Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide the students and the lecturers with an appropriate instructional material that is in-line with the syllabus and fit the students’ needs. The research was conducted using the procedures of research and development (R&D) that consist of need assessment, planning, material development, evaluation and revision, field testing, and the last is final productrevision. The data were collected through interview, questionnaire, observation, field notes, and expert validation. The result of the research is that the product of the research is developed into ten units. Each unit was developed to contain three main sections, namely, reading section, grammar section, and speaking section. The instructional material also contains various exercises both written and spoken so that the students could be actively involved in the teaching and learning activities. The media included in the instructional material was selected to help the students in learning by providing media in multimedia format in theform of videos, songs, and dialogues and monologues. Students also could access websites that are suggested in the instructional material that contain online English games and additional materials.

Abstract

Urgensi dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana kinerja kepala sekolah dan gaya kepemimpinan berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kompetensi guru, yang merupakan faktor penting dalam menunjang kualitas pendidikan. Kepala sekolah tidak hanya berperan sebagai administrator, tetapi juga sebagai pemimpin yang mendorong pengembangan profesional guru. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDN Sukasari, Cileunyi, Bandung dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan melibatkan tiga puluh guru sebagai sampel. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan regresi linier berganda dengan pengujian asumsi normalitas, multikolinearitas, heteroskedastisitas, dan autokorelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja kepala sekolah memiliki koefisien regresi sebesar nol koma seratus tiga puluh dengan nilai signifikansi nol koma lima dua empat, sementara gaya kepemimpinan memiliki koefisien nol koma dua satu empat dengan signifikansi nol koma satu delapan lima. Keduanya tidak signifikan secara statistik karena nilai signifikansi lebih besar dari nol koma nol lima. Uji simultan juga menunjukkan tidak adanya pengaruh signifikan secara bersama-sama. Nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar nol koma satu satu delapan menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh kedua variabel hanya sebelas koma delapan persen terhadap kompetensi guru, sementara sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Meskipun hasilnya tidak signifikan, arah hubungan yang positif menunjukkan bahwa peran kepala sekolah tetap penting. Oleh karena itu, perlu perhatian lebih lanjut terhadap kinerja dan gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, serta eksplorasi faktor-faktor lain yang lebih dominan dalam mempengaruhi kompetensi guru.

Abstract

As English becomes increasingly global, particularly in Islamic university contexts, understanding students’ pronunciation goals is crucial for designing effective and culturally responsive instruction. This study explores the attitudes of English Education students at UIN Raden Intan Lampung toward native-like English pronunciation versus intelligibility. This study aims to examine students' beliefs, preferences, and challenges related to English pronunciation, focusing on their aspirations to sound native-like versus their practical need for intelligibility. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews and reflective journals involving purposively selected participants from various academic years. Thematic analysis was employed to identify recurring patterns and perspectives within the data. The findings reveal ten major themes: students' admiration for native-like pronunciation, prioritization of intelligibility, cultural and religious identity influence, pronunciation anxiety, exposure to diverse English accents, and the lack of explicit pronunciation instruction. While some students aspire to speak like native speakers for prestige or professionalism, most prioritize clear communication over accent imitation. Many students also desire to preserve their cultural identity and value intelligibility in real-life contexts such as classrooms and job interviews. The study highlights the importance of acknowledging learners’ identities, goals, and the role of English as a global lingua franca. These insights suggest the need for more inclusive, identity-affirming pronunciation pedagogy that balances clarity with cultural respect in EFL settings, particularly within Islamic higher education.

Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini, sebuah pendekatan telah diusulkan untuk mengatasi masalah dalam pengembangan aplikasi berbasis web pada PT. Bakrie Metal Industries dan penerapan sistem keamanan transaksi penjualan baja berbasis web, berbagai masalah seperti ancaman keamanan data dan ancaman ketergantungan pada satu sumber data telah diidentifikasi dan diatasi melalui pendekatan ini. Untuk penggunaan algoritma hashing ini melakukan sebuah enkripsi nilai dari id pemesanan customer yang akan dienkripsi atau dibuat kode secara acak untuk pengamanan data hasil pembelian dan ada berbagai metode pembayaran digital untuk melakukan transaksi yang aman. Untuk mengumpulkan data, dokumentasi API, studi pusaka dan observasi digunakan untuk menemukan kumpulan daftar data hasil penjualan dan payment gateway dengan mengintegrasikan API ke aplikasi yang sedang dikembangkan. Kesimpulan dari sistem keamanan transaksi, metode yang diusulkan memberikan pendekatan yang komprehensif untuk melindungi data transaksi dengan menggunakan algoritma hashing, pendekatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan kerangka kerja yang komprehensif dalam mengatasi permasalahan yang muncul dalam pengembangan aplikasi web, penggunaan data dan keamanan transaksi secara online, sehingga meningkatkan kenyamaan dan keamanan sistem secara keseluruhan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK) dalam proses seleksi karyawan terbaik di PT. XYZ menggunakan algoritma Random Forest. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi perusahaan adalah proses penilaian karyawan yang masih dilakukan secara manual melalui Microsoft Excel, sehingga rawan terhadap kesalahan perhitungan, duplikasi data, serta memerlukan waktu yang lama untuk menentukan karyawan berprestasi. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, penelitian ini mengusulkan penerapan sistem berbasis web yang terintegrasi dengan model klasifikasi machine learning guna meningkatkan efisiensi dan objektivitas proses evaluasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi tiga tahap pengumpulan data, yaitu studi pustaka, observasi, dan wawancara. Proses pengembangan sistem dilakukan menggunakan model Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) dengan pendekatan Waterfall, yang mencakup tahapan perencanaan, analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu menampilkan hasil penilaian karyawan berdasarkan empat kriteria utama: kedisiplinan, kinerja, sikap kerja, dan keahlian, yang kemudian diolah menggunakan algoritma Random Forest untuk menentukan peringkat akhir. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Random Forest memberikan tingkat akurasi yang tinggi dalam proses klasifikasi dengan nilai akurasi mencapai 91,2%, serta menghasilkan peringkat karyawan yang konsisten dengan hasil evaluasi HRD. Sistem ini juga dilengkapi dengan antarmuka pengguna yang sederhana dan informatif, yang memudahkan admin, HRD, dan karyawan dalam mengakses informasi sesuai hak akses masing-masing. Secara keseluruhan, penerapan algoritma Random Forest dalam sistem pendukung keputusan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kecepatan, objektivitas, dan transparansi proses penilaian karyawan di PT. XYZ.

