Abstract

Nowadays, the environmental issue is one of the biggest problems worldwide. It is because the climate change deteriorates from time to time; the earth becomes warmer, and pollution polluted the environment. Humans have a pivotal role in changing the earth because they damage the ecosystem by using numerous plastics, throw many of rubbish, and cutting plenty of trees. As a result, climate change and global warming become worse. Consequently, all stakeholders need to take the responsibility to protect the earth. Some groups blame the government; however; environmental issues are the government’s responsibility and all society’s matters, including academicians. This community service activity was conducted in one of the remote areas in Bunbeleng village, East Sekotong district, East Lombok. The Project was held by Relawan Saling Jaga Indonesia (Relasi) funded by Direct Aid Program (DAP) Australian Consulate-General, Bali Indonesia coordinated by Isyatul Mardiah. This project was conducted based on Project-based Learning (PBL). There are five stages in implementing this project: planning the project, monitoring the project, presenting the project, and evaluating the project. The environment topics were elaborated in this community through the PBL. After the program, the students have more knowledge in reducing, recycling, and reusing plastics and green programs with planting trees. The students were very enthusiastic and motivated. The collection of the project was exhibited isn the classroom.

Abstract

Prevalensi balita stunted di Kota Palu pada tahun 2022 mencapai 24.7%, wasted sebesar 12.8%, underweight sebesar 24.7%, sedangkan overweight sebesar 1.9%. Permasalahan tumbuh kembang anak, termasuk penurunan status gizi pasca bencana di Kota Palu meningkat jika dibandingkan sebelum bencana terjadi. Hal ini dapat disebabkan oleh kurangnya akses terhadap pelayanan kesehatan dan tenaga kesehatan yang kurang memadai. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan pemantauan tumbuh kembang balita pada kondisi darurat (emergency nutrition assesment) perlu dilakukan. Tujuan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini yaitu meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu-ibu kader sebagai salah satu petugas kesehatan di unit terkecil, yaitu posyandu di Keluruhan Duyu, Kecamatan Tatanga, Kota Palu terkait pemantauan tumbuh kembang balita saat kondisi darurat (emergency nutrition assesment). Mitra pada kegiatan ini yaitu Lurah Duyu Kota Palu. Metode yang digunakan yaitu ceramah dan praktek langsung. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan memberikan pengaruh yang positif terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan kader tentang pemanataun tumbuh kembang balita pada kondisi darurat. Kegiatan pelatihan ini merupakan salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan aspek positif pengetahuan kader.

Abstract

Seiring dengan meningkatnya kompleksitas serta frekuensi serangan siber, kebutuhan akan sistem deteksi anomali yang akurat dan andal dalam lingkungan jaringan komputer menjadi semakin penting. Penelitian ini mengusulkan pendekatan supervised machine learning dengan algoritma Random Forest untuk mendeteksi aktivitas anomali dalam jaringan. Dataset CICIDS2017 digunakan sebagai landasan pelatihan dan pengujian, karena mencerminkan karakteristik lalu lintas jaringan aktual dan mencakup beragam jenis serangan siber. Tahapan dalam penelitian ini meliputi proses prapemrosesan data, seleksi fitur, pelatihan model, serta evaluasi kinerja menggunakan metrik standar seperti akurasi, presisi, recall, dan F1-score. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa model Random Forest berhasil mencapai tingkat akurasi sebesar 99,8%, dengan nilai presisi dan recall yang tinggi, yang mencerminkan efektivitas model dalam membedakan antara lalu lintas normal dan anomali. Penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa algoritma Random Forest memiliki potensi yang signifikan untuk diterapkan dalam sistem deteksi intrusi secara real-time. Selain itu, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan solusi keamanan jaringan yang berbasis kecerdasan buatan yang adaptif, efisien, dan skalabel.

Abstract

The increasing intensity of pest attacks on rice plants is one of the major factors contributing to the decline in productivity and quality of yields in Indonesia’s agricultural sector. Farmers’ excessive dependence on chemical pesticides not only leads to pest resistance but also poses negative impacts on human health, the environment, and the ecological balance of paddy fields. Therefore, there is an urgent need for innovative, environmentally friendly, efficient, and sustainable pest control technologies. This study proposes the implementation of a solar-powered pest trap lamp integrated with an Internet of Things (IoT)-based system as an alternative solution within an integrated pest management (IPM) framework. The device is designed to utilize solar energy as its primary power source to support energy-efficient operations while reducing dependence on conventional electricity. The IoT connectivity enables real-time data transmission to a cloud-based server for remote monitoring, data analysis, and evidence-based decision-making. Through this approach, pest control can be carried out more precisely, efficiently, and adaptively according to field conditions. Moreover, the application of this technology has the potential to minimize the use of chemical pesticides, enhance agroecosystem health, and promote the principles of sustainable agriculture and national food security. This study emphasizes that the integration of solar energy and IoT technology in pest trap systems can serve as a significant innovation in the digital modernization of agriculture in Indonesia. Further research recommendations include large-scale field trials, quantitative analysis of pest population reduction effectiveness, and evaluation of the economic, social, and adoption aspects among farmers. Hence, this study is expected to provide a substantial contribution to the development of intelligent, efficient, and sustainable pest management systems.

