Abstract

Background: In MAN 1 Poso there are still students who have dropped out of school due to early marriage. Adolescent life is a life that is very decisive for one's future. Objective: to find out how students perceive early marriage in MAN 1 Poso, Poso Pesisir District, Poso Regency.Method: the type of research used in this study is a descriptive type research method. The population used in this study was MAN 1 Poso students i.e. 408 students. The sample in this study was 80 respondents, the technique of determining the sample by simple random sampling is a technique to select sample members from population members so that population members have the same opportunity to become sample members. Results: showed that MAN 1 Poso, based on the results of research on the cognitive aspects of respondents about early marriage in general was good for as many as 58 students (72.5%). Based on the results of research on the affective aspects of respondents showed as many as 44 students (55%) did not support early marriage. On the conative aspect, respondents stated that they did not agree with the existence of early marriage as many as 50 students (62.5%).Conclusion: Based on cognitive, affective, and conative aspects, the majority of respondents are well informed, do not support early marriage, and are not ready to face the condition. The researchers' suggestion is that the school will continue to provide counseling to students related to early marriage and conduct counseling by health workers and other related parties and the school will establish a youth counseling information center program.

Abstract

Background: Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive in children under five due to chronic malnutrition. Indonesia has a fairly high prevalence of stunting. The role of Posyandu cadres in preventing stunting through monitoring toddler growth requires knowledge so that they are good at early detection of stunting. Objective: knowledge and role of cadres in early detection of toddler stunting. Method: Descriptive research was conducted in the Lawanga Community Health Center Working Area from April to July 2020. The population of all cadres in the Lawanga Community Health Center Working Area with a sample of 35 people used simple random sampling. Results: There are 4 cadres with good knowledge and a role in early detection of stunting (100%). Cadres have sufficient knowledge and play a role in early detection of stunting, numbering 7 people (77.8%). There are 21 cadres who lack knowledge and play a role in early detection of stunting (95.5%). Conclusion: The role of cadres with less knowledge is greatest in early detection of stunting in toddlers. It is recommended that community health centers provide more information and motivation to cadres to take part in stunting early detection training programs.

Abstract

Rheumatoid arthritis merupakan salah satu penyakit autoimun yang berupa inflamasi arthritis pada pasien dewasa, seseorang yang menderita penyakit Rheumatoid Arthritis akan mengalami gejala berupa rasa nyeri pada bagian sinovial sendi. Berdasarkan data dari Puskesmas Mapane penderita rheumatoid arthritis tahun 2016 sebanyak 422 orang dan meningkat pada tahun 2017 menjadi 613 pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan teknik kompres hangat terhadap pengendalian level nyeri pada asuhan keperawatan gerontik dengan kasus rheumatoid arthritis. Metode dalam penelitian ini yaitu studi kasus pada penderita rheumatoid arthritis dengan tindakan penerapan teknik kompres hangat jahe untuk mengendalikan level nyeri. Hasil terdapat pengaruh kompres hangat jahe dalam menurunkan nyeri rheumathoid arthritis dari skala 6 menjadi skala 3. Terapi kompres hangat jahe dengan 3 kali pemberian pada pagi hari selama 1 minggu dalam waktu 20 menit dapat menurunkan nyeri lutut. Kesimpulan pemberian terapi kompres hangat jahe dengan 3 kali pemberian selama 1 minggu dalam waktu 20 menit dapat menurunkan nyeri lutut.

Abstract

Program Kelas Ibu Balita (KIB) merupakan salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu terkait kesehatan dan gizi balita, terutama dalam pencegahan stunting. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas KIB dengan media flipbook dan permainan edukatif ular tangga di Desa Lantojaya, Kabupaten Poso. Program dilaksanakan pada 11-12 Juli 2024 dan melibatkan 26 ibu balita. Metode yang digunakan mencakup edukasi melalui flipbook dan permainan ular tangga yang dirancang untuk mengajarkan perawatan kesehatan balita secara interaktif. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan ibu-ibu balita, dengan sebagian besar responden menunjukkan pemahaman yang baik tentang pentingnya pencegahan stunting dan penerapan pengetahuan di rumah. Namun, terdapat beberapa kesalahpahaman, terutama terkait frekuensi kelas dan keterlibatan ayah dalam kegiatan. Program ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu-ibu, namun evaluasi dan pengembangan lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi keluarga secara menyeluruh dan dampak jangka panjang terhadap kesehatan balita.

