Abstract

Abstract: The research aimed to describe: (1) the tendency of preference career interest, (2) Personality types, (3) profile of the preference of career interest based on personality type, and (4) to test the correlation betweenthe career interest and the personality variable.the research used quantitative descriptive method. The subjects in this research were 108 students of class X IPA and IPS senior high school in Bengkulu City. The data collected using the inventory career interest inventory and personality type. The results of this reaserch are the students have different type of personality and career interests. The selection of students career interests of class XI senior high school is accordance with the type of personality of students, and there is a very high correlation between the type of personality with career interests of students. It is shown from the results of obtain hypothesis test P=0,00 then p<0,05, it is conclude there was a significant correlation between personality type with career interests.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to describe the effect of self control through group counseling on students’ aggressive behavior tendency. The method quasi experimental method with one group pre-test post test design. The subject was 6 students class VIII at SMPN 12 Kota Bengkulu who had very high and high aggressive behavior tendency. The technique of collecting data was questionnaire. The result showed that the students’ aggressive behavior decreased after giving self control exercise through group counseling. It was showed by the result of difference test Z = -2,201 (p<0,05).

Abstract

Abstract: This study was aimed to describe the students' fear perceptions toward the guidance and counseling teachers and to describe the effectiveness of reframing strategy in counseling group to help the reduction of students' fear toward the school counselor of SMA Negeri 1 Central Bengkulu. This study used quasi experimental research method with one group pre-test post-test design. The subject of this study was five students who were selected by purposive proportional sampling which have the highest score at the students' fear toward counselor' questionnaire. The analysis result showed that the students' fear toward the school counselor has deacreased after they got a counseling group by using reframing strategy, it could be seen on the result of processing data with the difference test score was z = -2.041, then p<0.05, sowas rejected. It means that the reframing strategy in counseling group was effective to decrease the students' fear toward the school counselor.Keywords: Reframing strategy, Students' fear toward the guidance and counseling teacher.

Abstract

Abstract: Semantic mapping has been demonstrated as practical teaching and learning technique for students at all grade levels. However, its use for speaking class has been relatively unexplored. The objective of this study is to investigate the influence of semantic mapping as a technique to improve students’ speaking ability. The research design of this study was quasi experimental design. The population comprised the seventh grade students of SMP Taba Renah, Musi Rawas in the academic year of 2015/2016 and the sample consisted of 44 students. The data were collected via test, observation and interview. In analyzing the data, for the pre-test it was found that there were not significant differences in speaking competence and its components in experimental and control class because P > 0.05. For the post-test, it was found that for total speaking competence P-value is 0.018, for vocabulary in speaking P-value is 0.001, for fluency in speaking P-value is 0.033, for pronunciation in speaking P-value is 0.060, and for grammar in speaking P-value is 0.348. So, there were significant differences in experimental & control class in vocabulary and fluency aspects because P < 0.05 but there were not significant difference in pronunciation and grammar aspects because P > 0.05. The finding shows that semantic mapping as technique is effective to be implemented in teaching English to improve students’ speaking ability, especially in vocabulary and fluency aspects but it is not in pronunciation and grammar

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research is to: (1) to described of emotional intelligence at SMKN 2 Bengkulu, (2) to described aggressive behavior at SMKN 2 Bengkulu, (3) to described correlations between emotional intelligence with aggressive behavior students of ten grade TM (Teknik Mesin) at SMKN 2 Bengkulu. This research was conducted at SMKN 2 Bengkulu with sample =50 students from total population (110) of students ten grade TM SMKN 2 Bengkulu . The method that used in this research was quantitative correlations design, analytical techniques that used are correlations product moment from Karl Pearson. The result of this research were found a strong negative correlations (with score rxy = -0,709) between emotional intelligence with aggressive behavior of adolescent student of ten grade TM (Teknik Mesin) at SMKN 2 Bengkulu.Keywords: emotional intelligence, aggressive behavior

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas penggunaan media manipulatif dalam meningkatkan proses dan aktivitas belajar siswa kelas IV A SD Negeri 1 Kota Bengkulu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa kelas IV A SD Negeri 1 Kota Bengkulu. Instrumen penelitian adalah human instrument, dengan menggunakan pedoman observasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan menelaah seluruh data yang didapatkan dari hasil observasi yang telah dicatat dan hasil dokumentasi, data yang telah diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan persamaan yaitu rata-rata skor, skor tertinggi, skor terendah, selisih skor, dan kisaran nilai untuk tiap kriteria. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu (1)meningkatnya aktivitas guru dengan nilai rata-rata siklus I 34,5 meningkat 38,5 pada siklus II dan mencapai kriteria baik. (2) meningkatnya aktivitas siswa dengan nilai rata-rata siklus I 33,5 meningkat 37,5 pada sikluS II dan mencapai kriteria baik.Kata kunci: media manipulatif, pembelajaran Matematika

