Abstract

The strategy to improve the quality of education in schools is to improve the management of literacy culture. Literacy refers to the process of reading, writing, and speaking to build, integrate, and critique meaning. Many researchers studied teachers' role in improving elementary school students' literacy and forgot how lecturers also have an essential role. This study aims to identify geography education lecturers' role in measuring students' basic literacy and numeracy skills at SDN Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency. Research Methods use descriptive qualitative. Interviews, observation, and descriptive analysis of documents by purposive sampling obtained data. To increase the credibility of research informants using the principle of data saturation. The results of this study show that students' literacy and numeracy skills are still low because teachers' ability in Central Lombok Regency is also considered to have decreased, so the support of parents is considered a servant. This research also shows that the role of geography education lecturers is very significant in measuring literacy and numeracy skills applied to all fields of learning in an integrated manner so that the roles of teachers and lecturers both have an essential role in measuring the literacy and numeracy of elementary school students.Keywords: Lecturer Role, Literacy Ability, Basic Numeracy of Students

Abstract

The essence and existence of culture in its process will gradually change due to various factors, such as the infiltration of global culture. This quantitative study aims to determine the effect of global cultural infiltration on the traditional Sasak marriage system in Lombok Island. The research was conducted in Montong Gamang Village, Kopang District, Central Lombok Regency, with 50 respondents determined by purposive sampling. The research data were obtained through a questionnaire analyzed using the Product Moment Correlation formula. The analysis results show a correlation coefficient (0.639) greater than the value of r-Product Moment (0.279) at a significance level of 5%. This means that global cultural infiltration has a significant effect on the traditional Sasak marriage system in Lombok Island. It is suggested that the tribe can wisely select and accept the foreign culture, be aware of negative influences, and maintain local cultural values. Keywords: Cultural Infiltration; Marriage System; Sasak Tribe Custom

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi implementasi kompetensi pedagogik guru abad ke-21 dalam pemanfaatan media pembelajaran geografi di SMAN 1 Sape, Kabupaten Bima. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi aspek-aspek penting kompetensi pedagogik, seperti pembelajaran berbasis kompetensi, penggunaan model pembelajaran vokasional, dan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK), serta menilai kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam pengembangan kompetensi ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan model interaktif yang mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sembilan aspek kompetensi pedagogik, termasuk penyusunan RPP, pemahaman karakteristik peserta didik, dan penggunaan media pembelajaran kontekstual, sangat penting dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran geografi. Namun, guru menghadapi kendala seperti kurangnya wawasan pedagogik, terbatasnya sarana-prasarana, dan kurangnya update penggunaan TIK. Meskipun demikian, penguasaan kompetensi pedagogik yang memadai dapat menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih menarik dan relevan bagi siswa. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan program pelatihan guru dan dukungan fasilitas untuk mengatasi kendala yang ada dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di SMAN 1 Sape.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengembangan sumber daya manusia (SDM) guru berbasis kompetensi profesional di SMP IT Islam Terpadu Nurul Khalifah Bima. Fokus penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi komponen utama kompetensi profesional, termasuk keyakinan, nilai moral, karakteristik kepribadian, isu emosional, sikap profesional, pengetahuan dasar, dan kemampuan intelektual, serta mengeksplorasi upaya pengembangan strategis yang melibatkan guru itu sendiri, rekan kerja, dan pihak sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan model interaktif, meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pengembangan SDM yang efektif, termasuk pendampingan, pelatihan, workshop, studi banding, dan pendidikan berkelanjutan, sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru. Selain itu, peningkatan kesejahteraan guru dan manajemen beban kerja mereka juga krusial untuk menciptakan lingkungan pengajaran yang mendukung. Penelitian ini menyoroti bahwa pengintegrasian berbagai pendekatan pengembangan secara signifikan mempengaruhi kompetensi profesional guru dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di SMP IT Nurul Khalifah Bima. Model pengembangan yang komprehensif ini membantu mengoptimalkan kinerja guru dan memperbaiki hasil belajar siswa, menunjukkan pentingnya pengembangan SDM yang berkelanjutan dan strategis dalam pendidikan.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of the Experiential Learning model on critical thinking among high school students in Geography lessons. Essentially, this study focuses on the urgent need to develop higher-level critical thinking among students, which has not been optimized due to traditional teaching methods. This study employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, involving two classes: one as the experimental class following experiential learning-based instruction, and the other as the control class using conventional teaching methods. The research was conducted at SMAN 1 Pujut High School, with a sample of two classes: IPS 1 and IPS 2. Data collection techniques included observation, documentation, and evaluation tests. For data analysis, descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation) and inferential statistics, including t-tests and simple linear regression, were used. The research findings indicate a significant difference between the critical thinking abilities of students in the experimental class and the control class. The average posttest scores of students in the experimental class were higher (M = 73.426; SD = 7.873) than those in the control class (M = 77.191; SD = 9.329). The t-test showed a significant p-value of p < 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of experiential learning is effective in improving students' critical thinking in geography learning at the high school level. Students develop critical thinking skills through learning experiences. In addition to improving critical thinking skills, students are also motivated to learn. Variations in learning models such as this will improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Learning styles are believed to play an important role in shaping student competencies. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Honey & Mumford's learning styles in building holistic competencies in students. The focus is on integrated social studies learning in the 21st century. The independent variable (X) is holistic competence, including cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. The dependent variable (Y) is the Honey & Mumford learning style, which consists of activist, reflector, theorist, and pragmatist aspects. The study uses a quantitative correlational approach with 77 eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 5 Jonggat as subjects. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a Likert scale, based on indicators of Honey & Mumford's learning styles and holistic competencies. Analysis reveals a positive and significant relationship between learning styles and holistic competencies (r = 0.434; p < 0.001). Learning styles contribute 18.9% to the variation in students' holistic competencies. This finding underscores the importance of applying learning styles aligned with individual preferences to improve 21st-century educational outcomes. Teachers are advised to conduct diagnostic assessments to identify students' initial abilities. This enables teachers to design differentiated learning according to students' learning styles. Schools should develop policies and teacher training focused on student-centered learning. Curricula and learning resources should also be flexible. This flexibility supports diverse learning preferences and helps develop students' academic potential and character.

