Abstract

Pangan fungsional adalah pangan yang dikonsumsi sebagai diet biasa,memiliki efek fisiologis, dan dapat mengurangi efek dari penyakit kronis.Salah satunya adalah minuman probiotik. Minuman probiotik yang telahdikenal secara luas selama ini diproduksi dengan menggunakan susu sapisehingga relatif mahal harganya. Penggunaan bahan baku alternatif sepertisari buah nanas diperlukan untuk menghasilkan produk minuman probiotikyang lebih terjangkau namun memiliki kualitas yang baik. Tujuan daripenelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari pengaruh jenis Bakteri Asam Laktat(BAL) terhadap karakteristik minuman probiotik sari buah nanas, danmendapatkan jenis BAL terbaik yang menghasilkan karakteristik probiotikterbaik dari minuman fermentasi laktat sari buah nanas. Penelitian inimenggunakan metode eksploratif dalam perlakuan tunggal jenis BAL:Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Lactobacillus casei, danStreptococcus thermophilus sebagai inokulum uji. Data yang diperolehdianalisis dengan menggunakan Beda Nyata Terkecil pada 1% dan 5%.Perlakuan yang diamati adalah nilai pH, asam laktat total, jumlah BAL,ketahanan terhadap pH asam (2,5), dan uji aktivitas antagonis terhadapbakteri patogen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strain terbaik yangmenghasilkan minuman probiotik yang memenuhi syarat sebagai kriteriaprobiotik adalah Lactobacillus casei. Minuman probiotik yang dihasilkanoleh Lactobacillus casei memiliki nilai pH 3,54; total asam laktat 3,45; danjumlah BAL 1,1x1010 cfu/mL, selisih antara log jumlah koloni pada pH asamdan kontrol adalah 5,67 cfu/mL; dan aktivitas antagonis terhadap bakteripatogen Bacillus cereus adalah 13,97 mm2 (tertinggi).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Role of Management Control Systems in Procurement of Government Goods and Services in the Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Jeneponto. The type of data used in this study is qualitative data. Data collection techniques in this study are interviews, literature studies, and documentation. Data analysis method used in this research is Qualitative Descriptive. The results showed that the role of the management control system in the procurement of goods and services at the Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Jeneponto was good because the control system had the role of forming committees, implementing, monitoring and supervising the procurement of goods and services at the Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Jeneponto.

Abstract

Hyperactive teens on social media who try to keep up with the times. Many parents do not care or even let their children use social media according to their children's wishes without parental supervision. Anticipating this problem, the role of parents is very important in overcoming the negative impact of social media on adolescent behavior, where parents have the task of fulfilling children's thinking with positive things that are in accordance with Islamic teachings in building good mindsets for children. Parents are also tasked with providing supervision of children's social media so that children use social media wisely. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of parents in anticipating the negative impact of social media, the negative impact of social media on adolescent behavior in the X neighborhood of Sumber Karya Village, East Binjai District, Binjai City and parents' efforts to anticipate the negative impact of social media on adolescent behavior in X Sumber Karya Village, East Binjai District, Binjai City. The research location is the X neighborhood of Sumber Karya Village, East Binjai District, Binjai City. This research includes field research (field research) with a descriptive qualitative approach. The results showed that: The role of parents in anticipating the negative impacts of social media: acting as educators, directors and supervisors. The negative impact of social media on adolescent behavior is that teenagers always want to be considered cool in social media, prefer to communicate using social media rather than communicate directly and affect adolescent health. Abstract

The development life insurance company in Indonesia has grown from year to year. In line with the growth of this industry, competition among life insurance companies also increased. As life insurance companies, Prudential need a strategy to achieve the goals which have been determined. Prudential need to know the behavior patterns of consumer when they make decisions to purchase product. This research aims to study the extent to which implementation strategies can influence buying decision of Prulink Term. This research employ descriptive correlation method. In this research descriptive approach is used to give overview of related strategies like marketing communication, product knowledge, survey undertaken by Prudential. Where the correlation approach is used to determine how big the customer purchasing decision.Independent variable of this study is that strategies are divided into several independent variables, among others, advertisement, sales promotion, direct and interactive marketing, personal sales. Whereas for the dependent variable of this study is the consumer purchasing decision of Prulink Term insurance product.

