a given action through the application of habituation as an effort to improve the ability to read the prayer . Based on these results , the advice given is : Expected to add the right attitude in prayer in children aged 5-6 years , the provision of proper motivation in children can improve children's learning outcomes in reading prayers and foster positive self-esteem , teachers can approached the individual child who is less so the ability to read the prayer kid increase.   Key Words : Reading,  prayer , habituation

Abstract

Preeclampsia was defined as new onset hypertension and proteinuria after 20 weeks of gestation in which the mother had no previous history of hypertension. Preeclampsia is a disorder that often occurs in pregnancy with an incidence rate of 2-8% among pregnancies in the world. Preeclampsia ranks 2nd as a cause of maternal death (MMR). In East Java, preeclampsia was ranked 1st as the cause of AKI in 2016. Preeclampsia as one of the main causes of maternal death can be detected and treated properly before the emergence of life-threatening complications such as eclampsia. In severe cases, preeclampsia increases the risk of comorbidities such as Hemolysis, Elevated Liver Enzyme Levels, and Low Platelet Levels (HELLP) syndrome, edema, Disseminated Vascular Coagulation (DIC), and eclampsia/cerebral edema, whereas in fetus preeclampsia is associated with intrauterine growth restriction. (IUGR), prematurity and fetal death. Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) is obtained from olives in a mechanical way that does not change the composition of the oil. Research on EVOO has been widely studied in a broad spectrum which explores its content as antioxidants and also anti-inflammatory polyphenols and tocopherols that can be used as anti-oxidants and also anti-inflammatory. The purpose of this study was to prove the role of EVOO on placental and fetal weight in preeclampsia model Wistar rats. The design of this study was experimental (quasi experimental) with a posttest only control group design approach. This study consisted of 5 groups, negative group, positive group (preeclampsia model rats), treatment groups 1, 2 and 3, namely preeclampsia rats that were given EVOO in 3 different doses (each 0.5ml/day, 1ml/day, 2 ml/day). After being sacrificed, the placenta and fetus are weighed to determine their weight. The results showed that the administration of EVOO was effective in increasing the weight of the placenta and fetus in preeclampsia model rats with a P value of 0.000 (P<0.05).

Abstract

The term of allelopathy refers to chemical interactions (inhibitory or stimulatory) between plants, between plants and microorganisms, and between microorganisms. The wealth of information on the processes, procedures, and practices of allelopathy has contributed to understanding this field of science. Recently, researches of allelopathy have been conducted in laboratory, greenhouse, and field with multifaceted standpoint in some concerning area: (i) allelochemicals identifications and screening test; (ii) ecological and physiological aspects of allelopathy; (iii) genetic studies and the possibilities of using plant breeding or genetic manipulation to enhance allelopathic varieties; (iv) the use of allelopathic potential in the biological control, including as natural pesticide, of weeds and plant diseases as eco-friendly approach for sustainable agriculture scheme. Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Cikabayan Darmaga Bogor dari bulan Desember 2011- Mei 2012. Tujuan penelitian untuk mempelajari pengaruh jenis stek dan jarak tanam tanam terhadap kecepatan penutupan A. pintoi dan pengaruhnya terhadap pertumbuhan serta hasil tanaman tomat. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap Teracak (RKLT) dengan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari 2 faktor yaitu jenis stek ( pangkal, tengah, pucuk) dan jarak tanam tanam ( K1: 20 cm x 20 cm; K2:20 cm x 15 cm; K3: 20 cm x 10 cm; K4: 20 cm x 5 cm). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan jarak tanam dan jenis stek  nyata dapat meningkatkan persen penutupan tanah, sedangkan interaksinya tidak berpengaruh nyata. Perlakuan K4 dan K3 lebih cepat penutupanya disbanding K2 dan K1. Perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan komponen hasil tanaman tomat. Penutupan dapat mengurangi berat kering gulma dan mampu meningkatkan bobot buah tomat  per tanaman.

