Abstract

Background: Mechanical low back pain is pain that resulting from poor posture which cause decreased disability and limitation of lumbar range of motion. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to prove mulligan bent leg raise more effective to increase lumbosacral range of motion and decreased disability than slump stretching among tile craftsman with Mechanical low back pain in Darmasaba village. Methods: This research was an experimental study with pre and post test control group design. Sample of this study is tile craftsman with mechanical low back pain with 20 samples aged 30-55. Samples were divided into two groups, which the first group (n = 10) was given Mulligan bent leg raise, while the second group was given slump stretching. Do exercise 3 times a week for 4 weeks. Lumbar range of motion was measured with modified-modified schober test while level of disability was measured with modified oswestry disability index. Result: Paired Sample T-test in Group 1 and Group 2 obtained p=0,000 that showed in each Group 1 and Group 2 there is significant difference. Independent Samples Test of Group 1 and Group 2 showed the result p=0,000 which mean that there is significant difference in increased lumbar range of motion and decreased disability. Conclusion: Mulligan bent leg raise more effective to increase lumbosacral range of motion and decreased disability than slump stretching to tile craftsman with mechanical low back pain in Darmasaba village.

Abstract

Background: Straight punch or jab punch is one punch in boxing. Jab is a blow provocation done by hand in the front position to distract the opponent. Not infrequently blow jab could be ejected violently. Strength and speed jab is in need to knock out the opponent. Therefore we need the right training. Objective: Training hit by the load and drive pulley with weights aims to increase the strength and speed of the jab and stright punch blow. Method: Experimental research has been done with the design Randomized Pre-Post Test Control Group Design on Student SKO Flobamora Kupang. Total sample of 18 people, divided into two groups and each group of nine people. Group 1 was given training with weights and hit the second group training encourages pulley with weights. Research for six weeks with a frequency of exercise three times a week. speed is measured with a stopwatch, Strength was measured with a hand dynamometer before and after treatment, and the differences were statistically tested. Result: T independent test shows the speed and the strength among the groups before the training did not differ (24.44? 0.882 /5 seconds and power punches 36.44 ? 1,878 kg After training the average speed punch 24.44?0.882 blow before training 21,00± 1,118 blows / 5 seconds and average power punches 33.11 ? 1.900 blows / 5 seconds and average power punches 38.22 ± 1.202 kg. In Group 2 average speed of 33.56?1.590 kg. Average speed punch after training were 29.11 ? 1,364 blows / 5 seconds and average power punches ?Results of paired t-test showed the average speed of a punch in Group 1 before training 21.33±1,118 (p > 0.05) and after training was significantly different (p <0.05) test shows Training hit with loads more increase the strength and speed of the push pulley with weights. Conclusion: Training concluded hit with a load greatly increase the speed and strength of the left and right straight punches instead of pushing a pulley with weights together to give the effect of increased power and speed and a left straight punchright (p <0.05). An increase in one group is better than the training push pulley with weights on the strength and speed of the left and right straight punches. Suggestion: It is advisable to use a hitting training with weights in the training process in the recruitment of athletes, because it gives a better effect.

Abstract

Anaerobic threshold is the level of oxygen consumption where lactate concentration in blood increasing rapidly and systemic. One of exercises which increase anaerobic threshold is high intensity interval training (HIIT), with training load over anaerobic threshold in a short time and interspersed with active recovery. Another form is steady state training (SST), with training load approaching anaerobic threshold constantly. The purpose of this study to determine differences in the effectiveness of HIIT and SST among students member of short distance running athletic extracurricular groups in Denpasar. This study is pre test and post test experimental group design for 6 weeks and three times a week. Samples included 24 people divided into 2 groups. Group 1 HIIT with the training load of 95% maximum heart rate and Group 2 SST with the training load 80% of maximum heart rate. Measurement of anaerobic threshold by determining Heart Rate Deflection Point (HRDP) according to the Conconi track protocol. The results of the study in both groups obtained subjects 12-16 years old, male, body weight 50-65 kg, height 160-178 cm, and IMT from 16.33 to 22.27 kg / m2. Mean of anaerobic threshold before HIIT training 178.17 ± 2.368 x/minute, while after HIIT increased to 197.83 ± 3.460 x/minute. Mean of anaerobic threshold before SST 177.17 ± 1.586 x/minute, while after SST increased to 185.25 ± 1.288 x/minute. Test of different mean of anaerobic threshold pretest within Group 1 and Group 2 showed that p=0,237 (p>0,05). Test of different mean of increasing anaerobic threshold before and after training in Group 1 and Group 2 using Independent t-Test data test post two groups showed that p = 0.01 (p <0.05). Its concluded HIIT increase anaerobic threshold more than SST among students member of short distance running athletic extracurricular groups in Denpasar. Suggestions for this study are expected coaches able to provide proper training and monitoring methods HRDP evaluation in improving the achievement of athletes.

