Abstract

Sintrong is an Indonesian indigenous vegetable with leaves used for vegetables, digestive disorders, and burns. Changes in the environment due to an increase in temperature affect the growth and quality of sitrong, and its existence in the nature is threatened. This study aims to obtain information about the effect of exposure to high temperatures on the physiological character and flavonoid content of indigenous sintrong vegetables and obtain accession of sintrong, which can be developed as a functional vegetable. The Nested randomized group design was applied with two factors, temperature differences as the main plot and accession as a second plot. Four replications were conducted for each accession in the Cikabayan experimental garden of IPB. The results showed that exposure to high temperatures up to 32 °C increased the speed of flowering age, which was 4.76% and 7.14% faster and showed a high wilting rate of 36.66%, but decreased leaf area index up to 30.30% and 42.42% at the conditions above ambient temperature exposure (control). Flavonoid content did not show any effect due to exposure to high temperatures. The flavonoid content reached 1695.38 and 1834.83 mg QE 100 g-1. Bogor 1 accession showed the best performance so that the plants can be developed for functional vegetables. Based on the research findings, sintrong should be harvested earlier before flowering to obtain high leaf production and good-quality vegetables.

Abstract

Utilization of land with intercrop plants can support the productivity of the land. The wide spacing of oil palm plants can be used to plant intercrops. Spice plants such as red ginger, turmeric, and cardamom are examples of intercropping plants under the shade of oil palm. This study aimed to determine the adaptability of red ginger, turmeric, and cardamom as understorey plants of different oil palm ages. The research was carried out from February to November 2021 at Sekernan, Muaro Jambi, Jambi. The study consisted of three experiments to investigate three spice plants. Each experiment used a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with oil palm ages as treatments, namely 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 years. Variables observed included light intensity, plant height, tiller number, leaf number, and rhizome weight. The red ginger and turmeric were considered as adaptive plants to understorey conditions due to the yield of > 60% in 15-year-old oil palm trees than those grown in non-shade conditions. Production levels of red ginger and turmeric were determined by the number of tillers and leaves. The cardamom plant under oil palm shade produced a better yield than that in control. This implies that all three spices are suitable as intercrop plants under oil palm plantations. Keywords: cardamom; low light intensity; red ginger; shade stands; turmeric

Abstract

Objective. The purpose of this research is to apply the basic techniques of Indonesian soccer philosophy, namely attacking transition-defending, at SSB Pamong Praja Garut. Materials and Methods. The research employed an experiment with a one-group pre-test and post-test design, and was conducted at SSB Pamong Praja Tarogong Kidul Garut. The population consisted of 16 players, and the following instruments were used: First Touch test, passing test, dribbling test, heading test, shooting test, and soccer playing skills test (GPAI). SPSS version 26 was used for data processing. Results. The average values of the pre-test and post-test results are as follows: First Touch (pre-test 52.50 and post-test 69.38), Passing test (pre-test 218.13 and post-test 266.88), Dribbling test (pre-test 44.56 and post-test 52.69), Heading test (pre-test 49.50 and post-test 59.94), Shooting test (pre-test 81.88 and post-test 122.50), and soccer playing skills (0.3379-0.3857). Conclusion. Based on the analysis of data, it can be concluded that the application of the basic techniques of Indonesian soccer philosophy, namely attacking transition-defending, has a positive and significant influence on the improvement of the average values of the pre-test and post-test.

Abstract

Tanaman jintan hitam merupakan tanaman obat yang berpotensi untuk dikembangkan di Indonesia. Tanaman ini merupakan tanaman introduksi sehingga adaptasi dan teknik budidayanya masih terbatas diketahui di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan dosis pupuk N dan K yang dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi biji jintan hitam yang ditanam di daerah tropika. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juni hingga November 2016 di Kebun Percobaan IPB, Pasir Sarongge, Cianjur, Jawa Barat dengan ketinggian tempat kurang lebih 1,117 m dpl. Percobaan dilakukan dalam rancangan kelompok lengkap teracak dua faktor dengan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama yaitu perlakuan empat taraf dosis pupuk nitrogen (0, 120, 180, dan 240 kg N ha-1). Faktor kedua yaitu empat taraf dosis pupuk kalium (0, 30, 60, dan 90 kg K2O ha-1). Pupuk fosfor digunakan sebagai pupuk dasar dengan dosis 157 kg P2O5 ha-1. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis dengan Uji F dengan uji lanjut Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf α=5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pupuk N berpengaruh nyata terhadap panjang kapsul, jumlah kapsul berisi per tanaman, bobot biji per tanaman dan produktivitas, namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman jintan hitam. Perlakuan pupuk K tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi jintan hitam. Interaksi perlakuan pupuk N dan K tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi jintan hitam. Abstract

