Ethical and medicolegal issues are widely know following in its implementation. Despite of that, telemedicine has several benefits. And because of this benefit, after the covid pandemic ended, telemedicine activities are still being carried out and favored by several types of patients. Therefore, a study is needed regarding the ethical, legal, and social issues related to telemedicine. Method: This study is a literature review related to telemedicine’s topic. Literature search was carried out on the pubmed and sciencedirect databases using keywords related to telemedicine. Literature included in the criteria will be reviewed and discussed following ethical, legal, and social issue (ELSI). Result: Most of 11 aspects of ethical, legal, and social issue (ELSI) are discussed in both of the literature such as : Quality of Care, Consent and Autonomy, Access to Care and Technology, Legal and Regulatory, Clinician Responsibilities, and Policy. 5 to 6 of these topic commented negatively in both literature, while only 4 topic commented positively. Conclusion: Both of these literatures provide information regarding the positive and negative aspects of teleconsulting. Even though negative comments and challenges related to ethical, legal, and social issues are discussed more, the positive aspects of telemedicine still exist and can be taken into account. The two studies encourage medical providers, government, clinical, patient, and other parties to establish a good telemedicine service.

Abstract

Introduction: Indonesia, like many other countries, has vulnerable groups and natives that are at higher risk for poor health outcomes due to social, economic, and health disparities. Health mitigation efforts targeting these groups are crucial to ensure equitable health outcomes in Indonesia. This literature review aims to assess the current evidence on health mitigation in vulnerable groups and natives in Indonesia. Methods: We conducted a comprehensive search of the literature using databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar. We searched using a combination of keywords and controlled vocabulary terms related to vulnerable groups, natives, health mitigation, and Indonesia to identify relevant articles. We included articles published from 2013 to 2023 that focused on health mitigation in vulnerable groups and natives in Indonesia. We excluded articles that did not focus on vulnerable groups or natives, were not related to health mitigation, or were not based in Indonesia. Results: Our search yielded 11 relevant articles, including both original research and review articles. The studies focused on a range of vulnerable groups and natives, including older adults, women, children, refugees, and transgender people. Most barriers that were faced were difficulty to access health care providers, financial constraints, lack of knowledge regarding certain health issues, and social and cultural factors. Most study found that community-based health interventions, such as providing health education and access to health services, were more likely to be effective in improving health outcomes among vulnerable groups in Indonesia. Conclusion: In conclusion, this literature review highlights the need for continued efforts to mitigate health disparities in vulnerable groups and natives in Indonesia. Community-based health interventions and tailored health programs show promise, but cultural and social barriers to healthcare access must also be addressed to ensure equitable health outcomes.

Abstract

Workplace nutrition interventions have become a popular approach to improving employee health and well-being. Nonetheless, such interventions require special attention to ethical aspects to ensure participant well-being, research integrity, and long-term benefits. A literature review was carried out using leading research databases, such as PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar. Keywords used include "ethical considerations", "workplace", "nutritional intervention", and "study". Only studies published within the last ten years were included in this review. Each study was analyzed to identify common ethical issues and actions taken to address those issues. The results of the review indicate that key ethical issues in workplace nutrition intervention studies include participant privacy and confidentiality, informed consent, balancing risks and benefits, and potential bias and conflicts of interest. Some studies suggest that employees may feel pressured to participate because of company policies or social expectations. Additionally, several studies revealed deficiencies in data protection and transparency regarding the use of participant data. From the results of the review, it is important to ensure that informed consent is provided clearly and free from pressure. Studies must also ensure the protection of participants' privacy and confidentiality. Furthermore, there is a need to carefully assess the risks and benefits of any nutritional intervention, as well as avoid potential bias in research design and implementation. This review suggests that ethics in studies of workplace nutrition interventions require significant attention. Best practices include strong informed consent, privacy protection, and careful risk evaluation.

