Abstract

Salah satu masalah yang terjadi di sekolah menengah kejuruan adalah banyak siswa menganggap melanjutkan pendidikan tinggi bukan hal penting. Faktor penyebabnya adalah siswa berasal dari keluarga dengan tingkat ekonomi rendah, kurikulum yang berbeda sehingga sulit untuk menyesuaikan diri ataupun sudah tidak mempunyai minat untuk belajar. Agar dapat mengatasi masalah tersebut maka diadakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan tujuan untuk membuka dan menambah wawasan para siswa SMK dengan memberikan seminar dan motivasi belajar yang diikuti oleh siswa SMK kelas XII. Metode yang digunakan adalah memberikan ceramah motivasi belajar, tanya jawab kepada siswa SMK, dan pemberian angket. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu meningkatnya minat siswa untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi, dilihat dari hasil pre test skor rata-rata sebesar 55 menjadi skor rata-rata post test 80. Seluruh peserta (100%) ikut berpartisipasi secara aktif dan memberikan tanggapan secata positif saat kegiatan berlangsung. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat diharapkan terus dilanjutkan di masa yang akan datang agar pendidikan terus menghasilkan sumber daya manusia yang luar biasa.

Abstract

Competence is one of the objectives of a professional education program. Competency improvement is an effort to develop knowledge, skills, and attitudes that every teaching staff must carry out to get maximum results. The level of professionalism of lecturers needs to be improved to carry out their duties professionally. One way to improve the learning process is by increasing competence, especially in writing accredited articles and understanding the use of Mendeley. Based on the situation analysis, there is still a lack of understanding competence of novice lecturers at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. Therefore it is the purpose of this activity to improve the competence of novice lecturers in writing accredited articles and understanding the use of Mendeley. The implementation method is carried out for 16 hours. The training was held for two days on Wednesday-Thursday, December 21-22, 2020, at the Santika Premiere Hotel Palembang by conducting an initial survey using google form internet media. The number of participants was 100 participants consisting of lecturers of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. The first material was about writing accredited articles for novice lecturers. The second material is about how to understand the use of Mendeley. As a result of this training, the participants understood the writing of accredited articles and the use of Mendeley.

Abstract

Abstrak: Virus Corona adalah wabah penyakit sistem pernafasan yang berpotensi merenggut nyawa seseorang, keberadaan virus corona berdampak dalam segala aspek kehidupan termasuk aspek psikologis maupun aspek ekonomi. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini untuk meningkatkan ketahanan psikologis di masa Covid-19. Metode yang digunakan berupa seminar daring strategi meningkatkan ketahanan psikologis dimasa pandemi covid 19. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi dari gform menunjukkan bahwa dari 183 peserta merasa sangat terbantu dengan adanya seminar, sedangkan untuk tingkat keberhasilan seminar 85%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa program pengabdian pada masyarakat yang telah dilaksanakan memberikan sumbangan yang efektif dan dikatakan berhasil dalam mencapai tujuan.Abstract: Corona virus is a respiratory system disease outbreak that has the potential to claim a person's life, the existence of the corona virus has an impact in all aspects of life including psychological and economic aspects. The purpose of this community service is to increase psychological resilience during the Covid-19 period. The method used is an online seminar on strategies to increase psychological resilience during the covid 19 pandemic. Based on the evaluation results from gform, it shows that 183 participants felt very helped by the seminar, while the success rate of the seminar was 85%. So it can be concluded that the community service program that has been carried out makes an effective contribution and is said to be successful in achieving its goals.

Abstract

Lecturers are required to produce scientific papers for improving their careers. However, there are many lecturers who do not understand how to write scientific papers and to publish it. This community service aims to improve the competence of lecturers in writing scientific papers so that they can make good scientific papers and can publish it. The program is carried out in two stages: 1) preparation stage, and 2) implementation through training on writing scientific paper. The results showed that the participants were able to understand 1) the basics of scientific writing, 2) the parts of scientific articles, 3) the scientific publication policies, 4) the criteria and requirements for publishing scientific papers in accredited journals, 5) the paraphrase techniques, 6) the citation using Mendeley, and 7) the technique of compiling according to the standard template of accredited journals.

