Abstract

Penelitian  ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan  bagaimana kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa  dalam menyelesaikan soal berbasis literasi matematika ditinjau dari gaya kognitif field independent dan field dependent. Berdasarkan tujuan tersebut penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu GEFT, tes kemampuan penalaran, wawancara, serta dilengkapi dengan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu data reduction, data display, dan conclusion drawing/verification. Indikator yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menyajikan pernyataan matematika secara lisan dan tertulis, mengajukan dugaan, melakukan manipulasi matematika, memberikan alasan atau bukti terhadap beberapa solusi, menarik kesimpulan, dan memeriksa keshahihan argumen.  Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa bergaya kognitif field independent memiliki keenam indikator sedangkan siswa bergaya kognitif field dependent hanya mampu menguasai dua indikator, yaitu menyajikan pernyataan matematika secara lisan dan tertulis, mengajukan dugaan dan melakukan manipulasi matematika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajarann interaktif berbasis etnomatematika berbantu macromedia flash pada materi kubus dan balok SMP Kelas VIII. Rata-rata penilaian uji validasi materi diperoleh 4,60 (sangat baik) dan ahli media pembelajaran diperoleh 4,62 (sangat baik). Dilakukan uji keefektifan dengan postest. Dari analisis nilai postest dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis etnomatematika berbantu macromedia flash pada materi kubus dan balok SMP kelas VIII yang dikembangkan valid dan efektif untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran matematika pada materi kubus dan balok kelas VIII.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the level of mathematical literacy of high ability students in solving mathematics problems in class VIII SMP. The study was conducted at SMP Negeri 3 Purwodadi in the 2018/2019 school year. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Data collection is done by tests, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were chosen by three students, all of whom are students with high literacy mathematical abilities. The results showed that the mathematical literacy process of students at the stage of formulating mathematical problems was identifying the mathematical aspects of a problem context in real life and identifying known variables; determine mathematical models and simplify problems; and determine aspects of mathematical concepts, facts or procedures of a problem.

