Abstract

The impact of technological developments on the structure of human life is so broad that it has contributed to making changes in various fields, one of which is the economic field. MSMEs as one of the business categories in the economic field are also required to keep abreast of technological developments in order to be able to expand product marketing. MSMEs RW 09 Menur Pumpungan Village as a partner of the 77 KKNT group MBKM UPN "Veteran" East Java is an MSMEs engaged in the food and beverage sector which is still conventional in its marketing efforts so branding and digital marketing are needed. Therefore, the 77 MBKM KKNT group provided counseling and branding assistance with digital marketing which in its method consisted of two stages, namely the implementation stage (FGD, surveys, interviews) and the implementation stage (training and mentoring). The results obtained were that the owners of MSMEs RW 09 felt enthusiastic and attended the counseling given and the 77 MBKM KKNT group successfully provided assistance in the form of product photos, making logos and catalogs, creating Whatsapp Business, and creating Gojek accounts for food pick-up services within Gofood.

Abstract

Abon merupakan salah satu jenis makanan kering berbentuk khas yang dibuat dari bahan daging atau ikan yang direbus lalu disayat-sayat, dibumbu, lalu digoreng. Abon Bandeng merupakan salah satu jenis abon yang berbahan dasar dari ikan bandeng. Pelatihan pembuatan abon bandeng ini dilakukan oleh kelompok 5 KKNT Bela Negara SDG;s Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk menyampaikan proses pembuatan abon bandeng. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di Balai RW 08 Keputih, Sukolilo, Kota Surabaya. Kegiatan ini melibatkan ibu-ibu PKK RT 04/RW 08 Kelurahan Keputih dalam pelatihan pembuatan abon bandeng. Hasil dari pendampingan pembuatan abon bandeng ini adalah ibu-ibu PKK dapat membuat serta memngetahui proses pembuatan produk olahan abon bandeng yang sebelunya belum pernah diolah menjadi produk ini. Pelatihan pembuatan abon bandeng dapat menjadi sarana edukasi bagi ibu-ibu PKK untuk menambah jenis/produk olahan ikan bandeng. Produk abon bandeng diharapakan dapat menjadi salah satu produk unggulan di Kelurahan Keputih Kota Surabaya.

Abstract

Keputusan Pemerintah yang menetapkan Covid-19 sebagai bencana nasional turut memengaruhi kebijakan penanganan bencana di daerah, terutama di Kota Surabaya. Kebijakan Walikota Surabaya, Tri Rismaharini seringkali diberitakan media online sebagai ajang pertaruhan kepentingan kepala daerah. Studi ini berupaya menggali peran pemimpin perempuan dalam mengatasi Covid-19 dan kebijakan penanganan di saat pandemi. Berita dua media online, Kompas.com dan Detik.com, dikumpulkan sepanjang Mei-Oktober 2020 untuk dianalisa dengan menggunakan metode framing model Entman. Tujuannya untuk memahami penggambaran performa pemimpin perempuan yang ditonjolkan dalam proses pemberitaan, penggunaan argumentasi, memperkuat pemberitaan serta menemukan dan menyelesaikan setiap permasalahan terkait virus Corona. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa Detik.com dan Kompas.com menggambarkan Tri Rismaharini dalam penanganan Covid-19 secara kompeten dan memenuhi syarat untuk penyebaran informasinya melalui portal berita. Detik.com membingkai beberapa informasi dengan kesan tidak memihak pada siapapun dan natural dalam menyampaikan informasi serta isu-isu yang diangkat. Sedangkan Kompas.com sangat memperhatikan dalam menentukan siapa narasumber yang dipilih untuk memperkuat informasi yang dipaparkannya.

Abstract

Micro, small and medium enterprises or MSMEs play an important role in improving the economy of a region and the country's economy. However, in the production cycle, processed food requires prerequisites that must be considered because its quality is easily damaged. One of the factors that often results in defects in MSMEs processed food products is the lack of concern for food safety. The method used in this service activity is counseling. The result of this counseling is that MSMEs actors in Klampis Ngasem Village, Surabaya City know the use of food added ingredients and hazardous materials in food. The purpose of this service activity is to educate MSMEs in Klampis Ngasem Village, Surabaya City about the importance of using food preservation and packaging technology extend the shelf life of the product while still complying with food safety regulations. so that MSMEs actors can make food products that are safe, competitive, of good quality, and have high selling value.

