Abstract

Minyak kelapa murni (Virgin Coconut Oil/VCO) merupakan produk bernilai ekonomi tinggi dengan potensi pasar lokal maupun nasional. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Kenagarian Sikabu, Kecamatan Lubuk Alung, Kabupaten Padang Pariaman, untuk meningkatkan nilai jual kelapa melalui pelatihan pembuatan VCO dan sabun berbasis VCO bagi Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT). Rendahnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan anggota KWT menjadi latar belakang kegiatan ini. Melalui pendekatan partisipatif, kegiatan dibagi menjadi tiga tahap: sosialisasi, demonstrasi, dan evaluasi. Sosialisasi dilakukan melalui penyuluhan mengenai manfaat dan proses pembuatan VCO dan sabun berbasis VCO. Tahap demonstrasi mempraktikkan pembuatan VCO tanpa pemanasan dan sabun berbasis VCO. Evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pemahaman peserta. Hasil kegiatan mencakup produk VCO dan sabun berbasis VCO yang ramah lingkungan, serta tumbuhnya semangat kewirausahaan perempuan dalam mengembangkan produk unggulan daerah.

Abstract

Pollution caused by the continued practice of dumping waste into the river and burning it has become a serious problem in Nagari Tanjung, Koto VII Subdistrict, and Sijunjung Regency. The community and village government have not felt sufficiently supported by the existence of a final disposal site (TPA), so residents—especially housewives—dispose of waste around the river, and some residents burn it. This has led to pollution and negative health and environmental effects. Therefore, a community service program was implemented that involved educating the community on waste management and hands-on practice in making ecobricks as a practical approach to utilizing plastic waste. The program ran for three weeks, from June 19, 2025, to July 10, 2025, in Jorong Ujung Padang, involving 44 participants from the beneficiary community members, nagari officials, and students. Throughout the implementation, the activities were guided and facilitated by two supervising lecturers. The stages included delivering material on the importance of waste management, training on Ecobricks production, and mentoring in applying environmentally friendly concepts. The results showed increased community awareness in managing plastic waste and the successful production of 100 ecobricks, which were used as garden elements.

Abstract

This research was conducted to design and produce an electronic module (e-module) for CNC Programming that integrates a project-based learning (PjBL) approach with an immersive gamification strategy, optimized for use on Android-based devices. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) methodology, adopting the 4D framework consisting of the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. Data were obtained from expert validators, lecturers, and students to evaluate the e-module in terms of its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The validation results indicated that the e-module achieved excellent validity, with average scores of 0.917 for media quality and 0.950 for material quality. The practicality evaluation yielded ratings of 96.94% from lecturers and 91.90% from students, both categorized as very practical. The effectiveness test produced an N-Gain value of 0.69, which reflects a moderate improvement in students’ learning performance. Furthermore, the t-test analysis (Sig. 0.001 < 0.05; t-count 3.806 > t-table value) demonstrated a statistically significant difference between the experimental and control groups. Overall, the developed PjBL-based e-module with immersive gamification features was found to be valid, practical, and effective, serving as an interactive learning medium that fosters student engagement and aligns with 21st-century educational demands.

Abstract

Teaching Factory (TEFA) is a production-based learning model that integrates industry competencies into the learning process in vocational schools. This study aims to analyze the inhibiting factors for establishing a Teaching Factory in the Design Modeling and Building Information (DPIB) expertise concentration at SMKN 4 Palembang. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. Research subjects included the Head of DPIB Expertise Concentration, 8 productive teachers, 1 toolman, and school policy documents. The results show five main categories of inhibiting factors: (1) Technical constraints in the form of limited quantities and adequate computer specifications for BIM applications, as well as limited industrial software licenses; (2) HR constraints with teacher competencies who have not mastered integrated BIM workflows and limited numbers of certified construction teachers; (3) Managerial constraints include the lack of a TEFA Core Team and difficulties in integrating learning schedules with TEFA projects; (4) Financial constraints with an initial investment budget gap of IDR 300,000,000 exceeding routine school fund allocations; (5) Industry collaboration constraints in the form of difficulties in building consistent formal partnerships for TEFA projects. This study recommends establishing a TEFA Core Team, improving teacher competence through BIM training, applying for funding through the SMK PK program or corporate CSR, and strengthening partnerships with local consultants and contractors. Keywords: Teaching Factory, DPIB, Vocational School, Inhibiting Factors, BIM.