Abstract

The objectives of the research were to understand indicators of business sustainability tourism from stakeholders’ perspectives in relation to 3P (People, Planet, Profit), to understand how the concept of sustainability is operationalized in the Pancawati group in relation to 3P (People, Planet, Profit), and to map the value chain of Lembur Pancawati as the case in Ecotourism in Bogor. The methodology used was qualitative descriptive practice-oriented business research with single case study. Based on the stakeholder analysis in Bogor tourism, the indicators of sustainable business in tourism are: (i) Involvement from local people, (ii) Preservation of nature and local culture, (iii) Availability of nature Education program, (iv) Strong commitment from business owner/leader, (v) Sufficient capital to support the initial business establishment, (vi) Availability of various networks. The operationalization in Pancawati Group was observed to have item i, iii, and iv partially implemented and the rest was fully implemented. The position of Pancawati Group in value chain was as main firm, as it acted as multiple actors in the chain. In order to have all indicators implemented, it was suggested to have public private partnership in place.Keywords: Sustainable Tourism, Value Chain, Qualitative Methods

Abstract

ISPO (Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil) serves as the baseline of sustainability standards for palm oil industry and is expected to improve the competitive advantage of Indonesian palm oil industry. ISPO was introduced by the government in March 2011 and currently most of plantations are in process of applying ISPO. The objective of this research is to analyze success factors affecting implementation of ISPO. Using qualitative method of in-depth interview on 20 selected experts representing actors mapped in the value chain of palm oil industry. The results depicted that; very little companies apply sustainable principles hence ISPO is needed for industrial standards, success factors affecting ISPO implementation, and necessary conditions for ISPO implementation. SWOT technique resulting 8 recommended strategies to be applied for ISPO implementation. Acknowledging ISPO applies to upstream industry (plantations and mills) only, managerial implication for this research is the need to develop of a grand master plan for Indonesian palm oil Industry by developing integrated policies complementing ISPO aiming for sustainability, growing and developing downstream industry to add value to CPO product, and for upstream industry to be developed by farmers and cooperatives while big investors to develop mills and downstream industry.Keywords: Palm Oil, ISPO, Sustainable Certification, Success Factors, Qualitative

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aims of this research were (1) to identify of the value chain that has been applied by the company, (2) to describe projections from internal and external condition as input in the company’s success factor analysis, (3) to determine the company’s strategic position, and (4) to formulate alternative strategies to increase the company’s competitiveness in  floriculture industry.  This research used SWOT analysis method by considering company’s position and value chain approach which was started with chain mapping to describe actors involved, what business issues in this company face and which activity has the greatest contribution. The value chain approach were also used to determine the prominent product based on the annual sales report. The research results indicated that the issues in the value chain include: expensive input prices, uncertainty in seed supply and higher transportation cost especially for Euro Country and America. Based on internal and external matrix, the company’s position is in the strategic growth quadrant, so the company can apply some alternative strategies such as  (1) maintaining good relationships with customers and suppliers, (2) expanding market to Asia, (3) upgrading the types of tree, (4) attending big exhibitions, (5) develop products by creating plants trendcentre, (6) enhancing the knowledge management for the company’s human resource, (7) production maximizing for the domestic market, (8) establishing distribution channels in each city, (9) setting a clear target market, (10) maintaining the quality of the plants, (11) restructuring the company in order to clarify the specialization of work, and (12) designing documents to better provide the seeds according to customers’ need.Keywords: competitiveness, floriculture industry, chain mapping, value chain economic analysis, SWOT analysisABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) identifikasi rantai nilai yang telah diterapkan oleh perusahaan, (2) menggambarkan dari kondisi internal dan eksternal sebagai analisis faktor keberhasilan perusahaan, (3) posisi strategis perusahaan, dan (4) merumuskan strategi alternatif untuk meningkatkan daya saing dalam industri florikultura. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis SWOT dengan mempertimbangkan posisi perusahaan dan pendekatan value chain dimulai dengan pemetaan rantai untuk menggambarkan siapa aktor yang terlibat, apa masalah bisnis di perusahaan ini dan aktivitas mana memiliki kontribusi terbesar. Pendekatan rantai nilai juga digunakan untuk menentukan produk terkemuka dari laporan penjualan tahunan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa isu-isu dalam rantai nilai meliputi: harga input yang mahal, pasokan benih tidak menentu dan biaya transportasi terutama untuk Negara Eropa dan Amerika lebih tinggi. Hasil matriks internal dan eksternal, posisi perusahaan pada pertumbuhan strategis sehingga perusahaan menerapkan beberapa strategi. Strategi alternatif yang dapat ditingkatkan oleh perusahaan, seperti: (1) maintaning hubungan baik dengan pelanggan dan pemasok, (2) memperluas pasar ekspor ke Asia, (3) meningkatkan jenis pohon, (4) mengikuti pameran besar, (5) berinovasi produk ke membuat trendcentre tanaman, (6) peningkatan manajemen pengetahuan untuk sumber daya manusia di perusahaan, dan (7) memaksimalkan produksi untuk pasar domestik, (8) saluran distribusi yang didirikan di setiap kota, (9) membuat target pasar yang jelas, (10) mempertahankan kualitas tanaman, (11) merestrukturisasi perusahaan dalam rangka untuk memperjelas spesialisasi pekerjaan, (12) membuat dokumen menyediakan benih sesuai dengan kebutuhan pelanggan.Kata kunci: daya saing, industri florikultura, rantai pemetaan, analisis rantai nilai ekonomi, analisis SWOT

