Abstract

The process of learning to read the Quran usually begins to learn the Hijaiyah letter in advance using Iqro' method developed by KH. As'ad Humam. In General, to evaluate reading the students in particular readings of the letter Hijaiyah Iqro methods ' to be done face-to-face with Ustaz and done in the room. It became a problem because of the limitations of time and place. Previous research using speech to text technology to determine right or wrong readings with convert speech into text and then compared with a text that has been prepared. The solution does not cover makhraj aspect of the assessment for assessing a person's ability in reading the hijaiyah letter. This research developing Android app by adopting assessment methods in general karaoke scoring function to yield a score. In this study the score will be shown as a result of the evaluation of the sound readings of people who are learning the Iqro' compared to data already audio file ustaz. The evaluation was conducted using the sound parameters pitch, volume and rhythm using the formula that had been adjusted to control the distribution of score in the range 0 - 100. Score in this paper means overall score range 0 until 100 with weight of pitch, volume and rhythm 0.45, 0.16, and 0.39. Test conducted with 10 respondents with each of the respondents read the reading sample iqro' 1, 2, 3 and as much as 1 content that generates 30 audio files. The correlation coefficient using Pearson between a manual assessment by Ustaz and the application of each 0.034, 0.51 and -0.17 which means the level weak, moderate and weak category.

Abstract

Sports is one of the most important activites in human life. Sports can help maintain our health and fitness so that we can always be ready to do our everyday things. Unfortunately, in this modern era many people fail to keep their sports routines with various reasons. One of the reasons is the lack of friend to do sports with which lowers our motivation to do sport. By using smartphone technology, this research offers a solution with an application named “Sportyway” which is a location-based friend finder application for spors activities. Besides increasing sport participation level in Indonesia's citizen, this application can help find new friends and help people to do sports regularly. In the development, this research uses Scrum method as its software development lifecycle. There are four processes in this research which is requirements analysis, design, implementation, and system testing. Requirements analysis produces ten functional requirements and two non-functional requirements. Obtained requirements then used as a guide to design the class diagram, activity diagram, database design, and algorithm design. From the design, program code implemented in Typescript programming language and using React Native framework. After implemented, system testing is the conducted using validation testing to make suree all features work well and usability testing to measure user satisfaction and ease in using developed application.

Abstract

In the year 2018, the Malang region has produced 659,88 tonnes of waste on a daily basis and the rate gradually increases directly proportional to the number of the local population. Indonesia is ranked the second biggest contributor to the amount of plastic waste produced worldwide, second to China. Plastic waste is usually managed by means of burning, but this leads to fumes that are harmful to humans and wildlife. This research aims to apply a IBM Cognitive Service that able to analyze objects to manage recyclable waste using image recognitions technology. IBM Cognitive Service has ability to caption images with an accuracy rate of 89%. This application uses YouTube API to show users on how to manage recycable waste and to support a content search feature and a playlist that is integrated with IBM Watson Visual Recognitions which has the ability to analyze objects. The testing methods used by this application development is called SUS (System Usability Scale) which uses 10 question to measure the score, whitebox testing method, and blackbox testing method. The results from System Usability Scale (SUS) measure at 79.5. This shows that the application is categorized as acceptable in acceptable ranges, categorized with a B grade in grade scales, and categorized as good in an adjective rating. The results from the whitebox and blackbox testing methods are deemed valid, because they have fulfilled the necessary requirements.

Abstract

Hypertension is a blood pressure disease which blood pressure value is above normal. Hypertension may caused by age, work, lifestyle such as smoking, and blood pressure. The number of deaths from hypertension reaches 6% of the death population at all ages in Indonesia. From these problems, a system called Blood Care was created. The Blood Care application is a system that scans blood pressure through the fingertips of users using image processing. The results of the blood pressure will be processed further using the naive bayes method to obtain a calculation risk for hypertension. After data the data such as hypertension risk and blood pressure occur, that data will be stored in Firebase. In the naive Bayes method, researchers have 5 features and 2 classes for classification. Blood Care software development was carried out using software development life cycle prototyping and in this software, four types of testing were carried, there are validation, unit, usability, and accuracy testing. From the tests that have been conducted, the results show that all functionality has been successfully implemented, all function has worked well according to every case that may happened in the function, and the usability value of the application reaches 81,5 and the accuracy of the Blood Care application is 87,5%.

Abstract

In rental services, activity that usually do by rental provider are item ordering, item taking, item returning, item checking, and bookkeeping. Nowadays, many rental providers have difficulties for running their business activity, such as item scheduling, order recording, differences between item inventory and routine bookkeeping that causes losses and problems with customers. Moreover, the rental providers have limited infrastructure, by keep using rental note, whiteboard, and Microsoft Excel software for bookkeeping. Therefore, the rental providers need an rental management application which is independent in order to not depend on infrastructure or need more infrastructure, so that the service providers can only use smartphone without adding other infrastructure to manage rental services. This application designed using OOAD (Object Oriented Analysis and Design) method and REST web service. Designing this application include service design, architecture design, component design, data design, user interface design, and application design architecture. This design of application has been tested using Traceability Matrix, (Coupling Between Object Classes) CBO, (Response for a Class) RFC, (Lack of cohesion in methods1) LCOM1 metrics, and (Lack of cohesion in methods2) LCOM2 metrics. The result of this application design has low coupling because of the CBO's average value<=5 and RFC's average value<=100 so it have high understandability and low cohesion because of LCOM>1. The result of this application design also has high adaptability because of the CBO's average value is between 1 and 3, RFC's average value between 1 and 69, and fulfill LCOM2's value between 0 and 1. Furthermore, all artifacts are made based on the use case that was made before, because each column and row in the traceability matrix have a value of 1.