Abstract

The research aims to describe and synthesize previous research findings, analyze the relevance of lesson study to the achievement of deep learning, identify the benefits and challenges of its implementation and provide evidence-based recommendations for the development of lesson study that is more effective in supporting the 21st century learning paradigm. The researcher used the SLR (System Literature Rivew) method to review previous studies from the last 10 (2015-2025) years. Journal searches were conducted by researchers through journal provider databases such as Google Scholar (scholar.google.com) and Scopus. The focus of research data is journals with lesson study implementation in deep learning as many as 40 journals indexed SINTA (National) and Scopus (International) from various publishers or journal publishers. The result of this research is that lesson study is an effective collaborative framework in encouraging active and reflective engagement of learners while improving teacher professionalism in improving deep learning.

Abstract

Abstrak Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberi penguatan tentang manajemen pembiayaan pendidikan yang berkelanjutan kepada pengelola PAUD. Pengabdian dilakukan secara langsung dengan memberikan penyuluhan melalui tahapan koordinasi awal, perencanaan, pelaksanaan penyuluhan, kontrol dan evaluasi, serta penyusunan laporan. Mitra strategis selama pelaksanaan pengabdian adalah IGTKI Kecamatan Jonggat dengan melibatkan 26 orang pengelola PAUD di Kecamatan Jonggat Kabupaten Lombok Tengah sebagai sasaran penyuluhan. Pengabdian berproses dengan baik, pelaksanaan kegiatan sesuai dengan hasil koordinasi awal dan perencanaan yang sudah disusun sebelumnya, terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan peserta dari 55 (pre-test) menjadi 94 (post-test), dan terpenuhinya indikator keberhasilan proses penyuluhan. Untuk memaksimalkan capaian, disarankan agar pemerintah atau stakeholder lebih memperhatikan penyelenggaraan PAUD dengan cara memberikan dampingan dan pembinaan secara intens, termasuk dalam hal pengelolaan pembiayaan pendidikan yang berkelanjutan agar pengelolaan pendidikan menjadi lebih terarah, efektif, dan efisien menuju pendidikan bermutu untuk semua. Kata kunci: penyuluhan; manajemen; pembiayaan pendidikan berkelanjutan; pendidikan anak usia dini AbstractThis community service aims to reinforce sustainable education financing management to PAUD managers. The service is carried out directly by providing counseling through initial coordination, planning, implementation of counseling, control and evaluation, and preparation of reports. The strategic partner during the implementation of the service was IGTKI Jonggat Subdistrict involving 26 PAUD managers in Jonggat Subdistrict, Central Lombok Regency as the counseling target. The service process went well, the implementation of activities resulted from the initial coordination and planning that had been prepared previously, there was an increase in participant knowledge from 55 (pre-test) to 94 (post-test), and the fulfillment of the success indicators of the extension process. To maximize achievements, it is recommended that the government or stakeholders pay more attention to the implementation of PAUD by providing intense assistance and guidance, including in terms of sustainable education financing management so that education management becomes more directed, effective, and efficient towards quality education for all. Keywords: extension; management; financing continuing education; early childhood education

