Abstract This article was aimed at describing the changes on the form of Piriang Rantak Tapi dance in Nagari Pitalah Kecamatan Batipuh Kabupaten Tanah Datar. This research applied descriptive methud the data was collected though library study, observation, interview and documentation. The result of the research indicated that Piriang Rantak Tapi dance got changes in 1991. The changes was affected by the social and culture factors. They occurred on the dance form including (a) the structural form of movement, (b) the form of music, (c) custom, (d) properties and (e) time. The second change occure on the place of the show and the third cange was on the events precenting Piriang Rantak Tapi dance, such as in a traditional festival, in a wedding party and some accasions held by the tourism department. Kata Kunci: Perubahan Bentuk, Tari Piriang Rantak Tapi, Nagari Pitalah.

This research aims to describe and explain the governance of the organization of Rumah Gadang Dance Art in managing the order well to be able to achieve achievement both national and international so that it remains exist and survive to date. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The main instrument in this research is its own researchers and assisted with supporting instruments such as notebooks, note taking tools, video cameras, photo cameras, and tape recorders. The data types in this study are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques are conducted by way of library studies, observation, interviews, documentation. The steps for analyzing data are data reduction, data presentation and withdrawal of conclusions. The results showed that the governance of the organization run by Sanggar Rumah Gadang can run well so that it produces good achievements. The research is included in a line organization (a form of organization where direct authority delegation is vertically and completely from leadership to its subordinates). The advantage of the line organization, all decisions can be resolved directly because in a particular situation the leader becomes one of the main targets in problem solving. Disadvantages of the line organization, if there is an issue or problem can not be resolved quickly because the leader is not in place. Thus the governance of the line Oganisasi to solve the problem or problems in the workshop, the head of the workshop became the first person to complete and resolve the issue.

Abstract This article explained about the dance title ‘’ Not Hear but see ‘’ as anew creation telling a about group of people born as normal creatures and the other born with hearing impairment. The existence of those msde the one with lacks had low self-esteem, and feit sad. This dance was a kind of dramatic dances which was presented symbolically. It is also considered as conteporer dance. The problem potrayed in the dance was that human being was not a perfect creature, in which each of them had their own strengths and weaknesses. The ending of this explained that the deaf people and the common ones could have a mutual understanding and lived together by dismissing the social gaps between them and be grateful for the life they had. This article aims to find out and describe the trainer's relationship to the students ' creativity in the development of dance art in junior high School of UNP. This type of research is a descriptive study that produces Qualitative data. The main instrument in this research is its own researchers. Data collection techniques are conducted by way of library studies, observation and documentation. The stage for analyzing data is to reduce data, data presentation and withdrawal of conclusions. The results showed that the activities of self-development in SMP UNP Laboratory development do not have a regular trainer and have different strategies and methods. The impact is that students lack the ability to develop patterns of motion, students feel corner and not confident if unable to mimic the techniques taught by the trainer, as well as students do not freely explore and express themselves. Therefore, the idea arises to see how the technique, and expression of the students in the dance of the Pasambahan, which has been given by his trainer.

Abstract This article aimed to describe Dance Training in Self Development Development at SMA Pembangunan of UNP Padang. This research was a qualitative research with descriptive type, the object of the research was SMA Pembangunan of UNP Padang. Data collection techniques used were literature study and observation. The data analysis used in this research was interpretation techniques. The results showed that the implementation of dance self-development at SMA Pembangunan of UNP Padang did not run smoothly, assessed from the slow implementation process of students in responding to the material given because of the lack of applying this method by the coach in the school. The demonstration method conducted by the trainer was not enough to provide training to students because to produce creative students who were active in dancing need special direction and training.Keywords: Dance Training, Self Improvement