Abstract

Disaster is an event that can cause the destruction of society due to natural or human factors, it can cause impacts such as environmental damage, loss of life, property and psychological. The high number of natural disasters in Indonesia is a serious problem that must be resolved immediately to overcome the problem of disasters. With the development of mobile technology that accelerates, the use of technology that can be used by the public to share information about disasters, share information about locations and geospatial information using geotagging features and push notifications in real time. In addition, applications that use the Android platform will be developed in this study (Kitana) using crowdsourcing feature where disaster information can be immediately disbursed from other users. And use the BMKG API (Application Programming Interface) for disaster information. The technique used in this study is prototyping. Furthermore, the tests carried out are validation, unit testing, usability testing using SUS (System Usability Scale) as an instrument, and testing the performance of the push notification feature. Functional testing's results are valid and the application runs according to the user needs. Usability testing that produces a value of 73.5 where the value includes both good and successful categories. While the performance test of 10 test cases produces an average value of 1.6103 seconds, which means the system meets the real time criteria.

Abstract

Natural disasters are a series of events caused by nature that can lead to human casualties, environmental damage, property losses, and psychological impacts. The Android-based crowdsourcing application for natural disasters (Kitana) utilizes information from various circles of society regarding natural disasters both before and after a disaster. This study aims to design how a good user experience can be achieved by users when using the Kitana. The approach or method that used in designing a user experience is Human-Centered Design (HCD). After collecting a list of user needs and tasks, the solution design will be produced, the form of the solution design is a wireframe, information architecture and screenflow that was carried out as the path of the application prototype. By using a high-fidelity prototype, then usability evaluation of solution design was carried out using cognitive walkthrough with users and produced several problem findings, where the findings would be corrected and re-evaluated using the same method (cognitive walkthrough with users) and referring to 4 (four) cognitive walkthrough questions. The results of this study are the suitability of user experience design using HCD and usability evaluation using cognitive walkthrough with users resulting in a 76% increase in usability and user experience.

Abstract

The scarcity of subsidized LPG is become the biggest problem for the people in lower to middle class. This scarcity triggered by the increasing of the community that used LPG. In addition, scarcity had been caused by a fraud of some people whose shouldn't use a subsidized LPG. For the some people whose the cattle breeders in Claket Village isn't unfortunate this problem, because they are recycling cow manures become to a biogas. Than, the product of biogas can be alleviate for the breeders themselves and for the neighbours if they needed. However, there's nothing cost controller had been used to control the user for using biogas, so they needed a tool that can be used to control a biogas payment. Therefore, the solution was offered by make a web-based biogas payment system by applying the internet of things concept. The internet of things concept is built with the NodeMCU based module and it's working in MQTT network protocol as a bridge of data communication. This device will be used to detect a biogas flows and converting into data. Furthermore, it will be send and process into biogas payment system. Finally, several stages of testing are carried out on the system which results in a valid percentage of 100%.

Abstract

Process of letter managing and dispositioning in PT PGAS Solution is not effective and takes a long time. This condition causing various problems such as wrong recipients of dispositions, the recipient who is not in the office, late implementation, has no report, and often loss disposition sheet that has been distributed. Therefore, a website-based system is established where the required engineering needs a total of 23 functional requirements and 1 non-functional requirement. These needs are designed and implemented through an object-oriented approach, using Ruby on Rails (RoR). RoR was chosen because this framework builds websites by abstracting and simplifying the most repetitive tasks. Rails and most of its libraries are also open sources. In white-box testing carried out through unit testing and integration testing, the value of the cyclomatic complexity calculation obtained from each test case is between 1-10. In the validation test, a test of 35 test cases was carried out with the conclusion that the system can run well. Then in compatibility testing, the system successfully runs on 4 different browsers without any fatal errors. Through this development, a system which can facilitate the management of the letter and its dissociation process is produced.

Abstract

Letter has become a written communication media that is important to fulfill lots of organizations or companies needs. The current thought about organizing letters is that it needs high level of precision which is take too long to be done. This situation is similar to what happened in Faculty of Computer (FILKOM) University of Brawijaya. They have been using Microsoft Excel to manage all of the corresponding letters until this time. In this way, the distribution of letters has become less effective knowing that there is no integration between units/divisions. Oftentimes, the distributed letter is stopped because of some reasons. It could be that the receiver is not available at that time, or there is no information whether the letter has already been handled or not. These kinds of problems can be solved by developing a web-based letter management system where each unit is integrated to one another. In this way, the distributed letter and its monitoring can be easily done without considering place and time. Waterfall model process is used by the author in developing the software. In requirement engineering phase, there are found 33 functional requirements and 1 non-functional requirements. Based on the requirement engineering result, system is designed to be implemented in the next phases. The testings performed are unit testing, integration testing, and validation testing that result 100% valid in all test scenarios. And based on the compatibility testing, it is known that the system worked with no problems occurred in 73% of 11 versions of tested browsers.
