Abstract

This investigates the family’s communication pattern to avoid senior high school student violence in Yogyakarta. This study employs a qualitative method taking a sample of ten people consist of students’ parents (SMAN 6 Yogyakarta, SMAN 8 Yogyakarta, SMAN 9 Yogyakarta, SMA Bopkri 2 Yogyakarta, SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta, and SMA Tamansiswa Yogyakarta); teachers and society figure. The results are (1) Communication pattern which is used effectively to avoid students’ violence is one way communication. In this situation parents can give advice and become a role model for their children; and (2) Communication patterns which are used innefectively to avoid students’ violence are interaction and transaction communication. It is because parents’ knowledge about the importance of interaction communication in character education is very low and the transaction communication among parents-children-third party tends to not intensive.POLA KOMUNIKASI KELUARGA DALAM MENCEGAH KENAKALAN PELAJAR SMA DI KOTA YOGYAKARTATujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pola komunikasi keluarga dalam mencegah kenakalan pelajar SMA di Kota Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan menggunakan 10 narasumber yang mencakup wali siswa (SMAN 6 Yogyakarta, SMAN 8 Yogyakarta, SMAN 9 Yogyakarta, SMA Bopkri 2 Yogyakarta, SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta, dan SMA Tamansiswa Yogyakarta); wali kelas dan tokoh masyarakat. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dapat disebutkan bahwa (1) Pola komunikasi keluarga yang digunakan secara efektif sebagai upaya untuk mencegah kenakalan pelajar dalam penelitian ini adalah komunikasi sebagai aksi atau komunikasi satu arah dimana orang tua memberikan nasihat atau memberikan contoh secara langsung melalui perbuatan; dan (2) Pola komunikasi keluarga yang masih belum dapat dilakukan secara efektif untuk mencegah kenakalan pelajar adalah komunikasi sebagai interaksi dan komunikasi banyak arah. Hal ini disebabkan karena minimnya pengetahuan orang tua mengenai pentingnya komunikasi dua arah dalam proses penanaman pendidikan karakter seorang anak dan juga karena komunikasi banyak arah yang terjalin antara orang tua-anak-pihak ketiga cenderung tidak intens.

Abstract

The focus of this research is to examine the communication techniques between parents and children in the context of parenting and giving advice (sharenting) for the prevention of children or adolescents' delinquency. The informants of this research were students, teachers, parents, and community leaders from two countries (Indonesia and Malaysia). Data were collected utilizing the focus group discussion techniques via Zoom meeting platform. Data were analyzed using interactive analysis which includes four stages, namely: data collection, data reduction, display data, and drawing a conclusion/verification. The results show that parenting and sharenting communication are strategic forums to guide adolescents to avoid various forms of deviant behavior, especially delinquency. The communication techniques applied consist of persuasive and in certain conditions coercive communication techniques are utilized. Communication barriers include the lack of commitment of some parents in carrying out comprehensive communication.

Abstract

This study aims at investigating the effectiveness of using android application-based village Information System (abbreviated as "Sifordes") implemented in information autonomy village program in Umbulmartani Village, Ngemplak District, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Province. This research is an evaluation research which employs a qualitative method. The evaluation in this research uses the CIPP model. Informants in this study include two village officials, three administrators of village institution, and two community members. The data were analyzed using interactive analysis techniques. The results are: (1) The context which consists of objectives, needs, and policies within the information autonomy program belongs to a good category; (2) Program inputs include the readiness of human resources; facilities and infrastructure; and content of information which support the implementation of village information autonomy program; (3) The process of implementing information autonomy program run based on the plan; and (4) The product of this program is the improvement of services that help ease the public access information.Studi evaluasi ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap keefektifan penggunaan aplikasi Sistem Informasi Desa (“Sifordes”) berbasis android dalam program desa mandiri informasi di Desa Umbulmartani, Kecamatan Ngemplak, Kabupaten Sleman, Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian evaluasi dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Evaluasi ini menggunakan model CIPP. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah dua orang perangkat desa, tiga orang pengurus lembaga desa, dan dua orang warga masyarakat. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian mengungkap: (1) Konteks yang terdiri atas tujuan, kebutuhan, dan kebijakan dalam program mandiri informasi berada dalam kategori baik; (2) Input program berupa kesiapan SDM, sarana dan prasarana, dan konten informasi mendukung dalam mengimplementasikan program desa mandiri informasi; (3) Proses pelaksanaan program desa mandiri informasi berjalan sesuai rencana; dan (4) Produk program ini adalah terjadinya peningkatan pelayanan yang memudahkan masyarakat untuk mengakses informasi.