Abstract

Education is a process of maturing a person, including the method of education that must be considered, especially during the elementary school years, as students tend to imitate. The purpose of this study was to determine the integration of Bandura's theory with the concept of Islamic education. The method employed was a mixed-methods approach (qualitative and quantitative) involving a quasi-experimental design and interviews. The findings revealed a strong convergence between Bandura's social cognitive learning theory and the concept of Islamic moral education. Data from 15 case studies showed that 78% of schools that systematically implemented teacher role modeling experienced significant improvements in student behavior.

Abstract

This research discusses speech act analysis, focusing on assertive and commissive illocutionary speech acts in Simon Sinek’s speech. The subject of this research is a video of Simon Sinek’s speech. This research aims to identify the types and functions of assertive and commissive speech acts used in Simon Sinek's speeches based on Searle and Vanderveken's theory. The design of this research is qualitative descriptive, using documentation to obtain data. In analyzing the data, the researcher followed steps by Miles and Huberman, which include data collection, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the analysis of Simon Sinek's speech video revealed a total of 56 utterances categorized as assertive and commissive speech acts. Among the assertive acts, there were 1 instance of asserting, 3 of claiming, 6 of affirming, 5 of stating, 5 of reporting, 4 of informing, 5 of notifying, 4 of reminding, 3 of predicting, and 8 of suggesting. Notably, there were no utterances classified as admitting. Among the commissive acts, there were 3 instances of consenting, 4 of refusing, 4 of offering, and 1 of threatening. Based on the findings, assertive illocutionary speech acts were more dominant than commissive speech acts

Abstract

Speaking ability is an important component in English language learning that enables students to communicate effectively. This study examines the influence of students' English course background on their speaking ability at Ma'had Al Jami'ah, UIN Raden Intan Lampung. Using a qualitative design, data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and documentation from ten English Education students who had previous course experience. The data were analyzed through thematic analysis to identify patterns and categories related to course duration, frequency, and teaching methods. The results show that differences in course duration, frequency, and teaching methods affect vocabulary mastery, fluency, and confidence. Intensive camp-based programs that provide daily practice and exposure to English result in greater improvements in speaking skills, while short-term or grammar-focused courses result in limited progress. In addition, the Ma'had environment, which integrates structured language programs and daily use of English, plays a crucial role in strengthening and accelerating students' oral skills. This study concludes that English courses provide a foundation for speaking proficiency, but consistent practice and a supportive environment are the main factors that strengthen students' communicative competence.

Abstract

Pemilihan kepala daerah atau pilkada merupakan pesta demokrasi di tingkat lokal untuk memilih pemimpinnya secara langsung, umum, bebas, rahasia, jujur dan adil, serta bersih bebas dari kecurangan. Namun dalam pelaksanaannya seringkali menimbulkan permasalahan terutama masalah data pemilih dan kecurangan pada saat rekapitulasi suara baik di tingkat TPS, tingkat Kecamatan dan Kabupaten/Kota, serta Provinsi. Selain itu, membutuhkan anggaran yang cukup besar untuk sumberdaya penyelenggaraan pilkada seperti biaya pembuatan TPS, kertas, tinta, kotak suara dan lain sebagainya. Seperi halnya kotak suara yang setiap pilkada mengalami perubahan dan menelan anggaran yang sangat besar. Permasalahan ini tentunya dapat diminimalisir melalui penggunaan teknologi seiring kemajuan dan perkembangan teknologi di era Industri 4.0. Sebagai alternatif adalah diterapkannya pilkada elektronik atau e-pilkada. Melalui penggunaan e-pilkada tersebut diharapkan terwujudnya pilkada yang jujur, adil dan bersih, serta efisien, efektif dan akuntabel sebagai pesta demokrasi di tingkat daerah

Abstract

Land development for peanut plantation is important as one of the efforts to increase peanut production in Indonesia. Land development guidance map that is overlayed with land cover map based on Landsat data can be used as a reference for the implementation. This research was aimed to analyze land development for peanut plantation in West Java based on the existing land suitability map and land cover map from Landsat ETM + in the 2002, and to determine potential areas for peanut plantation based on land suitability and land cover using geographic information system. The result shows that the greater part of the area for peanut plantation in the research area is on the land ranging in low to medium potential although during 3 years (1999-2001) the plant productivity was relatively moderate to high (10,94 - 15,97 kw/ha). Meanwhile, the area that is potential to develop as peanut plantation area in the research area of northern West Java is in Bogor Regenc, particularly around Tinarjaya. The land coverage in the 2002 that was suitable for peanut plantation development area was still shrub (1.201,14 ha), bare land (395,37 ha), rain-fed paddy field (285,75 ha), and dry land (234,63 ha).
