Abstract

The community service program conducted at the "Bu Sila" Fish Bread SME aims to enhance the capacity and quality of fish bread production by implementing sustainable strategies within the framework of the green economy. This program was carried out over six months, from July 28 to October 20, 2024. The main focus of the program was to provide appropriate technology support, including a hygienic oven machine, fish bread molds, and corrosion-resistant worktables. The provided technology was designed to improve production efficiency, maintain product quality, and support environmental sustainability by reducing waste and energy consumption. With the assistance of a baking oven and stainless steel or corrosion-resistant composite molds, the business partner was able to increase production capacity by 30–50%. This program not only enhances the partner's market competitiveness but also promotes a transition toward more environmentally friendly business practices. This aligns with the principles of the green economy, emphasizing resource efficiency and reducing negative environmental impacts. Overall, the program offers a long-term solution to improve productivity, quality, and business sustainability while strengthening the market competitiveness of fish bread products in an increasingly competitive market.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dan informasi yang mengalami pertumbuhan cepat di Indonesia memberikan peluang bisnis bagi pelaku usaha, terutama brand lokal baik dalam skala besar maupun kecil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan strategi pemasaran dan meningkatkan volume penjualan brand lokal. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah pendekatan deskriptif melalui kajian literatur. Salah satu brand lokal yang sedang mendapat sorotan adalah Aerostreet, yang mengenalkan produk sepatu berkualitas dengan harga terjangkau melalui strategi branding yang efektif. Upaya pemasaran offline yang belum optimal mendorong Aerostreet untuk memperluas keberadaannya ke ranah digital. Seiring dengan adopsi pemasaran online melalui platform Shopee, terjadi lonjakan signifikan dalam volume penjualan produk Aerostreet. Selain menjangkau pasar domestik, kini Aerostreet juga mampu menembus pasar internasional.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh rata-rata lama sekolah, upah minimum, dan penanaman modal asing terhadap tingkat partisipasi angkatan kerja perempuan di Indonesia pada periode 2018-2023. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data panel yang menggabungkan data cross-section dari 34 provinsi di Indonesia dan data time series selama 6 tahun. Analisis regresi panel dilakukan dengan menggunakan fixed effect model (FEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata lama sekolah perempuan memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap tingkat partisipasi angkatan kerja perempuan, sementara upah minimum memiliki pengaruh negatif yang tidak signifikan. Penanaman modal asing tidak memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap partisipasi angkatan kerja perempuan. Hasil ini menunjukkan pentingnya peningkatan kualitas pendidikan perempuan dan kebijakan pengupahan yang lebih tepat untuk meningkatkan partisipasi perempuan di pasar tenaga kerja.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPengangguran tetap menjadi tantangan ekonomi utama di Indonesia, dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor makroekonomi seperti pengeluaran pemerintah, investasi asing, dan pertumbuhan jumlah penduduk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh ketiga variabel tersebut terhadap tingkat pengangguran terbuka di Indonesia pada periode 2015-2023 dengan menggunakan regresi data panel Fixed Effect Model (FEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengeluaran pemerintah dan investasi asing tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pengangguran terbuka, mengindikasikan bahwa belanja publik masih didominasi oleh pengeluaran rutin dan investasi asing lebih banyak mengarah ke sektor padat modal yang minim menyerap tenaga kerja. Sementara itu, pertumbuhan jumlah penduduk berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan tingkat pengangguran, mencerminkan kesenjangan antara pertumbuhan angkatan kerja dan penciptaan lapangan kerja. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya kebijakan yang mengoptimalkan pengeluaran pemerintah di sektor produktif, menarik investasi asing yang padat karya, serta meningkatkan keterampilan tenaga kerja untuk mengurangi pengangguran di Indonesia.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) has redefined the dynamics of adult and community learning, calling for curriculum models that combine technological adaptability with human-centered pedagogy. This study designs and validates an Adaptive Curriculum Framework for Nonformal Education (ACF-NE) grounded in digital andragogy principles, AI-based adaptivity, and community contextualization. Employing a Design and Development Research (DDR) approach, data were collected through document analysis, focus group discussions, and expert validation across five community learning centers and two vocational institutions in East Java, Indonesia. The iterative design process produced three core dimensions—(1) learner autonomy and experiential relevance, (2) AI-driven personalization and feedback, and (3) socio-cultural integration of community learning. Quantitative validation involving four experts yielded high consensus scores across relevance (M = 4.68), clarity (M = 4.41), feasibility (M = 4.37), and innovation (M = 4.42). Thematically, results indicate that AI can enhance adult autonomy when positioned as a facilitative partner rather than an instructional replacement. The final ACF-NE model integrates adaptive scaffolding with human mediation, establishing a co-learning ecology that aligns digital personalization with cultural responsiveness. This study contributes theoretically by extending andragogy into the AI era through the construct of contextual adaptivity, and practically by offering a replicable framework for human-centered digital transformation in nonformal education.

