Abstract

This research was aimed to know the appropriate assessment, find out speaking’s authentic assessment material and find out the characteristics of authentic speaking assessment model for Mechanical Engineering of Vocational School. The type of research was Research and Development. This study was conducted in Mechanical Engineering subject at SMKN 2 Bengkulu City. The sample was taken from third class of Mechanical Engineering students. The data was collected by using questionnaire. The result of the study showed  that; first, the appropriate assessment for Mechanical Engineering students Section of Vocational School in SMK N 2 of Bengkulu city was Authentic Assessment. Second,  the researcher found 4 kinds of speaking’s authentic assessment for Mechanical Engineering. It can be clasified into role play, presentation, picture cued and debate. Third, the characteristics of authentic speaking assessment model for students and teachers of Mechanical Engineering at SMKN 2 of Bengkulu city were topic of assessment, social function  format, type of authentic assessment, instrument of authentic assessment, types of rating scale/rubric and times

Abstract

This study aimed to find out whether the use of Mnemonic technique affected the students’ vocabulary mastery. This study employed a quasi experimental design. The subject of this study comprised 64 students of grade XII science class of SMAN 9 Kota Bengkulu. The instrument of this study was a vocabulary test. The experiment class was taught by Mnemonic technique, while the control class by contextual learning. In the pre test there was no significant difference in mastery between the experiment class (mean=71,18) and control class (mean=68) with t count (0,1)< t table (df=62 sig 0,05). After the use of Mnemonic technique, in the post test, there was a significant difference in mastery between the experiment class (mean=73,51) and control class (mean=67,53), with tcount (1,99) > t table  (1,67), (df=62; sig. 0,05). It can be concuded that the use of Mnemonic technique was effective toward the students’ vocabulary mastery at grade XII-Science Students of SMAN 9 Kota Bengkulu.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find the effect of CORI (Concept-Oriented Reading Instruction)strategy on students’ reading comprehension. This reseach was focused on whether CORI  strategy affected students’ reading comprehension. This research employed a quasi-experimental design. The subjects comprised 48 students of grade VIII of SMPN 4 Kota Bengkulu, divided into two classes, the experiment and control class. The instrument was a reading test. The result showed that CORI strategy was effective to improvestudents’ reading comprehension. In addition, the students also had positive attitudes toward the use of CORI strategy. It is recommended to conduct an experiment for another school level

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh maraknya penggunaan aplikasi Tiktok dikalangan para siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh layanan konseling kelompok dengan teknik kontrol diri untuk mengendalikan kecanduan internet terhadap pengguna Tiktok siswa kelas VIII A di SMP Negeri 32 Bengkulu Utara. Metode penelitian menggunakan ekperimen dengan one-group pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII A di SMP Negeri 32  Bengkulu Utara berjumlah 28 orang. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 6 orang siswa diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengambilan data mengunakan kuisoner (angket) dengan skala model Likert. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan Uji t (paired sample test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan kecanduan penggunaan Tiktok pada siswa setelah diberikan konseling kelompok dengan teknik kontrol diri sebagai treatment. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai rata-rata skor sebelum diberikan treatment adalah 125,50 dalam kategori tinggi dan setelah diberikan treatment nilai rata-rata skor menjadi 97,00 dalam kategori rendah. Hasil Uji t menunjukkan nilai t=11.461 (p<0,05) jadi terdapat pengaruh signifikan terhadap penurunan kecanduan penggunaan Tiktok siswa menggunakan teknik kontrol diri. Kata kunci : Kecanduan Internet Terhadap Tiktok, Konseling Kelompok, Teknik Kontrol Diri.     EFFECT OF GROUP COUNSELING SERVICES WITH SELF-CONTROL TECHNIQUES TO CONTROL INTERNET ADDICTION                          ON TIKTOK USERS IN CLASS VIII A ATSMPN 32 BENGKULU UTARA ABSTRACTThe research was motivated by the widespread use of the Tiktok application among students. This study aims to describe the effect of group counseling services with self-control techniques to control internet addiction on Tiktok users of class VIII A students at SMP Negeri 32 Bengkulu Utara. The research method uses an experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study were all students of class VIII A at SMP Negeri 32 Bengkulu Utara totaling 28 people. The research sample amounted to 6 students taken by purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used a questionnaire (questionnaire) with a Likert model scale. The data analysis technique in this study used the t test (paired sample test). The results showed that there was a decrease in students' addiction to Tiktok after being given group counseling with self-control techniques as treatment. This is indicated by the average score before being given treatment is 125.50 in the high category and after being given treatment the average score is 97.00 in the low category. The results of the t-test showed the value of t=11,461 (p<0.05) so there was a significant effect on decreasing students' addiction to Tiktok using self-control techniques. Keywords: Internet Addiction to Tiktok, Group Counseling, Self-Control Techniques.

