Abstract

Dayeuhkolot Sub-district is an area which prone to the flood disaster. For decades, the regional has been flooded in every rainy season. There are several things that caused the flood disaster in Dayeuhkolot Sub-district, such as due to the existence of its territory which is between Citarum River Basin (Citarum) and Cikapundung River, the planning of the less good area and many piles of garbage. The flood disaster will certainly result in many losses, either loss of property, psychological or loss of life. However, it is expected with the cooperation of many various elements, the loss can be minimized. One effort that can minimize the effects of this flood disaster is by the dissemination of disaster information. The dissemination of disaster information should empower the various communications networks that exist in the community so that the public will be more concerned about the various disaster that might befall them and prepare for the possibility of the disaster. The activities undertaken to achieve this goal is through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and counseling. FGD was conducted by inviting the resource persons from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), village and sub-district officials, disaster volunteer and other elements in Dayeuhkolot Sub-district. FGD and counseling was attended by 16 representatives from Dayeuhkolot sub-district, 1 source from BPBD and 5 PPM Priority Team from Fikom Unpad. All FGD participants and counseling are active in responding and entering on the issues related to the disaster information dissemination. The result of this PPM activity become an entry for BPBD in increasing the community participants, especially for those who are the members of community communication network nodes to play a role in disseminating disaster information. BPBD will also convey this input to the related parties in order to empower the community communication network more optimally.

Abstract

Kampung Naga, also called Naga Village, is a customary community that still preserves the traditions of their ancestors, which in this case is the Sundanese culture. They live adjacent to nature, believe that it is a gift from God, and based on this concept, they consider natural disasters as causes of bad human behavior. This belief exists because the village does not only live in nature but with it as well, and as a customary community, they have their ways of managing it. Therefore, this research aims to determine the myths and ethos associated with environmental communication activities. It also tries to identify the role of traditional leaders in transmitting cultural values to the younger generation through these activities. The results showed that the Naga Village community uses myths and ethos for environmental communication through the Pamali concept and by living with nature. They are also good role models in inheriting values, which become tools to awaken the community and the young generation, and these are often conveyed at traditional events as manifestations of their beliefs in nature. The inheritance of values by the younger generation is performed through the enculturation process to develop customs that will later become social controls in the community.

Abstract

The Department of Tourism and culture of Majalengka Regency uses social media as one of the strategies to increase tourist visits in Majalengka Regency. This study aims to determine how the tactics paid media, earned media, shared media and owned media used Disparbud Majalengka to promote tourist destinations on social media.. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive. Focus describes the stages of PESO tactics (Paid Media, Earned Media, Shared Media, and Owned Media) from the concept of ROSTIR Regina Luttrell. Data were collected from interviews, observations and literature studies. Data validity techniques using source triangulation. The results showed that, 1) Disparbud Majalengka has not done Media paid tactics due to cost constraints budgeted by the government; 2) Disparbud Majalengka using earned media tactics although not fully done by Disparbud Majalengka; Instagram Facebook 3) Disparbud Majalengka often shares, creates and promotes content created by the team as well as from followers; 4) Disparbud Majalengka owns and maintains official social media among Instagram, Facebook, Youtube and Twitter. Abstrak Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Majalengka menggunakan media sosial sebagai salah satu strategi untuk meningkatkan kunjungan wisata di Kabupaten Majalengka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana taktik paid media, earned media, shared media dan owned media yang digunakan Disparbud Majalengka untuk mempromosikan destinasi wisata di media sosial. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Fokus menjabarkan tahapan taktik PESO (Paid Media, Earned Media, Shared Media, dan Owned Media) dari Konsep ROSTIR Regina Luttrell. Data dikumpulkan dari hasil wawancara, observasi dan studi pustaka. Teknik validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, 1) Disparbud Majalengka belum melakukan taktik paid media dikarenakan kendala biaya yang dianggarkan pemerintah; 2) Disparbud Majalengka menggunakan taktik earned media walaupun tidak sepenuhnya dilakukan oleh Disparbud Majalengka; 3) Disparbud Majalengka kerap membagikan, membuat dan mempromosikan konten yang dibuat tim maupun dari pengikut; 4) Disparbud Majalengka memiliki dan mengelola media sosial resmi diantara Instagram, Facebook, Youtube dan Twitter.