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research analyzed the sustainability of culinary tourism in Puncak, comprising the strategic issues review, and comparing its sustainability aspects to the existing culinary enterprises. This study employed a qualitative-descriptive analysis method in three cases: a large-scale Cimory Restaurant, a medium-scale restaurant/café Melrimba Garden, and small-scaled street hawkers in At-Ta'awun rest area. In general, the value chain was categorized into five major band based on their function: Food Service Business; Suppliers (local community, traders, cooperatives); End user (tourists and customers); Governance (government, areal coordinator, Kompepar); and Intermediaries (distributors, tour agents). There were at least five strategic issues that emerged in the tourism development in Puncak area: 1) land function conversion. 2) Economic and social impact of tourism to the local community; 3) Participation of locals in tourism activity; 4) Traffic and infrastructure, and 5) Waste management. The three restaurant operators were compared in term of sustainability criteria, based on their customers’ preferences, and three aspects of sustainability: economic, environment, and social. It was found that Cimory scored the best in sustainability performance and followed by Melrimba. The street hawkers, with several note, scored as third in the sustainability performance.Keywords: culinary tourism, ecotourism, puncak, value chain, sustainable tourismABSTRAKPenelitian bertujuan menganalisis keberlanjutan pariwisata kuliner di Puncak, meliputi kajian isu-isu strategis  dalam  pariwisata kuliner, dan perbandingan aspek keberlanjutan dari usaha kuliner yang sudah ada. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif-kualitatif pada tiga kasus: restoran skala besar Cimory, rumah makan/kafe skala menengah Melrimba Garden, dan penjaja/pedagang asongan di area istirahat At-Ta’awun sebagai pengusaha kuliner skala kecil. Secara umum, rantai nilai dikategorikan menjadi lima kelompok utama berdasarkan fungsinya: penyedia layanan makanan; pemasok (masyarakat lokal, pedagang, dan koperasi); konsumen akhir (turis dan pelanggan); pemerintahan (pemerintah Kabupaten Bogor, areal koordinator, kompepar), dan perantara (distributor, agen tur). Setidaknya ada lima isu strategis yang terjadi dalam pengembangan pariwisata di daerah Puncak: 1) konversi fungsi lahan; 2) dampak ekonomi dan sosial, 3) partisipasi masyarakat lokal dalam kegiatan pariwisata; 4) lalu lintas dan infrastruktur di daerah Puncak, dan 5) pengelolaan sampah. Ketiga restoran memiliki kriteria keberlanjutan, hasil preferensi pelanggan, dan tiga aspek keberlanjutan (ekonomi, lingkungan, dan sosial). Cimory memiliki nilai yang terbaik dalam kinerja keberlanjutan dan diikuti oleh Melrimba. Pedagang kaki lima, dengan beberapa catatan, mencetak nilai sebagai peringkat terakhir dalam kinerja keberlanjutan.Kata kunci: wisata kuliner, ekowisata, puncak, rantai nilai, wisata berkelanjutan
