Abstract

Persebaya Surabaya merupakan klub Sepakbola yang ada di Surabaya, klub yang berdiri pada 1927 ini malang melintang di persepakbolaan Indonesia, salah satu klub terbesar di Indonesia ini memiliki basis Suporter yang dalam identitasnya di sebut Bonek (Bondo Nekat).  Sebutan Bonek sendiri mulai di perkenalkan pada sekitaran tahun 1980 an oleh Slamet Urip Pribadi yang merupakan Wartawan Jawa Pos. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti melakukan penelitian terhadap obyek yaitu Logo “Wong Mangap”. Peneliti menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode pengambilan data menggunakan Analisis Wacana Kritis dari Teun A. Van Dijk dengan menganalisan tiga aspek yaitu struktur teks, kognisi sosial, dan konteks sosial terbentuknya logo “Wong Mangap” ini. Jika dianalisa secara umum tercipnya logo “Wong Mangap” tidak terlepas dari terikatan Mr Muchtar melihat semangat serta fanatisme dari Bonek itu sendiri. Dari analisis Teks bahwasannya logo ini memiliki bentuk menyerupai ekspresi orang teriak dengan mulut yang terbuka dengan lebar. Menunjukan ide dan tema seorang Bonek yang mendukung Persebaya Surabaya di dalam stadion dengan penuh semangat dan dedikasinya. Pada kognisi sosial peneliti menemukan bahwa pencipta logo “Wong Mangap” ini juga mempunyai ketertarikan pada Bonek dan Persebaya. Logo ini juga di rasa oleh pencipta cocok dengan identitas kota Surabaya dengan julukannya sebagai kota Pahlawan.

Abstract

Rilisnya sebuah film dokumenter yang berjudulkan “Ice Cold: Murder, Coffee, and Jessica Wongso” memunculkan berbagai respon atas kasus yang diangkat. Tak banyak fakta baru yang diungkap, namun penyajian dari berbagai point of view sangat menarik perhatian masyarakat. Sehingga mendorong berbagai macam platform berita online untuk memberitakannya. Tujuan penelitian adalah menjabarkan perbedaan framing dan fokus dari poin yang ingin ditonjolkan antara media luar negeri dan dalam negeri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan Purposive Sampling dan dianalisis menggunakan Analisis Framing milik Robert N. Entman.  Dari delapan berita yang dijadikan objek penelitian, media dalam negeri melakukan framing fokus pada apa yang terjadi setelah film ini tayang, seperti meliput tanggapan orang-orang yang serana dengan kasus ini dan orang-orang yang sempat terlibat dengan kasus ini. Sedangkan, media luar negeri melakukan framing dengan fokus pada apa yang terjadi pada film ini. Menceritakan proses persidangan yang dinilai hanya panggung drama, dan tindakan yang dilakukan oleh semua aparat hukum yang terlibat dalam kasus ini. Hasil penelitian ini adalah dengan ditemukannya perbedaan pandangan pada proses framing berita yang dilakukan pada pemberitaan online dalam negeri dan luar negeri. Pemberitaan dalam negeri memiliki kedekatan (proximity) langsung dengan kasus ini, sedangkan pemberitaan luar negeri tidak memiliki hal itu, sehingga mereka hanya bisa fokus melakukan framing dari film tersebut.

Abstract

"Qabudayan" is a micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) located in Malang City, East Java. The primary focus of this business is online marketing and sales of ready-to-wear clothing with an emphasis on traditional batik fabric motifs. Currently, "Qabudayan" faces challenges such as a lack of attractive product photos, limited to a logo design, and digital mockups. Other constraints include unpreparedness in the sales system, marketing activities, and human resource management, hindering online sales efforts. The goal of this community service activity is to provide assistance to "Qabudayan" in developing social media through the provision of attractive product photos and the creation of quality marketing content on the Instagram platform. This is expected to enhance the effectiveness of online marketing and sales activities. The community service process is carried out in three stages. The first stage involves a situational analysis by conducting interviews with the "Qabudayan" brand to identify the challenges faced. The second stage includes program planning involving activities such as product photo shoots, assistance in creating Instagram social media content, and promotions. The third stage is the implementation of the planned program. The expected output of this community service activity is to assist "Qabudayan" in developing their Instagram social media, enabling them to create professional photo and video content. By showcasing traditional batik fabric motifs and engaging Instagram social media content, it is hoped that not only will "Qabudayan" attract potential consumers, but it will also support efforts to preserve batik culture in society.

Abstract

The problem faced in the Mbok Ndut Catering and Bu Sri Catering catering businesses is that there is no label on the packaging and does not have media as a promotion, so it requires rebranding the packaging design in the form of labels and promotion of the business on social media. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide solutions to the problems being faced. The method used is to provide training in the form of tutorials on how to manage Instagram accounts and how to operate the Google Maps application. The results of this community service are to help the two MSME players create a logo design, create an official Instagram account, create a content design for Instagram posts, create a packaging design in the form of labels, add the location of the Catering business address through the Google Maps Application, train or teach the two MSME players, manage Instagram by posting the menu that we provide with interesting content, and how to operate the Google Maps Application. Thus, in the future it can make it easier for the two MSME players to introduce their business to the wider community.