Abstract

The performance of soccer branch at SMK SMSR Ubud has not shown maximum result. To increase the performance of soccer branch, it was done by plyometric diagonal cone hop training and front cone hop. This research aim to know that plyometric diagonal cone hop training and front cone hop is to increase leg muscle strength and kick velocity, and plyometric diagonal cone hop training is more effective than front cone hop to increase leg muscle strength and kick velocity. The research method is experimental method The Randomized Pre and Post Test Group Design. The samples of research are 30 soccer players at SMK SMSR Ubud and divided into 2 (two) groups. The first group was handled with Plyometric diagonal cone hop training, and the second group was handled with Plyometric front cone hop training. The frequencies of training are 3 times in a week for 6 weeks. Leg muscle strength measured by leg dynamometer and kick velocity measured by meter indicator and video recording. The result of the intergroup t-paired test of this research for the first group before and after training that leg muscle mean is 97,80 ± 19,91 and 140,1 ± 10,01 kgs and kick velocity is 13,21 ± 2,16 and after training 21,86 ± 4,88 m/s with (p< 0,01). While the result for the second group before and after training that leg muscle mean is 98,00 ± 14,56 and after training 126 ± 12,7 kgs and kick velocity is 11,18 ± 1,59 and after training 16,18 ± 2,48 m/s with (p<0,01). Results of increased leg muscle strength and kick velocity between both of groups before and after training tested by independent t-test with p=0,002 & p<0,01 that is means there are significant differentiation. The conclusion is both of this training can be used to increase leg muscle strength and kick velocity. But, Plyometric diagonal cone hop is more effective than front cone hop to increase leg muscle strength and kick velocity.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Aktifitas yang dilakukan seseorang dalam kesehariannya tidak lepas dari aktifitas multitasking dimana pada aktifitas tersebut minimal seseorang harus mampu melakukan dua aktifitas sekaligus (dualtask), lansia dengan gangguan kognitif atau tidak mampu melakukan aktifitas ganda atau dualtask mempunyai resiko jatuh yang tinggi. Salah satu tindakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif dan dualtask pada lansia adalah dengan latihan Tai Chi. Tai Chi dan Ai Chi merupakan dua metode latihan yang terbukti mampu meningkatkan kualitas hidup lansia dimana mengurangi resiko jatuh salah satunya. Tujuan penelitian untuk membuktikan apakah ada perbedaan pelatihan Tai Chi dan pelatihan Ai Chi dalam meningkatkan performa dual task pada lansia. Metode: Penelitian dilakukan selama 6 minggu di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kota Mataram Lombok dimana sampel penelitian adalah pasien poliklinik fisioterapi yang berusia 60-80 tahun. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan two group pre and post test design dengan jumlah sampel 34 orang yang terbagi menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu Kelompok Ai Chi (n = 17) dan Kelompok Tai Chi (n =17). Performa dual task diukur menggunakan time up and go test (TUG) dual task. Hasil: Nilai performa dualtask pelatihan Tai Chi dan pelatihan Ai Chi meningkat bermakna dengan nilai p<0,05. Nilai performa dual task setelah pelatihan Tai Chi dan pelatihan Ai Chi tidak berbeda bermakna dengan nilai performa dual task p>0,05. Simpulan: Pelatihan Tai Chi dan Pelatihan Ai Chi mempunyai efek yang sama dalam meningkatkan performa dual task pada lansia.

