Abstract

The aim of this study is to enhance the students' ability to solve math problems and classical completeness of students in grade VIII SMP Negeri 10 Medan through Guided Discovery Learning model. This research is called Classroom Action Research (CAR) and carried out by two cycles, where each cycle includes the stages of planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reflection. The research subjects were 32 students of grade VIII-C SMP Negeri 10 Medan T.A 2023/2024. The object of this study is to enhance the math problem solving capability of students by applying the Guided Discovery Learning model on chance material. The results obtained from the initial ability test before applying the learning model that the average student score was 40.19. In cycle I, there was an increase with the average student score of 66.21 which was in the moderate category and there were 16 students (50%). Then in cycle II it increased with an average student score of 85.29 which is in high category and 29 students (90.62%). Thus the conclusions that can be drawn from this is the Guided Discovery Learning model can enhance the ability of students in grade VIII SMP Negeri 10 Medan to solve problems of math

Abstract

This research was conducted because there were still relatively low mathematics learning outcomes of students, students were less enthusiastic about conventional learning methods and they did not understand the concepts in learning mathematics. Therefore, innovation is needed in learning methods that can improve students' understanding of concepts and interest in learning. One model that is considered effective is the TGT model which can facilitate a more interesting and enjoyable learning experience. This community service is to determine the increase in student learning outcomes after the TGT Cooperative Learning Model was implemented. In addition, to determine the classical completeness of student learning outcomes after being taught using the learning model. Community service was held at MTS Islamiyah Belawan in the even semester of 2023/2024. Classroom action research is a type of research that is carried out in five stages: class presentation, group learning, games, tournaments and team awards. The instruments used are tests and observations. The results of the research are that by using the TGT cooperative learning model, the average value of student learning outcomes increased to 68.16 in the first cycle and 84.5 in the second cycle. In cycle I, classical learning completion increased from 53.34% to 86.67% when the TGT learning model was applied. Of the 30 students who took the test, 26 (86.67%) of them met the completion criteria, namely achieving a score greater than or equal to 75, while 4 (13.33%) did not meet the completion requirements. During cycle II, the average point score for observing learning implementation activities in the classroom was 91.27 with the best group. So it is concluded that students have better learning outcomes with the TGT learning model. Furthermore, the completion of their learning outcomes is classified as complete.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the improvement in mathematics learning outcomes of class This type of research is PTK which is carried out in two cycles. The subjects in this research were 31 students in class XI MIPA at R.A Kartini Private High School, Tebing Tinggi City. The instruments in this research consisted of tests and observation sheets. The results of data analysis in cycle I obtained an average class percentage of 74.51% and experienced an increase in cycle II, namely obtaining an average class percentage of 85.80%. And the results of the classical completeness analysis in cycle I got a percentage of 70.97%, namely there were 22 students who had reached the KKM, then classical completeness in cycle II got a percentage of 87.09%, namely there were 27 students who had reached the KKM. From this data, it can be seen that there was an increase in diagnostic tests, cycle I tests, and cycle II tests. The observation results indicate that the learning process using the Two Stay Two Stray type cooperative learning model is classified in the good category with a score of 3.31. Based on these data, the indicators for this research have been fulfilled. It was concluded that the application of the Two Stay Two Stray type cooperative learning model could improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class XI MIPA students at R.A Kartini Private High School, Tebing Tinggi City.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi efektivitas metode Bruner dalam mengembangkan penalaran matematika siswa sekolah dasar yang memiliki kesulitan dalam membaca. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi strategi dan metode yang efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan penalaran matematis pada siswa yang tidak bisa membaca.