Abstract

Cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) is widely planted on marginal land with low soil fertility. During the initial growth phase, cassava often loses competition against weeds. Legume cover crops are widely used to increase soil fertility, prevent erosion, and suppress weeds. This study aimed to determine the effect of Arachis pintoi bio-mulch application time on the growth and yield of cassava. This study was conducted using a factorial randomized block design. The first factor was four cassava accessions: Ketan Malang, Genjah Bayam, IR Jonggol, and Mangu. The second factor was six levels of bio-mulch planting time: manual weeding (without bio-mulch applications), bio-mulch planting at the same time as cassava planting, and four, eight, and twelve weeks before cassava planting. The observations included plant height, stem diameter, number of tubers, tuber weight, tuber length, plant biomass, dry matter, and productivity. The results showed that all cassava accessions responded similarly to the planting time of A. pintoi bio-mulch. Different bio-mulch application time was insignificant in the cassava growth, except for the number of tubers and tuber diameter. The twelve weeks before cassava planting tends to reduce the results of cassava accessions.Keywords: Arachis pintoi, cover crop, dry land, growth, yield

Abstract

Produktivitas nasional bayam tergolong rendah pada kisaran 20% potensi hasil, sedangkan luas lahan budidaya memiliki tren menurun. Produktivitas dapat ditingkatkan melalui penggunaan varietas unggul dan pemupukan yang optimal. Pemupukan yang optimal sangat penting karena tanaman semusim seperti bayam memiliki siklus hidup yang singkat. Pupuk dasar yang diaplikasikan pada waktu yang tepat dapat mengoptimalkan pertumbuhan dan produktivitas bayam. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh waktu aplikasi pupuk dasar terhadap berbagai genotipe bayam. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan kelompok lengkap teracak (RKLT) pola tersarang, dengan petak utama waktu aplikasi pupuk dasar (0 MST dan 1 MST) dan anak petak 14 genotipe bayam. Peubah yang diamati meliputi: tinggi tanaman, daya tumbuh, diameter batang, ukuran daun, panjang tangkai daun, umur panen, bobot per tanaman, bobot per petak, dan dugaan hasil per hektar. Data yang diperoleh diolah menggunakan software Ms. Excel dan dianalisis menggunakan uji BNJ pada taraf nyata 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan waktu aplikasi berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap karakter-karakter agronomis seperti panjang daun, lebar daun, panjang tangkai daun, diameter batang, luas daun, bobot pertanaman, dan produktivitas, pertumbuhan dan produktivitas lebih tinggi pada aplikasi pupuk dasar 1 MST, serta berpengaruh nyata pada tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun saat 2 MST. Produktivitas tertinggi dimiliki oleh genotipe B3, B14 dan B12 yang merupakan bayam hijau. Produktivitas terendah terdapat pada genotipe B6, B8 dan B9 yang merupakan bayam merah. Rata-rata produktivitas bayam hijau lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan bayam merah. Terdapat keragaman yang nyata antara genotipe yang diuji pada semua karakter. Abstract

The intercropping system has become increasingly important due to the limited availability of agricultural land and the growing population. Sweet corn is one of the potential crops for intercropping; however, its compatibility with companion plants varies among genotypes. This study analyzed the canopy diversity of 10 sweet corn genotypes and their impact on temperature, humidity, and light intensity. The research was conducted at the Pasir Kuda Experimental Station, Bogor Agricultural University, from June to August 2024, using ten hybrid sweet corn genotypes in a randomized complete block design with three replications. Each genotype was planted in plots measuring 3.75 m², with a 25 cm × 75 cm spacing, resulting in 30 plants per bed. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and hierarchical analysis identified three clusters of genotypes based on ten morphological traits. The first cluster included “Verona”, “Talenta”, “Paragon”, SM12 x SB13, “Exotic”, and “Secada”. The second cluster consisted of “Arinta”, SB8 x SM6, and SM12 x SM1, while the third cluster included SM1 x SM9. Temperature and humidity measurements revealed significant differences among clusters, influencing photosynthetic efficiency and yield potential. Denser canopies exhibited lower temperatures, higher humidity, and reduced light intensity, whereas more open canopies displayed higher temperatures, lower humidity, and increased light intensity. The study also analyzed cob weight, length, and diameter, as well as critical factors for yield potential and photosynthetic efficiency. Based on the results, genotypes with denser canopies from Cluster One (“Verona”, “Talenta”, “Paragon”, SM12 x SB13, “Exotic”, and “Secada”) are recommended for intercropping with cayenne peppers due to their favourable microclimate compatibility.

