Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the industrial internship program implementation in the Industrial Automation Engineering Expertise Program at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Cileungsi. The evaluation was conducted using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model to obtain a comprehensive overview of the suitability of objectives, implementation readiness, internship process, and student outcomes. This study used a mixed-approach with a total sampling technique involving 50 students in grades XI and XII, as well as qualitative informants consisting of supervising teachers, industrial supervisors, and the head of the expertise program. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and qualitative analysis using the Miles and Huberman model. The results indicate that the industrial internship implementation has not been fully effective in supporting the development of students' technical competencies. The main problem lies in the mismatch between student placement and Industrial Automation Engineering expertise, resulting in many students not engaging in relevant work activities such as PLC programming, wiring panels, instrumentation, pneumatics, and industrial control systems. Instead, some students are placed in non-technical jobs that do not contribute to the improvement of automation skills. Nevertheless, the internship program still has a positive impact on the development of soft skills such as discipline, communication, and adapting to work culture. The study concluded that internship effectiveness would increase if the placement system were improved through student competency mapping, alignment with industry needs, and expanding partnerships with companies with work units in the automation sector. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas implementasi program magang industri pada Program Keahlian Teknik Otomasi Industri SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Cileungsi. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan model CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) untuk memperoleh gambaran menyeluruh terkait kesesuaian tujuan, kesiapan pelaksanaan, proses magang, serta hasil yang dicapai siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan campuran dengan teknik total sampling yang melibatkan 50 siswa kelas XI dan XII, serta informan kualitatif yang terdiri dari guru pembimbing, pembimbing industri, dan kepala program keahlian. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan analisis kualitatif model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan magang industri belum sepenuhnya efektif dalam mendukung pengembangan kompetensi teknis siswa. Permasalahan utama terletak pada ketidaksesuaian penempatan siswa dengan bidang keahlian Teknik Otomasi Industri, sehingga banyak siswa tidak terlibat dalam aktivitas kerja yang relevan seperti pemrograman PLC, wiring panel, instrumentasi, pneumatik, dan sistem kontrol industri. Sebaliknya, sebagian siswa ditempatkan pada pekerjaan non-teknis yang tidak berkontribusi pada peningkatan keterampilan otomasi. Meskipun demikian, program magang masih memberikan dampak positif pada pengembangan soft skills seperti kedisiplinan, komunikasi, dan adaptasi budaya kerja. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa efektivitas magang akan meningkat apabila sistem penempatan diperbaiki melalui pemetaan kompetensi siswa, penyelarasan kebutuhan industri, serta perluasan kemitraan dengan perusahaan yang memiliki unit kerja sesuai bidang otomasi.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited availability of practical facilities in motor installation learning at vocational high schools, which reduces students’ practice frequency and leads to suboptimal mastery of concepts and psychomotor skills, particularly in the Direct Online (DOL) motor starter topic. The focus of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of the SimuRelay digital simulation application as a learning medium for improving students’ learning outcomes on DOL material. The study employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design involving 32 students of class XI TITL 2 at SMK Negeri 8 Palembang. The research procedures included instrument preparation, implementation of simulation-based learning, administration of pretest and posttest, and psychomotor assessment using an observation rubric. Data were analyzed by comparing pretest and posttest scores and conducting descriptive analysis for the psychomotor domain. The results showed an increase in the average score from 61.6 on the pretest to 80.2 on the posttest, with all students (100%) demonstrating improvement. The highest score increased from 75 to 90, while the lowest rose from 50 to 60, indicating that SimuRelay-based learning had a uniformly positive impact on all students. Psychomotor observations revealed improvement in students’ understanding of contactor working logic, self-holding circuits, and troubleshooting steps. It is concluded that the SimuRelay digital simulation effectively enhances cognitive learning outcomes and supports the development of basic practical skills, making it a relevant alternative learning medium for schools with limited laboratory facilities. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keterbatasan sarana praktik pada pembelajaran instalasi motor listrik di SMK yang menyebabkan rendahnya frekuensi latihan siswa dan berdampak pada kurang optimalnya penguasaan konsep serta keterampilan psikomotorik, khususnya pada materi rangkaian Direct Online (DOL). Fokus penelitian ini adalah menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan aplikasi simulasi digital SimuRelay sebagai media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi DOL. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest yang melibatkan 32 siswa kelas XI TITL 2 SMK Negeri 8 Palembang. Langkah penelitian meliputi tahap persiapan instrumen, pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis simulasi, pemberian pretest dan posttest, serta penilaian psikomotorik melalui rubrik observasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan perbandingan nilai pretest-posttest serta analisis deskriptif untuk ranah psikomotorik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari 61,6 pada pretest menjadi 80,2 pada posttest, dengan seluruh siswa (100%) mengalami peningkatan skor. Nilai tertinggi meningkat dari 75 menjadi 90, sedangkan nilai terendah dari 50 menjadi 60, menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran melalui SimuRelay memberi dampak merata pada seluruh siswa. Secara psikomotorik, siswa menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan dalam memahami logika kerja kontaktor, alur self holding, dan identifikasi gangguan rangkaian. Disimpulan bahwa simulasi digital Simurelay efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif dan mendukung penguatan keterampilan dasar praktik, sehingga dapat menjadi alternatif media pembelajaran yang relevan pada kondisi sekolah dengan keterbatasan fasilitas.

