Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of inquiry-based e-comic media on students' scientific literacy abilities and to determine students' responses to inquiry-based e-comic. This type of research is a quasi experiment; The sample in the study was taken using the cluster random sampling technique; The research data was taken through the pretest and posttest to see the increase in scientific literacy skills after the learning process while the use of a questionnaire in the experimental class was used to find out students' responses to e-comic media; The results showed that there was a significant effect of the use of inquiry-based e-comic media on students' scientific literacy skills with a significance value of the independent sample t-test of 0.000 or less than 0.05; The results of the questionnaire on student responses to inquiry-based e-comic media obtained an average percentage of 86% in the very good category ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media ecomic berbasis inquiry terhadap kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik serta mengetahui tanggapan peserta didik terhadap e-comic berbasis inquiry. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen; Sampel dalam penelitian diambil menggunakan teknik Cluster random sampling; Data penelitian diambil melalui pretest dan posttest untuk melihat peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains setelah proses pembelajaran sedangkan penggunaan angket di kelas eksperimen digunakan untuk mengetahui tanggapan peserta didik terhadap media e-comic; Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan media ecomic berbasis inquiry terhadap kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik dengan nilai signifikansi uji independent sample t-test 0,000 atau kurang dari 0,05; Hasil angket tanggapan peserta didik terhadap media media ecomic berbasis inquiry diperoleh rata-rata persentase 86% dengan kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the PjBL model with the Bio-Entrepreneurship (BEP) approach to scientific literacy abilities and life skills. The method used was quasi-experimental with a pretest posttest non-equivalent control group research design. The sample for this research consisted of 71 students consisting of experimental classes and control classes, using a purposive sampling technique. The results of research on scientific literacy abilities show that the average N-Gain in the experimental class is 0.67 with medium criteria, while the control class average N-Gain is 0.28 with low criteria. The results of life skill abilities after being given treatment in the experimental class increased higher with an average of 78.63 compared to those in the control class with an average of 51.74. Thus, this research shows significant implications for students' abilities in developing real projects by combining aspects of entrepreneurship and biological concepts in everyday life.ABSTRAK: This study aims to analyze the PjBL model with a Bio-Entrepreneurship (BEP) approach to science literacy and life skills. Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine whether the implementation of LW Napai-STEM learning can enhance students' creative thinking (CT) and communication skills. The research method used is a quasi-experimental approach using a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The N-gain of creative thinking skills tested using the Independent Sample t-Test with a significance level of 5% obtained a Sig. (2 tailed) value of 0.01 <0.05. The average N-gain in the experimental class was 0.56 in the "moderate" category while the control class was 0.29 in the "low" category. This shows that there is a significant influence of the implementation of STEM learning based on local wisdom of napai (LW-STEM) on students' creative thinking skills and the effect size is categorized as large. The conclusion of this study is that STEM learning based on local wisdom of napai (LW-STEM) has an effect on students' creative thinking and communication skills, both oral and written. Pembelajaran STEM berbasis Kearifan Lokal Napai (LW-STEM) untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berpikir Kreatif dan Komunikasi Siswa ABSTRAK: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pembelajaran LW Napai-STEM dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif (CT) dan komunikasi siswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan quasi-eksperimental melalui desain penelitian non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest. N-gain kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang diuji menggunakan uji Independent Sample t-Test dengan taraf signifikansi 5% didapatkan nilai Sig. (2 tailed) 0,01 < 0,05. Rerata N-gain pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,56 dalam kategori “sedang” sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,29 dalam kategori “rendah”. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan implementasi pembelajaran STEM berbasis kearifan lokal napai(LW-STEM) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa serta effect size berkategori besar. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran STEM berbasis kearifan lokal napai (LW-STEM) berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan komunikasi baik lisan maupun tertulis siswa.

Abstract

Seiring meningkatnya tren temuan kasus penyakit infeksi menular seksual di Indonesia, maka kesehatan organ reproduksi menjadi aspek penting yang harus diperhatikan oleh remaja saat ini. Kegiatan ini ditujukan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman sekaligus mengoptimalkan perilaku sehat remaja melalui pemberian sosialisasi tentang sistem reproduksi manusia. Metode penyuluhan serta sosialisasi yang digunakan adalah ceramah dan diskusi interaktif secara daring melalui aplikasi Zoom Meeting. Peserta kegiatan adalah 28 siswa SMPN Satu Atap 1 Pagar Dewa di Lampung Barat. Perubahan pemahaman dan perilaku diukur melalui angket dan soal yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan. Hasil pengukuran dengan angket menunjukkan adanya perubahan perilaku ke arah yang lebih positif, di antaranya terkait kebiasaan buruk jarang membersihkan organ kelamin, kebiasaan menggunakan celana ketat, dan kebiasaan menahan untuk buang air kecil. Kemudian, hasil angket juga menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap dampak perilaku seks bebas serta dan kemauan untuk mengkomunikasikan permasalahan pada organ reproduksi yang di alami dengan orang tua. Hasil pengukuran menggunakan soal juga menunjukkan hasil yang sama, dimana terjadi peningkatan berdasarkan nilai rerata N-Gain, yakni 0,09, meski dengan kategori rendah. Dengan demikian, kegiatan sosialisasi ini berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kesadaran peserta kegiatan terhadap kesehatan organ reproduksi, mendorong perubahan perilaku yang lebih sehat, dan mencegah meningkatnya tren penyakit infeksi menular seksual di kalangan remaja