Abstract

Padi merupakan tanaman pangan utama yang menghadapi kendala budidaya, seperti keterbatasan tenaga kerja, mahalnya sarana produksi, dan berkurangnya lahan serta air. Sistem tanam benih langsung (tabela) dinilai lebih efisien, namun meningkatkan populasi gulma. Pengendalian ramah lingkungan diperlukan, dan bioherbisida dari umbi teki (Cyperus rotundus L.) berpotensi menekan pertumbuhan gulma melalui mekanisme alelopati. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji pengaruh bioherbisida berbahan baku umbi teki pada gulma dalam pertanaman padi sawah sistem tabela. Terdapat tujuh perlakuan dalam penelitian ini diantaranya bioherbisida formulasi granul berbahan baku umbi teki dengan dosis 22.5 kg ha-1 , 45 kg ha-1, 67.5 kg ha-1, dan 90 kg ha-1, tanpa pengendalian (kontrol), pengendalian manual, dan herbisida tiobenkarb dosis 15 kg ha-1 . Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji F pada taraf nyata α = 5% dan dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi bioherbisida umbi teki dosis 67.5 – 90 kg ha-1 secara efektif mampu menekan pertumbuhan gulma pada pertanaman padi sawah tabela hingga 6 MST. Aplikasi bioherbisida umbi teki dosis 22.5 – 90 kg ha-1 mampu menghambat pertumbuhan gulma dominan yakni gulma daun lebar Sphenoclea zeylanica dan Ludwigia octovalvis tanpa menimbulkan gejala keracunan pada tanaman padi. Berdasarkan keefektifannya dalam mengendalikan gulma dan pengaruhnya terhadap hasil panen padi, dosis terbaik adalah 90 kg ha-1. Abstract

The study of adaptation mechanisms in cayenne pepper under shade stress is crucial for further exploration. Cayenne pepper is one of the primary commodities that play an essential role in the agricultural industry. This research focuses on the adaptation of morphological, physiological, and secondary metabolite characteristics of cayenne pepper under shading treatments, while also examining the role of microclimate on these characteristics. The study was conducted from August 2023 to February 2024 at the Leuwikopo experimental field of Bogor Agricultural University, using five genotypes of cayenne pepper cultivated under two shading treatments: 0% and 50% shading, achieved using shade netting. The results showed that among the five genotypes tested, shade-loving genotypes, such as “Bonita,” and shade-tolerant genotypes, like “Ori 212,” displayed a greater morphological response in terms of plant height and canopy width under 50% shade compared to the other genotypes. In terms of yield traits, shade-tolerant genotypes, such as “Ori 212”, exhibited the highest fruit weight per plant under a 50% shading treatment compared to the other genotypes. Regarding physiological responses, specifically pigment content, no significant effect of shading treatment was observed. However, in terms of secondary metabolite content, all genotypes responded by increasing total phenol and flavonoid levels when grown in unshaded conditions or under full light intensity. This study provides insights into the adaptive responses of various cayenne pepper genotypes to microclimatic conditions in their growing environment.

Abstract

Tomato becomes important as under-storey crop in agroforestry in Indonesia. However, farmers claim that there is yield reduction under such system. Hence, six tomato genotypes were planted under 50% reduced sunshine and full sunshine as control using randomized block nested design with genotype as main plot. The study was carried out in December 2016 to March 2017 at Cikarawang Experimental Farm, IPB Bogor. Research aimed to evaluate the production stability of tomato genotypes under shading treatment. Results showed that 50% shading affected tomato production and disease incident. Number of collected-fruit was 15-60% higher under 50% shading except for Apel Belgia and Tora genotypes that tended to decrease. Incident of gemini virus decreased by 80% and its severity decreased by 70% under 50% shading. However, 50% shading reduced tomato yield at rate 24.1% in each harvesting cycle due to a tendency on reduction on individual fruit size, irrespective genotypes. Present study demonstrated that genotype and disease incident determined tomato yield under shading. It needs further evaluation on the cause of low disease infection under 50% shading.