Abstract

Allopurinol is used to reduce total uric acid levels in the body into oxypurinol which can inhibit xanthine oxidase. Allopurinol inhibits the precursors of uric acid formation, xanthine, and hypoxanthine. However, consumption of the drugs can cause side effects on the liver. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of allopurinol induction on the liver histopathology of male mice (Mus musculus) DDY strain. The method used in this research was an experimental design used post-test only that was divided into 4 groups of 4 mice per group. The control group (P0) was given 0.5% Na-CMC, and groups I, II, and III (P1, P2, and P3) were induced by allopurinol at 10 mg/kg BW, 20 mg/kg BW, and 30 mg/kg BW for 14 days. Allopurinol induction was performed by oral gavage. The results of the research showed that treatment with allopurinol caused changes in the mice’s body weight, liver index, liver morphology, and histological structure of the liver tissue, including necrosis, steatosis, leukocyte infiltration, binuclear hepatocytes, hepatocyte swelling, congestion, sinusoid dilatation, and hemorrhage. The level of liver damage increased in line with the dose used. This research indicated that the higher the allopurinol level, the higher the level of alteration in the liver section structure. Long-term use of allopurinol can cause damage to the structure of mice liver (liver toxicity).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa yang diterapkan media pembelajaran wordwall dan hasil belajar yang tidak diterapkan media pembelajaran wordwall terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode True Experimental Design melalui desain Pretest–Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 25 orang, yang dibagi ke dalam kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes hasil belajar, sedangkan analisis data meliputi uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji-t dengan bantuan SPSS versi 29. Peningkatan hasil belajar pada kelas eksperimen mengindikasikan bahwa media Wordwall dapat membantu siswa memahami materi secara lebih interaktif dan menarik, sehingga berdampak positif terhadap pencapaian belajar. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan media pembelajaran Wordwall terhadap hasil belajar siswa.  Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penerapan media wordwall dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, media Wordwall dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran yang efektif dalam pembelajaran IPAS di sekolah dasar. Sebagai tindaklanjut, disarankan agar guru-guru di SDIT Kamiliyah Palembang menggunakan media wordwall lebih efektif guna meningkatkan hasil belajar dan minat belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to inventory the types of food crops growing around tailings ponds and to quantify mercury concentrations in food crop tissues growing in the area around the gold mine. The samples taken are plants consumed by residents. Mercury content testing uses a mercury analyzer. The results of the study showed that from 4 observation locations, a total of 11 types of food crops were found, all of which contained mercury (Hg) with a concentration range of 0.01-0.54 mg/kg. Similarly, the soil as a growing medium contains quite high levels of mercury at location 1, namely 54.36 mg/kg, and the lowest at location 3 at 0.12 mg/kg. The concentration of mercury in vegetable leaves is much higher than in other organs such as tubers, flowers, and fruits. Furthermore, to plant plants for consumption, it is best to pay attention to the condition of the growing medium, as a prevention of heavy metal (mercury) contamination, such as the environment (air, soil, water) that is far from waste retention ponds or waste discharge streams containing heavy metals (mercury). Analisis Konsentrasi Merkuri pada Tanaman Pangan di Sekitar Tambang Emas Kabupaten Lebong ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginventarisasi jenis tanaman pangan yang tumbuh disekitar kolam penampungan limbah (tailing) dan untuk mengkuantifikasi konsentrasi merkuri dalam jaringan tanaman pangan yang tumbuh di area sekitar tambang emas. Sampel yang diambil merupakan tanaman yang memang dikonsumsi oleh warga setempat. Uji kandungan merkuri menggunakan mercury analyzer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari 4 lokasi pengamatan, ditemukkan Sebanyak 11 jenis tanaman pangan yang semuanya mengandung merkuri (Hg) dengan kisaran konsentrasi 0,01-0,11 mg/kg. Demikian pula, tanah sebagai media tanam mengandung kadar merkuri yang cukup tinggi di lokasi 1, yaitu 54,36 mg/kg, dan paling rendah dilokasi 3 sebesar 0,12 mg/kg. konsentrasi merkuri dalam daun sayuran jauh lebih tinggi dibandingkan organ lain seperti tuber, bunga, dan buah. Selanjutnya, untuk menanam tanaman yang akan dikonsumsi sebaiknya memperhatikan kondisi media tumbuh, sebagai pencegahan dari kontaminasi logam berat (merkuri), seperti lingkungan (udara, tanah,air) yang jauh dari kolam penampungan limbah maupun aliran pembuangan limbah yang mengandung merkuri.