Abstract

The impact of claims made by nutrition marketing has a major influence in shaping consumer behavior and influencing food choices, but there is a fairly complex ethical side that needs special attention. Claims that are often marketed are related to solutions to health problems, but often simplify information or manipulate consumer perceptions. This will lead to unrealistic expectations and misinformation. Ethical issues also arise in vulnerable groups, such as the elderly, people with disabilities, or groups with minimal access to literacy. This group will be most affected, because the accumulation of misinformation will be seen in old age, such as health problems. The emergence of unrest regarding claims made by the marketing department has raised concerns about which priority is profit or public health. It is important for policymakers to balance commercial profit with health and of course integrity and transparency to prevent misinformation. We used a systematic review procedure, the literature was reviewed to examine the impact of nutrition marketing claims on consumer behavior and food choices based on medical ethics. We selected journals in the last 10 years through the PubMed, Elsevier, ProQuest, and Google Scholar databases with keywords: nutrition, health, marketing. Journals that do not meet the keywords will be excluded from the review. The study has shown that, while nutrition claims may encourage some consumers to increase their nutritional knowledge and choose healthier options, they may also encourage consumers to increase their overall food consumption and energy intake. The study has shown that, while nutrition claims may encourage some consumers to increase their nutritional knowledge and choose healthier options, they may also encourage consumers to increase their overall food consumption and energy intake. This has the potential to undermine efforts to address health issues such as overweight and obesity. This study explores the factors that influence shopper attitudes, by examining the impact of demographic, socio-cultural and individual attitudes on health claims made through nutrition marketing.

Abstract

The field of specialized nutrition plays an important role in improving people's health and quality of life. Indonesia has various nutritional problems that need to be addressed, including malnutrition, overnutrition, and other nutritional disorders. The need for journals as a publication platform in the field of specialty nutrition in Indonesia is very important. The purpose of this study was to assess the need for journals as a publication platform in the field of specialty nutrition in Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The object of this research is the journal of Indonesian specialized nutrition (JISN). Data collection techniques in this study used literature study and interviews. The data that has been collected is then analyzed in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that JISN facilitates authors, academics, students, and health professionals to share their scientific work in the field of community and clinical nutrition, as well as other related fields including epidemiology, community nutrition, family medicine, health economics, and other public health research. The journal is also a platform to provide learning and recommendations in the field of specialty nutrition and related data for the development of good health practices for the people of Indonesia and the world. These needs are the basis for journal managers to improve the quality and reach of journals in the field of specialty nutrition in Indonesia.

Abstract

With the increasing participation of women in the workforce, the dynamics of motherhood, especially for mothers who breastfeed, have undergone significant changes. These changes have had considerable implications, prompting an exploration of the challenges and advantages women workers face to balance breastfeeding and their professional commitments. This comprehensive review delves into complex views on breastfeeding among working women. The main objective is to explain the benefits, barriers, and relevant strategies related to breastfeeding in the workplace, with the aim of providing insight into forming an effective support system. The benefits of breastfeeding while working, including decreased absenteeism, increased productivity, and decreased worker turnover rates, are powerful incentives. However, various challenges hinder this practice, including inadequate research, inadequate support on the part of employers, logistical problems such as distance between home and workplace, lack of lactation facilities in the workplace, and decreased milk production during working hours. The discussion emphasized the need for a strong lactation promotion model, consisting of seven essential components, tailored to strengthen breastfeeding support in the workplace environment. To facilitate successful breastfeeding for working mothers, it is recommended to provide options such as part-time work or early return for mothers with babies under six months, coupled with important company provisions such as dedicated lactation support staff, educational materials, and peer groups, which are crucial. The integration of occupational physicians in the proposed lactation promotion is an important step toward achieving high breastfeeding rates among female workers.

Abstract

Every year, there is an increase in the number of female workers in Indonesia, most of whom are of productive age. There are quite a few women who breastfeed. With the role of being both a mother and a worker, quite a few problems arise, one of which is the problem of exclusive breastfeeding as a working mother. Method: The literature search for this article review assignment was carried out during November 2023 by searching on the Google Scholar site and obtaining seven journals from publication years 2014 to 2022. From several journals that have been reviewed, it was found that working mothers who breastfeed have several challenges in providing exclusive breastfeeding, including internal, external, knowledge, and education factors. In terms of internal factors, it can be the stress experienced or the feelings the mother faces—external factors include lack of attention from the external environment. In terms of knowledge, many working mothers still do not understand the importance of breastfeeding while working. Meanwhile, in terms of education, it also influences exclusive breastfeeding among working mothers. Several factors and challenges working mothers encounter in providing exclusive breastfeeding can be prevented and overcome in several ways. This can be done by educating working mothers before and while breastfeeding. Moreover, it can also be used by companies where the mothers work to provide space and time for breastfeeding mothers who want to express breast milk at work.