Abstract

Global climate volatility has created structural uncertainties threatening the supply stability of strategic commodities. This study aims to estimate the dynamic supply response of sugarcane in East Java to agro-climatic shocks and conventional production inputs over the 1995–2023 period. Using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach, this study models the market adjustment mechanism toward long-run equilibrium. Estimation results reveal that the sugarcane sector faces serious supply rigidity due to hydrological factors. Rainfall anomalies are identified as persistent negative supply shocks, triggering technical inefficiency due to waterlogging risks. On the other hand, the land area variable shows positive but inelastic elasticity, confirming the law of diminishing marginal returns on an aggregate scale. The finding that temperature and population variables are insignificant revises old theoretical assumptions, confirming that the sugarcane production function in tropical regions is more sensitive to hydrological constraints than thermal ones. The economic implication is that self-sufficiency strategies can no longer rely on high opportunity cost land extensification, but require investment reallocation towards climate risk mitigation technologies to improve supply curve efficiency.

Abstract

This review examines the role of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) in advancing sustainable and equitable transportation infrastructure. The findings highlight that clear governance frameworks and transparent regulations are central to building investor confidence and ensuring project success. Effective risk management strategies, such as demand forecasting and Build-Operate-Transfer models, enhance financial viability, while social inclusion and environmental sustainability can be strengthened through community engagement and green technologies. However, persistent challenges in developing countries—weak institutions, regulatory inconsistency, and economic instability—limit effectiveness. This review contributes by synthesizing comparative insights across global contexts and emphasizing the systemic factors that shape PPP outcomes.

Abstract

Informal employment remains a dominant livelihood source in developing countries, particularly in rapidly urbanizing cities where formal employment cannot absorb the growing labor force. Although informal workers contribute substantially to urban economies, they often face employment insecurity, unstable income, and limited social protection. This study explores the lived employment experiences of informal workers in Surabaya, Indonesia, focusing on their pathways into informal work, working conditions, responses to urbanization and digitalization, adaptation strategies, and perceptions of government support. Using a qualitative interpretive phenomenological approach, data were collected from ten informal workers across diverse occupations—street vending, transportation, construction, domestic work, waste collection, tailoring, and culinary microenterprise—selected through purposive maximum-variation sampling, and analyzed using interpretive phenomenological thematic analysis with reflexive interpretation to ensure credibility. Findings show entry into informal work is shaped by limited formal job access, economic necessity, job loss, and social networks. Workers experienced precarity marked by unstable income, irregular demand, rising costs, and weak legal protection. Urbanization expanded markets but intensified competition, while digitalization brought opportunities alongside new dependencies. Workers showed resilience through income diversification and household coping strategies. Labor Market Segmentation Theory, the Sustainable Livelihoods Framework, and resilience theory jointly explain these dynamics, informing policies for inclusive social protection and platform-worker regulation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh Jumlah Wisatawan, Akomodasi Hotel Bintang, Tingkat Penghunian Kamar Hotel, dan Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) terhadap Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD) provinsi di Pulau Jawa tahun 2020–2025, menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan data sekunder dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) dan Direktorat Jenderal Perimbangan Keuangan (DJPK). Data panel dari enam provinsi di Pulau Jawa selama periode tersebut dianalisis menggunakan Random Effect Model dengan koreksi robust standard error sebagai model terpilih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Jumlah Wisatawan dan Tingkat Penghunian Kamar Hotel tidak berpengaruh signifikan, sedangkan Akomodasi Hotel Bintang dan PDRB berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap PAD. Secara simultan, keempat variabel berpengaruh signifikan terhadap PAD dengan kemampuan menjelaskan sebesar 92,50 persen. Temuan ini selaras dengan urgensi mengatasi ketimpangan PAD antarprovinsi di tengah tingginya aktivitas ekonomi dan pariwisata Pulau Jawa, sehingga diharapkan dapat menjadi masukan bagi pemerintah daerah dalam merumuskan kebijakan penguatan kemandirian fiskal, optimalisasi sektor perhotelan dan pariwisata, serta pemerataan pembangunan ekonomi antarprovinsi.

Abstract

Business strategy is the direction of actions or a series of decisions that assist entrepreneurs in achieving specific goals. It is a combination of all the decisions made from the actions taken by entrepreneurs to achieve business goals and to secure a competitive position in the market. The increasingly fierce business competition during the pandemic has prompted companies to have the right strategies to excel in competition with other companies or to sustain their business. This research focuses on companies operating in the food, seasoning, and beverage processing industry, with PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk as the sample. Founded as PT Panganjaya Intikusuma in 1990, the company has engaged in various business activities since the early 1980s. This writing aims to determine how PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk executes its business strategy using SWOT analysis in business development. The SWOT method is employed to describe and select the right strategies for the company's competitiveness. The result is that PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk consistently develops its business with a focus on market strategy to ensure the company's well-functioning and stability amid increasingly intense competition.