AbstractThis article aims to find out and describe the use of the instrument test performance on learning the art of dance in the CMS National 2x11 Kayutanam. The method used is descriptive qualitative approach method of analysis. The object of research is the teacher of art and culture (dance) National 2x11 ayutanam CMS. Research instrument is the interview guidelines, notes the observation and study of the literature. The data analysis techniques is collecting data, data presentation, data meredaksi and verify the data. Findings from the research tells us that the use of the test instrument performance in National 2x11 SMK kayutanam already applied by the teachers of art and culture as well. So the use of a performance test instrument made in the RPP can be maintained by the teacher to assess and measure the ability of their students in learning. The research aimed to express, describe and analyze the development of The Development of Tanduak Traditional Dance to Tanduak Creation Dance at Puti Junjung Studio, Sijunjung District, Sijunjung Regency. The type of this research was qualitative research with descriptive analysis method. The object of this research was Tanduak Dance from Latang Village, Lubuak Tarok District, Sijunjung Regency. The types of data in this study were primary and secondary data. The main instrument was the researcher herself. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of literature review, observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collected were analyzed by interpretation techniques so that the truth could be obtained. The results showed that tanduak traditional dance had developed into tanduak dance that had been created. This could be seen through the processing of motion, clothing, music, configuration, time and place of performances and aspects of dancers packed in a new form in Sijunjung. Then, a guidance and training were delivered by Puti Junjung Studio. In addition, it could be a place for young people in order to maintain the cultual heritage and the identity of the village.

AbstractThis article aims to explain the cause of his low-interest factor of students towards extracurricular activities 1 Junior High School dance in Padang Panjang. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The object of the research was that students follow an extracurricular dance in SMP N 1 Padang Panjang. Instrument in this study is the researchers themselves by way of observation, documentation and interviews. The type of data in this study is the primary data and secondary data. Engineering data collection done by the library study, observation, documentation and interviews. The data has been collected, classified, diintrepresentasikan to avoid misinterpretation of data. The results showed that low cause factor of his interest in the activities of Esktrakurikuler students in Junior High School N 1 Padang Panjang there are 2 factors cause i.e. internal and external factors. Internal factors consist of desire, the attention and participation of external factors and consists of parents, coaches and facilities. The desires of the students in the following activities of the influential dance Estrakurikuler of these activities so that the stated desire of her low. Attention students in Extracurricular activities follow the Dance stated to have attention. Although there is still a small percentage of students who have not seriously followed the event. Participation of students extracurricular activities of dance graded fairly, although there are some students withdrew on the grounds there was les learning and there is no apparent reason.Keywords: Student Interest, implementation, Extracurricular Dance

Abstract This article exposes and describes the existance of Asik Niti Mahligai dance in Siulak Mukai village, sub-regency Siulak, Kerinci Regency. It is a qualitative research by using descriptive method. Data were collected through interview, observation, and library study. Data were analyzed by using ethnography and phenomenology approach. This research finding showed that during 2001-2012, Asik Niti Naik Mahligai dance did not get enough supports from the government and the society, in term of using, maintaining, and conserving this dance. Besides, the conservation of Asik Niti Naik Mahligai dance was disturbed by lack of interest of the young generation especially girl. As the effect, the existence of Asik Niti Naik Mahligai dance is endangered to be vanished.

Abstract This study was conducted due to the fact that there had been a great development of Piring Gelas dance from 2002 to 2013. In 2002, this kind of dance was only found in desa Embacang. Leter, in the area of 2013, it could not only be foun in this village, but also could be foun in outside Desa Embacang. For this reason, Desa Embacang was known as the place of origin of this Piring Gelas dance. In the period of 2002-2003, there was also a development of this dance in the frequency of this dane show. This study aimed at observing the development of Piring Gelas This study was aqualitative study with a descriptive method. The data were taked from the literature study, obsservation interview, and documentation. Moreover the data were analiyzed qualitatively with the procedures of: data classification, data reduction, data presentation, data collection, dan data verification. The result of this study showed that there was massiv development of this Piring Gelas dance qualititatively in wich there was an expancion of area in wich this dance was shown as well as the increasing number of frequency of showing this dance in the sociality. The development of the dance could be seen periodically. In the period of 2002-2004, the dance of piring gelas developed in area of Desa Embacang Baru with quite a little improvement. In the period of 2005-2009, this dance was not only developed in Desa Embacang Baru and Embacang Lama, but also it could be found in other places such as Desa Karang Dapo, and Muara Rupit. In this case, the frequency of this dance show was also increased. This dance was regulary shown in almost all ivents in the society. Moreover, in the period of 2010-2013, Piring Gelas dance was frequently shown in all events in several areas outside South Sumatra. Keywords: Piring Gelas Dance, Development of Piring Gelas Dance.
