Abstract

Bojonegoro Regency is a 30% contributor to national oil, this certainly affects the regional budget with the highest ranking in Indonesia in 2022. but with this high regional income has not been able to reduce the poverty rate at 10%, this is due to several influencing factors. This research investigates the role of sustainable development policies, to find out how the participation of the Bojonegoro Regency community in handling Parity and stunting prevention, with research focusing on the fields of education, economy, health, social, culture, environment and population, in improving living standards in Bojonegoro Regency, Indonesia. Employing the Structural Equation Model (SEM) to analyze the interrelations among contraceptive use, parity, stunting, and sustainable development. Data collection in this study used documentation and questionnaires at the district and subdistrict levels. The findings highlight that while parity intervention through family planning education did not significantly influence sustainable development (Tvalue = 0.050), interventions aimed at stunting prevention through family planning education significantly contributed to sustainable development goals (Tvalues of 8.402 and 2.758, respectively). Additionally, the direct impact of family planning education on sustainable development was moderately significant (Tvalue = 1.740), suggesting the nuanced role of contraceptive methods in achieving broader development objectives. The study concludes that integrated family planning education and stunting prevention strategies are vital for sustainable development in Bojonegoro, contributing significantly to the discourse on public health and development policy. This research underscores the importance of tailored interventions in family planning education and health education as a means to foster sustainable development, offering valuable insights for policymakers and stakeholders in similar socio-economic contexts.

Abstract

Organic agriculture is the implementation of the sustainable agriculture concept promoted by the World Food Organization (WHO) since 1989. Later, this concept become a global movement for sustainable agriculture (Suryana, 2005). In its development, organic farming of dragon fruit tends to decrease its sustainability. The main contributing factors is natural and environmental degradation phenomena. This study aims to analyze the NPV of corn farming activities, which incidentally are farming activities outside organic dragon fruit farming, by comparing to the NPV of corn farming activities and organic dragon fruit farming NPV and conducting sensitivity analysis toward the benefits and social costs of the dragon-fruit organic farming environment. The analytical method used is cost-benefit analysis. The results showed that there are differences in the value of benefits and costs between corn farming and organic dragon fruit farming. The difference between the benefits and costs, NPV and BCR between corn farming and organic dragon fruit farming occurred because organic dragon fruit farming considers the value of social benefits and social costs, which includes elements of benefits and environmental costs while corn farming does not. Likewise, sensitivity analysis with a 10% increase in costs and a 5% decrease in benefits indicates that the NPV and BCR values are still positive. This shows that both types of farming found in the organic farming environment of dragon fruit are feasible to be developed so that they can maintain their existence for future generations and realize organic farming preservation of dragon fruit.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on the agricultural sector, both in terms of trade, prices, and the decline in farmers' income levels. Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, food security is something that the government must pay attention to so that there is no food crisis. If farmer households have not realized food security, it won't be easy to create food security at higher levels such as the village, district, provincial, and national levels. This study aims to analyze food security based on EAR and SFE values and determine the effect of socioeconomic factors on household resilience. Determination of the research location was determined purposively, and the number of samples was taken by cluster sampling. The analytical method uses the Jonnson and Toole model to determine household food security and multiple linear regression analysis to determine the effect of socioeconomic factors on EAR. The results of the food security analysis show that 51.7% of households with energy consumption >80% and expenditure of 60% are categorized as food vulnerable. The results of the analysis of socio-economic factors that can affect EAR are income, number of dependents in the family, length of education of housewives, and age of the head of the family with a confidence level of 80%. The analysis results show that most shallot farming households are in a food-insecure state.

Abstract

The growing trend of healthier eating habits, driven by increasing health awareness, presents a business opportunity for SMEs in the healthy food sector. This study investigates consumer preferences, attribute importance, and willingness to pay for vegetable salads in Malang, using a discrete choice experiment with a conditional logit model. A survey of 150 respondents who had purchased and consumed vegetable salads was conducted, analyzing key attributes, including health, mood, convenience, sensory appeal, natural content, and price, adapted from the food choice questionnaire and processed using R-Studio software. The findings indicate that consumers prefer vegetable salads that are high in fiber, free of additives, available in nearby shops, relaxing when consumed, and have a good taste. The ranking of attributes is important in purchasing decisions, as it follows the order of health, natural content, convenience, mood, and sensory appeal. Consumers' willingness to pay shows that they are willing to pay IDR 10,416 for "simple to make," IDR 19,410 for "ready in no time," IDR 11,549 for "contain natural ingredients," IDR 2,101 for "make them feel good when consumed," IDR 24,287 for "smell nice," and IDR 26,334 for "look good." These findings provide essential implications for SMEs, guiding product development towards fiber-rich and additive-free vegetable salads with appealing sensory attributes and easy preparation. Additionally, marketing strategies should emphasize health benefits, natural ingredients, and convenience while leveraging sensory appeal to attract a broader audience. Pricing strategies should reflect the premium consumers are willing to pay, and distribution channels should ensure accessibility. By aligning product offerings with consumer preferences and understanding their willingness to pay, SMEs can enhance their competitiveness and achieve sustainable growth in the expanding healthy food market.

Abstract

Farmers play an essential role in producing food and meeting the community's food needs. However, they often face various obstacles and challenges in efforts to increase crop yields to boost agricultural income. One approach to increasing agricultural productivity is by understanding the Efficiency and Profitability of Rice Farming with the transplanting system (TAPIN) and the direct seeding system (TABELA) in Padang Mentoyo Village, Kapas District, Bojonegoro Regency. This study used the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method, with 74 respondents consisting of 37 TAPIN farmers and 37 TABELA farmers, to determine the level of efficiency and profitability between TAPIN and TABELA. The results showed that TABELA farmers are more efficient than TAPIN farmers because as many as 97.3% of TABELA farmers are included in the High and Full Efficient categories. This is because implementing the TABELA system is able to reduce the time needed to move seedlings, so that the planting process is faster. Keywords: Direct seeding system (TABELA), Transplanting system (TAPIN), Rice farming income, Yield.