Abstract

This study investigated the effect of using a video-assisted problem-based learning model on class VII students' critical thinking abilities on environmental pollution material. This research was conducted using quasi-experimental research design with a non-equivalent control group. The research data were in the form of qualitative data (critical thinking skills) and quantitative (student responses to learning using the video-assisted PBL model). Data analysis used the T-test (p<0.05). The results showed that there was an influence of using the video-assisted PBL model on students' critical thinking skills on environmental pollution material (p<0.05). The indicator for building basic skills obtained the highest average N-gain, namely 0.82 in the very good category. Meanwhile, the results of the student response questionnaire regarding the use of the video-assisted PBL model showed positive student responses with an average score of 89.67% in the very good category.         Keywords: critical thinking skills, PBL, environmental pollution and video. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v25i1.pp486-495

Abstract

The aim of the research is to develop a peer scaffolding-based learning program to equip prospective science teacher students with the ability to develop performance appraisals. This program was developed using a 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate), the development of which has reached the stage of feasibility testing (Develop). Data collection techniques with questionnaires to measure the validity of the feasibility of learning programs and essay tests for the ability to develop performance appraisals. The results of this study indicate that the learning program developed got an average score of 4.00 (very valid category) in all aspects of feasibility. The results of the program trial show that there is an increase in student abilities seen from their N-gain (0.41: moderate criteria). Improvement in the aspect of the ability to understand the scope of the assessment with “low” criteria (0.036), planning an assessment with “medium” criteria (0.72). Based on this, it is concluded that the program developed is quite effective in providing performance appraisal skills for prospective science teacher students.Keywords: learning program, peer scaffolding, performance assessment.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i1.pp284-293

Abstract

The ability of students to use Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is still not optimally integrated with learning. Even though most students already have gadgets, internet connections are available via campus hotspots. Based on this, learning in higher education cannot be separated from the use of computerized and online-based technology. The integration of ICT into vclass-based multimedia learning is a potential thing to develop. This vclass-based multimedia application is expected to improve habits of mind and conceptual understanding of biology cell of students. Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of the discovery learning models using a google classroom to develop the scientific literacy abilities. The sample of this research is tenth grade students of science 2 and science 3 groups which are selected through purposive sampling technique. The data are analyzed statistically with an independent sample t-test. The average results of the N-gain scientific literacy ability of the experimental class (0.45 ± 0.11) with medium category and the control class (0.29 ± 0.14) with low category. The average percentage for student presentations is 83.75%, while the learning implementation observation sheet has a 94.4%. The results showed that there is a significant effect of using online discovery learning in google classroom environment towards the improvement of scientific literacy skills of tenth graders students in ecosystems topics.Keywords: discovery learning, scientific literacy, google classroom.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i1.pp316-326

Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan mitigasi pencemaran lingkungan bagi guru-guru SD di Kecamatan Tanjung Karang Pusat Kota Bandar Lampung bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam menghadapi dan merespons dapak dari pencemaran lingkungan yang mungkin terjadi di wilayah mereka. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan meliputi pretest, penyampaian materi, diskusi, simulasi, dan posttest. Pelatihan dimulai dengan pretest untuk mengevaluasi pengetahuan awal peserta. Selanjutnya, materi disampaikan melalui sesi interaktif yang melibatkan diskusi tentang penyebab dan dampak bencana serta strategi mitigasi yang efektif. Selama sesi ini, peserta diajak untuk berbagi pengalaman dan pengetahuan mereka tentang bencana. Di akhir kegiatan dilaksanakan posttest untuk melihat kemampuan Guru-guru SD di Kecamatan Tanjung Karang Pusat Kota Bandar Lampung mengenai mitigasi pencemaran lingkungan. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menghasilkan guru-guru SD di Kecamatan Tanjung Karang Pusat Kota Bandar Lampung yang mampu menyusun rencana tanggap darurat, mengidentifikasi risiko bencana, serta memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa tentang langkah-langkah mitigasi yang dapat dilakukan. Hasil dari kegiatan yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan: (a) adanya peningkatan pemahaman guru mengenai pembelajaran berbasis mitigasi pencemaran lingkungan, yang terlihat dari perbedaan kemampuan sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti kegiatan; (b) meningkatnya wawasan guru terkait merancang pembelajaran berbasis mitigasi pencemaran lingkungan, (c) Selain meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam mendesain pembelajaran berbasis mitigasi pencemaran lingkungan, kegiatan pelatihan ini juga memperoleh penilaian kepuasan yang sangat baik dari para peserta. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan yang dilaksanakan efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan kreativitas guru dalam medesain pembelajaran berbasis mitigasi pencemaran lingkungan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kondisi ekosistem di Bukit Umbul Kunci, Pesawaran, Lampung, yang belum diketahui struktur komunitas makrofauna yang dapat menjadi indikator stabilitas dan kesehatan habitat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Indeks Dominansi, Indeks Keanekaragaman, dan Indeks Kemerataan jenis makrofauna dengan menggunakan metode Line Transect dan Pitfall Trap. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada tiga titik pengamatan, meliputi area landai, kawasan lereng, dan tepian sungai. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa metode Line Transect dan Pitfall Trap menghasilkan nilai indeks dominansi rendah 0,143 dan 0,426, indeks keanekaragaman jenis sedang 2,004 pada metode line transect dan 1,014 pada pitfall trap, dan indeks kemerataan tinggi 1,0 pada line transect dan 0,6 pada pitfall trap. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis bagaimana distribusi makrofauna di Bukit Umbul Kunci melalui parameter dominansi, keanekaragaman dan kemerataan jenis sebagai indikator struktur komunitas.