Abstract

Abstract This research uses quantitative method of correlational research type. The theory used is Martin Fishbein's Information Integration Theory. The analytical technique used is descriptive analysis by calculating frequency, categorization, and rating scale, as well as inferential analysis using rank spearman formula. The sample of this research is 62 people from 794 participants of activity taken by way of proportional strata sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that the significant relationship between Citarum Bestari and the participants' attitude to the five movements is not. Based on the result of the research, the researcher suggested that the information about the achievement of programs that have been done by government for normalization of Citarum River must be proven through photo, video or coverage of Citarum River improvement so that the participants believe any information submitted, then information in Citarum Program Bestari uses a pyramidal system, where information provides the best arugemtation at the beginning and end of the sentence, so that the participants give attention to the extension material from beginning to end, as well as the information in the Citarum Bestari Program also presents two-sided arguments, namely the government's shortcomings and government strength in the realization of the Citarum River normalization project, in order for the participants to trust the information conveyed as a truth  AbstrakPenelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif jenis penelitian korelasional. Teori yang digunakan adalah Teori Integrasi Informasi dari Martin Fishbein. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dengan menghitung frekuensi, kategorisasi, dan rating scale, serta analisi inferensial dengan menggunakan rumus rank spearman. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah 62 orang dari 794 peserta kegiatan yang diambil dengan cara teknik sampling strata proporsional. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terhadap hubungan yang cukup berarti antara kegiatan Citarum Bestari dengann sikap peserta terhadap gerakan lima tidak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti menyarankan agar informasi mengenai pencapaian program-program yang sudah dilakukan oleh pemerintah untuk normalisasi Sungai Citarum harus dibuktikan melalui foto, video, atau liputan dari perbaikan Sungai Citarum tersebut agar para peserta meyakini setiap informasi yang disampaikan, kemudian informasi dalam Program Citarum Bestari menggunakan sistem piramidal, yaitu dimana informasi menyajikan arugemtasi paling baik di awal dan akhir kalimat, agar para peserta memberikan perhatian pada materi penyuluhan dari awal hingga akhir, serta informasi dalam Program Citarum Bestari juga menyajikan argumentasi dua-sisi, yaitu kekurangan pemerintah serta kekuatan pemerintah dalam realisasi proyek normalisasi Sungai Citarum, agar para peserta mempercayai informasi yang disampaikan sebagai suatu kebenaran. Keywords: Teori Integrasi Informasi, Sungai Citarum, Pemprov Jabar, Gerakan Lima Tidak

Abstract

Abstract Since the 1998 reformation, the freedom of expression and political participation of citizens has been real and dynamic. Understanding and awareness of the importance of democracy as political education, especially in the Virtual Age, is increasingly becoming a challenge. The Santri, as the next generation, have a strategic role in the continuation of democratization in Indonesia. The method of activities on Virtual Era Democracy Literacy is carried out through the Online method with Problem Based Learning and Brainstorming techniques, through assistance of Community Service Program. The results of the activity show that the Literacy of Virtual Era Democracy provides benefits in increasing insight and understanding of democracy, especially in the virtual era. The Santri felt happy and enthusiastic about this activity, because online experiences provided a new atmosphere in the digital era. Changing the attitudes and new behavior in the digital domain regarding democracy need to be discussed continuously as an adaptation to new habits. Key Word: Literation, democracy, virtual , santri

Abstract

Online Gender-Based Violence (OGBV) cases in Indonesia are increasing every year. The Indonesian people have not considered the issue of OGBV as an important thing. This study aims to explore digital activism carried out by SAFEnet (Southeast Asia Freedom of Expression Network) in the “Awas KBGO!” (Beware of OGBV!) Campaign. This research is qualitative research with a case study approach. Researchers want to know the role of social media in digital activism internally (inward) and externally (outward). Data collection techniques are interviews, observation, and literature study. The research subjects were campaign makers, campaign partners, and the target audience of the campaign. The results showed that social media has an important role in digital activism in the “Awas KBGO!” (Beware of OGBV!) Campaign. After conducting the analysis, the researchers found three major themes in the digital activism research conducted by SAFEnet, such as (1) Information Sources; (2) Movement, Mobilization, and Self-Mediation; (3) Online Gender-Based Violence Victims Advocacy.Keywords: Digital activism, online movement, online gender-based violence (OGBV), social media ABSTRAKKasus Kekerasan Berbasis Gender Online (KBGO) di Indonesia naik setiap tahun. Masyarakat Indonesia pun belum menganggap isu KBGO merupakan suatu hal yang penting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi aktivisme digital yang dilakukan oleh SAFEnet (Southeast Asia Freedom of Expression Network) dalam kampanye “Awas KBGO!”. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Peneliti ingin mengetahui peran media sosial dalam aktivisme digital secara internal (inward) dan eksternal (outward). Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara, observasi, dan studi pustaka. Subjek penelitian adalah pembuat kampanye, mitra kampanye, dan target audiens kampanye. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media sosial memiliki peran penting dalam aktivisme digital dalam kampanye “Awas KBGO!”. Setelah dilakukan analisis, peneliti menemukan tiga tema besar dalam penelitian aktivisme digital yang dilakukan SAFEnet dalam kampanye “Awas KBGO!” yaitu: (1) Sumber Informasi; (2) Pergerakkan, Mobilisasi, dan Self-Mediation; (3) Advokasi Korban Kekerasan Berbasis Gender Online.   Kata Kunci: Aktivisme digital, gerakan siber, kekerasan berbasis gender online, media sosial