Abstract

In Indonesia, education is regulated within Law Number 20 of 2003 Chapter 6. This proves that education is significant. Education can guide human life, both individual and social life. One of the things discussed in education is academic achievement. Academic achievement is the result achieved by students, there are at least two factors that influence the increase in academic achievement, namely social intelligence and moral intelligence. This study aimed to determine the relationship between social intelligence and moral intelligence with academic achievement in psychology faculty students. The research subjects totaled 110 students using a purposive random sampling technique. Three measuring instruments are used in this study with details of two variables using a scale and one using documentation. The social intelligence variable is measured based on two aspects with eight indicators from Goleman, the moral intelligence variable is measured based on the four aspects from Lennick & Kiel, and then the academic achievement variable uses the student achievement index (IP) in the form of documentation. Analysis was performed using multiple regression. The results of the hypothesis prove that social intelligence and moral intelligence have a significant relationship with academic achievement, with a value of p = 0.006 (p <0.05), r = 0.319, R2 = 0.102, F = 5.370. Thus, it can be concluded that the variables of social intelligence and moral intelligence together make an effective contribution of 10.2% to increasing academic achievement.

Abstract

Migrant students strive to achieve success with quality education. Some overseas students are afraid of facing difficulties, fear failure, and fear of not being able to adjust to existing associations, so they do not trust themselves and prefer to entrust others to overcome the challenges they face. Today's migrant students need resilience and high self-efficacy to adjust to changes in habits in a new environment. Resilience, Self-Efficacy, and Adversity Quotient are essential for individuals to develop the abilities that exist within overseas students. This study aimed to prove the correlation between Resilience and Self Efficacy with Adversity Quotient. Research subjects are active students of the Faculty of Psychology. The method used in this research is the quantitative method. Sampling using Purposive Random Sampling of as many as 205 subjects. Data were collected using measuring instruments in the form of a Self-Resilience scale, Self-Efficacy scale, and Adversity Quotient scale in the form of google form. Data analysis using multiple regression. The practical contribution given by the Resilience and Self Efficacy variables with Adversity Quotient is 30.4%, while other variables influence the remaining 69.6%. The results of data analysis show that Resilience and Self Efficacy play a role in increasing Adversity Quotient with a significant value of p=0.000 (0.001 <0.05). The results showed that the higher the Resilience and Self Efficacy, the higher the level of Adversity Quotient.Mahasiswa perantau berusaha untuk menggapai kesuksesan dengan pendidikan yang berkualitas. Beberapa mahasiswa perantau takut menghadapi kesulitan sendiri, takut akan kegagalan, takut tidak mampu menyesuaikan pergaulan yang ada, sehingga tidak percaya diri dan lebih memilih mempercayakan orang lain untuk mengatasi tantangan yang dihadapi. Mahasiswa perantau saat ini membutuhkan Ketahanan Diri dan keyakinan diri yang tinggi untuk menyesuaikan perubahan kebiasaan dilingkungan baru. Ketahanan Diri, Self Efficacy, dan Adversity Quotient adalah hal yang penting bagi individu untuk mengembangkan kemampuan yang ada dalam diri mahasiswa perantau. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan korelasi antara Ketahanan Diri dan Self Efficacy dengan Adversity Quotient. Subjek penelitian Mahasiswa aktif Fakultas Psikologi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan Purposive Random Sampling sebanyak 205 subjek. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan alat ukur berupa skala Ketahanan Diri, skala Self Efficacy dan skala Adversity Quotient dalam bentuk google form. Analisis data menggunakan regresi berganda. Sumbangan efektif yang diberikan variabel Ketahanan Diri dan Self Efficacy dengan Adversity Quotient yaitu sebesar 30,4%, sedangkan selebihnya sebesar 69,6% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa Ketahanan Diri dan Self Efficacy berperan meningkatkan Adversity Quotient dengan nilai signifikan p=0,000 (0,001 < 0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jika semakin tinggi Ketahanan Diri dan Self Efficacy maka semakin tinggi tingkat Adversity Quotient.