Abstract

Atlet bola tangan putra Kota Surabaya memiliki daya tahan yang rendah. Hal ini mengakibatkan nilai VO2max dan lactate threshold yang rendah sehingga berpengaruh terhadap kualitas permainan dan prestasi tim, keadaan ini memerlukan intervensi latihan fisik yang tepat. High intensity interval training (HIIT) merupakan latihan dengan waktu singkat menggunakan intensitas tinggi yang diselingi pemulihan aktif. Fartlek training adalah latihan dengan waktu yang konstan dengan beban mendekati batas kelelahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan HIIT lebih baik daripada fartlek training dalam meningkatkan VO2max dan lactate threshold. Jenis penelitian true experimental dengan rancangan pretest and posttest two group desain. Subjek adalah atlet bola tangan Kota Surabaya sebanyak 22 orang yang dibagi dengan diberikan HIIT untuk Kelompok I lalu fartlek training pada Kelompok II, periode latihan 3 kali dalam seminggu selama 6 minggu latihan. VO2max diukur dengan Cooper VO2max Test dan lactate threshold menggunakan Heart Deflection Point. Hasil penelitian didapatkan rerata VO2max sebelum HIIT 42,38±1,07 ml/kg/menit, sesudah HIIT 45,86±1,10 ml/kg/menit. Rerata VO2max sebelum fartlek 42,33±1,04 ml/kg/menit, sesudah fartlek 44,27±1,66 ml/kg/menit. Rerata lactate threshold sebelum HIIT 176,61±0,99 x/menit, sesudah HIIT 194,69±1,11 x/menit. Rerata lactate threshold sebelum fartlek 176,92±1,08 x/menit, sesudah fartlek menjadi 187,43±1,59 x/menit. Uji beda peningkatan VO2max dan lactate threshold pada Kelompok I dan Kelompok II dengan independent t-test. Hasil menunjukan bahwa ke dua Kelompok p=0,000 (p<0,05). Disimpulkan dua Kelompok ini sama-sama memberi efek peningkatan (p<0,05) dan Kelompok I lebih meningkatkan VO2max dan lactate threshold daripada Kelompok II. Saran untuk pelatih agar melakukan monitoring dan evaluasi serta memberikan pelatihan yang benar agar dapat meningkatkan performa dan peningkatan prestasi atlet.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan latihan jalan tandem lebih meningkatkan keseimbangan lansia daripada latihan balance strategy. Metode penelitian ini adalah eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian Pre and Post Test Two Group Design yang dilakukan pada bulan Januari sampai Februari tahun 2017 dan populasinya adalah lansia di Banjar Umacandi, Desa Buduk, Kecamatan Mengwi dengan umur 60–74 tahun. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan simple random sampling. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 12 orang pada kelompok 1 dan 2. Pada Kelompok 1 diberikan latihan jalan tandem dan Kelompok 2 diberikan latihan balance strategy. Keseimbangan lansia diukur menggunakan Berg Balance Scale. Hasil penelitian pada Kelompok 1 diperoleh nilai rerata peningkatan keseimbangan sebelum latihan 40,67±4,09 dan setelah latihan 52,50±2,84. Kelompok 2 diperoleh nilai rerata peningkatan keseimbangan sebelum latihan 40,33±3,98 dan setelah latihan 48,83±3,85. Uji beda nilai rerata setelah latihan ditemukan bahwa peningkatan keseimbangan pada Kelompok 1 lebih besar daripada Kelompok 2 dengan dengan persentase sebesar 29% pada Kelompok 1 dan 21% pada Kelompok 2. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa latihan jalan tandem lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan keseimbangan daripada latihan balance strategy pada lansia.Kata Kunci: lansia, keseimbangan, jalan tandem, balance strategy