Abstract

Digital technology development during the industrial revolution 4.0 era can be a way to promote tourism. Nowadays, the concept of e-tourism (electronic tourism) has become popular in Indonesia. E-tourism in itself is an IT-based system applied in tourism sector that provides various information digitally. This research aims to describe a communication strategy in marketing Yogyakarta's tourism potential through e-tourism. This research uses descriptive-qualitative approach with library research method. The Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) has a vast variety of tourist attraction, ranging from historical places to shopping districts. Those tourism potential have drawn many tourists, locals and foreigners alike. As an effort to raise tourism visit, the DIY Tourism Department has implemented website and mobile based applications. Such method to promote tourism digitally is a right choice since e-tourism provides easiness for tourists in accessing tourism information as well as making activity plan.

Abstract

AbstractDevelopment is a process that is carried out continuously in a region over time. Development leads the improvement of the lives and well-being, both in terms of material and nonmaterial. To Indonesia, the development process is a planned activity to achieve national goals as mandated in the 1945 Constitution, which among others, to promote the general welfare, united, sovereign, fair, and prosperous. Indicators of well-being are not just limited to the economic aspect and materialistic, but also concerning aspects of harmony, unity, and integration of national life in dignity characterized by solidarity excellence. So that it is needed to consider the implementation of the theories of social and cultural communication in the development process.AbstrakPembangunan adalah suatu proses yang dilakukan secara terus menerus pada suatu wilayah dari waktu ke waktu. Pembangunan bermuara para peningkatan kehidupan dan kesejahteraan, baik dari sisi material maupun nonmaterial. Bagi Bangsa Indonesia, proses pembangunan adalah aktivitas terencana untuk mencapai tujuan nasional sebagaimana diamanatkan dalam Pembukaan UUD 1945, yaitu antara lain untuk memajukan kesejahteraan umum, bersatu, berdaulat, adil, dan makmur. Indikator kesejahteraan tidak hanya terbatas pada aspek ekonomis dan materialistis, melainkan juga menyangkut aspek keharmonisan, kebersamaan, dan integrasi hidup berbangsa secara bermartabat yang ditandai oleh adanya solidaritas yang prima. Berkenaan dengan itu, perlu dipertimbangkan implementasi teori-teori komunikasi sosial budaya dalam proses pembangunan.Keywords: Socio-Cultural Communication, Growth, Integration

Abstract

The study aims to explain how the concept of integrated Islamic and the strategy of the teacher in SMA IT Abu Bakar Yogyakarta and SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta produce the superior students. It refers to the development of SMA IT which always puts ethics, religion and the quality of the students. However, the main key to produce the superior students is the role of professional teacher who encourages the strong characteristic of students. The method of this research is qualitative and takes place in SMA IT Abu Bakar and SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta. Furthermore, the samples of this research consist of twenty teachers. The result is that (1) SMA IT Abu Bakar and SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta combine three elements such as the cooperation among the shool, societies, and family; the structured and programmed curriculum from kindergarten to university; tsaqafah Islam and science oriented. These are done to produce a superior student who masters science and technology and also has a good characteristic. (2) The communication strategy of the teachers in SMA IT Abu Bakar and SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta is effective. It can be seen from the fulfillment of communication elements on communication strategy which is used by the teacher to produce a superior student.Permasalahan pokok dalam penelitian ini adalah strategi komunikasi yang digunakan oleh guru sebagai agen perubah sosial, karena peran guru disini sangat penting dalam menghasilkan siswa yang unggul baik dalam bidang akademik maupun dalam bidang moral (akhlak mulia). Oleh karenanya, guru dituntut untuk tidak hanya mengajarkan mata pelajaran umum melainkan juga keagamaan hingga pelajaran mengenai akhlak. Hal ini dibutuhkan demi memberikan pembekalan "dasar moralitas" yang tergali dari kearifan tradisi kultural dan nilai-nilai doktrinal agama Islam yang kuat.Berdasar latar belakang di atas, maka penelitian ini secara khusus bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsep pendidikan islam terpadu dan mengetahui strategi komunikasi guru di SMA IT Abu Bakar Yogyakarta dan SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta dalam menghasilkan siswa yang unggul. Selanjutnya peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian Focus Group Dsicussion (FGD) untuk memperoleh gambaran strategi komunikasi guru SMA IT dalam menghasilkan siswa yang unggul. Hasil penelitian ini nantinya akan dipublikasikan dalam jurnal lokal yang memiliki ISSN atau jurnal nasional terakreditasi.