Sidaguri (Sida rhombifolia) merupakan tanaman berkhasiat obat dari famili malvaceae yang masih jarang dibudidayakan. Pengambilan sidaguri dari alam untuk memenuhi kebutuhan industri obat secara terus menerus mengancam keberadaan sidaguri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis bahan perbanyakan, komposisi media tanam, dan interaksi keduanya untuk menghasilkan bibit dengan pertumbuhan optimal dan efisien. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap Teracak (RKLT) faktorial dengan tiga ulangan. Terdapat tiga perlakuan jenis bahan perbanyakan yaitu benih, setek batang, dan setek pucuk serta empat komposisi media tanam yaitu tanah, tanah + kompos, tanah + kompos + arang sekam, dan tanah + kompos + pasir (1:1 v/v). Setiap satuan percobaan terdapat 10 tanaman sehingga total terdapat 360 tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perlakuan yang menghasilkan bibit paling baik berdasarkan pengaruh jenis bahan perbanyakan, namun komposisi media tanam dan interaksi kedua faktor tidak menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda nyata. Bahan perbanyakan yang baik digunakan sebagai bahan perbanyak sidaguri yaitu setek batang yang menunjukkan hasil paling baik pada daya tumbuh (56.67%), tinggi tanaman (29.4 cm), dan jumlah cabang (3.5) yang dicapai pada umur 8 MST. Abstract

The examination of sustainability within the textile industry necessitates an exploration of various environmental pollution issues. This study aims to tackle challenges in the synthetic dye industry by reviewing past research on textile dyeing, providing scientific insights, identifying patterns, and highlighting research gaps. It is hypothesized that the cultivation of Indigofera tinctoria with optimized NPK fertilization can significantly enhance its growth and yield, contributing to sustainable natural dye production. Using a mixed-methods approach, this study integrated bibliometric analysis of 1320 Scopus articles with field experiments. The bibliometric analysis, conducted with Vos Viewer software, identifies India and the United States as leaders in textile dye research. Key terms include indigo, indigo carmine, I. tinctoria, and natural dyes. A significant research gap is identified in the cultivation of I. tinctoria, particularly concerning the application of NPK (16:16:16) fertilization. Field experiments analyzed using R-studio demonstrate that NPK significantly increases the fresh weight of I. tinctoria at 11 weeks after planting. Pearson correlation analysis showed a significant correlation between the fresh weight of I. tinctoria on the dry weight of the plants (0.91***) and specific leaf weight (0.60*). These results indicate that advancing research on natural dye indigotin and the cultivation of I. tinctoria plants in the field is highly relevant to addressing research questions concerning the development of natural dye research and the cultivation methods of indigo dye plants in field conditions. NPK fertilization enhances the growth and yield of I. tinctoria, supporting sustainable cultivation in Indonesia. This research contributes to present a viable strategy for promoting sustainable natural dye production and addressing the identified research gap in the cultivation of this important dye-producing species. Future research should focus on optimizing NPK fertilization strategies to maximize yield and sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the literature on the dimensions of philosophy and sports based on scopus indexed articles. The research method used to conduct the analysis is bibliometric. Search and filtering strategy using PRISMA flow chart. The research review uses data in comma-separated values (CSV) format, which is then exported to Microsoft Excel and to visualize the search results of bibliometric analysis the tool used is VOSviewer. The conclusion of the study resulted in the development of publications with the domain of philosophy and sports dimensions experiencing fluctuating conditions, but in the last 10 years the number of publications has tended to be stable.

