The results showed that the majority of elderly retirees received high levels of social support, while 60% of non-retired elderly experienced low social support. This research further revealed that eight out of ten had moderate self-efficacy. Financial stress for all elderly was low because social and financial support was high. The quality of life of the retired elderly was better than that of their counterparts due to their high income. Elderly employment, years of education, and income positively correlated with quality of life, suggesting that higher education and income led to better quality of life. Additionally, the regression test results showed that social support had a significant positive effect, and financial stress had a substantial negative impact on the quality of life of retired and non-retired elderly. This implied that higher social support and lower financial stress led to higher quality of life for both groups. Lansia kerap diperhadapkan pada berbagai permasalahan seperti rendahnya dukungan sosial, self efficacy dan financial stress yang mempengaruhi kualitas hidupnya. An increase in the number of children under the stunting category has become a challenge for Dramaga Village. One of the factors causing such an increase is the shortage and lack of public awareness and education regarding practices to prevent stunting, one of which involves providing sufficient nutrition in children under two years of age. Stunting in children can prove detrimental in later years as it in hibits both physical and mental development in children. Intervention in the form of a workshop with cooking demonstration for expectant mothers and mothers with toddlers serves to increase public awareness and understanding about appropriate practices to prevent stunting. All participants indicated moderate to high satisfaction towards the event whether from the speaker or from the cooking demonstration conducted. Pre-test results indicated that participants already possessed an adequate understanding of the material presented with an overall pre-test average of 94,4%. Participant understanding did not have a significant increase based on a t-test evaluation, however, materials presented in a lecture setting with visual aid and a cooking demonstration may be a more interesting method of presentation and socialization for participants.

Abstract

Fish families are vulnerable to poverty. The vulnerability of fishermen’s families leads to economic pressure that can reduce family well-being. This study aimed to analyze the influence of economic pressure, social capital, and coping strategies on the well-being of fishers. This cross-sectional study was conducted in the Aru Islands Regency, Maluku Province, Japan. The sample consisted of 50 skipper fisher families and 50 laborer families. Sampling was performed using snowball sampling. The data were processed using descriptive tests, independent sample t-tests, and structural equation modeling (SEM) tests. This research revealed that labor fisher families' economic pressures were higher than those of skipper fisher families. The social capital of skippers and laborers was classified as a low category. The coping strategies of the skipper and laborer fisher families were classified as in the moderate category. The well-being of skipper fisher families was higher than that of labor-fisher families. Economic pressure has a direct negative influence on fishers’ well-being. Social capital has a direct negative influence on fishers’ well-being. The research implication is that the well-being of a fisher's family can be increased by increasing social capital.

The research sample was selected using a stratified non-proportional random sampling technique based on lightly damaged and heavily damaged houses. Respondents in the study were the wives of earthquake survivors in Cianjur Regency, with 200 respondents. Data processing and analysis used Microsoft Excel, Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) 25.0 for descriptive analysis, and Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) for influence analysis. The results showed high religiosity, spousal interaction involvement, and high satisfaction. Coping strategies, frequency of husband and wife interaction, and potential conflict between husband and wife are in the medium category. This study shows that husband and wife interaction is positively influenced by husband and wife's education, age of marriage, family income-expenses, and religiosity and negatively influenced by husband and wife's age. In addition, religiosity also has a positive effect on coping strategies.