Abstract

Kekuatan otot tungkai dan keseimbangan merupakan faktor yang menentukan kualitas tendangan dalam pencak silat, maka diperlukan metode pelatihan tentang kekuatan otot tungkai dan keseimbangan melalui gerakan-gerakan yang lebih efektif. Latihan lunges dan squat merupakan latihan untuk meningkatkan kekuatan otot tungkai dan keseimbangan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuktikan pelatihan lunges lebih baik dari squat dalam meningkatkan kekuatan otot tungkai dan keseimbangan atlet putra peserta ekstrakurikuler pencak silat SMA Dwijendra Denpasar. Jenis penelitian true eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian randomized pre test and post test with control groups design. Subyek dari penelitian ini atlet putra peserta ekstrakurikuler pencak silat SMA Dwijendra Denpasar yang berjumlah 18 orang yang dibagi dalam dua kelompok yang berbeda. Kelompok 1 latihan lunges sedangkan Kelompok 2 latihan squat, latihan diberikan selama 6 minggu dengan frekuensi 3 kali dalam seminggu. Pengukuran menggunakan alat leg dynamometer untuk mengetahui kekuatan otot tungkai dan standing stork test untuk mengetahui keseimbangan. Hasil rerata pengukuran kekuatan otot tungkai sebelum latihan lunges 177,44±7,69 kg sedangkan setelah latihan lunges 205,44±9,50 kg. Hasil rerata pengukuran kekuatan otot tungkai sebelum latihan squat 172,33±7,84 kg sedangkan setelah latihan squat 187,22±7,32 kg. Hasil rerata pengukuran keseimbangan sebelum latihan lunges 18,11±1,61 detik sedangkan setelah latihan lunges 27,22±1,98 detik. Hasil rerata pengukuran keseimbangan sebelum latihan squat 18,44±1,87detik sedangkan setelah latihan squat 23,11±1,36 detik. Uji beda rerata kekuatan otot tungkai dan keseimbangan pada Kelompok 1 dan Kelompok 2 dengan uji independent pada post test didapat hasil nilai p=0,00 (p<0,05). Kelompok 1 dan Kelompok 2 sama-sama memberikan peningkatan terhadap kekuatan otot tungkai dan keseimbangan pada atlet putra peserta ekstrakurikuler pencak silat SMA Dwijendra Denpasar, tetapi Kelompok 1 lebih baik dari pada Kelompok 2 dilihat dari rerata post test. Saran dalam penelitian ini diharapkan kepada para pelatih dapat memberikan latihan dengan tepat dan sesuai dengan metode dan prinsip dalam pelatihan agar mampu meningkatkan prestasi atlet. Abstract

Background: Lack of physical activity is often caused by a lack of motivation as well as children today are more interested in modern games or online games. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine differences in physical fitness and affective aspects as the effect of training kids athletics and traditional games Megala-gala on male students of SDN 14 Pemecutan Denpasar. Method: This research uses experimental design, Pre-Post test Control Group Design on 24 students aged 10-12 years. Were selected randomly and were divided into 2 groups. The first group was given training kids athltics and Group II was given the traditional game Megala-gala. Training is given three times a week for 6 weeks. Physical fitness was measured using a test run of 600 meters, while affective measured after training using a questionnaire. Ananlisis use significance level 0, 05. Result: The results of this study indicate that there are significant differences in physical fitness and affective aspects after intervention between groups with p = 0.00, but it also found significant differences in each group with a value of p = 0.00. Group I found a mean baseline of 3.24 ± 0.07 minutes increased to 2.38 ± 0.15 minutes (enchancement 26%) and in Group II preliminary data increased by 3.24 ± 0.11 minutes to 2.98 ± 0.11 minutes (enchancement 8%). On the affective aspects significant differences in; cooperation and responsibility with a value of p <0.05. Conclusion: It was concluded that training kids athletics further improve the physical fitness than the traditional game-Megala-gala but kids athletics training no more effect on the affective aspect than traditional game Megala-gala.

Abstract

The long term use of analgesic drugs in patients with myofascial syndrome had a bad effect. So it is very important to find another methods. Upper trapezius muscle myofascial syndrome is a collection of symptoms such as chronic pain with increased sensitivity to pressure, muscle spasms, tenderness, stiffness, limited motion, and weakness of the upper trapezius muscle. The aim of this study was to compare the rate of decline in the neck disability of interventions for Integrated Neuromuscular Inhibitation Technique (INIT), Myofascial Release Syndrome (MRT), and ultrasound therapy. This research used experimental method with pre-test and post-test group design. This experiment was conducted in RSPI Puri Indah, Jakarta. These samples included 20 people who were divided into two groups of samples, are 10 people in the first group and 10 people in the second group. Samples in the first group had an average age of 30.9 years old with men as much as 4 people and women as much as 6 people. While the second group had an average age of 32.8 years old with men as much as five people and women as many as five people. The results of testing the hypothesis by using test independent sample t-test showed significantly differences between the average after intervention disability first group with mean after intervention disabilities neck second group, with the value of the first group (21.6 ± 4.6)% and the second group (15.6 ± 3.6)% with values p <0.05. It was concluded that the Inhibitation Integrated Neuromuscular Technique (INIT) and ultrasonic therapy was better in reducing the neck disability in the upper trapezius muscle myofascial syndrome, compared to Myofascial Release Syndrome (MRT) and ultrasound therapy. The decline in neck disability will significantly optimize the functional activity of the cervical spine.