Abstract

The phenomenon of mass communication that is rife in this era is when social media is able to provide facilities for humans to be better known and insulted by many people. Data from a survey conducted by the We Are Social website states that as of January 2022 active users of social media in Indonesia have reached 191.4 million users. Social media has facilities as a medium of information that is packaged in the form of content. Public figures are one example of how someone uses social media well. A public figure must be careful in behaving because if he misbehaves, it can be fatal. Cancel culture is a new phenomenon in social media activities. it can be said that the cancel culture phenomenon plays a role in the process of social change where a certain view or rule is less acceptable to society. This study uses qualitative methods with narrative analysis. The results of the study show that the cancel culture practice in the Rizky Billiards case is in the form of cyberbullying which appears a lot on social media. Several cases were found on various social media such as Twitter to carry out career boycotts and exclusion. This ultimately had an impact on Rizky Billar's personal, family and career life. So that the practice of cancel culture that is carried out on public figures can be used as social control for other public figures.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the motives of @duniaislam2 tiktok accounts in preaching on tiktok social media, using qualitative research methods and phenomenological approaches with Alfred Schutz theory, researchers use 3 informants who are usually account managers @duniaislam2serta in-depth observations and interviews are carried out in the data collection process. So that the results of the research were found to be Motives Because (becauses motives) informants do da'wah on Tiktok due to 2 things, namely the experience of informants who previously had difficulty getting Islamic da'wah information because they had to go to mosques or majlis to listen to lectures and also the experiences of informants because they were interested in ansihat – advice given by other preachers that can be a guide for their behavior in the future so that informants want to be like that. Furthermore, Motif For (in order to motives) in doing da'wah on social media dTiktok found the results that there is an ease of getting information about da'wah – Islamic da'wah, can provide advice to many people through @duniaislam2 account.

Abstract

This study explores the use of Instagram Stories features as a self – disclosure media on @Azkhategar account. Self – disclosure is a form of communication in which individuals disclosure information to others. Through her Instagram account, Azkha actively self – disclosure with an average of 8 to 15 posts per day, showcasing aspects of herself such a lifestyle, fashion, and make – up. In its stories content, Azkha also collaborates with local brands to expand its audience reach. This study uses descriptive qualitative approach with non – participant observation and data analysis of Miles & Huberman model and the main theory used in this study is the theory of self – disclosure. The results showed that the use of Instagram Stories provides a platform for Azkha to strengthen her existence, build closeness with her followers and express herself creatively. In today’s digital context, social media such as Instagram plays an important role in facilatating self – disclosure and expanding individual social interactions. The findings provide valuable insights into how individuals utilize social media as a tool for sharing personal information and building self – image online. This research also contributes to the understanding of the use Instagram Stories in the context of self – disclosure.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the branding strategy used by the Bigetron E-Sport Team via the Instagram platform, with a focus on symbolic aspects of strategy, brand as a friend, nostalgia and event branding. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through non-participant observation of feed posts and reels from the @bigetronesports account. The theory used in this research refers to branding strategy concepts in the book "Strategic Brand Management". The results obtained from this research are that the Bigetron E-Sport Team has succeeded in implementing an adaptive, idealistic and differentiated branding strategy through the Instagram platform. They utilize symbols such as the color red and silhouette images to build a strong brand identity and attract fans' attention. Apart from that, the Bigetron E-Sport Team also uses Event Branding as part of their branding strategy, by holding offline events to increase brand visibility, attract media attention, and introduce players and sponsors to fans. By selecting these aspects, this research provides a deeper understanding of how the Bigetron E-Sport Team utilizes branding strategies through the Instagram platform to strengthen brand identity, deepen relationships with fans, and increase their presence in the E-Sport industry. It is hoped that this research will provide valuable insight for branding practitioners and E-Sport fans in understanding effective branding strategies in the context of social media.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the education sector experienced a significant impact, which made learning must be done online. This makes people demanded to be able to use technology, especially the parents of kindergarten-elementary students' guardians. Because in order to help work on school assignments given by teachers to students through digital media. In general, teachers on average kindergarten assign assignments at least once per day to students. Then the work is done by making a video of how to work on the assignment and it is done by the student's guardian. So that it is interesting through online media. Ganting Village, is one of the villages that also has a kindergarten school which is directly sheltered by a village government agency. In this condition, it is known that there are still many kindergarten-SD students' parents who are less well off in digital media as a means of running online schools. This situation makes many guardians difficult in facing the Brave school, starting from limited knowledge about technology, the cost of internet quota, which can also have an impact on the impact of interest in learning. The community service program entitled Education on the Use of Audio Visual Applications for Guardian Students in Ganting Facing Village Sekolah Berani Salama during the Pandemic Period aims to provide training to parents of students who currently find it difficult to use social media application technology in completing their child's assignments. The output of this program can be seen with scientific contributions to scientific articles, and video documentation of activities can be displayed via the youtube channel.

Abstract

Film can be a frame for electronic mass communication in an audio-visual media frame that is capable of displaying words, sounds, images and their combinations. Film is also one of the newest forms of communication that has emerged in the world. Films act as a modern means used to spread entertainment which has been a trend in the past, as well as showing stories, events, music, shows, comedy, and other special offerings to the open public. Film also agrees with Prof. such as mental influence and social influence.This research discusses the representation of Arek-Arek Suroboyo from the movie Battle Of Surabaya. The problem in this research is how the struggle contained in the movie. In conducting research, the author uses the research method used by Charless Sanders Peirce which consists of representamen, object, and interpretant. The results of the research using semiotic analysis of Charless Sanders Peirce get denotative meaning, namely the value of struggle. The conclusion of this analysis is to show the struggle of Arek-Arek Suroboyo in the Battle of Surabaya movie. As with the three components of the Charless Sanders Peirce sign, to be specific the representamen depicts the Arek-Arek Suroboyo scene within the Fight Of Surabaya film, the object portrays the Arek-Arek Suroboyo scene, and the interpretant interprets a meaning within the picture and depiction that adjusts the Arek-Arek Suroboyo scene in the Battle Of Surabaya film.