Abstract

This systematic literature review addresses the limited empirical evidence on integrating e-modules and Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in application-intensive engineering courses, particularly Powertrain Systems. Following PRISMA 2020 guidelines, a Scopus search (2015–2025) identified 600 articles, of which 18 high-quality empirical studies were selected through four screening phases. Meta-aggregation of pre–post data indicates substantial learning gains across domains: cognitive (+24.3%, d = 1.42), affective (+22.7%, d = 1.28), and psychomotor (+25.4%, d = 1.51). Effective e-module features include interactive video tutorials, virtual simulations, and industry-based case studies. Team-based PjBL projects lasting 6–8 weeks emerged as the most suitable format for undergraduate settings. Key challenges involve high development workload, infrastructure limitations, and insufficient faculty readiness. Based on synthesized evidence, this review proposes a structured five-module framework for Powertrain Systems that integrates progressive PjBL complexity, simulation-supported learning, authentic industry contexts, and diversified assessment strategies to enhance learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of transformational leadership on teacher innovation in the use of simple digital learning technologies at SMAN 2 Sipora. As a school located in an island region, teachers face resource constraints, but the presence of digital platforms such as Google Classroom, Canva Edu, and Quizizz provides opportunities for more innovative learning. This study used a quantitative method with a correlational design and involved 35 teachers selected through total sampling. The research instrument was a Likert-scale questionnaire, and data analysis was performed using Pearson's correlation and simple linear regression. The results showed that transformational leadership had a positive and significant relationship with teacher innovation, as indicated by a correlation ue of 0.399. The regression model produced the equation Y = 24.43 + 0.40X, which shows that an increase in transformational leadership is followed by an increase in teacher innovation. These findings emphasize the importance of leadership support and the use of simple digital technology in encouraging innovative learning practices. This study recommends strengthening transformational leadership competencies and increasing access to technology as efforts to improve teacher innovation. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap inovasi guru dalam pemanfaatan teknologi pembelajaran digital sederhana di SMAN 2 Sipora. Sebagai sekolah yang berada di wilayah kepulauan, guru menghadapi keterbatasan sumber daya, namun hadirnya platform digital seperti Google Classroom, Canva Edu, dan Quizizz memberikan peluang bagi terciptanya pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional dan melibatkan 35 guru yang dipilih melalui teknik total sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner skala Likert, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan menggunakan korelasi Pearson dan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional memiliki hubungan positif dan signifikan dengan inovasi guru, ditunjukkan oleh nilai korelasi sebesar 0,399. Model regresi menghasilkan persamaan Y = 24,43 + 0,40X yang menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kepemimpinan transformasional diikuti oleh peningkatan inovasi guru. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya dukungan kepemimpinan serta pemanfaatan teknologi digital sederhana dalam mendorong praktik pembelajaran yang inovatif. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan kompetensi kepemimpinan transformasional dan peningkatan akses teknologi sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan inovasi guru.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menelusuri arah perkembangan, kecenderungan, serta kesenjangan dalam studi yang berfokus pada pengembangan bahan ajar interaktif berbasis web bagi guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) selama periode 2015–2025. Kajian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya kemampuan guru SMK dalam menerapkan teknologi digital secara optimal dalam proses pembelajaran, padahal tuntutan terhadap bahan ajar interaktif semakin meningkat seiring percepatan transformasi pendidikan vokasi di era industri 4.0. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan mengacu pada panduan PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) serta model kerja Kitchenham & Charters (2007). Sebanyak 78 artikel ilmiah berhasil diidentifikasi dari berbagai basis data bereputasi seperti Scopus, Sinta, Google Scholar, DOAJ, ScienceDirect, dan SpringerLink. Setelah melalui tahap seleksi ketat, 20 artikel dipilih untuk dianalisis lebih lanjut menggunakan pendekatan analisis tematik dan sintesis kualitatif.Temuan penelitian memperlihatkan adanya tiga pola dominan, yaitu: (1) peralihan fokus dari sekadar pembuatan media pembelajaran statis menuju penerapan model pembelajaran digital yang lebih adaptif berbasis teori TPACK dan konstruktivisme; (2) peningkatan efektivitas penerapan pembelajaran berbasis web terhadap motivasi, partisipasi aktif, dan capaian hasil belajar siswa SMK; serta (3) peningkatan kemampuan literasi digital guru dalam merancang serta mengimplementasikan bahan ajar interaktif secara mandiri. Selain itu, hasil analisis juga mengungkapkan masih terdapat kesenjangan penelitian pada ranah teoritis, pendekatan metodologis, serta konteks geografis, terutama dalam bidang vokasional non-teknik yang masih kurang terwakili.Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengembangan bahan ajar interaktif berbasis web memiliki peran strategis dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran vokasi serta memberikan kontribusi nyata bagi penguatan landasan teoretis dan kebijakan pengembangan kompetensi digital guru SMK. