Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan hasil belajar matematika siswa melalui pembelajaran pendekatan realistik dengan pembelajaran biasa, serta untuk mengetahui kesalahan yang dominan dilakukan oleh siswa melalui pendekatan realistik. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas VII MTs. Swasta Islamiyah Tanjung Kasau. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen. Sampel yang digunakan 22 siswa kelas VII-B dan kelas VII-A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan sebagai tes hasil belajar matematika adalah 5 soal berbentuk uraian. Dari hasil uji-t diperoleh nilai t hitung > t tabel (2,190 > 2,018) ,maka H0 ditolak. Sehingga hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VII di MTs. Swasta Islamiyah Tanjung Kasau melalui pembelajaran pendekatan realistik lebih tinggi dibanding pembelajaran biasa. Dari hasil persentase rata-rata pada kategori kesulitan, didapat bahwa pada kelas eksperimen persentase rata-rata kategori kesulitan konseptual sebesar 21%, pada kategori kesulitan prosedural sebesar 30% dan kesulitan teknik sebesar 34%. Dugaan faktor penyebab kesulitan teknik adalah ketidakpahaman siswa mengeni operasi hitung campuran.

Abstract

The difficulty of students in solving computational thinking (CT) problems related to the limit material of algebraic functions is that students do not understand the existing problems, difficulties regarding how the problem-solving pattern, difficulties when asked how to solve the problem, and difficulties when deciding and concluding from the problem. To overcome these difficulties, interactive multimedia is used, which is very important in modern education, it allows students to learn in a more interesting and interactive way, which can strengthen students' computational thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the Exploration of Computational Thinking ability in the concept of Limit algebraic function with interactive multimedia and to determine the student's response to the use of interactive multimedia on the computational thinking ability of students in the material limit algebraic function in the department of tadris mathematics IAIN Lhokseumawe. The method used in this research is pre-experimental method, with the research design used is One Group Pretest-Posttest (Initial Test-Final Test on a single group. The research subjects were 1st semester students majoring in Tadris Metematics IAIN Lhokseumawe academic year 2023/2024. The research results obtained 1) From the calculation of the t test obtained the results of Tcount amounting to 2.583 and Ttable 1.684 (Ttest Ttable) or the probability value Sig 2 tailed α (0.000 0.05), then the hypothesis decision can be stated Ho rejected and Ha accepted. Thus, there is a significant difference in the exploration of computational thinking ability in the concept of limit function algebra with interactive multimedia. 2) the average percentage of very good categories obtained a value of 86%, good 13%, less 1%. The difference from the results of student responses with good to very good criteria is influenced by attitudes that show enthusiastic positive responses to interactive multimedia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya kemampuan peserta didik MTs Muhammadiyah 29 Stabat dalam memecahkan masalah matematika. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan LKPD Berbasis Pendekatan Saintifik yangvalid, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Jenis penelitian mengacu pada Research and Developmentdengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII-1 MTs Muhammadiyah 29 Stabat sebanyak 26 orang. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji kevalidan, kepraktisan, keefektifan, dan N-Gain Score. Rata-rata nilai hasil uji kevalidan oleh validator mencapai angka 88,99dengan persentase sebesar 88,99% berkriteria sangat valid. Rata-rata hasil uji kepraktisan mencapi angka84,16 dengan persentase sebesar 84,16% berkriteria praktis. Keefektifan dilihat berdasarkan pada: 1) ketuntasan belajar kelas ≥ 85% ; 2) mencapai 75% tujuan pembelajaran; 3) respon peserta didik positif dengan nilai 83,33; dan 4) waktu pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan LKPD minimal sama dengan waktu yang dihabiskan dengan pembelajaran tanpa LKPD.

