Abstract

This research was conducted in the District of Tampan, Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this study was to find out what the reasons are owned by the student to work as mosque marabouts while conducting lectures in District of Tampan Pekanbaru City. The focal point of this study is any reason for a student to work as marabouts mosque in the District of Tampan, Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted in three students who study while working as mosque marabouts by three mosques where the mosque is determined base dont heuse of purposive sampling technique. The study used observation, indepth interview sand documentation. Researchers found that there are several reason sstudents college while working as mosque marabouts is as follows: dueto economic factors, and non-economic, Non-economic form: worship, hobby, researchers found that the subject sofresearch work because they want to be closeto the Almighty, theim pulset olive independently, the researchers found that the study subject swould like to help the economy of his family and also wanted to have an independent attitude. There is a pattern of division of time between the time the subject of research work, college, and recreation as well as the following: the division of the average college research subject canmanage their college studies whilst working so that the research subjects did not neglect their college studies because of their job. The division of time worked, on average, the study subjects did not neglect their work even though they are second priority and their studies are their priorities. The division of recreation time, on average the study subjects have recreation time to relieve their work stress and their college study stress, some of the options of recreation time subjects are hanging out with friends, exercising, rest, playing music, and tour some recreational places.  Keywords: College Students, Marabouts, Rational Action.

Abstract

Post April 9, 2009 on previously scheduled to take place on April 5, 2009 agoconstitutemilestone in the political history of modern Indonesia in the context of the implementation of the General Legislative Elections with elected representatives of the people in this case to choose legislators Pekanbaru by using a majority vote system of election at this stage of the Open List Proportional system mechanisms that can provide the same opportunity for anyone who wants to become a legislator has completed the democratic system in the field of institutions - political institutions in Indonesia . In the case of urban society pekanbaru faced with a choice to be able to determine simultaneously choose 45 members legisatif second level of Pekanbaru City Council candidates are available as 618 participants competed the Legislative General Election.In the composition of the increasingly limited, the emotional sentiment - was in fact still a primordial reasons and motives in choosing a figure or figures someone who deserves to be served as a legislator. Seen with the effort as do various strategies held by the Legislative Candidates for their vote and win the competition Legislative General Election in Pekanbaru city in 2009. Strategies used include Dor to Dor Come to Every Home Community, Enabling More Success Team, Open Campaign and others - others. In general, 6people of responden a sample of researchers consisting of 2 persons from each party, candidate 1 wins and 1 defeat candidates from each party are available as three types of political parties.In this study population is all Pekanbaru City Legislative Candidates who competed in the 2009 general election. Researchers used for the determination of respondent Quota Sampling. In order to determine who include members of the research sample should first determine the desired respondent. To know about ways and strategies used by the candidates, researchers looked at the status and background of each candidate. In this sampling investigators decide the number of samples per each - each stratum (membership type) tamap random.In this research, using qualitative research model description. The subjects of this study are candidates of Golkar Party with the principle of nationalism, the principle of Joint Democratic Nationalism - Religious and PDS with religious principle.Screening instrument data used is interviews, documentation and literature searches. The data analysis technique used is a qualitative description. The theory used for the formulation of strategy and motive problems in reaching sound Legislative Candidates in the General Election year 2009 is Theory of Action and the Theory of Social Action of the experts Sociology ie, Max Webber and Talcott Parsons.Keywords: Strategy

Abstract

This research was conducted in Pinang village of Tualang Subdistrict of Siak District. Thepurpose of this study was to analyze the dynamics of the life of a motor boat puller in PinangSatu village, how the social capital of towing a motorboat, and how the strategy in survival. Thetheory used is the strategy of survival, social adaptation, and social capital. The analysis used inthe problem questioning in this research is qualitative with descriptive approach which is thenanalyzed based on the theory and presented in the narrative qualitatively, the data retrievaltechnique in this research is the porposive sampling where the number of informants in thisresearch is 5 people. From the results of the research in the field of motor boat pullers establishthree strategies in survival which is an active strategy by exploiting the potential of the familyby looking for a side job and include family members in work, passive strataegi by pressing theamount of expenditure or by frugality, then apply a network strategy that is with Establishrelationships with relatives or other relations. Further social capital that occurs among fellowtowing workers, owners with boat towing workers, towing boats with passengers, and towingworkers boat to the community around that is by applying social capital, economic capital, andcultural capital.Keywords: Towboat Motor Boat, Endurance Strategy, Social Capital

Abstract

This study aimed to obtain data and information on: (1) Improving the Promotion attractions Bono in Teluk Meranti Pelalawan Riau (2) Obstacles encountered by the Government to meningkatkankan promotion of attractions Bono in Teluk Meranti Pelalawan Riau (3) Strategy undertaken by the government to improve the promotion of attractions Bono in Teluk Meranti PelalawanThis type of research is descriptive qualitative using interviews, observation and research directly spaciousness. Furthermore, the data collected through the interview,observation, after the research data obtained then the data were analyzed through imaging techniques with the words.The results of research in the field as follows: a) Promotional Efforts made by the government Specifically the Department of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports Namely Through Advertising, Sales Promotion, Personal Selling, Direct Marketing and quite good. b) Obstacles encountered Improving the Government in the promotion Barriers attractions Bono among others: Lack of Facilities and Infrastructure, yet Optimally promotion and marketing program, not yet optimal preservation Development and Management attractions Bono. c) Strategies undertaken by the government in improving the Promotion attractions Bono namely: Utilizing a variety of means of information media as a way to promote the attraction bono to the local tourist and International, Improving the quality of facilities and infrastructures in tourist sites, Cooperating with the tourism businessmen or investors according to their respective fields.Key Word: Bono Attractions, Promotion, Strategy