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi penting untuk penelitian empiris berikutnya sekaligus mendukung penyusunan kebijakan pendidikan vokasi berbasis teknologi yang lebih adaptif dan kontekstual di Indonesia.  Development of Web-Based Interactive Learning Materials for Vocational High School Teachers: A Systematic Literature Review  This study aims to explore the trends, directions, and research gaps in studies focusing on the development of web-based interactive learning materials for vocational high school (SMK) teachers during the 2015–2025 period. The background of this research stems from the limited digital competence of vocational teachers in effectively integrating technology into the learning process, despite the increasing demand for interactive learning materials as vocational education undergoes rapid transformation in the Industry 4.0 era. The research adopts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, following the guidelines of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) and the framework of Kitchenham & Charters (2007). A total of 78 scientific articles were identified from reputable databases including Scopus, Sinta, Google Scholar, DOAJ, ScienceDirect, and SpringerLink. After a rigorous screening process, 20 articles were selected for in-depth analysis using thematic analysis and qualitative synthesis approaches.The findings reveal three dominant patterns: (1) a shift from the development of static learning media toward adaptive digital learning models grounded in TPACK and constructivist theories; (2) improved effectiveness of web-based learning in enhancing students’ motivation, participation, and learning outcomes; and (3) strengthened digital literacy and competence among teachers in designing and implementing interactive instructional materials. Furthermore, the review highlights existing research gaps in theoretical frameworks, methodological diversity, and geographical contexts, particularly in underrepresented non-technical vocational fields.Overall, this study concludes that the development of web-based interactive learning materials plays a crucial role in improving the quality of vocational education and provides a solid theoretical foundation for strengthening digital pedagogy and teacher competence policies. These findings serve as a valuable reference for future empirical research and contribute to the formulation of adaptive, technology-based vocational education policies in Indonesia.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in local economic development, yet they are often constrained by limited production skills and marketing strategies. This community service program aims to enhance MSME capabilities through training in making es pisang ijo and marketing strategies for the community of Jorong Ujung Padang, Nagari Tanjung. The activities were conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach with a Participatory Action Research (PAR) model. The stages of the program included socialization of MSME concepts and marketing strategies, practical training on making es pisang ijo (ingredient preparation, cooking, serving, and packaging), and promotion training through social media. The results showed that participants, particularly women and young women, were highly enthusiastic and actively engaged in discussions and practical activities. The program successfully improved participants’ knowledge and skills in producing es pisang ijo as well as their understanding of simple marketing strategies. The main conclusion of this program is that the community recognizes es pisang ijo as a promising business opportunity to increase household income and support local economic development, while also encouraging sustainable local potential–based economic independence that is adaptive to market demands. ABSTRAK UMKM berperan penting dalam pembangunan ekonomi lokal, namun sering terkendala oleh keterbatasan keterampilan produksi dan strategi pemasaran. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapabilitas UMKM melalui pelatihan pembuatan es pisang ijo dan strategi pemasaran bagi masyarakat Jorong Ujung Padang, Nagari Tanjung. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif menggunakan model Participatory Action Research (PAR). Tahapan kegiatan meliputi sosialisasi konsep UMKM dan strategi pemasaran, pelatihan praktik pembuatan es pisang ijo (persiapan bahan, pemasakan, penyajian, pengemasan), dan pelatihan promosi melalui media sosial. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peserta, khususnya perempuan dan remaja putri, sangat antusias dan aktif berpartisipasi dalam diskusi maupun praktik. Kegiatan berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam memproduksi es pisang ijo serta memahami strategi pemasaran sederhana. Kesimpulan utama dari kegiatan ini adalah masyarakat menyadari es pisang ijo sebagai peluang usaha yang menjanjikan untuk meningkatkan pendapatan rumah tangga dan mendukung pembangunan ekonomi lokal, serta mendorong kemandirian ekonomi berbasis potensi lokal yang berkelanjutan dan adaptif terhadap kebutuhan pasar.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Vocational education, particularly in the field of Electrical Installation Engineering, requires a high level of practical skills, including electric motor installation. However, limitations in practical facilities, safety risks, and limited student exploration time often pose significant challenges in conventional learning at Vocational High Schools (SMKs). This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Simurelay, an Android-based simulation media, as an alternative for practical electric motor installation learning. The method used is a systematic review of 10 relevant studies published between 2014 and 2025. Data were analyzed using content analysis to identify improvements in conceptual understanding, procedural skills, and students’ practical readiness. The review results indicate that Simurelay consistently enhances the ability to read control diagrams, understand current flow, master