Abstract

This study investigates the implementation and impact of halal certification within Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pekalongan City, primarily focusing on the role of the Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) in facilitating and ensuring compliance with halal certification. Utilizing a mixed-method approach, encompassing juridical-normative and juridical-empirical research techniques, we scrutinized both the legislative framework and its real-world application within Pekalongan's food and beverage MSME sector. The data revealed that the halal certification process is hindered by several factors, including insufficient human resources and a pervasive lack of understanding and awareness regarding the necessity and implications of halal certification among MSME actors. Notably, the current level of law awareness pertaining to halal certification in Pekalongan City remains suboptimal. This shortfall suggests an urgent need for enhanced educational and socialization efforts to bolster legal consciousness and promote compliance. Additionally, the research underscores a pivotal role for the MUI, not just in terms of routine inspection and conflict resolution but also as a collaborative agent working with various institutions like BPOM, the Ministry of Religion, and law enforcement agencies to safeguard consumer rights and uphold religious and legal standards. These findings stress the need for concerted multi-agency efforts to foster a more inclusive and knowledgeable halal-certified product ecosystem in Pekalongan City.Highlights: Awareness Gap: Significant lack of understanding about halal certification necessities and procedures among MSMEs in Pekalongan City. Resource Shortfall: Insufficient human resources hinder the optimal implementation of the halal certification process. MUI's Central Role: MUI's pivotal role in enhancing the halal certification process, fostering compliance, and protecting consumer rights. Abstract

This community service activity is important to carry out because there is an urgency to introduce batik products more widely, especially Pekalongan batik which has its own distinctive and unique motifs and philosophies, and has differentiation which will be packaged through batik innovation with Quick Response Code labeling which can be accessed by consumers with a display that contains information about the profile of the SME maker along with the batik motifs complete with meanings and symbols and philosophies. Through this strategy, SMEs can market batik products more exclusively but still maintain the local wisdom and philosophy of Indonesian batik culture. In addition, SMEs are also able to boost the independence of SMEs in readiness for competition in the global market. The activity was carried out with partners, namely the Kauman Batik Kampoeng Association, East Pekalongan District, Pekalongan City. Activity partners have problems in the commercialization of branding and digital marketing. The method is carried out through several stages. Before the service team carries out activities, it begins with observations, adjusting the needs of service activity partners and creating a website for information needs that can be accessed via QRcode-based labels. The service team provides solutions to problems through training and assistance, including regarding the importance of QRCode-based batik labels, preparing UKM profiles for the QRCode database which refers to the website, assistance in using QRCode-based batik labels, as well as assistance and management of brand rights and copyrights.

Abstract

Degayu Village is one of the areas affected by tidal floods in North Pekalongan District. Most of the rice fields of the residents of Degayu Village are currently submerged by 1-1.5 meters of tidal water which has forced some residents to change their profession from farmers to fishermen, anglers, fishing net craftsmen, and so on. However, with their new jobs, many residents find it difficult to adapt, resulting in a decrease in family income. For this reason, the Kelurahan government is trying to take advantage of the rice fields that have been submerged in water to become a potential for boat tourism so that economic growth can improve again. The tours offered are boat tours along the water while enjoying the natural scenery of the north coast. However, the results of in-depth interviews with several informants as well as direct observation of the location found the following problems; there are no work safety standards or procedures for boat tourism, for example, there are no life jackets and personal protective equipment for boats passengers and drivers, there is no rescue team in the event of an accident, no first aid facilities are available, and there is no tourism awareness group that manages the tourism potential properly. Well, besides the potential for boat tourism, there are also many other potentials that can be maximized, such as floating culinary tours, water bikes, mangrove parks, and so on. For this reason, it is necessary to form a tourism awareness group that is trained in tourism management both from an economic and work safety perspective.

Abstract

Tourism is essential to economic growth and development at the national, sectoral, and local levels. Almost all regions face conflicts of interest in the management of tourism and tourist villages, stemming from the inability of tourist location managers to balance all interests with frequently over lapping regulations and policies. This research aims to examine and analyze the authority of the village government in regulating and managing tourist villages based on ecological justice in villages around the Borobudur Temple area, exploring the regulatory model for managing tourist villages based on ecological justice in villages around the Borobudur Temple area. The study employs a sociological-legal approach that prioritizes field research. Data sources consist of primary legal materials obtained through interviews, secondary legal materials obtained from literature, and tertiary legal materials. The data analysis method employs a variety of techniques. The research results indicate that the village government around the Borobudur temple area has the authority to manage and regulate tourist villages. This authority includes preparing tourist village development plans, granting business permits, regulating tourism activities, developing human resources, and collaborating with related parties. The proposed tourism village management model is a setting that focuses on ecological justice: community participation, environmental management, local economic empowerment, education, and environmental awareness. Ecological justice-based tourism villages must ensure equitable distribution of economic, social, and environmental benefits among all local community members, including vulnerable and marginalized groups.

Tourist villages in Batang Regency, Central Java, have great potential for development through pentahelix collaboration. Although collaborative efforts have been made, challenges such as inter-party coordination and marketing strategies still need improvement. The purpose of this research is to analyze the form of pentahelix collaboration in the management of tourist villages in Batang Regency and to identify supporting and hindering factors that affect this collaboration. Abstract

A website is a digital marketing tool for any enterprise, especially in today's digital era where every company should have its own website. However, most batik shops in Kampung Wisata Batik Pesindon (KWBP) still do not have a website. The objective of this community service was to develop websites for 17 batik shops in KWBP and then provide training on how to fill and update these websites. The community service were carried out in five stages: problem identification, pre-training, training, mentoring, and monitoring and evaluation. Problem identification is conducted through interviews regarding the desired website needs. Pre-training involves creating websites for the 17 batik shops and one large website for KWBP. The training stage was conducted through demonstration and hands-on practice. Mentoring was done using a WhatsApp group, and evaluation was performed using observation sheets of training results. Based on the results, it was found that this activity can improve partners' skills in website content filling by 59% and increase partners' accessibility to website technology by 100%. The challenge encountered during training was that partners have not prepared the necessary website assets such as the batik shop logo and uploaded product images. However, overall, the participants' enthusiasm was considered high.

Abstract

Background: Sexual harassment against children in Pekalongan City has escalated, with factors such as diminished parental supervision and shifting moral values contributing to its prevalence. Knowledge Gap: Existing literature primarily explores legal repercussions and short-term psychological impacts, leaving a gap in comprehensive studies on long-term emotional effects and effective legal protection measures. Aims: This study aims to fill these gaps by identifying causative factors, evaluating psychological and emotional impacts over time, and assessing current legal protections. Results: The research highlights that children experiencing sexual abuse face severe psychological conditions like anxiety and depression, along with lasting emotional disturbances such as trauma and emotional dysregulation. Legal efforts are currently centered on reactive measures rather than preventative strategies. Novelty: This study is novel in its longitudinal analysis of emotional impacts and its critique of legal frameworks in place, suggesting improvements for future protective measures. Implications: The findings advocate for enhanced legal frameworks that focus not only on punitive measures but also on preventive and rehabilitative strategies to better protect children and foster resilience against the psychological and emotional scars of abuse. Highlights: Causative Factors: Key contributors include decreased parental supervision and shifting societal values. Long-term Impacts: Highlights severe psychological effects like depression and trauma. Legal Frameworks: Stresses the need for improved preventive and rehabilitative legal measures.