Abstract

This research is to study analyzes the society perceptions about the meanings of agate. This phenomenon is a social phenomenon that occurs in people who have or collect agates and the way they wear an agate. The theory used is the theory of social behavior and a symbolic interactionalism. Data analysis was conducted to address the existing problems in this research is qualitative descriptive approach further analyzed based on the theories in the study and the techniques of data collection in this research is snowball sampling where the number of informants is 7 people consisting of a leader of the neighborhood (RT), a leadear of the Karang Taruna, one student and four membes of the society. Research result showed the meaning of agate stone has a good meaning to society. Society using an agate as an accessory, but some society use that because of the magical power which are contained in agate stone. Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out how the effort and obstacles of ex-prisoner in doing adaptation. In choosing the sample of this research, the writer used purposive sampling technique which choosen bases on criteria. The quantity of informant in this research was 5 person. The theory used in this research is adaptation theory constructed by Robert. K. Merton. After analyzing the data researcher found that the exprisoner tried some effort in doing adaption there were change the way they clothing and their attitude, follow the habitualof their society and build interaction. The most effort who give significant effect to the ex-prisoner is build interaction and follow the habitual of society. Then the obstacles that faced by ex-prisoner is they attract their themselves from society because of unconfident to build the interaction. Abstract

The research was conducted in Simalinyang village, Kampar Distric. The purpose of this study is to know the knowledge of people/patients about diseases and to know knowing the background of the people choose to come to traditional treatment of fractures. The focus topic of this research is knowing the community/patient knowledge about the disease. The samples in this study amounted to 5 people. The authors use qualitative methods and use the Accidental Sampling retrieval technique. Data instruments are observations, interviews and documentation. From the research conducted, the authors found that all research subjects or people in Simalinyang village generally know well the conformity of bone fractures with drugs used by herbalists. Research finds that not all research subjects or communities know the types of fractures experienced. From research conducted, only one person of research subject knows about the types of fractures. Researchers found that all research subjects gained healing from traditional medicine in approximately three months.  The traditional treatment of fractures carried out research subjects, the cost of treatment is set based on the type of fractures. In addition, patients can treat the cost of treatment. The patient has an emotional attitude with the shamans who treat it. That is, from hereditary family of patients already have treatment in bone fractures. Abstract

This research was conducted at the Santa Maria High School in Pekanbaru City whose object of research was Moslem students and parents who chose schools at the Santa Maria High School in Pekanbaru City. This study aims to see and know what motivates students and parents to choose to go to school with religious nuances that are different from the religion adopted. This study uses qualitative methods, namely the efforts made by working with data, organizing data, sorting it into units that can be managed by finding and finding patterns, also finding what is important and what is learned, and deciding what can later be told to other people. in this study there were 8 (eight) subjects who in the school there were only 4 (four) Moslem students who attended the school and therefore the researchers also examined 4 (four) parents of these students as subjects. The results of this study state that Moslem students motivated to continue their education in Catholic nuances schools are due to the quality possessed by schools, as well as parents who want their children to be disciplined and smarter, with which they choose the school of Santa Maria as a place to seek knowledge. This is based on self-decision, interest in talent, and their ideals are also based on encouragement from parents.

Abstract

This study was conducted in the city of Pekanbaru province of Riau. The purpose of this research is To know how the consumption of the life of the student City’s Pekanbaru. This study titled “Pola Konsumtif Life Student City’s Pekanbaru province of Riau”. The focus of this research is How the impact of the behavior of konsumtif students against the value of academic as well as the lecture bersistem activities in the city of Pekanbaru. The writer just taking a sample of Research take as much as 5 people students. The writer use a technique Snowball Sampling in determine the respondents in the study. Students who studied is students who have a tendency to make fun of as the purpose of life (hedonism), make a collection of personal as the primary (shopaholic) and the pattern of who knows no bounds (seksualisme). The writer using the thedescriptive kualitatif. Instruments data is observations, the interview, and the documentation. The results of research suggests that In research conducted the researchers found some patterns behavior konsumtif students Riau University namely Pola Konsumtif Shopaholic (On this pattern student is an individual who is very excessive in the use of money, time and of them. Informants dreadfully extravagant in shopping. Not only in belana, informant also involved in the of young people who waste of time for the sake of personal pleasures. The pattern Konsumtif Hedonisme (On this pattern the researchers found that the informant deliberately looking for fun in continuous in order to eliminate the burden of them. Abstract

This research was conducted in Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this research is to know the features of services which are more profitable drivers between Go-Ride and Go-Food services. The focus topic of this research is contributing factors that drive Go-Ride and Go-Food services to the advantage. The authors use qualitative methods and use accidental sampling techniques. Data instruments are observations, interviews, polls and documentation. The study found that the more profitable feature of the Go-Jek Driver service was the Go-Ride service fiture. In research found that all active drivers perform the Go-Ride service but not for Go-Food services. What causes the Go-Ride service to provide a lot of advantages for drivers is due to fixed earnings and many points of Go-Ride service. Whereas from the Go-Food service is not at all donated a lot of points on the driver in one week. Research also finds are some of the factors that drive Go-Ride and Go-Food services to provide benefits for drivers. Consumers are limited to the accessibility and situation and condition of Customer. Each customer goal varies. These different objectives are the advantages of drivers as the farther the goal of the interbank tariff increases.  Not infrequently Go-Ride services are required to make an emergency order (e.g. delivering the sick person), and not infrequently Go-Food services are requested to obtain other items that are not on the order list. However, drivers still follow the customer's wishes while within the fairness boundary.