Abstract

Abstract: Mathematics is one of the important subjects to learn because its existence can help humans to solve various problems in everyday life. One of the roles and tasks of educators in order to maximize student learning opportunities is for students to have mathematical problem solving abilities. This is done so that students can solve problems in their lives. For this reason, educators in the process need to consider a learning model that can encourage students to achieve these abilities, namely the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model. The purpose of this study was to describe the extent to which the application of the Creative Problem Solving learning model in improving problem solving abilities. The research method is a literature review by searching for articles from the database. Articles were searched using keywords that had been determined by the researcher, so 19 articles were found to be analyzed. The results of the studies state that the Creative Problem Solving learning model can improve problem solving abilities. Keywords: creative problem solving; problem solving  Abstrak: Matematika merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang penting untuk dipelajari karena keberadaannya dapat membantu manusia untuk memecahkan berbagai masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Salah satu peran dan tugas pendidik dalam rangka memaksimalkan kesempatan belajar siswa adalah agar siswa memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Hal tersebut dilakukan agar siswa bisa menyelesaikan permasalahan didalam kehidupannya. Untuk itu, pendidik dalam prosesnya perlu mempertimbangkan model pembelajaran yang dapat mendorong siswa untuk mencapai kemampuan tersebut, yaitu model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan sejauh mana penerapan model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Metode penelitian berupa literature review dengan cara mencari artikel dari database. Artikel dicari dengan menggunakan kata kunci yang sudah ditentukan peneliti, sehingga ditemukan 19 artikel untuk dianalisis. Hasil penelitian-penetian menyatakan bahwa model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving dapat meningkatkan kepampuan pemecahan masalah. Kata kunci: creative problem solving; pemecahan masalah

Abstract

This research is crucial since students struggle with math. They want to "Analysis of Problem Solving Ability and Independent Learning Based on IT-Assisted PBL at Nurul Azizi Integrated Islamic Middle School" . This study is quantitative quasi-experimental. Fix IT issues Scholars value research and freedom. We tested eighth-graders at Nurul Azizi Integrated Islamic Middle School. Random VIII A and B have 30 students. Control and experimental groups are examined. VIIIB/VIIIA comparison. The control group employed conventional methods, while the experimental group used IT-based problem-based learning. Statistics-based research. A statistical analysis. Sample statistics predict a larger population. Parametric statistics estimates population parameters from distribution assumptions. Test a theory before experimenting. 1) Averages define typical. 2) Consistency unites. Three testable hypotheses tell or foretell. Discuss study results: Math issue-based instruction assists SMP IT Nurul 'Azizi pupils. This was expected as the experimental group scored 82.27 and the control 70. SMP IT Nurul 'Azizi's problem-based learning increases student autonomy more than conventional techniques with a 5% significance threshold (5.793>2.002) and a 2-way significant value (t-tailed) of 0.000. Compared to 74, the experimental group scored 85.83. SMP IT Nurul 'Azizi students' arithmetic problem-solving skills are linked to learning, with a 5% significant level (6.55>2.002) and 2-way t-tailed value of This study uses a two-way ANOVA with α = 0.05. At SMP IT Nurul 'Azizi, pupils' arithmetic competency was influenced by their learning model and baseline ability (p-value 0.05). This study uses a two-way ANOVA with α = 0.05. Abstract