Abstract

Abstrak Tindakan kekerasan dalam lingkup rumah tangga dan komunitas masih terjadi, terindikasi belum tertangani dengan baik. Keterbatasan kapasitas perempuan dalam upaya pencegahan tindakan kekerasan karena faktor budaya, ketimpangan gender, dan minimnya akses informasi disinyalir menjadi faktor penentu. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan perempuan sebagai agen resiliensi sosial komunitas untuk mencegah tindakan kekerasan berbasis gender. Kegiatan berlokasi di Desa Menggala, Kecamatan Pemenang, Kabupaten Lombok Utara, melibatkan 35 orang perempuan sebagai peserta yang diyakini mampu terlibat aktif dalam pencegahan, advokasi kasus kekerasan, dan pengembangan jaringan perlindungan sosial berbasis lokal. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi koordinasi dan pemetaan sosial, peningkatan kapasitas, pembentukan Forum Perempuan Tangguh Desa Menggala, kampanye komunitas dan edukasi publik, monitoring, evaluasi, dan refleksi, serta publikasi. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan kapasitas perempuan, terbentuknya solidaritas komunitas, meningkatnya kesadaran kolektif pentingnya pencegahan dan penanganan kekerasan dalam keluarga dan masyarakat, serta terbentuknya forum perempuan tangguh Desa Mengala sebagai agen deteksi dini dan fasilitator dalam advokasi sosial. Kegiatan pengabdian tidak hanya berkontribusi pada pengurangan potensi kekerasan, tetapi juga memperkuat posisi perempuan sebagai penggerak perubahan sosial yang strategis di tingkat desa. Kata kunci: pemberdayaan perempuan; agen resiliensi; sosial; komunitas; tindakan kekerasan Abstract Violence within households and communities continues to occur, indicating that preventive measures have not been adequately addressed. The limited capacity of women to prevent violence due to cultural factors, gender inequality, and lack of access to information is believed to be a determining factor. This community service initiative aims to empower women as agent community social resilience for preventing gender-based violence. The activities are conducted in Menggala Village, Pemenang Sub-district, North Lombok District, involving 35 women as participants who are believed to be capable of actively engaging in prevention, advocacy for violence cases, and the development of locally-based social protection networks. The implementation of the activity involved stages of coordination and social mapping, training and capacity building, the formation of the Menggala Village Resilient Women's Forum, community campaigns and public education, monitoring, evaluation, and reflection, as well as publication and dissemination. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in women's capacity, the formation of community solidarity, heightened collective awareness of the importance of preventing and addressing violence within families and communities, and the establishment of the Menggala Village Resilient Women's Forum as an early detection agent and facilitator in social advocacy. The community service activity not only contributed to reducing the potential for violence but also strengthened women's positions as strategic agents of social change at the village level. Keywords: women's empowerment; resilience agents; social; community; acts of violence.

Abstract

The main challenge faced in Geography learning is memory decline, especially regarding spatial concepts that are often complex and abstract. The Forgetting Curve cognitive theory explains that human memory tends to decline over time if there is no organized repetition. This study aims to create an adaptive learning model based on the Forgetting Curve to improve student retention of spatial concepts in Geography. The method used in this study was a Research and Development approach with the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were 35 11th-grade students at MA Nurul Ittihad. Research data were obtained through test instruments to measure spatial knowledge retention, questionnaires about student perceptions, and observation sheets to assess the implementation of the model. The results of the study indicate that the adaptive learning model based on The Forgetting Curve has a very high feasibility level with an expert validation score of 87.9%. The model has also been proven to be practical, as demonstrated by an implementation success rate of 91.4% and student engagement of 86.2%. Cohen's d value of 3.80 indicates the model's high effectiveness in improving learning outcomes. The model is also effective in improving students' spatial concept retention, as reflected in the increase in pretest scores (61.04) to 77.75 (posttest), and remains high (73.91) on the delayed test. These findings confirm that implementing adaptive learning based on The Forgetting Curve can strengthen students' long-term retention of spatial concepts in Geography learning.