Abstract

Sistem pelaporan pengaduan masyarakat di Kepolisian Daerah Sumatera Barat masih dilakukan secara manual, sehingga menyebabkan keterlambatan dalam proses penanganan, kurangnya transparansi, serta kesulitan dalam rekapitulasi data oleh admin. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, sistem informasi pelaporan pengaduan masyarakat dibangun melalui internet dan dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat, operator Polres, dan pejabat Polda Sumbar. Metode prototipe digunakan untuk membangun sistem ini, dan pendekatan UML (Unified Modeling Language) digunakan untuk perancangan sistem, bersama dengan framework CodeIgneter. Fitur utama termasuk registrasi & login user, formulir pengaduan online, validasi otomatis, upload bukti pendukung, dashboard monitoring, notifikasi status laporan, serta ekspor data ke PDF/Excel.

Abstract

Bank Sampah Kota Padang masih menggunakan sistem manual dalam proses pencatatan dan klasifikasi sampah, yang rentan terhadap kesalahan dan tidak efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah sistem aplikasi berbasis web yang terintegrasi dengan teknologi kecerdasan buatan, khususnya model deteksi objek YOLOv8, untuk melakukan klasifikasi otomatis jenis sampah melalui kamera. Sistem dibangun menggunakan framework Laravel untuk backend, Blade Template untuk frontend, serta Flask API untuk menghubungkan model deteksi. Fitur utama dalam aplikasi meliputi deteksi otomatis sampah, setor dan tarik saldo, manajemen data pengguna, serta riwayat transaksi. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa model YOLOv8 mampu mencapai nilai mAP sebesar 95% dengan precision dan recall yang tinggi untuk sebagian besar kategori sampah. Dengan demikian, sistem ini mampu meningkatkan efisiensi, akurasi, dan kecepatan dalam pengelolaan sampah digital, serta layak digunakan sebagai solusi modern dalam mendukung program bank sampah di Kota Padang.

Abstract

Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) atau gangguan kecemasan sosial yang ditandai oleh rasa takut berlebihan dalam situasi sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem pendeteksi gejala Social Anxiety Disorder pada mahasiswa menggunakan algoritma Fuzzy Tsukamoto berbasis web. Sistem ini memanfaatkan data hasil kuesioner berdasarkan indikator gejala kecemasan sosial yang diadaptasi dari instrumen Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). Proses inferensi dilakukan melalui tahapan fuzzifikasi, pembentukan rule base, inferensi fuzzy, dan defuzzifikasi untuk menghasilkan nilai crisp yang menunjukkan tingkat kecemasan sosial. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan adalah Waterfall, yang meliputi tahap analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Pengujian sistem dilakukan terhadap 20 responden mahasiswa. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu mengklasifikasikan tingkat kecemasan, yaitu tidak ada kecemasan, ringan, sedang, berat, dan sangat berat. Berdasarkan hasil validasi, diperoleh tingkat kesesuaian sebesar 90% antara hasil sistem dan hasil penilaian manual menggunakan metode HARS. Dengan demikian, sistem ini dapat digunakan sebagai alat bantu deteksi dini gangguan kecemasan sosial pada mahasiswa secara mandiri serta sebagai media pendukung pemantauan kesehatan mental di lingkungan kampus.