Abstract

Masalah utama dalam penelitian ini adalah mengenai kemampuan siswa dalam menjawab soal operasi hitung bilangan bulat dengan menggunakan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (Problem Based Learning). Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari 3 tahapan yaitu pemberian soal Pretest, Penggunaan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (Problem Based Learning), dan pemberian soal Postest. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Cerdas Murni Tembung dengan jumlah siswa 28 orang. Tekhnik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes, observasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (Problem Based Learning) terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam menjawab soal operasi hitung bilangan bulat. Hal ini terlihat dari adanya kenaikan banyak siswa yang benar dalam menjawab soal Posttest dibandingkan dengan banyaknya siswa yang benar dalam menjawab soal Pretest. Dari hasil Pretest di peroleh hasil terdapat 15 atau (53,57%) siswa yang benar menjawab soal nomor 1. Terdapat 10 atau (35,71%) siswa yang benar menjawab soal nomor 2. Terdapat 13 atau (46,42%) siswa yang benar menjawab soal nomor 3. Dan terdapat 2 atau (7,14%) siswa yang benar menjawab soal nomor 4. Dari hasil Posttest diperoleh hasil terdapat 25 atau (89,29%) siswa benar menjawab soal nomor 1. Terdapat 24 atau (85,71%) siswa benar menjawab soal nomo 2. Terdapat 23 atau (82,14%) siswa benar menjawab soal nomor 3. Dan terdapat 20 atau (71,43%) siswa benar menjawab soal nomor 4.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the differences in students' mathematical communication skills through the mind mapping learning model better than those given regular learning, analyze the differences in students' interest in learning mathematics through the mind mapping learning model better than those given regular learning, analyze the interaction between learning and students' initial abilities on mathematical communication skills, analyze the interaction between learning and students' initial abilities on students' interest in learning mathematics at Padang Sidempuan City Elementary School. The sample was determined as many as 54 people consisting of 2 (two) classes. The research design used in this study was an experimental design with a 2x3 factorial. The results of the study concluded that students' mathematical communication skills were taught with the mind mapping learning model better than using regular learning. Students' mathematical communication skills have a high learning interest better than those with a low learning interest. There is an interaction between learning and initial mathematical abilities on students' mathematical communication abilities. There is an interaction between learning and initial mathematical abilities on students' learning interests.

Abstract

The sample was determined as 62 people consisting of 2 (two) classes. The research design used in this research is an experimental design with a 2x3 factorial. The results of the research concluded that students' mathematical problem-solving abilities through the picture and picture learning model assisted by video media were better than if they were given regular learning at SD Negeri 100312 Pargarut.an Jae Tapanuli Selatan. Students' motivation to learn mathematics through the picture and picture learning model assisted by video media is better than being given regular learning at SD Negeri 100312 Pargarutan Jae Tapanuli Selatan. Abstract

The research aims to describe the difference in influence between the CTL learning model assisted by learning videos and ordinary learning on students' mathematics learning outcomes, describe the difference in influence between the CTL learning model assisted by video learning and ordinary learning on students' learning motivation, describe the interaction between learning and students' initial abilities on results students' mathematics learning, and describing the interaction between learning and students' initial abilities on students' learning motivation at SDN 100106 Sibangkua, South Tapanuli Regency. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method because students' conditions cannot be controlled. The data analysis technique uses 2x3 factorial Anova. The population of this study were students at SD Negeri 100106 Sibangkua, South Tapanuli Regency for the 2021/2022 academic year. The sample consisted of 2 classes consisting of 1 experimental class and 1 control class. The experimental class with the CTL model was assisted by video learning and the control class was taught using regular learning. The results of the research concluded that there was a difference in students' mathematics learning outcomes using the video-based CTL learning model with an average of 78.83 compared to regular learning with an average of 67.67. There is a difference in students' learning motivation using the video-based CTL learning model with a score of 70.42 and regular learning with a score of 66.07. There is an interaction between the learning model and initial mathematics abilities on students' mathematics learning outcomes (0.006<0.06). There is an interaction between the learning model and initial mathematics abilities on students' learning motivation (0.001<0.05).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa melalui pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran biasa pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Tebing Tinggi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes kemampuan penalaran matematis pada kelas eksperimen (PBL) dan kelas kontrol (pembelajaran biasa). Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t menunjukkan bahwa thitung > ttabel yaitu 2,014 > 2,010, sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang diajar dengan model PBL lebih baik daripada yang diajar dengan pembelajaran biasa. Data pretest dan posttest menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan pada semua indikator penalaran matematis baik di kelas eksperimen maupun kelas kontrol, namun kelas eksperimen menunjukkan hasil yang lebih baik pada sebagian besar indikator. Pada indikator mengajukan dugaan, kelas kontrol lebih baik dengan persentase 76% dibandingkan kelas eksperimen 48%. Pada indikator melakukan manipulasi matematika, memeriksa kesahihan argumen, dan menarik kesimpulan, kelas eksperimen lebih unggul masing-masing dengan persentase 36%, 8%, dan 80%, sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya 12%, 4%, dan 60%. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran PBL efektif meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of Android media based on the realistic approach that was developed, (2) determine the increase in students' mathematical problem-solving skills using Android media based on the realistic approach that was developed. This research is development research. The development model used is the Plomp & Nieveen Development model which consists of three phases, namely the preliminary phase, the development or prototyping phase, and the assessment phase. Based on the results of trial I and trial II, it was found that: 1) Android media based on a realistic approach to improving students' mathematical problem-solving skills were developed which met the criteria of being valid, practical and effective; 2) Increasing problem-solving skill using Android media based on a realistic blended learning approach that has been developed as seen from the N-gain value in trial I of 0.55, increasing to 0.60 in trial II, meaning it is in the "medium" category.