Abstract

Abstrak: Setiap lembaga pendidikan mengharapkan seluruh lulusannya menjadi manusia yang cerdas, kompeten, berintegritas, mandiri dan berjiwa wirausaha. Namun nyatanya masih banyak alumni yang menjadi pengangguran setelah lulus dari universitas. Diadakannya kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mempersiapkan karir dimasa depannya. Metode kegiatan PkM ini berupa seminar dengan empat mitra yaitu ICCN Pusat, Klinik UNSRI, Fakultas ILKOM UNSRI, dan Fakultas Psikologi UIN Raden Fatah, dengan jumlah narasumber 4 orang. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu adanya peningkatan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mempersiapkan diri memasuki dunia kerja. Dilihat dari mahasiswa sudah memahami potensi diri, karakteristik pekerjaan dan memahami kondisi fisik dan psikologis. Dengan nilai rata-rata pre test 60 menjadi skor rata-rata post test 85. Peserta kegiatan 100% berpartisipasi secara aktif dan memberikan tanggapan positif selama seminar berlangsung. Dengan demikian kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pendukung bagi para calon lulusan perguruan tinggi.Abstract: Every educational institution expects its graduates to be intelligent, competent, have integrity, and be independent and entrepreneurial. But many alumni still need to become more active after graduating from university. Holding this community service activity is hoped to improve students' abilities in preparing for their future careers. The PkM activity method is in the form of a seminar with four partners, namely ICCN (Indonesia Career Center Network), Sriwijaya University Clinic, Faculty of communication study Sriwijaya University, and Faculty of Psychology UIN Raden Fatah, with 4 resource persons. The results obtained are an increase in the ability of students to prepare themselves for the world of work. Judging students already understand their potential, job characteristics, and physical and psychological conditions, with an average pre-test score of 60 to an average post-test score of 85. Activity participants 100% actively participated and gave positive responses during the workshop. Thus, this community service activity helps increase supporting competencies for prospective college graduates.

Abstract

Rehabilitation is one way to overcome narcotic abuse. The entry of individuals into rehabilitation centres causes individuals to be able to adopt. However, in the field there are still many individuals who have not been able to adopt to rehabilitation centres. This program aims to develop the understanding of residents of the ar-rahman drug rehabilitation centre on stress coping. The activity consists of several stages, namely the preparation stage, the planning stage, and the implementation stage. The evaluation results showed that: 1) participants were able to understand how to react to stress; 2) have the ability to assess the situation; 3) have confidence in themselves; 4) have many ways to solve problems; 5) have the ability to adapt and make adjustments; 6) have a proactive attitude; and 7) have the ability to be able to adapt and adjust. At the end of the activity, the residents of the ar-Rahman drug rehabilitation center had an increased understanding of coping with stress.

Abstract

Cheating in education has been an issue. Students who pursue education are sometimes only value-oriented. There are many cases of students cheating on exams, committing plagiarism, and cheating on each other’s answers to get high grades. This study aims to determine the relationship between Islamic religiosity and perceived behavioral control in academic cheating. The research method used was quantitative multiple regression correlation. The research subjects were 201 active Islamic psychology students. The measuring instruments used were the Islamic Religiosity Scale (a-0.935), the Perceived Behavioral Control Scale (a-0.771), and the Academic Cheating Scale (a-0.925). The data analysis used was multiple regression. The results showed a significant negative relationship between Islamic religiosity and academic cheating and a significant relationship between perceived behavioral control and academic cheating. Islamic religiosity and perceived behavioral control contributed 51.5% to the academic cheating variable. The main conclusion is that Islamic religiosity and perceived behavioral control are related to academic cheating.

Abstract

Setiap siswa tentunya memiliki karakter yang berbeda-beda, ada yang memiliki rasa kepercayaan yang tinggi dan ada juga rasa kepercayaan diri yang rendah. Kemudian beragam motivasi yang membuat mereka optimis maupun tidak optimis bahkan ada juga siswa yang kesulitan untuk mengartikan bagaimana konsep diri mereka sendiri ini tentu saja menjadi satu persoalan dan satu hambatan bagi sekolah dalam mengembangkan potensi siswa sesuai dengan bakat dan minat maupun kemampuannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara konsep diri dan optimisme dengan kepercayaan diri siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah 440 siswa. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 195 siswa. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive random sampling. Analisis data menggunakan teknik regresi ganda dan korelasi parsial. Uji hipotesis pertama menunjukan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara konsep diri dan optimisme dengan kepercayaan diri dengan R=0,977 dan Fhitung =3993,231, signifikansi 0,00 (p<0,01). Hipotesis kedua memberikan nilai rx1y= 0,953 dengan signifikansi 0,00 (p<0,01), ada hubungan positif antara konsep diri dengan kepercayaan diri. Hasil ini menunjukkan hipotesis kedua diterima. Hipotesis ketiga memberikan nilai rx2y=0,986 dengan signifikansi 0,00 (p<0,01), menunjukan bahwa ada hubungan positif antara optimisme dengan kepercayaan diri.