Abstract

This research was conducted to design and produce an electronic module (e-module) for CNC Programming that integrates a project-based learning (PjBL) approach with an immersive gamification strategy, optimized for use on Android-based devices. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) methodology, adopting the 4D framework consisting of the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. Data were obtained from expert validators, lecturers, and students to evaluate the e-module in terms of its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The validation results indicated that the e-module achieved excellent validity, with average scores of 0.917 for media quality and 0.950 for material quality. The practicality evaluation yielded ratings of 96.94% from lecturers and 91.90% from students, both categorized as very practical. The effectiveness test produced an N-Gain value of 0.69, which reflects a moderate improvement in students’ learning performance. Furthermore, the t-test analysis (Sig. 0.001 < 0.05; t-count 3.806 > t-table value) demonstrated a statistically significant difference between the experimental and control groups. Overall, the developed PjBL-based e-module with immersive gamification features was found to be valid, practical, and effective, serving as an interactive learning medium that fosters student engagement and aligns with 21st-century educational demands.

Abstract

Early detection of dental caries presents a significant challenge, particularly in regions with limited access to healthcare services. While many AI models focus on binary classification, real-world applications must handle irrelevant inputs to be robust. This study develops and evaluates a web-based system using a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) for a three-class dental image classification task: 'Caries', 'No Caries', and 'Not a Tooth'. The method employs transfer learning with the MobileNetV3 Small architecture, trained on a custom augmented dataset of 5,811 images. The model was implemented into an accessible web application using the Flask framework and OpenCV library, supporting both image upload and real-time detection. On the test set, the model achieved an overall accuracy of 93%. It demonstrated exceptional performance in rejecting irrelevant images and high reliability in identifying caries. This study presents a practical and robust tool for initial dental screening, highlighting the importance of a dedicated 'non-target' class for building trustworthy real-world AI applications in tele-dentistry.

Abstract

This study developed a web-based application for the classification and detection of tomato leaf diseases using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and You Only Look Once (YOLO) models. The research followed a Research and Development approach that consisted of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, model training, and testing. The CNN model was trained to classify tomato leaf images into specific disease categories, while the YOLO model was designed to detect and localize diseased areas in real time. Both models were integrated into a Flask-based web system to provide accessible and interactive functionality through standard web browsers. Testing results showed that the CNN model achieved an accuracy of 96.1%, effectively identifying disease types such as Early Blight and Bacterial Spot. The YOLO model reached a mean Average Precision (mAP) of 87.3% for real-time detection, successfully locating and labeling infected regions on tomato leaves. The integration of CNN and YOLO models demonstrated strong classification and detection performance, offering an efficient and scalable solution to support early disease diagnosis and digital transformation in precision agriculture.

Abstract

Pollution caused by the continued practice of dumping waste into the river and burning it has become a serious problem in Nagari Tanjung, Koto VII Subdistrict, and Sijunjung Regency. The community and village government have not felt sufficiently supported by the existence of a final disposal site (TPA), so residents—especially housewives—dispose of waste around the river, and some residents burn it. This has led to pollution and negative health and environmental effects. Therefore, a community service program was implemented that involved educating the community on waste management and hands-on practice in making ecobricks as a practical approach to utilizing plastic waste. The program ran for three weeks, from June 19, 2025, to July 10, 2025, in Jorong Ujung Padang, involving 44 participants from the beneficiary community members, nagari officials, and students. Throughout the implementation, the activities were guided and facilitated by two supervising lecturers. The stages included delivering material on the importance of waste management, training on Ecobricks production, and mentoring in applying environmentally friendly concepts. The results showed increased community awareness in managing plastic waste and the successful production of 100 ecobricks, which were used as garden elements.

Abstract

Administrative letter services at the village (nagari) level are still largely conducted using conventional methods, resulting in various issues such as limited service hours, slow processing times, and risks of document loss. This study aims to develop a web-based letter service system with the implementation of digital signatures in Nagari Bukit Bais to improve efficiency, security, and transparency of public services. The research adopts the Agile Development method with an iterative approach, including requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The developed system enables citizens to submit requests online and is equipped with features such as officer verification, digital signing by the village head, automatic notifications, digital archiving, and document verification using QR Codes. Security mechanisms are implemented using SHA-256 cryptographic hashing and RSA-2048 digital signature algorithms, supported by X.509 digital certificates. Functional testing using end-to-end methods shows that all system features operate successfully without failures, while non-functional testing confirms the reliability of document security and integrity. The resulting system is able to automate the entire service process, reduce processing time, and ensure document authenticity and security. Therefore, this system can serve as a solution to support the digital transformation of public services at the village level.
