Abstract

Regulations in customs and Excise have an important function in regulating legally every policy and decision making. Thus, the type of rules are made varies according to the hierarchy of the regulator. This regulation is also changing, following policy developments that occured in the higgest government. then, what if this organization has not been able to manage its regulatory archiving? even regulatory changes can not be tracked? So, we need a well-organized system that can accomodate all of the rules and the associated changes and connectedness with other type of regulations. This system will help us to provide convenience to users to search, manage and track the history of changes as well as the relationship between the rules used by the organization. This paper propose the design of an ontology-based semantic network using a graph database that use neo4j 2.3.1 as a solution. In the application that uses the sample data, we found 13 types of nodes that contains 242 child nodes and 22 type of relation that contain 548 relation that connect all the node within 3305ms.

Abstract

Massive development of broiler farms has led to many socio-environmental problems. Based on idea that broiler farm must be located at suitable location, an expert system for site selection based on the socio-environmental factors and sustainable principles is urgently needed to cope with this problem. The objective of this research was to develop a mobile-based expert system as a guidance for broiler farmers to choose best location for broiler farm. There were four factors considered in the system: 1) ecology and environmental impact, 2) economic and infrastructure, 3) natural condition, and 4) natural disaster vulnerability, each of which consists of sub-factors. A mobile-based expert system has been developed by using opensource web GIS server and PostgreSQL/PostGIS, and can be installed on Android device. As conclusion, a mobile-based expert system has been developed and can be used to determine suitable location for broiler farm development.

Abstract

Spatiotemporal analysis of MODIS Vegetation Index Imagery widely used for vegetation seasonal mapping both on forest and agricultural site. In order to provide a long-terms of vegetation characteristic maps, a wide time-series images analysis is needed which require high-performance computer and also consumes a lot of energy resources. Meanwhile, for agriculture monitoring purpose in Indonesia, that analysis has to be employed gradually and endlessly to provide the latest condition of paddy field vegetation information. This research is aimed to develop a method to produce the optimized solution in classifying vegetation of paddy fields that diverse both spatial and temporal characteristics. The time-series EVI data from MODIS have been filtered using wavelet transform to reduce noise that caused by cloud. Sequential K-means and Parallel K-means unsupervised classification method were used in both CPU and GPU to find the efficient and the robust result. The developed method has been tested and implemented using the sample case of paddy fields in Java Island. The best system which can accommodate of the extend-ability, affordability, redundancy, energy-saving, maintainability indicators are ARM-based processor (Raspberry Pi), with the highest speed up of 8 and the efficiency of 60%.

Abstract

Herbicides have been widely used for weed control in modern agriculture. However the use of herbicides is potentialy introducing negative impact to the environment due to excessive use of herbicides. Based on precision agriculture principles, unique and precise treatment of herbicide supply for a particular area for crop production must be performed. The objective of this research is to develop a decision support system (DSS) for schedulling of weed spraying and for selecting the proper nozzle size of the sprayers that introduce minimum negative impact to the environment. The main set of data required for our proposed system includes the set of 10 years weather data series acquired from remote sensing (NOAA and TRMM) and a set of vegetation index from MODIS EVI. The weather data set is utilized to determine the planting time period of paddy crop and to determine the proper size of the sprayers for weed spraying. Our DSS prototype has been implemented and tested with real data set in Jonggol district, West Java, Indonesia. The implementation, testing results, and future enhancement of our system are discussed in this paper.

Abstract

Investments in financial assets have become a trend in the globalization era, especially the investment in mutual fund shares. Investors who want to invest in stock mutual funds can set up an investment portfolio in order to generate a minimal risk and maximum return. In this study the authors used the Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm Non-dominated Sorting II (MOGA NSGA-II) technique with the Markowitz portfolio principle to find the best portfolio from several mutual funds. The data used are 10 company stock mutual funds with a period of 12 months, 24 months and 36 months. The genetic algorithm parameters used are crossover probability of 0.65, mutation probability of 0.05, Generation 400 and a population numbering 20 individuals. The study produced a combination of the best portfolios for the period of 24 months with a computing time of 63,289 seconds.

Abstract

Signal strength and speed connection data which are collected and available in a company have not been optimally and beneficially processed and stored for more added value business purposes. Therefore, the collected data need to be utilized in more strategic way for business intelligent in the company that enables management to conduct better and smarter decision making. This research is aimed to develop a business intelligence system based on cloud computing platform which is more flexible and manageable in terms of cost and resources. The developed system adopts the three tier architectures of data warehouse that provides data extraction, transform, and load (ETL) functions and the creation of dimensional models and visualization in dashboard forms. Business intelligence solutions have been created based on cloud computing using Microsoft Azure SQL Database as database storage of data warehouse and Power BI as a dimensional model and dashboard visualization. The developed system prototype has been implemented and tested for its functionalities and capabilities in a web platform.

Abstract

Selection of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is a complex decision-making process and one of the critical success factors (CSFs) in ERP adoption life cycle. Many ERP implementation failures are caused by improper package selection. Various approaches have been used, but not using optimization techniques. This study developed a Fuzzy-Multiobjective Genetic Algorithm (Fuzzy-MOGA) approach to optimize the quality of ERP selection criteria that complies with ISO25010 quality standard and cost. A case study was conducted on an agro-industrial company. The result shows the approach of Fuzzy-MOGA with NSGA-II method facilitate a complex decision-making for ERP selection optimally.

Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country with high ambient temperatures for broilers since daily temperature reaches an average daily temperature of 360C (maximum) and 320 C (minimum); whereas the optiml temperature for broilers is in the range of 28-300C. Thefefore, midle or large scale broiler industries have been using a control system to maintain the optimal temperature within a broiler house. Therefore, the role of a control system for regulating environmental parameters, not only temperature but also humidity, light intensity, and amonia content level, is very critical and relevant for better broiler production. This study aims to design an ANFIS control system for controlling the temperature inside a broiler house (closed house) for broiler. Data is collected at three different periods of the starter period (5 days): 29.50C-30.900C, a period of 25 days is a grower-29.0C 34.20C, and the finisher of 30 days is obtained 33.20C. Set point control simulation using the same temperature 290C for starter, grower and finisher period. The simulation results show the output in a closed house temperature fluctuates around set point the 290C-340C.