Abstract

The main problems of SMP Negeri 34 Semarang are (1) do not have human resources who capable of implementing blended learning, especially by using the google form and google classroom; (2) teachers have not used information technology optimally; (3) the teacher is not yet technically optimal in publishing teaching materials and instructional media using technology. Therefore, to improve the teachers’ ability in providing learning media that are more interesting and enjoyable, a blended learning workshop is provided for making google forms and google classroom. The methods in this partnership program are lectures, practices, questions-answers and assignments. The program was occured for two days with details of the first day's workshop on google forms along with their practices and assignments. Meanwhile, the second day's workshop was on google classroom along with practices and assignments. The results of this activity are workshop participants are able to create an account, design teaching materials and evaluation tools through google forms and google classroom. In addition, teachers are more technically optimal in publishing teaching materials and learning media using technology.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the motivation and learning achievement of class VIII students who get treatment with the Problem Based Learning model is better than the conventional learning model. This type of research is quantitative research. In this study using a questionnaire to determine student learning motivation and tests to determine student learning achievement. The sampling technique with Cluster Random Sampling from the population of class VIII students. Data collection techniques with documentation, tests, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques in this study were Multivariate Normality Test, Homogeneity Test of Covariance Matrix, T2 Hotelling Trace Test and independent t-test. From the initial data the daily test scores and learning motivation questionnaire scores are used to determine whether the conditions of the two classes are balanced. From the final data of the experimental and control classes with data analysis techniques such as preliminary data, it can be concluded that motivation and learning achievement of students using the Problem Based Learning model is better than conventional learning models.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan tahapan pemecahan masalah pada soal literasi matematika berdasarkan Teori Polya pada materi sistem persamaan linier dua variabel. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa SMP PGRI 1 Semarang yang dipilih secara purposif. Subyek terdiri dari empat siswa, dua siswa bergaya kognitif reflektif dan dua siswa bergaya kognitif impulsif. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi Matching Familiar Figure Test (MFFT), tes tertulis, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Keabsahan data diuji dengan triangulasi teknik dan sumber. Penelitian ini berbantuan software NVivo untuk manajemen dan analisis data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa subyek reflektif mampu memahami masalah, merencanakan penyelesaian masalah, melaksanaan perencanaan penyelesaian masalah, dan memeriksa kembali jawaban. Sementara itu, subyek impulsif belum mampu memahami masalah, merencanakan penyelesaian masalah, melaksanakan perencanaan penyelesaian masalah, dan memeriksa kembali jawaban.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' academic fraud during math exams during the Covid-19 pandemic based on the missing theory dimension regarding students' academic abilities. This research was conducted in class IX, a junior high school in Semarang. Six subjects were selected purposively, with high, moderate, and low academic ability, two students each. Data collection uses test scores, academic fraud scales, and interviews. The technique of checking the validity of the data is through triangulation of sources and methods. This study shows that students with high, moderate, and low academic abilities commit academic fraud when taking the same exam but with different intensities. The background of the fraud is greed, opportunity, need, and exposure. The form of fraud is copying answers on the internet or collaborating with other friends while doing exams. Students do this because of the effects of online learning and the lack of supervision from the teacher during the exam.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) manakah kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang lebih baik antara siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran SAVI berbantuan LKS, model pembelajaran REACT berbantuan LKS, atau model pembelajaran konvensional, (2) apakah kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran SAVI berbantuan LKS dan model pembelajaran REACT berbantuan LKS mencapai ketuntasan klasikal dan individual, dan (3) apakah terdapat pengaruh keaktifan belajar siswa pada model pembelajaran SAVI berbantuan LKS dan model pembelajaran REACT berbantuan LKS terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain posttest only control design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP Negeri 1 Subah kelas VIII tahun pelajaran 2018/2019. Sampel yang diambil dengan menggunakan cluster random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis variansi satu jalan sel tak sama. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa: (1) model pembelajaran SAVI berbantuan LKS dan model pembelajaran REACT berbantuan LKS menghasilkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang sama, dan kedua model pembelajaran tersebut menghasilkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang lebih baik daripada model pembelajaran konvensional, (2) kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran SAVI berbantuan LKS dan model pembelajaran REACT berbantuan LKS mencapai ketuntasan klasikal dan individual, dan (3) terdapat pengaruh keaktifan belajar siswa pada model pembelajaran SAVI berbantuan LKS dan model pembelajaran REACT berbantuan LKS terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Model pembelajaran SAVI dan REACT berbantuan LKS dapat digunakan guru untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Kata kunci: kemampuan komunikasi matematis, LKS, REACT, SAVI. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine: (1) which mathematical communication skills are better between students who obtain SAVI learning models assisted by LKS, REACT learning models assisted by LKS, or conventional learning models, (2) whether mathematical communication skills of students who get SAVI learning models assisted by LKS and REACT learning models assisted by LKS to achieve classical and individual completeness, and (3) whether there is an influence of student learning activeness on SAVI learning models assisted by LKS and REACT learning models assisted by LKS on students' mathematical communication skills. This type of research is quantitative research with a posttest only control design. The population in this study were students of SMP Negeri 1 Subah class VIII in the academic year 2018/2019. Samples taken using cluster random sampling. Data collection techniques used are tests and observations. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of one-way cell variance is not the same. The results showed that: (1) SAVI learning models assisted by LKS and REACT learning models assisted by LKS produced the same mathematical communication skills, and both learning models produced students' mathematical communication skills better than conventional learning models, (2) ability Mathematical communication of students who obtain SAVI learning models assisted by LKS and REACT learning models assisted by LKS reaches classical and individual completeness, and (3) there is an effect of student learning activeness on SAVI learning models assisted by LKS and REACT learning models assisted by LKS on students' mathematical communication skills. SAVI and REACT learning models assisted by LKS can be used by teachers to improve students' mathematical communication skills. Keywords: Mathematical Communication Ability, LKS, REACT, SAVI.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan pentingnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas model Problem Based Learning dan model Cooperative Learning tipe Think Pair Share berbantuan geogebra. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen. Metode pengumpulan data terdiri dari dokumentasi, tes, dan observasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini digunakan analisis variansi, regresi, dan uji proporsi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang mendapat model PBL berbantuan geogebra memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis sama dengan siswa yang mendapat model TPS berbantuan geogebra, dan kedua model pembelajaran tersebut menghasilkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa lebih baik daripada model pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa pada model PBL dan TPS berbantuan geogebra, terdapat pengaruh keaktifan belajar siswa dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematisnya. Model PBL dan TPS berbantuan geogebra juga menghasilkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang memenuhi ketuntasan klasikal. Kata kunci: Problem Based Learning, Think Pair Share, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the importance of students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning model and the Cooperative Learning model Think Pair Share type assisted by geogebra. The type of research used is experimental research. Data collection methods consist of documentation, testing, and observation. Data analysis in this study used analysis of variance, regression, and proportion test. The results of this study indicate that students who get geogebra-assisted PBL models have the same mathematical problem solving abilities as students who get geogebra-assisted TPS models, and both of these learning models produce students' mathematical problem-solving abilities better than conventional learning models. The results also showed that in the PBL and TPS models assisted by geogebra, there was an influence on students' learning activeness with their mathematical problem solving abilities. The geogebra-assisted PBL and TPS models also produce problem-solving abilities that meet classical completeness. Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical communication skills of junior high school students with high mathematical resilience on the material of probability. The subjects selected in this study were two students of class VIII I of SMP N 1 Sulang who had high mathematical resilience. Data collection techniques used are mathematical resilience questionnaires, written tests and interviews. The validity of the research data was tested using technical triangulation, source triangulation and time triangulation. Data processing and analysis of research results are assisted by the Nvivo QSR software. The results of this study indicate that students with high mathematical resilience can master all indicators to the maximum. Students are able to express mathematical ideas through writing and orally. Students are also able to demonstrate, describe, and understand mathematical ideas. In addition, students are also able to evaluate and interpret mathematical ideas. Students have also used mathematical notations in working on problems on probability material.