The subjects of this qualitative descriptive research were class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Tarutung located in North Tapanuli Regency. The aim of this research is to determine and explain students' mathematical communication abilities when solving problems using Bruner's Theory. The data is in the form of written test results given to students to assess their mathematical communication skills in solving problems using Bruner's Theory. The results of the interview also consist of students' answers to verbal questions given to obtain additional information. Documentation data in the form of pictures and archives of test answers taken by class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Tarutung. Data collection methods include written tests, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out by reducing data, presenting and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that students' mathematical communication skills when solving problems use Bruner's Theory 43% of students with high mathematical communication skills were able to solve questions correctly and well, while 36% of students with moderate abilities could only meet some indicators, and 21% of students with low abilities could not meet all the indicators.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari pendekatan matematika realistik berbantuan media audio visual terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa lebih baik dari pembelajaran biasa. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian quasi eksperimental design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. Kelas VIII-5 selaku kelas eksperimen yang diberikan perlakuan menggunakan pendekatan matematika realistik berbantuan media audio visual, sedangkan kelas VIII-7 adalah kelas kontrol yang diberikan perlakuan menggunakan pembelajaran biasa. Test pretest dan posttest digunakan sebagai instrument dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh pendekatan matematika realistik berbantuan media audio visual (kelas eksperimen) lebih baik dari pembelajaran biasa (kelas kontrol) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dan setalah menggunakan pendekatan matematika realistik berbantuan media audio visual ketuntasan klasikal siswa lebih besar dari kelas kontrol. Hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji regresi linier sederhana diperoleh bahwa rhitung > rtabel (0,830> 0,361) dengan koefisien determinasi r square = 0,689 yang artinya beperngaruh sebesar 68,9% dan persentase ketuntasan klasikal pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 90%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the evaluation of computational thinking ability in understanding the limits of algebraic functions for students majoring in Tadris mathematics at Lhokseumawe State Islamic Institute. The research subjects were 1st semester students, totaling 6 students. Data collection techniques in this study used computational thinking ability tests and interviews, and then the data were analyzed based on computational thinking indicators, namely decomposition, pattern recognition, algorithm thinking, generalization, and abstraction. The results obtained from high computational thinking ability indicators that can be completed perfectly are decomposition, pattern recognition, algorithm thinking, and generalization/abtraction. With moderate computational thinking ability, students have been able to solve problems perfectly for indicators of decomposition and pattern recognition, but for indicators of thinking algorithms and generalizations or abstractions, they are still less precise. Low computational thinking ability has been able to measure decomposition indicators, but for pattern recognition indicators, thinking algorithms are still less precise in solving, while generalization and abstraction indicators do not answer.

Abstract

The purpose of this study to describe: 1) the validity, practicality and effectiveness of the interactive learning media assisted by RME-based Desmos which was developed to increase students' mathematical representation abilities and resilience at SMP N 1 Idi; 2) increasing students' mathematical representation abilities through interactive learning media assisted by the developed RME-based Desmos; 3) increasing student resilience through interactive learning media assisted by the developed RME-based Desmos. This study is development research using the Tessmer development model, formative evaluation type. This development model consists of two development stages, namely preliminary (determination) and prototyping (design and evaluation). From the outcomes of trial I and trial II it was gotten: 1) Interactive learning media assisted by RME-based Desmos to improve students' mathematical representation abilities and resilience which was developed met the criteria of being valid, practical and effective; 2) Increasing mathematical representation abilities using interactive learning media assisted by RME-based Desmos which has been developed as seen from the N-gain value in trial I of 0.41, increasing to 0.47 in trial II, meaning it is in the "medium" category; and 3) Increasing student resilience with the RME approach that has been developed as seen from the N-gain value in trial I of 0.33, increasing to 0.51 in trial II, meaning it is in the "medium” category. Based on the study outcomes, it is recommended that teachers use interactive learning media assisted by Desmos in learning straight line equations to improve students' mathematical representation abilities and resilience.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to enhance the students' ability to solve math problems and classical completeness of students in grade VIII SMP Negeri 10 Medan through Guided Discovery Learning model. This research is called Classroom Action Research (CAR) and carried out by two cycles, where each cycle includes the stages of planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reflection. The research subjects were 32 students of grade VIII-C SMP Negeri 10 Medan T.A 2023/2024. The object of this study is to enhance the math problem solving capability of students by applying the Guided Discovery Learning model on chance material. The results obtained from the initial ability test before applying the learning model that the average student score was 40.19. In cycle I, there was an increase with the average student score of 66.21 which was in the moderate category and there were 16 students (50%). Then in cycle II it increased with an average student score of 85.29 which is in high category and 29 students (90.62%). Thus the conclusions that can be drawn from this is the Guided Discovery Learning model can enhance the ability of students in grade VIII SMP Negeri 10 Medan to solve problems of math