component functions, and develop troubleshooting skills. This media also reduces cognitive load, strengthens mental models, increases students’ motivation and confidence, and provides a safe practice environment without equipment damage risk. The use of Simurelay supports learner-centered learning, integrating principles of multimedia learning, inquiry-based learning, and constructivism. Thus, Simurelay proves to be an effective, adaptive, and relevant pedagogical tool for modern vocational education and has the potential to expand the transformation of technical learning in SMKs. Further research is recommended to develop more advanced simulation features, integrate VR/AR, and evaluate the long-term impact on graduates’ workforce readiness. ABSTRAK Pendidikan vokasional, khususnya pada bidang Teknik Instalasi Tenaga Listrik, menuntut penguasaan keterampilan praktis yang tinggi, termasuk instalasi motor listrik. Namun, keterbatasan sarana praktik, risiko keselamatan, dan rendahnya waktu eksplorasi siswa sering menjadi hambatan signifikan dalam pembelajaran konvensional di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Penelitian ini bertujuan menelaah efektivitas penggunaan Simurelay, sebuah media simulasi berbasis Android, sebagai alternatif pembelajaran praktik instalasi motor listrik. Metode yang digunakan adalah systematic review terhadap 10 penelitian relevan yang dipublikasikan antara 2014–2025. Analisis data dilakukan melalui content analysis untuk mengidentifikasi peningkatan pemahaman konseptual, keterampilan prosedural, dan kesiapan praktik siswa. Hasil review menunjukkan bahwa Simurelay secara konsisten meningkatkan kemampuan membaca diagram kontrol, memahami alur arus, menguasai fungsi komponen, serta keterampilan troubleshooting. Media ini juga menurunkan beban kognitif, memperkuat mental model, meningkatkan motivasi dan kepercayaan diri siswa, serta memungkinkan praktik aman tanpa risiko kerusakan alat. Penggunaan Simurelay mendukung pembelajaran learner-centered, mengintegrasikan prinsip multimedia learning, inquiry-based learning, dan constructivism. Dengan demikian, Simurelay terbukti menjadi media pedagogis yang efektif, adaptif, dan relevan untuk pendidikan vokasional modern, serta berpotensi memperluas transformasi pembelajaran teknik di SMK. Penelitian lebih lanjut disarankan untuk pengembangan fitur simulasi lebih kompleks, integrasi VR/AR, dan evaluasi dampak jangka panjang pada kesiapan kerja lulusan.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the industrial internship program implementation in the Industrial Automation Engineering Expertise Program at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Cileungsi. The evaluation was conducted using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model to obtain a comprehensive overview of the suitability of objectives, implementation readiness, internship process, and student outcomes. This study used a mixed-approach with a total sampling technique involving 50 students in grades XI and XII, as well as qualitative informants consisting of supervising teachers, industrial supervisors, and the head of the expertise program. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and qualitative analysis using the Miles and Huberman model. The results indicate that the industrial internship implementation has not been fully effective in supporting the development of students' technical competencies. The main problem lies in the mismatch between student placement and Industrial Automation Engineering expertise, resulting in many students not engaging in relevant work activities such as PLC programming, wiring panels, instrumentation, pneumatics, and industrial control systems. Instead, some students are placed in non-technical jobs that do not contribute to the improvement of automation skills. Nevertheless, the internship program still has a positive impact on the development of soft skills such as discipline, communication, and adapting to work culture. The study concluded that internship effectiveness would increase if the placement system were improved through student competency mapping, alignment with industry needs, and expanding partnerships with companies with work units in the automation sector. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas implementasi program magang industri pada Program Keahlian Teknik Otomasi Industri SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Cileungsi. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan model CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) untuk memperoleh gambaran menyeluruh terkait kesesuaian tujuan, kesiapan pelaksanaan, proses magang, serta hasil yang dicapai siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan campuran dengan teknik total sampling yang melibatkan 50 siswa kelas XI dan XII, serta informan kualitatif yang terdiri dari guru pembimbing, pembimbing industri, dan kepala program keahlian. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan analisis kualitatif model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan magang industri belum sepenuhnya efektif dalam mendukung pengembangan kompetensi teknis siswa. Permasalahan utama terletak pada ketidaksesuaian penempatan siswa dengan bidang keahlian Teknik Otomasi Industri, sehingga banyak siswa tidak terlibat dalam aktivitas kerja yang relevan seperti pemrograman PLC, wiring panel, instrumentasi, pneumatik, dan sistem kontrol industri. Sebaliknya, sebagian siswa ditempatkan pada pekerjaan non-teknis yang tidak berkontribusi pada peningkatan keterampilan otomasi. Meskipun demikian, program magang masih memberikan dampak positif pada pengembangan soft skills seperti kedisiplinan, komunikasi, dan adaptasi budaya kerja. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa efektivitas magang akan meningkat apabila sistem penempatan diperbaiki melalui pemetaan kompetensi siswa, penyelarasan kebutuhan industri, serta perluasan kemitraan dengan perusahaan yang memiliki unit kerja sesuai bidang otomasi.