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model siklus belajar 5E untuk meningkatkan aktivitas pelajaran matematika siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VC SDN 71 Kota Bengkulu tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 semester dua berjumlah 28 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah data kualitatif dari hasil observasi aktivitas siswa. Teknik analisis data diperoleh dari hasil observasi aktivitas siswa menggunakan skala skor, data yang telah diperoleh dari lembar observasi data diolah secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa: (1) penerapan model siklus belajar 5E yang tepat untuk meningkatkan aktivitas pelajaran matematika siswa kelas VC SDN 71 Kota Bengkulu dimulai dari kegiatan membuka pelajaran, kegiatan inti terdiri dari Engagement, Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration, And Evaluation, dan kegiatan menutup pelajaran; (2) model siklus belajar 5E dapat meningkatkan aktivitas pelajaran matematika siswa. Hal ini terlihat dari analisis terhadap aktivitas guru pada pelajaran matematika yang menunjukkan pada siklus I diperoleh nilai rata-rata skor sebesar 42 dengan kategori baik, kemudian meningkat rata-rata skor menjadi 50 dengan ketagori sangat baik pada siklus II. Sedangkan aktivitas siswa pada siklus I diperoleh nilai rata-rata skor sebesar 36,5 dengan kategori baik, kemudian meningkat rata-rata skor menjadi 47,4 dengan ketagori sangat baik pada siklus II.Kata kunci: Matematika, Aktivitas, Model Siklus Belajar 5E ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of the 5E learning cycle model to improve the activity of students' mathematics lessons. The type of research used in this study is classroom action research. The subjects of this study were students of VC SDN 71 Kota Bengkulu class year 2017/2018 semester two totaling 28 students. Data collection techniques used are qualitative data from observations of student activities. Data analysis techniques obtained from observations of student activities using a score scale, the data obtained from the observation sheet data were processed descriptively. The results of the study concluded that: (1) the application of the 5E learning cycle model is appropriate to improve the mathematics learning activities of students of SDN 71 Kota Bengkulu VC class starting from the lesson opening activities, the core activities consist of Engagement, Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration, and Evaluation, and activities close the lesson; (2) the 5E learning cycle model can improve students' mathematics learning activities. This can be seen from the analysis of the teacher's activities in mathematics which shows that in the first cycle, the average score is 42 in the good category, then the average score increases to 50 with a very good category in cycle II. Whereas student activity in cycle I obtained an average score of 36.5 with good category, then increased the average score to 47.4 with very good categories in cycle II.Keywords: Mathematics, Activity, 5E Learning Cycle Model

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh layanan penguasaan konten religiusitas terhadap peningkatan self-esteem siswa kelas VIII MTS Negeri 1 Kota Bengkulu. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan self-esteem skala. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII F yang memiliki tingkat self-esteem rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan layanan penguasaan konten religiusitas terhadap peningkatan self-esteem pada siswa. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan t = -11.987 (p<0,05). Ini berarti terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan layanan penguasaan konten religiusitas terhadap peningkatan self-esteem siswa kelas VIII MTS Negeri 1 Kota Bengkulu. Hasil tersebut selanjutnya dibahas.Kata kunci: layanan penguasaan konten religiusitas, self-esteem. ABSTRACT The study aimed to determine the effect the mastery of content religiousity to improved self-esteem in class VIII students of MTS Negeri 1 Kota Bengkulu. Data collected by self-esteem scale. The sample in this study is class VIII F who have low self-esteem levels. The results indicate a significant influence at the content religiousity mastery services forward students. The results of hypothesis testing result t = -11.987 (p<0,05). Abstract

Abstrak   Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan Alat Permainan Edukatif (APE) papan diagram dalam meningkatkan aktivitas pembelajaran matematika pada materi penyajian data dalam bentuk diagram. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VA SDN 71 Kota Bengkulu yang berjumlah 27 siswa.Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi aktivitas siswa dan guru. Berdasarkan hasil observasi siklus satu di perolah skor aktivitas guru sebesar 4,57 dengan kriteri sangat baik, sementara skor ativitas siswa secara klasikal diperoleh sebanyak 66% siswa berada pada kriteria aktif . Pada siklus dua skor aktivitas guru 4.88 dengan kriteri sangat baik, sementara skor aktivitas siswa secara klasikal si peroleh sebanyak88% siswa berada pada kriteria sangat aktif. Sehingga di peroleh kesimpulan skor aktivitas guru pada siklus satu mengalami peningkatan dari 4,57 menjadi 4,84 dengan kriteri sangat baik, sementara skor aktivitas siswa secara kelasikal mengalami peningkatan sebanyak 20% dari 66% menjadi 88% dengan kriteria aktif menjadi sangat aktif. Perhitungan tersebut menunjukan bahwa Alat Permainan Edukatif (APE) papan diagram dapat meningkatkan aktivitas pembelajaran matematika.Kata kunci: Penelitia Tindakan Kelas, Alat Permainan Edukatif, Aktivitas Siswa, Aktivitas Guru, Penyajian Data dalam Bentuk Diagram Abstrack This study is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) which aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of Educational Game Equipment (APE) board diagram in improving the activity of mathematics learning on the material of data presentation in the form of diagrams. The population of this research is all students of class of SD SDN 71 Kota Bengkulu which amounts to 27 students. Research instrument in the form of observation sheet of student and teacher activity. Based on result of observation of cycle one in get score of activity of teacher equal to 4,57 with criterion very good, while student's activity score is klasikal obtained as many as 66% student is in active criterion. In cycle two score activity of teacher 4.88 with very good criterion, while student activity score classically earn by 88% student is in criterion very active. So in conclusion the score of teacher activity in cycle one has increased from 4.57 to 4,84 with very good criterion, while student activity score classically increase as much 20% from 66% to 88% with active criteria become very active. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to describe empirically Relationship Between Academic Engagement With Student Achievement In Class X SMK N 1 Bengkulu. Population in this study is class x students of SMK N 1 Bengkulu 2013-2014 school year with 353 students. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling and obtained samples of 83 students. Data Academic Engagement in this study taken with questionnaire, whereas for learning achievement and intelligence taken using methods of documentation. Validity of the instruments test using Product Moment Correlation which then results are correlated with whole-part technique and reliability testing instruments using Cronbach Alpha. From the data processing with partial correlation analysis correlation coefficient obtained for rx1.y-x2 = 0,422 (p<0,05). It can be concluded that there is a positive relationship and significantly between academic engagement and student achievement.Keyword : Academic engagement, academic achievement, intelligence