Abstract

There is a hypothesis that emotional competencies have indirect effects to the academic achievement through school engagement and a higher Academic success requires higher emotional competencies and school engagement. This study aimed to test the hypothesis. It utilized subjects consisting of 417 excellent students. Psychological scale (emotional competence scale), Advanced Progressive Matrices (APM) intelligence test and documen-tations were used for collecting the data. A Structural equation modeling of AMOS 6.0 was applied to analyze the data. The important result of this study supported the hypothesis and affirmed that emotional competence indirectly affects the academic achievement through the school engagement. Based on the result of this research, it was suggested that the efforts and interventions have to include the aspects of emotional competence and school engagement as integral parts of educational program in the school. Abstract

This study aimed to describe the effect of group counseling with deep breathing techniqueson students’ interpersonal communication anxiety. This study used an experimentalmethod with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study werestudents of class VII.2 SMP Negeri 1 Lebong, amounting to 32 students. The sample wasdetermined to be six students with a very heavy level of interpersonal communicationanxiety, using a purposive sampling technique. Data was collected using a questionnairewith the DASS (Depression Anxiety Stress Scale) measurement scale. Data were analyzedusing the t test (paired sample t-test). The results showed that there was a decrease instudents’ interpersonal communication anxiety levels after being given group counselingtreatment with deep breathing techniques. The results of hypothesis testing show the valueof t = 6,697 (p < 0.05). This means that there is a significant effect of treatment onstudents’ interpersonal communication anxiety with deep breathing techniques on studentsof SMP Negeri 1 Lebong.

Abstract

The academic field demands optimal learning in real contexts that have an impact on students in everyday life. That is, the learning material delivered can be applied and applied in real everyday life. In practice, students often experience various obstacles, one of which is academic burnout or often referred to as academic burnout. The application of Android-based BK learning media that has been developed in previous research produces the Edu-Cons application and is considered to be one of the learning media that can support and optimize the learning process in Android-based guidance and counseling. To overcome the problem of student academic burnout, information services are needed using the Edu-Cons application that has been made previously. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of academic burnout of students before and after being given information services using the Edu-Cons application. The research method used in this study is a pre-experimental design research. This research uses One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. with a population of 3rd semester students of the Counseling Guidance Study Program at the University of Bengkulu with a total sample of 32 people who were determined using a random sampling technique. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire instrument. Analysis of the data in this study using the Z test which shows the value of sig(2-tailed) P <0.05 so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is an effect of information services on optimizing the use of the edu cons application to reduce student academic burnout in guidance and counseling courses.

Abstract

Anxiety is a mental condition filled with worry and fear of what might happen, both related to limited problems and strange things. Anxiety caused by students will bring up problems related to motivation, achievement, and psychological impact. Anxiety experienced by students related to the academic burden, including in the preparation of the thesis is also called academic anxiety or academic anxiety. The purpose of this research is to: (1) describe the level of academix anxiety before being given group counseling services through poetry therapy techniques (2) describe the level of academix anxiety after being given group counseling services through poetry therapy techniques (3) the difference in levels of academix anxiety before and after given group counseling services through poetry therapy techniques. The research method used in this study is a pre-experimental design research. The sample in this study was 5th semester BK students who were indicated to have academic anxiety. This research uses One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The results of the study indicate that there is an effect of group counseling with poetry therapy techniques to reduce academic anxiety in students so that there can be a decrease in the level of anxiety experienced by students. This can be seen in the changes that occur from the results of the pretest and posttest with the average obtained before the action is 135 and after the action is given the average result is 97, supported by the results of the paired sample t-test hypothesis test which shows a significant value of 0.000 < 0.005. So from these results it was found that group counseling services with poetry therapy techniques were able to reduce academic anxiety experienced by BK students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi optimalisasi pembelajaran sains terapan dengan fokus pada teknologi ramah lingkungan di sekolah Malaysia dengan penekanan pada pengembangan keterampilan hidup guru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melaksanakan pembelajaran sains terapan konteks teknologi ramah lingkungan berbasis keterampilan hidup bagi guru sekolah di Malaysia. Kegiatan berupa penguatan dan implementasi pembelajaran sains secara kontekstual sebagai upaya pengembangan keterampilan hidup guru dengan aspek yang diukur berupa social, personal, dan specific skill.  Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah metode ceramah, diskusi, tanya jawab, eksperimen dan demonstrasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran sains terapan berbasis teknologi ramah lingkungan berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan social 85%, personal 90%, dan specific skill 80% dengan rata-rata peningkatan yang sangat baik setelah mengikuti implementasi pembelajaran sains secara kontekstual. Guru menjadi lebih percaya diri dalam menerapkan konsep teknologi ramah lingkungan serta lebih terampil dalam mengintegrasikan teori dan praktik di kelas.Tantangan yang dihadapi selama pelaksanaan program termasuk keterbatasan infrastruktur dan resistensi terhadap perubahan dalam metode pengajaran. Solusi yang diusulkan termasuk peningkatan infrastruktur teknologi dan pelatihan berkelanjutan yang lebih luas untuk guru, serta peningkatan sosialisasi program untuk mendukung keberhasilan dan keberlanjutan program. Optimization of Applied Science Learning in The Context of Environmentally Friendly Technology Based on The Life Skills of Indonesian School Teachers in Malaysia Abstract This research explores the optimization of applied science learning with a focus on environmentally friendly technology in Malaysian schools with an emphasis on developing teachers' life skills. The aim of this research is to implement applied science learning in the context of environmentally friendly technology based on life skills for school teachers in Malaysia. Activities include strengthening and implementing contextual science learning as an effort to develop teachers' life skills with aspects measured in the form of social, personal and specific skills.  The methods used in this training activity are lecture, discussion, question and answer, experiment and demonstration methods. The results of the research show that the implementation of applied science learning based on environmentally friendly technology succeeded in increasing social skills by 85%, personal skills by 90%, and specific skills by 80% with a very good average increase after following the implementation of contextual science learning. Teachers became more confident in applying environmentally friendly technology concepts and more skilled in integrating theory and practice in the classroom. Challenges faced during program implementation included limited infrastructure and resistance to changes in teaching methods. Proposed solutions include improved technology infrastructure and broader ongoing training for teachers, as well as increased program outreach to support program success and sustainability.
