Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of revenue on Operating Profit Margin with Operational Cost as a mediator through the time charter and freight charter systems at PT. Bintang Samudera Mandiri Lines Tbk (BSML). The research method used is quantitative and associated with the company's secondary data. The study population includes Revenue Time Charter, Freight Charter, Operational Cost, and Operating Profit Margin at PT. Bintang Samudera Mandiri Lines Tbk from 2020. The sample consists of monthly data from January 2020 to December 2022, with 36 samples from 5 company vessels. The path analysis method is used with the help of SPSS Ver. 26 software. The study results show a positive and significant effect between Revenue and Operational Cost on the Time Charter and Freight Charter systems. Revenue also has a positive and significant effect on Operating Profit Margin in both systems. However, Operational Cost only has a positive and significant effect on Operating Profit Margin in the Freight Charter system. Indirectly, Revenue through Operational Cost affects the Operating Profit Margin in the Freight Charter system, but not in the Time Charter system. There is a significant difference between Revenue, Operational Cost, and Operating Profit Margin generated by the two systems at PT. Bintang Samudera Mandiri Lines Tbk. With the implication that the company must ensure that the increase in revenue is followed by operational cost efficiency by the company's management.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of service quality—comprising the dimensions of resources, outcomes, processes, management, and image—on customer loyalty at PT IPC TPK Tanjung Priok, with customer satisfaction as a mediating variable. The research is motivated by suboptimal service delivery, weak regulations, limited satisfaction surveys, and inconsistent prior findings. A descriptive–causal quantitative design was applied to 107 purposively selected port service users, who completed a structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results indicate that all five service quality dimensions jointly and significantly shape perceived service quality (significant of outer loading, non-multicollinearity, and strong redundancy result). Furthermore, service quality has a very strong positive effect on customer satisfaction, and customer satisfaction fully mediates the relationship between service quality and customer loyalty in this research. These findings affirm that enhancing loyalty can be achieved only through the improvement of satisfaction. Practically, port management should upgrade facilities and staff competencies, optimize operational processes, strengthen management practices, and build institutional image to foster long-term satisfaction and loyalty.

Abstract

The primary issue of this study is the lagging competency in the logistics field, as it has not yet been able to improve the quality and quantity of human resources in line with the Logistics Performance Index. The purpose of this research is to analyse the contributions of competency, non-physical work environment, and office layout on employee performance through work motivation in the logistics industry in South Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia. This research method employs a quantitative approach based on Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using Partial Least Squares (PLS). The sampling method and respondent criteria employ a convenience sampling method, with a sample of 271 employees from 11 logistics companies in Indonesia. Based on the analysis results, it is found that competency, non-physical work environment, and office layout have both direct and indirect positive contributions to employee performance through work motivation. Furthermore, motivation directly has a positive contribution to employee performance. However, the research also found that competency does not directly have a positive contribution on motivation, while competency indirectly has a negative and insignificant contribution on employee performance through work motivation. Therefore, from the perspective of the logistics industry, it is crucial to pay attention to competency, non-physical work environment, office layout, and work motivation to enhance employee performance and achieve progress in the logistics industry.

Abstract

Halim Perdanakusuma Airport has seen a significant rise in passenger traffic in the post-COVID-19 period, creating an urgent need to improve terminal facilities and service quality. Despite these developments, users continue to report dissatisfaction with various aspects of airport services and infrastructure. This study aims to examine the effect of terminal facilities and service quality on passenger satisfaction. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through surveys and analyzed with multiple linear regression via SPSS. The independent variables include electronic facilities (X1), IT facilities (X2), infrastructure facilities (X3), electrical facilities (X4), and service quality (X5), while passenger satisfaction serves as the dependent variable (Y). The results show that all independent variables have a positive and significant influence on passenger satisfaction, both individually and simultaneously. Among these, electronic facilities and service quality have the most dominant impact. The F-test supports the model’s validity, confirming that the combination of variables significantly influences satisfaction levels. These findings highlight the importance of a comprehensive service strategy that integrates technology, infrastructure, and human interaction to enhance overall service quality in the aviation sector.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of flash sale intensity on delivery service satisfaction across five critical dimensions: timeliness, product condition, tracking accuracy, return ease, and courier professionalism, focusing on leading Indonesian e-commerce platforms. Flash sales have become one of the most prominent promotional strategies in Indonesia’s rapidly growing digital market, yet they frequently generate logistical challenges such as inventory overload, courier delays, and system inefficiencies. A quantitative survey was conducted with 212 Indonesian consumers who participated in national flash sale events (e.g., 11.11, 12.12). Satisfaction levels were measured using Likert scale items, and the data were analyzed with Pearson correlation and linear regression. The results show significant negative correlations between flash sale intensity and delivery timeliness, product condition, and courier professionalism. Tracking accuracy was moderately affected, while return ease showed no significant relationship. These findings highlight how high-volume promotions strain logistics infrastructure, leading to delivery inefficiencies. The study contributes by filling a research gap in Indonesian e-commerce, offering a multidimensional assessment of delivery service during promotional surges. It recommends practical strategies such as investments in scalable logistics infrastructure, integration of advanced tracking systems, third-party logistics partnerships, and courier training programs to enhance resilience during peak demand. This evidence provides actionable insights for platforms aiming to maintain consumer trust and service quality amid rapid promotional growth.

Abstract

The Banten region is one of the disaster-prone areas in Indonesia, particularly vulnerable to tsunamis, making the selection of warehouse locations a critical aspect in supporting effective emergency response. The accuracy of warehouse placement directly influences the speed of aid distribution and the security of supplies from potential secondary disasters. This community service activity aimed to enhance the capacity of MDMC Banten volunteers in understanding the principles of safe, efficient, and risk-based warehouse site selection. The activity was carried out through several stages, including the identification of existing conditions, conceptual socialization, real-case discussions in the Banten region, and spatial simulations using topographic maps and tsunami scenarios. The results showed significant improvement in participants’ understanding of the functional differences between main and transit warehouses, as well as their ability to evaluate locations based on risk and accessibility criteria. This program also produced strategic location recommendations tailored to the local geographic context. In conclusion, the risk-based educational approach combined with spatial simulation has proven effective in strengthening community-level disaster logistics planning capacity, particularly in high-risk regions such as Banten.
