Abstract

This research was motivated by low of motivation to learn physics at SMPN 30 Muaro Jambi. By using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model, it is expected that students will more easily to understand and receive knowledge effectively and efficiently. So, it can increase student learning motivation, because the temperature material and its changes contain a description of the material that is conceptual and quantitative, so in presenting this material a learning model is needed to encourage student learning motivation. From the results, it can be seen that there is an increase in learning motivation experienced by students from the first cycle 59.74% to 72.18% in cycle II and 82.61% in cycle III. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model can increase student motivation in class VII B SMPN 30 Muaro Jambi.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the concept of science that was found in local wisdom, and integrate local wisdom into the science of the sciences. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subject in this study was the community figure of Suban Village and science education expert. Data collection was done through interviews and documentation. Data was analyzed descriptively. Lubuk Larangan “Tantang Sakti” is the local wisdom of Suban village in preserving of fish and watershed. Lubuk Larangan is a watershed area that has been agreed by the community and traditional institutions that regulate the prohibition of fishing in the river. Lubuk Larangan “Tantang Sakti” becomes a conservation area for kapiat/lampam fish (Barbonymus schwanenfeldii). Lubuk Larangan can be integrated in science learning on the topics of environmental conservation, ecosystems, and fluids.

Abstract

This examine pursuits to research students' wishes for coaching substances used in the physics learning system. This studies is an exploratory descriptive studies with 30 students majoring in science majoring in 11th grade SMA. The studies records became obtained from observation and filling out a wishes questionnaire. observation consequences show that physics learning contains extra texts and physics formulation, but due to the restricted mastering time in each assembly, it's far hard for teachers to provide an explanation for examples of physics concepts determined in normal lifestyles to students. The consequences of the questionnaire analysis display that scholars want teaching substances in the form of enrichment books as a aid within the studying process and can be used independently or with teacher assistants at school.

Abstract

Dalam konteks Kurikulum Merdeka, penekanan diberikan pada pengintegrasian unsur-unsur kearifan lokal ke dalam proses pembelajaran untuk mendukung pencapaian profil siswa yang selaras dengan prinsip-prinsip Pancasila. Oleh karena itu, guru diharapkan dapat menyiapkan materi pembelajaran yang memasukkan unsur-unsur kearifan lokal yang sejalan dengan Kurikulum Merdeka. Namun, temuan di lapangan, khususnya di Kabupaten Batang Hari, menunjukkan bahwa beberapa sekolah, seperti SMAN 2 Batang Hari, masih mengandalkan bahan ajar yang didasarkan pada kurikulum sebelumnya yang tidak memasukkan aspek kearifan lokal atau etnosains. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk melatih guru-guru di SMAN 2 Batang Hari untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran Kurikulum Mandiri yang mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal atau aspek etnosains dengan menggunakan Heyzine. Platform ini digunakan untuk membuat modul pembelajaran digital interaktif berbasis etnosains yang memungkinkan guru untuk menyajikan unsur-unsur budaya lokal Jambi secara visual dan kontekstual. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah lokakarya yang terdiri dari tiga tahap: persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pelatihan ini berlangsung pada tanggal 29 Agustus 2024 di SMAN 2 Batang Hari. Hasil dari pelatihan ini menunjukkan bahwa para guru di SMAN 2 Batang Hari mendapatkan pemahaman yang baik tentang konsep, teknik, dan penggunaan Heyzine dalam menyusun perangkat pembelajaran yang sejalan dengan Kurikulum Mandiri, sehingga memungkinkan pengintegrasian aspek kearifan lokal atau etnosains ke dalam proses pembelajaran secara lebih efektif.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to develop science books based on Jambi local wisdom and improve student learning motivation. This research was a research and development using ADDIE model. The subjects were material experts, media experts and class VIII students of SMPN 1 Muaro Jambi, totaling 30 students. The instruments used in this study were observation sheets, questionnaire needs, material and media validation sheets and student motivation questionnaires. Qualitative data were analyzed descriptively and quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. This study produced a science book based on Jambi local wisdom about the pressure and vibration and waves. Local wisdom was used as a context to explore scientific concepts. The results of the material expert validation obtained an average score of 4.5 with the category "very good" and the media expert was 4.65 with the category "very good". The results of field trials show that science books based on Jambi local wisdom can increase students' learning motivation with an average score of 4.1 (good category).Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku IPA berbasis kearifan lokal Jambi serta meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Subjek penelitian adalah ahli materi, ahli media serta siswa kelas VIII di SMPN 1 Muaro Jambi yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini lembar observasi, angket kebutuhan  lembar validasi ahli materi dan media serta angket motivasi siswa. Data kualitatif dianalisis secaradeskriptif dan data kuantitatif dianalisis menggunakan statistic deskriptif. Penelitian ini mengahsilkan buku IPA berbasis kearifan lokal Jambi meteri tekanan zat, serta getaran dan gelombang. Kearifan  lokal dijadikan sebagai konteks untuk menggali konsep sains. Hasil validasi ahli materi diperoleh skor rata-rata 4,5 dengan kategori “sangat baik” dan ahli media adalah 4,65 dengan kategori “sangat baik”. Hasil ujicoba lapangan menunjukkan bahwa buku IPA  berbasis kearifan local jambi dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dengan skor rata-rata 4,1 (kategori baik).