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana brand strategy yang dibentuk oleh Pinter Politik sebagai Media Suara Politik Millenial Indonesia serta alasan millenial pengguna instagram tertarik dengan brand Pinter Politik.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa brand strategy yang dilakukan Pinter Politik sebagai Media Suara Politik Millenial Indonesia berakar dari idealisme yang dituangkan kedalam brand identity, pemilihan channel, targeting dan strategi pemilihan konten. Dalam pembentukan brand identity diselaraskan dengan konsep visi misi dan memiliki nilai diferensiasi dibandingkan dengan media mainstream lainnya. Selanjutnya, pemilihan channel menggunakan strategi cross-media dimana berbagai kanal media sosialdigunakan agar dapat menjangkau target sasaran seluas-luasnya. Diawali dari penggunakan strategi cross-media ditemukan bahwa Instagram merupakan kanal paling aktif dibandingkan kanal lainnya.

Abstract

 Abstract This study aims to describe a dance artist, Memey Maria, in preserving and inherit Sumedang classical dance to the younger generation and explore cultural literacy process she went through in loving the Sumedang classical dance. Occupied descriptive qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach, the process of collecting data is done through interviews, direct observation, and document review. The results showed that Memey's efforts to maintain the classical dance of Sumedang were based on her love for Sundanese culture since she was a kid. Memey interacts and communicates with Sundanese around her every day. She learned Sumedang classical dance from the maestro, Raden Ono Lesmana Kartadikusumah. The regeneration process is done by teaching the dance to students at Universitas Sebelas April (Unsap), Sumedang. Although there were fewer participants, Memey still exited in teaching the dance to female students. The conclusion of this study shows that communication plays an important role in the process of culture learning. Internalization will be formed inside the individual if the cultural learning process continuously takes place. Keywords: Sumedang classical dance, learning culture, regeneration, Chinese. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkapkan upaya Memey dalam memertahankan dan mewariskan tarian klasik Sumedang kepada generasi muda serta menggali proses literasi budaya yang Memey jalani sehingga mencintai tarian klasik Sumedang. Melalui metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi, proses pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, pengamatan langsung serta penelaahan dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, upaya Memey memertahankan tarian klasik Sumedang agar tetap hidup didasari oleh rasa cintanya akan budaya Sunda yang melingkupinya sejak ia kecil. Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, Memey berinteraksi dan berkomunikasi dengan orang Sunda di sekelilingnya. Ia pun belajar langsung tarian klasik Sumedang dan maestronya, yakni Raden Ono Lesmana Kartadikusumah. Proses regenerasi dilakukan dengan mengajarkan tarian tersebut kepada mahasiswi di Universitas Sebelas April (Unsap), Sumedang. Meski yang ikut tidak banyak, tapi Memey tetap semangat untuk mengajarkan tarian tersebut kepada pada mahasiswi. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan, komunikasi berperan penting dalam proses belajar budaya. Internalisasi baru akan terbentuk dalam pribadi individu, jika proses pembelajaran budaya berlangsung secara berkesinambungan. Kata kunci: Tarian klasik Sumedang, belajar budaya, regenerasi, Tionghoa.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia began to be confirmed in early February 2020, it affects many various economic sectors, including agriculture. The COVID-19 created challenges for socio-economic issues. This short note focuses on the impact of COVID-19 outbreak on the agricultural sector. The COVID-19 outbreak had a wide-ranging impact, so that agricultural commodities continued to decline. The government's call to not leave the house resulted in many farmers not doing their activities so that it has an impact on declining farmers' income. The field officers also could not optimally carry out their work as a result the development of farming was not optimal. Various efforts have been made by the government to support the agricultural sector such as building e-marketing and training in processing yields for farmers.