Abstract

Penyakit Ice-ice pada budidaya rumput laut menjadi masalah serius bagi para petani di Tarakan khususnya di Kelurahan Pantai Amal. Penyakit Ice-ice merupakan suatu ganguan fungsi, yang mengakibatkan terjadinya perubahan anatomi atau struktur dari normal menjadi abnormal, seperti perubahan laju pertumbuhan, perubahan penampakan warna dan bentuk yang akhirnya berpengaruh terhadap tingkat produktivitas. Rumput laut yang terinfeksi penyakit ice-ice dapat dilihat dari gejala awal yang berupa terjadinya perubahan warna menjadi pucat dan pada beberapa batang thallus menjadi putih dan membusuk. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut di atas maka dalam penelitian akan diusulkan pembuatan prototype alat yang dapat mendeteksi penyakit ice-ice pada rumput laut menggunakan sensor warna. Pembuatan prototipe ini mempunyai masukkan berupa rumput laut baik dalam kondisi sehat maupun yang terinfeksi penyakit ice-ice. Dalam perancangan prototype ini menggunakan sensor warna sebagai deteksi warna pada citra rumput laut dan Arduino uno sebagai sistem pemroses dan LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) sebagai keluaran yang akan menampilkan kondisi rumput laut. Penelitian ini menghasilkan keluaran alat yang dapat mendeteksi penyakit ice-ice dan rumput laut sehat pada citra rumput laut. Data citra rumput laut yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 42 data. Dari 42 data yang terdeteksi dengan benar menggunakan sensor warna adalah 38 data. Sedangkan 4 data terdeteksi salah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kualitas citra yang kurang baik sehingga mempengaruhi nilai intensitas warna pada citra rumput laut.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi motivasi siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler bola voli di MA Al-Manaar Muhammadiyah. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode survei. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler bola voli di MA Al-Manaar Muhammadiyah yang berjumlah 30 siswa, dengan sampel sebanyak 18 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler bola voli di MA Al-Manaar Muhammadiyah secara keseluruhan berada pada tingkat baik atau tinggi (39%). Faktor-faktor yang mendukung motivasi siswa termasuk faktor internal seperti fisik, minat, bakat, dan motif, serta faktor eksternal seperti lingkungan, keluarga, dan sarana prasarana di lingkungan sekolah. Meskipun motivasi siswa dinilai tinggi, namun rentan untuk mengalami penurunan jika tidak dikelola dengan baik. Motivasi siswa dalam mengikuti ekstrakurikuler bola voli di MA Al-Manaar Muhammadiyah dapat dibagi menjadi dua faktor, yaitu motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik. Motivasi intrinsik siswa dalam kegiatan tersebut dinilai sedang (39%), dipengaruhi oleh minat, bakat, dan motif siswa. Sementara itu, motivasi ekstrinsik siswa dinilai tinggi (44%), dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan sekitar, termasuk teman, keluarga, dan fasilitas yang tersedia di sekolah. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi siswa dalam mengikuti ekstrakurikuler bola voli di MA Al-Manaar Muhammadiyah dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor baik internal maupun eksternal. Diperlukan manajemen yang efektif untuk menjaga dan meningkatkan motivasi siswa agar tetap aktif dalam kegiatan tersebut.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the literature on learning models in physical education based on scopus indexed articles. The research method used to conduct the analysis is bibliometric. Search and filtering strategy using PRISMA flow chart. The research review uses data in comma-separated values (CSV) format, which is then exported to Microsoft Excel and to visualize the search results of bibliometric analysis the tool used is VOSviewer. The analysis resulted in the development of publications in the domain of learning models in physical education experiencing an increasing trend from year to year. Goodyear, V.A became the most prolific author by publishing as many as 5 research documents. The influential researcher with the most citations was written by Goodyear & Casey in 2015 (134 citations), the title of the article Innovation with change: developing a community of practice to help teachers move beyond the 'honeymoon' of pedagogical renovation. During the period 2012-2023, Indonesia became the country that has conducted the most research publications on the topic of learning models in physical education. While the country with the most citations is the United Kingdom with a total of 422 citations. The keywords that appear most in search analysis are physical education, learning model, cooperative learning, physical activity, e-learning, pedagogy, soccer, learning, motivation, and motor learning. The conclusion of the study resulted in the development of publication of learning models in physical education in the 2012-2023 period tended to increase.