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk melihat respon peserta didik terhadap buku elektronik IPA berbasis model PBL (Problem Based Learning). Responden pada penelitian ini berjunlah 39 orang peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 11 Muaro Jambi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik memberi respon sangat praktis terhadap buku elektronik IPA materi gerak dan gaya berbasis model PBL, dengan nilai rata-rata 3,7 untuk aspek tampilan, 3,56 untuk aspek penyajian materi, 3,64 untuk aspek kebermanfaatan.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum’s Pancasila Student Profile Project (P5) seeks to integrate 21st-century competencies (collaboration, problem-solving, and digital literacy) within Indonesia’s pluralistic values. This study develops P5 teaching materials (a teacher’s companion book and a student module) that integrate ethnoscience by using Jambi’s kerupuk panggang production as a cultural context for heat and temperature. Using the ADDIE model, we conducted the development phase and produced a digital flipbook version via AnyFlip, then evaluated feasibility with qualitative and quantitative evidence from expert validators, teachers, and students. Expert reviews yielded mean feasibility scores of 81% for the companion book and 82% for the module (very good category). At the needs and perception stage, 42% of students reported understanding of local wisdom and its linkage to science concepts, and 63.3% indicated good motivation when learning was connected to P5. Teacher and student responses characterized the materials as practical and engaging for P5 activities. These findings support the feasibility and practicality of the materials for subsequent classroom implementation studies; effectiveness on learning outcomes was not tested in this phase.

Abstract

Penggunaan media dalam pembelajaran berfungsi untuk mempermudah penyampaian informasi, memvisualisasikan materi dengan baik, dan membuat pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik. Fisika merupakan salah satu cabang dari Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) yang materi-materi pembelajarannya berkaitan langsung dengan konteks kehidupan nyata. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan adanya media visual untuk memudahkan penyampaian materinya. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mendesain dan menghasilkan media pembelajaran fisika interaktif pada materi momen inersia benda tegar dengan menggunakan program Autodesk 3ds Max 2010 dan Adobe Director 11.5. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahap yaitu tahap awal (studi pustaka, instalasi software, analisis), tahap pembuatan (pengumpulan konten, pengembangan, publish hasil), dan tahap evaluasi (penyesuaian kerangka konseptual, pencocokan materi, evaluasi, revisi, mengemas media pembelajaran). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan program Autodesk 3ds Max 2010 dan Adobe Director 11.5 dapat digunakan untuk mendesain media pembelajaran fisika interaktif pada materi momen inersia benda tegar. Abstract

Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajaran Pancasila (P5) or Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project under Indonesia's Merdeka Curriculum aims to instill Pancasila values such as cooperation, critical reasoning, and cultural respect in students, but teachers face challenges in integrating local wisdom and developing relevant project themes. This study introduces the Recommended Teacher Tool Assistant System (RETTAS), a web-based tool designed to help educators efficiently select and design P5 projects that incorporate Jambi’s local wisdom. Using the 4D model, the research involved surveys, interviews, and expert validation, revealing that while teachers recognize the importance of local wisdom, they struggle with its integration due to time and resource constraints. RETTAS, validated by experts and tested by prospective physics teachers, was found to be highly feasible and practical, offering a streamlined process for project-based learning. The system not only enhances the alignment of P5 with national and regional goals but also provides a sustainable solution to the educational challenges identified, promoting both cultural relevance and effective learning. Recommendations include continuous teacher training, resource equity, and further exploration of RETTAS’s long-term impact on the Merdeka Curriculum’s success.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and identify the concept of science contained in “Tangkul” and mapping basic competence of science in Junior High School. The study was descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were the Sipin Lake community and science education experts. The data collection instruments used were observation sheets, interview guides, and documentation. Data were analyzed descriptively using the Miles and Huberman analysis model (data collection, reduction, display, and verification). The validity test of the data used is the triangulation technique. Tangkul is a traditional fishing gear in Lake Sipin form of trap nets were hung using bamboo. The working mechanism of Tangkul uses the principle of a simple aircraft, namely a net as a load, a pole as support, bamboo as a power arm and a load arm. At the time of lifting the nets, the fishermen draw power with muscle force smaller than the load. The mapped basic competency is in class VIII, i.e., basic competency 3.3 Explain the concept of effort, simple plane, and its application in everyday life including muscle work on the structure of the human skeleton.
