Abstract

Low awareness and coverage of complete basic immunization among under-five children in Nibong Village remains a pressing public health issue. This study evaluated a community-based, visual–participatory education program designed to improve immunization awareness among mothers/caregivers. Over four weeks, 35 caregivers attended interactive counseling supported by co-created visual materials (leaflets, posters, participatory aids) and cadre training. Data were collected using a brief pre–post questionnaire (knowledge, myths/beliefs, intention to attend posyandu) and qualitative observations. Descriptive analysis showed an increase in maternal knowledge from 28.6% to 71.4% and higher engagement with immunization services. Reported completion of basic immunization increased from 14% to 86% (self-reported; verification recommended via child health cards or posyandu records). Qualitative insights indicated that locally adapted visuals, cadre facilitation, and familiar language enhanced comprehension and trust. A visual–participatory, community-based approach is feasible and promising for strengthening immunization awareness and participation. Wider adoption should include objective verification of coverage and longer follow-up.

Abstract

Abstract

Classroom Action Research was carried out at SD Negeri 4 Meurah Dua with a research subject that focused on grade V students totaling 22 students. This research is based on the low learning outcomes of students in memorization. Based on the initial observations made previously, the learning process carried out by the previous students was to memorize themselves individually without the guidance of the teacher, so that students were less courageous and confident in the results of their memorization. Another factor that becomes a problem in the memorization process is the lack of repetition. Therefore, the tikrar method is very suitable in an effort to improve the memorization ability of students of the Quran letter Ash-Shams in Class V of SD Negeri 4 Meurah Dua, Pidie Jaya Regency, Academic Year 2024/2025. The implementation of learning has also increased, namely in the first cycle it reached 45.45% and in the second cycle it increased to 86.36%. Based on these results, the application of the tikrar method to the material of the Qur'an surah Ash-Shams showed an increase in student learning outcomes. Likewise, the results of observation, in the first cycle 83% were obtained and in the second cycle it increased to 92.22%. The level of success of student activities based on the observations of the two observers is included in the very good category.

Abstract

This research aims to highlight a core element in an Islamic Communication principle as the Basic Principle, namely the Principle of Divinity, which originated by Zainal Arifin (2021). He intends to signify the existence of the value of God as its principle. He also notes that God is the Basic Principle of Islamic Communication, the core element referring to the spiritual dimension. It is exciting to discuss because during this time, generally, Islamic Communication scholars or experts only stress the normative aspects as ethics without alluding to the spiritual size. They dominantly discuss the ethical to do as Moslems in daily communication with others. One of which is Hamid Mowlana (1996 and 2007), in a previous period highlighting tauhid as the principle, but still, the substance does not describe the spiritual dimension of the Creator. Accordingly, this qualitative research was designed by the library method analyzing some kinds of literature or references to reinforce the view that the basic divinity principle is the Principle of Islamic Communication. Among them is the literature from Zainal Arifin's thoughts, where he clearly explains that the Basic Principles of Islamic Communication are based on the Principles of God. Then the foundations of the Principles of God give birth to reflections in the Muslim community's daily lives. As a result, this research shows that the Divine Principle, where Allah as The Creator, is an absolute element that must exist in every sequence of existing communication elements. This is proven by several sayings of Moslems in their lives reflecting such conditions as the analysis of this study.

Abstract

The development of the soul is a crucial aspect in shaping human personality from an Islamic perspective. The Qur'an, as the holy book of Islam, contains various principles and guidelines for forming a balanced, purified, and morally upright soul. This study aims to examine the concept of soul development based on the Qur'an, with reference to the thematic interpretation found in the book Fiqhu Bina al-Insan fil Qur’an by Kifah Abu Hanud. This study employs a qualitative approach through a library research method to examine Qur'anic verses related to soul development, as well as to analyze the interpretations and conceptual frameworks presented by the author. The findings indicate that the concept of soul development in the Qur’an includes the purification of the soul (tazkiyah al-nafs), the formation of noble character, the strengthening of faith, and the struggle against base desires through mujahadah. The interpretation offered by Kifah Abu Hanud presents an integrative and contextually relevant framework in exploring Qur’anic values that are applicable to contemporary human needs. Thus, this study is expected to contribute academically by deepening the understanding of human development from a holistic Qur’anic perspective.

Abstract

This research investigates the role of multicultural da'wah in promoting religious tolerance through the Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB) in Medan City. Amidst significant ethnic and religious diversity, FKUB plays a crucial role in facilitating interfaith dialogue and preventing potential conflicts. The study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing in-depth interviews and participatory observations of FKUB members and the Medan community. The findings demonstrate that FKUB's multicultural preaching effectively fosters understanding and respect for religious differences. In Medan City, FKUB's efforts have successfully created an environment supportive of tolerance and respect for religious diversity. This achievement is evidenced by the Religious Piety Index rising from 82.52 in 2020 to 83.92 in 2021, and a harmony index of 76.3 in 2023, surpassing the national average of 73.83. Through an inclusive approach, active participation, and educational initiatives, FKUB significantly contributes to shaping an inclusive and harmonious society. These findings lay a crucial foundation for developing multicultural proselytization strategies in other communities aiming to achieve similar goals.