Abstract

Background: The worldwide issue of stunting, which is prevalent up to 20.5%, can have an impact on future productivity and health Objectives: to determine the risk factors and prevalence of stunting in children aged 0-23 months in Palu City, Indonesia. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional analytical design in eight sub-districts of Palu City (January-June 2024), involving 516 pairs of mothers and children aged 0-23 months. Data were collected by 20 enumerators under the supervision of the Health Office, through interviews related to breastfeeding, complementary feeding, infection history, and other variables as well as anthropometric measurements using length Board Measuring calibrated tools. The data were analyzed using univariate analysis, chi-square test bivariate, and logistic regression. Data collection is carried out through the Cobocollect platform. Results: Logistic regression analysis shows several important findings. Children of mothers with low education (OR=1.9), male children (OR=2.2), low birth weight (OR=3.1), and families with more than 3 children (OR=2.1) have a higher risk of stunting. Of the 516 children, 20.5% experienced stunting. These findings highlight the importance of maternal education, gender, birth weight, and number of children as risk factors for stunting, as well as their implications for health policies. Conclusions: Factors such as low birth weight, male sex, the number of children over three, and mothers' education of less than 9 years significantly increased the risk of stunting in children. Targeted nutrition interventions for mothers with low education and families with many children are essential to reduce the prevalence of stunting in Palu City.

Abstract

Stunting is a growth and development disorder in children caused by a lack of nutritional intake in the first 1000 days of life (HPK). It is a national issue requiring special attention from the government because stunting can hinder human resource potential and is linked to the health level of an area. Therefore, preventing stunting becomes a shared responsibility, with Posyandu cadres, as community representatives, playing an important role in implementing effective interventions to reduce stunting rates. This activity aims to broaden the insight of Posyandu cadres. Through this effort, it is hoped that Posyandu services will improve, leading to a reduction in stunting rates. The activity utilized the lecture and question-and-answer method. As a result, the average knowledge of Posyandu cadres increased from 42% to 100%.

Abstract

A prevalent experience among pregnant women is discomfort. Acupressure, a cornerstone of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), seeks to harmonize the body's energy flow through meridian points postulated to be interconnected with internal organs. This community outreach initiative sought to augment the capabilities of pregnant women and caregivers of infants/toddlers in self-acupressure and neonatal/infant acupressure within Lantojaya Village, Poso Pesisir District, Poso Regency. The methodology encompassed lectures, interactive question-and-answer sessions, discussions, and practical demonstrations. The outcomes revealed a discernible shift in participants' knowledge concerning acupressure principles and their proficiency in applying acupressure to specific part of body.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Perilaku bullying marak terjadi pada siswa sehingga mereka memelukan mekanisme koping untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Seperti halnya masalah lain tindakan perundungan (bully) juga memerlukan pertahanan secara psikologis. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara mekanisme koping individu dengan perilaku bullying pada siswa. Metode: dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Populasi : adalah semua siswa kelas X dan XI SMAN 1 Pamona Barat yang berjumlah 79 orang. Sampel : Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah total sampling yaitu semua siswa kelas X dan XI sebanyak 79 orang. Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapati siswa dengan mekanisme koping focused problem koping yang sering melakukan perilaku bullying sebanyak 39 responden (72,2%) dengan nilai p=0,030 ini menunjukan bahwa adanya hubungan mekanisme koping individu dengan perilaku bullying pada siswa di SMAN 1 Pamona Barat. Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian Hubungan Antara Mekanisme Koping Individu Dengan Perilaku Bullying Pada Siswa di SMAN 1 Pamona Barat didapati hasil banyaknya siswa yang menggunakan mekanisme koping problem focused coping yang melakukan tindakan bullying. Saran: Lebih ditingkatkannya hubungan kekerabatan di antara para siswa yaitu dengan menjalin hubungan kerjasama sehingga tidak ada prinsip senioritas yang berkembang di antara para siswa.

Abstract

Increasing citations and h-index are important indicators in assessing lecturer academic performance, which contributes to the reputation of higher education institutions. This community service activity aims to enhance the understanding and skills of lecturers and educational staff in optimizing strategies to increase citations and h-index through the Science and Technology Index (SINTA) platform. This activity was conducted in the form of a webinar using the Zoom Meeting application. The webinar included materials on scientific work promotion strategies, SINTA profile management, and academic metric enhancement techniques. Evaluation results showed an average increase in participant understanding of 37%. Participants also provided positive feedback on the relevance of the materials and the implementation methods. This activity had a direct impact on improving digital and academic literacy of lecturers, which has the potential to enhance the quality of scientific publications and institutional accreditation.

Abstract

Stunting is a serious health problem in Indonesia, which can affect the growth and development of children. The Family Assistance Team (FATS) has an important role in stunting prevention through education and nutrition monitoring. This study aims to assess the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of FATS in preventing stunting, as well as identify the challenges faced in the implementation of their duties. The research method used is a descriptive design with a quantitative approach, involving 35 FATSs working in 13 stunting locus villages in Sigi Regency. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire that measured the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of the FATS, and the data was statistically analyzed to get an overview of the characteristics of the respondents and the effectiveness of the FATS. The results show that FATS has a good understanding of stunting, but there is a need for improvement in terms of resource availability and training frequency. Most FATSs feel effective in their roles and are satisfied with the support provided by their respective organizations. Recommendations for continuous training and adequate logistical support were identified as key to improving the effectiveness of FATS in stunting prevention, providing important insights for the development of more effective stunting prevention programs at the village level.