Abstract

Mosquito-borne diseases such as dengue fever, Zika, and malaria pose significant health threats in Indonesia, particularly in tropical areas like Gedangan Village, Jombang Regency. To reduce the risk of disease transmission, students of the Thematic Community Service Program (KKN) from Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Jawa Timur utilized lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) as the main ingredient in the production of mosquito repellent spray. This program aims to provide a safer and more environmentally friendly alternative compared to chemical-based products. The training and socialization conducted in Gedangan Village increased the community's understanding of the benefits of lemongrass and how to produce natural mosquito repellent spray. The results of this program show that lemongrass-based spray is effective as a mosquito repellent and can be a long-term solution in reducing dependence on chemical insecticides. The sustainability of this program is expected to be expanded to other villages, with support from the government and related institutions to strengthen its positive impact on public health and the environment.

Abstract

Bullying has long been a part of school life and is an issue that has a negative impact on children's growth and development. This research aims to increase awareness about bullying through outreach carried out at SD Negeri Gondek, Jombang, East Java. This socialization was carried out in the context of the Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN-T) program to provide education to class IV and V students about the dangers of bullying and the importance of creating a safe school environment. The results of the socialization show that students' understanding of bullying has increased significantly, whereas previously most students were not aware of the impact of this action. This program was successful in changing students' perceptions and encouraging their active participation in preventing bullying at school. The success of this initiative highlights the importance of collaboration between schools, teachers, parents and students in ongoing efforts to create inclusive and safe environments. Regular evaluation and further development of supporting programs is highly recommended to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of this program.

Abstract

Musuh Masyarakat podcast is a comedy podcast accessible through application called NOICE. The type of comedy featured in featured in this podcast is satire comedy. Satire comedy is a form of humor that includes sarcasm directed toward a subject by representing its flaws or mistakes. Satire comedy is a means of conveying social criticism that is considered to minimize the occurrence of offense. Satire comedy in this podcast is intended to provide constructive criticism and facilitate beneficial discussion. However, satirical comedy employs figurative expression and contains irony that can be interpreted freely by the audience. This can lead to misunderstandings that may result in offense. The purpose of this study is to determine how Generation Z accept satire comedy on the episode 109 of Musuh Masyarakat podcast "Pejabat Tidak Perlu Ramah". The method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used are in-depth interviews and documentation. This research uses Stuart Hall's Encoding-Decoding reception analysis model. The results show that the reception among informants varied, but there were no informants who completely rejected that satire comedy is a means of conveying social criticism that can minimize offense, provide constructive criticism, and provide a space for beneficial discussion. Factors of life experience, culture and religious beliefs influence the variety of meanings and acceptance of informants.

Abstract

MSMEs or Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises are one of the factors that help improve the economy in Indonesia, both the micro and macro economy. Currently, there are many people who have MSMEs with various kinds of creative products that are sold. However, the development of MSMEs has experienced several obstacles, one of which is the lack of knowledge of MSME actors in utilizing information and communication technology that has developed, such as lack of knowledge about product branding. Branding is an attempt to produce an impression that attracts consumers. Lack of branding efforts can make MSME products less competitive in the market. For this reason, in an effort to develop MSMEs in Bulak Banteng through a digital-based branding strategy, this community service activity is carried out in several stages, namely counseling, training and mentoring, and the last stages is evaluation. From this activity, it is known that several MSMEs, namely Rumah Batik Jawa Timur, Mie Ramingkem, Pawone Mamiku, and UMKM Sumberejo have understood how important branding is for a product, this can be seen from the use of social media which has been better than before

Abstract

Waste management is one of the main challenges in Latsari Village, Jombang, East Java, which has an impact on environmental cleanliness and public health. This research aims to develop innovations in making waste cans from used gallons as a practical and sustainable solution for waste management in the village. The method used involves collecting used gallons, designing functional garbage cans, and socializing to the community regarding the importance of waste sorting. The results of the study show that the waste cans from used gallons are able to increase public awareness of the importance of environmental cleanliness and reduce the volume of scattered waste. In addition, this initiative also provides added value through the use of plastic waste that was previously not used. In conclusion, this innovation is not only effective in improving waste management in Latsari Village, but also has a positive impact on the environment and society. The broader implementation of this program has the potential to be a model that can be applied in other regions with similar challenges.

Abstract

Biobriquettes are solid alternative fuels in the form of biochar made from carbon materials, with high calorific value content and long combustion power. This activity was c arried out by a group of students who adjusted the production process to field problems, including socialization and training in making charcoal briquettes from rice husks in Latsari Village, Mojowarno District, Jombang Regency. The researcher carried out direct observation in Latsari Village to understand the situation and problems they faced, especially in the field of rice fields. Biobriquettes made from organic waste with additional adhesives offer a more sustainable and economical alternative to firewood. The introduction and training program activities for making charcoal briquettes from rice husks were successfully carried out in Latsari village in line with the plans and targets that have been set. Through this activity, rural communities can utilize rice husk waste to produce products that not only reduce pollution but also increase income.
